         "YOU look like a principessa." Joan sniffled starring at her daughter in the ball gown, she watched as Marina giggled and twirled in the grey pool of tulle. She walked over to her daughter as the seamstress' moved away to pack their things for later, "They'd be so proud of you." She said softly as Marina nodded sadly. "No tears today. Only when you win, we'll cry. But as for now, you go out there and show everyone the real queen has arrived."

"Ma!" Marina whined jokingly.

"I'm just saying. You look absolutely stunning. I couldn't be more proud of you, so is your father."

Marina smiled faintly, "I'm glad you're both here, by the way." She admitted, "I don't know if I could get through today with out you two."

"Of course. We'll always be behind you, always." Joan adjusted her daughter's hair.

"I'm happy I have everyone I love with me tonight." She breathed out touching the ring on her index finger on her right hand, the same ring Mac had given her years ago.

Joan place her hand over Marina's, "You're going to do amazing tonight, and no one can take that from you. Your father, brother, friends, me, and Jeff. We're all here for you, and you're going to kill it."

"I love you, mommy." She hugged her mother who hugged her back.

"I love you."

In the other room, Jeff adjusted the sleeves to his suit nervously. He ran his tongue over his lips before he ran his long slender fingers through is hair.

"You look like you're about to be sick." Phil joked.

Jeff nodded, "I never exactly did a red carpet with Marina, let alone something as big like the Grammys." He explained as Marina's brother nodded in understanding.

"They'll just ask about the two of you and expectations, you know."

"Yeah."

"If it makes you feel better, the attention will be on my sister, but I'm not gonna lie and say they won't ask you questions since you guys got together and haven't really talked about it." He explained adjusting his suit.

Jeff nodded.

"Well, don't you two look handsome." Marjorie gushed in glee looking at her grandson then to Jeff.

"Nona." Phil whined as the older woman smiled and kissed his cheek, he excused himself and made his way over to his wife.

"You remind me so much of my husband." She sighed as Jeff smiled down at the woman, "He too was a looker in his time."

"Aye, he still was even at 90." He joked as the woman laughed, "I mean so do you. Something I've noticed from being with Marina is that the women in the family do not fail to make a statement." He said gesturing to her pearl Chanel earrings.

She laughed lightly, "Looks like it's time." She said nodding behind him as Marina exited through the double doors.

Jeff felt as if everything around him stopped as he stared at his girlfriend across from him. She looked as if she had stepped out of a Disney princess movie. She adjusted the bottom of her dress awkwardly as she awaited for the man to say or do something rather than stand there like a statue before her.

Phil nudged Jeff who nearly stumbled before adjusting his suit and walked over to her still in awe.

"You look--" He began as she shyly looked up at him, "Prettiful." He breathed out as she let out a giggle recalling his words when she had first met him. Only now, he didn't really care he was fumbling over his words because she truly would take your breath away in person.

"You look prettiful too." She said as he took in her dress, she smiled taking his hand in her own.

"I -- I don't even know what do say." He admitted with a laugh. "Wow."

"Come on love birds, car is waiting." Ed Parker spoke up placing his hand on Jeff's shoulder.

Marina smiled up at her boyfriend before reaching up and pressing her lips against his own, "Thank you, for everything." She said as he kissed the tip of her nose and than her forehead.

"Thank you."
