ELLIOT THREW A PARTY FOR PAISLEY'S SONG. Alice was kind of stressing out because she had made a lot of the food for the party since it was at her apartment, and she was spying on everyone to make sure they were eating and enjoying. 

She really needed someone to talk to to distract her from that, but all of her friends were busy. Lindsey was off talking to George, Elliot was introducing Paisley to everyone that she already knew, Calfreezy was bothering Natalie, and Emi had disappeared with WillNE. 

"Hey, Alice!" a voice called from beside her.

The Murphy girl turned, and a grin spread across her face at the sight of the girl beside her, who she had not seen in a while. "Oh, my God. Flo! It's so nice to see you."

"It's been so long," Flo sighed, leaning in to hug the blonde girl. 

Alice nodded. She had forgotten how much she loved hanging out with Flo. They had met at an event about a year ago, and the girl had immediately clicked with her and Lindsey. "I know. We need to hang out more often."

"Definitely," Flo agreed with a nod before adding, "Arthur talks about you all the time, and I keep meaning to text you."

"What?" Alice exclaimed, her eyebrows raising in surprise as she felt the back of her neck heat up at the news. 

"Yeah, he literally will not shut up about you," Flo continued with a smug smirk. "He's so happy he's finally found someone he doesn't have to drag to the Natural History Museum."

The memory of that outing brought a small smile to Alice's face because she had genuinely enjoyed it so much, and the company had added to the fondness of the memory. "I love the Natural History Museum."

"Then, it's a match made in heaven," Flo chuckled. 

Alice's eyes widened, and she immediately shook her head because she and Arthur were just friends. "We're not dating, or anything like that."

"Oh! Sorry, I just assumed. The way Arthur talks about you..." Flo started, but she trailed off like she realized she might get in trouble, or something. "Never mind. Paisley's song is absolutely amazing, by the way."

"She'll be glad you said that," Alice replied, glad about the change in subject because she knew that she was blushing. 

"Well, I'm about to go tell her," Flo informed her. She leaned in and kissed Alice's cheek. "It's amazing seeing you. Want to get dinner some time this week?"

The Australian girl nodded, confirming. "Yeah, of course."

"So, what was that about?" a voice asked once Flo was gone, and Alice jumped as Lindsey appeared beside her. 

She raised her eyebrows at her best friend who had a smug grin plastered on her face. "Were you eavesdropping?"

"Of course," Lindsey answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world. She leaned in and quizzed, "Now, how do you feel about Arthur talking about you like you're his girlfriend?"

"I'm sure Flo was exaggerating," Alice concluded, shaking it off. When Lindsey shot her a look, she insisted, "I'm being serious! Arthur just wants someone to go to museums with, and it just happened to be me."

"Are you really as dumb as you seem?" the Harris girl questioned with a sigh, and Alice shot her a playfully offended look. Lindsey gestured to somewhere behind them. "Look at the guy. He's staring at you like you're the only girl in the room."

"He's probably not even looking at me," the blonde girl told her, shaking her head. She could not look at Arthur right now because she knew Lindsey would notice her blushing 

"Alice, you look fucking hot tonight," the brunette told her firmly, grabbing her shoulders and looking her in the eye. "He is 100% looking at you. The only question is what you're going to do about it."

Lindsey left to get a drink, and Alice sighed. She glanced over at Arthur, who was getting talked at by Arthur Hill. His eyes were already on her, and once he noticed that she was looking at him, he smiled and waved at her excitedly.

She waved back, trying to keep her cool. Finally, she decided that she just needed to have fun at the party and forget about everything. So, she downed the rest of her drink and headed onto the dance floor, joining Elliot, who had ended up there at some point.

He grinned when she joined him, and he grabbed her hands, flinging then around to the beat of the music. Alice laughed at they continued to dance together, letting her hair down and moving her hips to the music.

"Damn, I must be hot," Elliot said after a few minutes.

She furrowed her eyebrows, staring up at him in confusion because that was really random. She asked, "What?"

"I've made two guys jealous in the last half hour," he answered, pretending to flip his hair confidently, but that did not help her confusion.

She shook her head at him, leaning closer as they continued to jump up and down and dance. She questioned, "What the hell are you talking about?"

"First Harry wanted to kill me because I was talking to Paisley, and now ArthurTV looks like he's about to break down crying," he responded with a smirk.

Alice rolled her eyes, wondering why people kept bringing him up. If she didn't know any better, she might start believing that he liked her. She insisted, "No, he's not." 

"Yes, he is, but you and Paisley can be in denial together, if you want," he told her with a shrug. "In fact, Lindsey can join the club as well. The only one who knows their man is into them is Emi."

"Maybe you're just not good at detecting when people like someone," Alice replied, although she knew that he was right about Lindsey and George and Paisley and Harry. She was starting to get nervous.

And maybe hopeful.

"You're funny," he laughed out like it was the most ridiculous thing anyone had ever said. "I'm the king of romantic attraction."

She shot him a playful look because despite his charisma, he was still very single. "Let's not get too cocky. I haven't heard about you bringing anyone home recently."

"Okay, maybe not, but trust me when I say that that man is in love."

anyway, a small arthur and alice moment for you! alice is in deniallllll, and everyone else knows what's up. 

so far, i've only updated what a shame, but so it goes and mess it up will have party chapters soonnnn. i love you all, keep voting and commenting
