"You sure you two will be alright, kid?"
Amaya held onto her daughters stroller handler in a securely way, she quite liked the stroller since it could also transform into a car seat when going on the road, and she was pretty thankful for her Godmother who bought this for her as a gift for her baby.
"Yup. We're good."
Dewey had briefly glanced at the hospital building before his eyes went back towards his Goddaughter, "Are you sure you want to see them, it's alright if you don't kid." He quickly spoke up, concern written all over his voice, "I know it's your decision, but I just don't want you walking in into a place where they may tell you things, and make you feel crappy." He's heard all about how the high-school kids treat his Goddaughter, yet hasn't heard from Amaya if her old friend group speaks terrible about her, but they really had no idea of the actual truth. A truth that Amaya has kept for nearly a whole year.
Amaya anxiously bit her bottom lip, head shifting towards the hospital before looking back at her Godfather, "I do, it's Tara." She quickly raised her arm, hand brushing some of her hair behind her ear, "I just want to make sure she's okay, and hear what she seen last night." She just hoped it's not who the press keeps saying it could be, the last time Ghostface has been mentioned was nearly eleven years ago.
Dewey, sighed while nodding his head, "Okay, okay. Just please call me when you want me to pick you both up," He quickly reminded her before speaking up, again, "And, please stop causing your dad problems, Amaya. You know he loves you, and wants the best for you." He sighed in pure desperation.
Amaya simply clenched her jaw, "Whatever you say, Padrino." She practically raised her voice, teeth gritting as she spoke that sentence with clear attitude as she pushed her daughters stroller, she wasn't in the mood to hear him, so she decided to continue on her path, she didn't want to lash out at Dewey.
Dewey watched his Goddaughter alongside with Paloma entering the building allowing him to place the cellphone in his ear, cautiously making sure she wouldn't turn back around, as he quickly spoke to the person on the other-line of the phone.
"Whatever you do, don't let her catch on."
He knew this was probably, no absolutely a dick move, but he needed answers on who hurt his Goddaughter, and a DNA placed on Paloma could possibly give him the answers.
"Once done, send it to me."
He hung the phone up, and slamming it on the passenger seat, and driving off.

"What room is Tara Carpenter in?" Amaya questioned the front dear nurse, a shy smile displaced on her face, she didn't know why she was always nervous speaking to people, yet she always felt a sting of shyness bubble up inside her.
The nurse looked at her computer, eyes narrowing as she made a oh face, "She's three doors down to the left, and just right where you see that young man entering is her room." The lady smiled kindly at her, Amaya shifted her head towards where she was being told, as she quickly noticed Wes entering in the room.
"Thanks."
Amaya hurried in her steps, "Wait, Wes!" She called out catching his attention, his eyes widening at someone calling out for him, as he sighed in pure relief that it just been Amaya. Though, his eyes drifted towards who else was with her, Paloma. He's briefly seen her, but yet Amaya was extremely protective on who could see Paloma.
"You made it!" He smiled, holding the door open for her, Amaya simply gave him an awkward smile, yet it quickly drifted when she seen Chad.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Chad briefly glanced at her, eyes darting down before he avoided the two. This was still difficult for him, yet he knew that the baby had no blame for what Amaya had done, but seeing this had made his heart crumble, this was a future he had wanted with her someday, but apparently plans don't always go as planned. And sometimes the people who you apparently trusted end being the ones who ultimately do the worst things.
Tara shifted in her bed, groaning in slight pain from her wounds, "It's like you know how to put a smile on my face even when I was almost fucking murdered last night," She joked, yet dark humor was a simple cure to last nights events, "Can I see her?" She practically pleaded, Amaya.
Amaya awkwardly taken her daughter out of the stroller, and allowing everyone to have a quick glance at the baby. Though, one of them tilted their head when they seen the baby, but decided to bite their tongue, and hold back. Amaya, had simply cradled her baby, walking towards where Amber was sitting by as she quickly stood in front of her to show Tara before heading to stand in between Wes and Mindy.
Wes decided to speak up after a long awkward silence, "So. . . who attacked you last night?" He just needed confirmation if Tara was correct about this, Tara's smile quickly faded.
"I fucking told you, Wes. It was Ghostface!" She basically responded with slight annoyance, "You know the one with the stupid mask, and that stupid voice shit!" She continued on.
Amaya quickly stiffened, Wes was right and Tara's confirmation basically revealed it. She held her daughter securely, how was she going to protect her with a killer out the loose, and apparently this killer is targeting someone in her old friend group. She anxiously bit her bottom lip, not noticing the concerned look Chad was giving her.
A part of him was desperate to simply ask her if she was okay, but the other part hadn't want to speak to her at all.
ย ย Mindy opened her mouth, "Wellโ" only to be interrupted when the door opened, revealing it to be Samantha and some guy beside her, just as everyone quickly remained silent at the sibling reunion.ย ย
ย ย Sam immediately headed towards Tara's hospital bed bending down with extreme concern written all over her face, "How are you feeling?" She questioned her sister, guilt written all over her face, she felt ashamed for abandoning her sister, but it was for the best.
ย ย Tara couldn't help, but slowly smile at her sister, "You came." She felt relaxed that her sister was here, it's been a long time since she has seen her sister. Reasons she didn't quite understand.
ย ย Sam had arm hand gently placed on Tara's shoulder, "Of course I came." She reassured her, a part of her would always come just for Tara was ever in danger, Sam turned her head around, eyes shifting upwards at the man in front of her, "This is my boyfriend, Richie." She introduced, quickly standing up.
ย ย Amaya noticed his curly-ish hair, a blond-ish beard, and how he had a backpack on, "It's so nice to meet you. I'm so sorry if I'm intruding." He awkwardly said, Amaya felt herself tense up at the man, a part of her felt really uneasy with him there.
ย ย Though, Amaya's eyes quickly shifted towards Samantha who was hugging the twins, Wes, and herself. Simply ignoring Amber who was also in the room, and never received a hug. Awkward. Though, she immediately felt the confused eyes Sam had given her after taking a double take, and noticing the baby in her arms. Chads? Perhaps, she can ask another time.
ย ย Samantha quickly headed towards Richie, slowly introducing each of the people in the room, "These are Chad and Mindy, the twins." The two had just awkwardly waved towards Richie before Samantha continued, "Wes, and Amaya." She pointed at them. Wes had given an awkward smile with a wave included, all while Amaya simply nodded her head before looking back at her baby who let out a yawn, "I used to babysit them all." Sam smiled at them.
Sam would usually at times babysit her when Marnie wasn't able to babysit her, or if she'd want to see Chad. . . she'd ask her father to let Samantha babysit her, and use a simple excuse that Marnie needed to study for school, and get good grades. It always worked.
Wes jokingly replied, "Which is always how I like to be introduced." He casually joked.
Amber had let a stiffened laugh, allowing Samantha to finally notice her. Samantha awkwardly eyeing the girl up and down. That out of all of her sisters friends, she wasn't quite fond of Amber.
Samantha had an awkward smile, breathing out, "And Amber. Hey." She retorted.
Amber let out a brief smile, "Hi. Nice to see you." She awkwardly said, eyes getting slightly big before she glanced at the person who spoke up, "Hi. I'm Richie." He said once, again.
Amber had a stiffened smile, awkwardly answering, "Hi." She had her hand placed on one of the hospital pillows.
ย ย Amaya briefly glanced at the two who had interacted, a part of her found it odd, but she instantly shrugged it off. Perhaps, this dude had a habit of introducing himself.
ย "Where's mom?"
ย ย Tara sighed, "She's stuck at a conference in London." She didn't really understand why her mom was across the country from them, and didn't even care to come home. Yet, work is more important, her eyes briefly glanced back at Sam who was confused, "She called me earlier." Tara confirmed.
ย ย Amber who had her arms crossed decided to speak up, "Yeah, for all of ten minutes." She practically scoffed.
ย ย Tara who looked completely tired, and upset from her mother not showing up just wanted to remain alone with her sister, it was how Amber noticed her discomfort.
ย "Uh, look, guys, Tara's really tired." She briefly glanced at the group, "Maybe we should just give her some space."
ย ย Everyone agreed, as Amaya was already placing her daughter back into the stroller just as everyone was letting out a couple yeahs. Just as everyone was continuing on their way out, Tara had interrupted, "Not you, Sam. I want you to stay." She called out.
ย ย Sam looked back at her sister, "Okay."
ย ย Chad alongside with Mindy both mumbled out, "But the rest. Yeah." They both said.
ย All had began to leave the room, as Chad kept the door opened for Amaya to simply pass by with the stroller that her daughter was inside in, as an awkward smile was being given to him.

"Answer the phone, Dewey!" Amaya basically groaned on the cellphone in pure frustration before hanging up the phone.
Paloma had began to cry, louder than before and Amaya knew it was time for her nap time. It was why she was extremely fuzzy, Though, they weren't even home for her to simply place her daughter in a comfortable bed.
Her phone began to ring, a sigh of relief escaping her lips, "About time, Dewey. Where are you?" She questioned him, using her shoulder to hold her phone, all while she had been cradling her daughter.
A sadist laughter was heard on the other line before they spoke up, "This isn't, Dewey." Her eyebrows had furrowed in pure confusion.
"Then who is this?"
The exact voice had let out a brief chuckle, "Has it been that long since we've seen each-other?" He easily questioned her, her face immediately showing a sight of pure horror, "I just want to know what your insides look like, Amaya seeing as I already had a sneak peak last year." He chuckled humorously, her heart pounding that he knew her name.
She quickly gotten up from her chair, holding her baby securely, "Listen here โ Asshole, leave me alone!" She shouted at her phone before hanging up, shoving her phone into her pocket as she walked back and forth in the waiting room.
Though, she jumped again when it rang, again. And, again. Already having enough she answered the phone.
ย ย "Leave me alone!"
ย ย "Listen here you little bitch!" Ghostface retorted in pure anger, "You hang up the phone, again and I'll gladly gut that baby of yours!" He called out, as Amaya gulped in pure horror. Ghostface couldn't help, but let out a hysterical laughter that he had finally gotten her attention, and simply stay on the call.
ย ย Amaya could feel and almost hear her heart thumping in pure horror, "What do you even want from me?" She questioned him, tears slowly falling down from her eyes.
ย ย "I want, I wantโ" He begin to think just for the fun of it, "I want to know what it's like to chase a mother who's holding onto their child in their arms." A sadistic laughter was heard on the other line.
ย ย "Whaโ"
ย ย Before she could even say anything else on the cellphone, the sound of a door opening was quickly heard, as her head had simply shifted towards the source of the noise, and she noticed it was Ghostface who wasn't that far from her.
ย ย Amaya quickly ran towards the door in front of her with her daughter in her arms, panicking as he was running towards her. Faster, faster. Head twisting to see if he had been there, but had ultimately vanished from her view, and just as she quickly looked forward to sigh in relief. He had ultimately stood right in front of her that made her let out a scream, especially when the knife in his hand was slitting both of her arms before shoving her harshly onto the ground, and vanishing.
The sound of her baby crying was heard all over the waiting room, as Amaya simply began to cry hysterically, and just as one of the doors opened making her flinch at the noice afraid it was Ghostface, she had immediately sighed in relief when she heard a familiar voice call out her name.
"Maya!"
