β βͺ CHAPTER SUMMARY β«
where we'll be discussing some of the basics about the tools and websites used in this graphic help book.
now, before we go on, do note that i don't use any apps; only websites for editing. this is bc i prefer editing on laptop and apps don't really work the same way on windows as it does with the mobile version. soo, most tutorials here are really possible for anyone to try.
β PSDs βͺ κ β«
PSD, short for photoshop documents, is a colouring or filter used on images. this filter is/can be developed on adobe photoshop by users and shared; the filter can only be used on photoshop. now before you worry about not having adobe photoshop, read on to the next part.
β photopea βͺ κ β«
https://www.photopea.com/
photopea is an online photo editor also known as an alternative for photoshop; thus it helps in using PSDs. it also has several helpful tools which pretty much serves as a perfect editing web. i mostly use it for adding psds and text and finishing touches.
β pixlr x βͺ κ β«
https://pixlr.com/x/
pixlr x is a similar editing web that has an easier-to-navigate layout perfect for beginners. it has many tools and options needed for beginner-to-average editing. I mostly use it for laying out the elements in a graphic and planning out any artwork, since the web's layout makes me feel more at ease.
β canva βͺ κ β«
https://www.canva.com/
canva is another easy-to-use editing web that i use more for making themes and moodboards. they also have a wide pick of resources and templates free for designers to use.
β background remover βͺ κ β«
https://www.remove.bg/
background remover, like it obviously implies, is a useful website used to remove backgrounds manually.
β βͺ ari's note β«
im pretty sure thats all the websites i use.
ps: i do sometimes use ibis paint x for vector arts and just generally for other stuff; but i mostly use the above websites for all the major stuff.
