THOR AND ASTRID AGREED TO FOLLOW THE HUMANS AFTER REALISING THEY MEANT NO HARM AND WANTED THE SAME AS THEY DID. Loki had been locked up in a large glass container by the agency, SHIELD.
Astrid watched a monitor anxiously as she saw Loki speaking to a man called Nick Fury through the glass. They spoke of how the cage was impressive and meant for something much stronger than Loki. The blonde queen furrowed her brow as she watched the dark-haired frost giant grin evilly up at the camera.
She was speechless. Astrid still could not believe this monster she saw on the monitor was the man she once had feelings for a year ago.
Captain America, who she now knew as Steve, turned off the monitor once Nick had left the room. Astrid turned to Thor, a look of disbelief on her face. An expression that mirrored Thor's.
"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" The man called Bruce Banner chuckled, sarcastically. Astrid had discovered that Bruce could turned into a green radioactive monster involuntarily. How interesting, she thought.
Steve sighed. "Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, Astrid, what his play?"
"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth. In return, I suspect, for the Tesseract." Thor answered, recalling his conversation with his brother before Iron Man crashed into him the night prior.
Steve's eyes widened as he looked to Astrid. "An army? From outer space?" She nodded.
"So he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for," Bruce deducted.
"Selvig? As in Erik Selvig?" Astrid asked, tilting her head.
"That's the one?" The scientist furrowed his brows, confused on how the blonde goddess knew of a random man like Erik.
"He's a friend," Thor spoke.
Natasha spoke up. "Loki has him under some type of spell, along with one of ours."
Steve rubbed his chin in thought. "I know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here."
"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki," Bruce stated. "That guy's brain is a bag full of cats, you can smell crazy on him."
Astrid furrowed her brow at his words. "Have care how you speak."
Thor nodded, agreeing with his friend. "Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard, and he's my brother."
Natasha shot him a look. "He killed eighty people in two days."
"He's adopted."
Tony, Bruce, Coulson and Nick then started discussing scientific research, using terms Astrid did not care to listen to.
Thor and Astrid left with Agent Coulson as he directed them to a different room. Thor expressed his concern of Jane Foster and her whereabouts, worried that Loki would find her. Astrid remembered back to the fight on Rainbow Bridge and how Loki would pay Jane a visit, threateningly, of course.
Coulson pulled up a file on Jane on the monitor in front of them. "As soon as Loki took the doctor we moved Jane Foster. We've got an excellent observatory in Traunsee. She was asked to consult there very suddenly yesterday. Handsome fee, private plane, very remote. She'll be safe." He explained.
"Thank you," Thor uttered as he stared at the picture of Jane.
Astrid rubbed his armoured shoulder, consolingly. "It's no accident that Loki took Selvig. I dread what he plans for him once he's done. Erik is a good man."
"He talks about you both a lot," Coulson revealed. "You changed his life. You changed everything around here."
"They were better as they were. We pretend on Asgard that we're more advanced, but we...we come here battling like Bilchsteim." Thor scolded himself. Astrid sighed and agreed with her blond friend.
"Like what?" Coulson furrowed his brow.
"Bilchesteim!" Astrid remarked, as if it was common knowledge. "You know; huge, scaly, big antlers. You don't have those?"
"Don't think so," Coulson shook his head, thinking about how terrifying it must be up there in the Nine Realms and Space.
"They're repulsive, and they trample everything in their path," Thor sighed as he walked to the over side of the ship to peer out the window. Astrid flicked through other files on the monitor, falling upon one of Loki. She looked to the picture displayed. He looks so evil. So unlike himself. She thought. They man that stared back her on the monitor was not the Prince of Asgard she met a year prior. This was not the man that fawned over her, complimented her, wooed her. This was not the man she grew to love.
This was the God of Mischief. This was man who doesn't care for Astrid. One who doesn't care for anyone but himself. One who kills, murders, tramples, sacrifices. Someone Astrid was not familiar with anymore.
"Let me see him," Astrid ordered Coulson just as Nick Fury walked in.
"You feel like you can make a break through with him?" The director asked.
Thor nodded on Astrid's behalf. "Loki had a soft spot for Astrid not long ago. I believe out of everyone on this ship, Astrid has the best advantage."
Astrid crackled a small smile. One unnoticeable if you're not paying attention. But she knew it was there. She wished it was not there, but she couldn't help it.
Nick sighed, placing his hands on his hips. "Alright then, have at it."

"I WAS STARTING TO BELIEVE YOU WOULD NEVER COME SEE ME." Loki spoke as he stopped pacing in his glass cage.
Astrid placed herself before him between the glass barrier. "What are you doing, Loki?"
Loki raised a brow as he smirked. "What ever do you mean, Astrid?"
The blonde queen sighed. "You know exactly what I mean."
"Tell me." Loki sat upon his chair, leaning his forearms on his knees as he stared at Astrid.
She sighed. Astrid looked around herself, seeing no workers around but seeing cameras. She peered into it, sending a look at it as if to say 'she's fine and not stupid for what she's about to do', knowing that Thor would defend her actions if Nick or Coulson freaked out. She made a portal into the cage and walked through it to sit next to Loki.
Loki looked surprised by her actions, not expecting her to do something like that.
"What are you doing?" He asked, staring at her as she sat next to him.
"I prefer to speak you face to face," Astrid spoke. "Plus this way, I can slap you if you step out of line," she smiled.
Loki chuckled. He turned to the queen next to him with a smirk. "Still so fiery."
She raised her hand, threateningly. "Remember what I just said." Astrid ordered. "What have you done to Selvig and the other agents?"
"I'd say I've expanded their minds."
Astrid looked out to the room beyond the glass, not wanting to glance at Loki. "And once you've won. Once you're king of the mountain. What happens then?"
"Why do you care for a few men? Not even if your own realm?" Loki sneered.
"Stop being so childish," Astrid spoke calmly. "Asking why I care for others is a redundant question, is it not?"
Loki laughed under his breath. "The realms are in the balance, yet you care only for this world. You, as well as Thor, are unworthy of your titles and realms."
Astrid narrowed her eyes and whipped her head to glare at Loki. "Excuse me?"
Loki grinned. "Someone who left their kingdoms unguarded is not worthy of said kingdom."
"Who said they're unguarded?" Astrid quipped, enjoying the look of confusion that passed his face. "You really have changed since we first met. You've turned into such a monster." She created a portal once more to outside the cage and stepped through it, closing it before Loki could escape. She began walking away before Loki said something that made her flatter.
"No, no, they brought the monster."
"So Mr Banner... that's what you're planning?"
Loki paused, confused. "What?"
"Thank you for your cooperation, Loki."
