      "SO you're leaving?" Marina's voice questioned Jeff who tossed a tennis ball towards Nerf and Myron who chased after the bouncing object down the hallway, of Marina's California home. Jeff had informed her that David had the bright idea of a few of his friends to go Sky Diving. Yes, sky diving.

The immediate reaction when Jeff had informed her about the heinous idea, was uncontrollable laughter. As she thought this was a dumb bit for a vlog.

However, seeing the reluctant look on her boyfriend's face told her that he was in fact being truthful. She stared at him for a moment, Marina was never the type to order her significant other around or tell them what to do, she was laid back but did speak her mind when needed to.

However when it came to life or death, she was very vocal, as she had been so in the past with her late boyfriend, Malcolm.

"No." She said, immediately walking away from him and towards the kitchen.

Jeff rose a brow at this and dropped the ball from his dog's mouth and followed after the brunette, "What?" He asked shocked at her response.

"I said no." She repeated, "Wanna hear it in Spanish? Noh." She said grabbing a cup to fill with water for herself.

"I don't need your permission." He retorted.

"You're scared of heights--" She began.

"And this will help with that."

"Jumping out of a plane thirty times a day? Are you fucking crazy?" She snapped looking towards him now.

Jeff rolled his eyes, "We just have to do it 25 times and we get our license for it. I know it's fucking insane but I wanna do it."

"You wanna do it, or David wants you to do it?" She asked placing the cup on the counter glaring towards him. Jeff looked away clenching his teeth at her words. "You always need to prove yourself to everyone, why? With everything that's happened with them, you're still defending them now you're gonna do this shit? Are you fucking kidding me, Jeff?"

"You only stopped talking with them because your manager told you to. Don't act like you do shit for yourself, and on your own terms."

"I stopped talking with them because of what happened and now I'm starting to understand why Trish hates the group so much. There's so much lying going around and now he wants to put you and some of the others in a plane to jump out of 10 times a day? Are you hearing yourself? Do you not understand how stupid and fucking reckless this actually is?" She argued, tears breamed her doe eyes.

"We'll be safe." He argued.

"You don't know that!" She yelled at him.

Jeff looked down, she was right. But in his eyes, he was thirty and he's spent most of his life either in prison or running from the cops.

He finally found a career for him on YouTube, met some friends and he was in a good place. And he felt like he owed quite a bit of it to David, he gave him a platform, a place to belong in a way. He understood where she was coming from, she was scared he'd get injured or worse. She'd lost so much and was finally in a good place, with him.

Was he being selfish? Yes. Did he want to do this? He wasn't sure, but he did want to try and stop hiding behind people who told him no and what to do. He wanted to feel ... free.

"Please don't do this." She begged softly.

Marina stared at him as he was clearly having an inner battle with himself, his dark eyes were darting across the marble counter tops and he thought over his next words carefully. Her face softened slightly only for it to fall in one of disturbance.

"I'm leaving for LAX  at 4 if you wanna come with me." He said calmly before glancing at her one more time and grabbing Nerf's leash. Leaving her alone in the house with her dark thoughts.

The sound of glass shattering echoed the large home.

Marina stared at the wall that was now covered with water, glass shards laid on the marble floor. She sat on the floor opposite of it, as tears began to cloud her vision.

been mia lately, took some time away from the app for personal reasons, i feel like i've been doing that a lot lately. but anyways, i've officially decided to include what's currently going on with the Vlog Squad, ie, Jeff's accident.

I don't support any of them besides Jeff, really. tbh i only watched the videos for him... but besides the point, i want to include it in this book as we are finally understanding why Jeff got the eye injury and i feel like it'd be good for the story as well.

I'm not going into detail with the Dom situation, but i will be focusing on what happened with Jeff's accident, since this is obviously a Jeff Wittek fic.
