"THIS IS A MASTADON SKELETON," ARTHUR EXPLAINED. He had been pointing everything out to her and telling her what each exhibit was about. He didn't look down at a single description or name. He just knew it. He then walked over to a screen in the corner. "And here, you can get measured, and it'll compare your height to a bunch of different animals."

Alice smiled and stepped over to where he was, allowing him to measure her height. She looked up at him as he did so and chuckled, "I love this. It's like having my own personal tour guide."

"Yeah, I come here a lot," he responded, gesturing for her to step away so that they could watch the simulation. "Sorry if I'm being too nerdy."

"I like it. It's nice knowing that there's someone in this country that's an even bigger geek than me," she joked, and it was true. She never thought that she'd meet someone that actually wanted to talk about Mastadon skeletons and spend the day at a museum.

He nudged her shoulder playfully, pointing out, "Hey, hey, hey. You're the one that won that game of random facts we had last night."

"God, the architecture in this place is beautiful," she breathed out, staring up at the ceiling and spinning in a circle. 

Arthur watched her with a grin, and he informed her, "Yeah, each tile depicts a plant that's considered significant to the history of the museum and to Britain."

"That's so cool," she said. She was about to say something else, but she got sidetracked when she saw a model of some really old beetle that looked awesome. 

Arthur stood back and just stared at her in awe as she got excited about old pictures of bugs. That girl was perfect. She was pretty, a YouTuber, funny, and she appreciated history and science as much as, if not more than, he did. 

But he wasn't sure if she thought this was a date or just them hanging out. She had only met him the previous night, and she didn't seem like the type of girl to go on a date with just anyone. She definitely just thought he invited her because he had an extra ticket.

And he was too much of a chicken to ask.

So, he just enjoyed his hangout with the perfect girl and tried to make it last as long as possible. He walked up behind her and poked his head by hers, causing her to look up at him as he asked, "Wanna get some ice cream?"

"I love ice cream," she replied, and he beamed, turning on his heel and leading the way.

they went on a date that wasn't a date, and arthur's already falling in love with her
