         MOVING on was something Marina had yet to grasp these past few months. Whether that be from past relationships, a failed engagement, and the loss of a soulmate. She was still struggling mentally and everyone around her knew it and her fans took notice of it as well, especially during live performances. On stage she didn't have anywhere to hide if she was feeling emotional, online she could simply post a picture and cry in the comfort in her own home.

But performing in your late ex boyfriend's hometown, wasn't something she could or would skip out on. Despite being told it was too soon to tour, or release an album, she still pulled through. And she knew she had to get passed tonight's show in order to move on.

Begin a new chapter.

However she still had to get through tonight's show.

Sniffles left the brunette as she sat alone in her dressing room starring at the mirror before her. She fiddled with the ring on her finger.

In the hallway, backstage stood a group of vloggers all awaiting for the brunette to wish her luck. Despite being told by security they had to make their way to their seats, and Joan's as well as her son's dismissals of the men who argued with the influencers behind them.

The countdown could be heard clearly above them, as Dang! by Mac Miller ft. Anderson .Paak played through the stadium.

Jeff shoved his hands into his jean pockets as he glanced around before slipping out the back and making his way down the corridor until he came to a halt seeing the name he had been looking for on a white board printed with black marker.

He knocked gently on the door. No response was heard.

He grasped the handle seeing it was unlocked, he knocked once more, "Marina?" He called out seeing the long pony tail of Marina Parker. She looked up meeting his eyes, her reddened ones averted away back down to her lap. "Hey . . ." He trailed off walking over to the brunette he crouched down next to her as she rubbed at her nose and toyed with the tool of her bottoms. "You're going to do great tonight, like always. Okay?" He said placing his hand over her own.

"He should be here." She whispered her breathing staggered.

Jeff looked down and nodded, "He is. He'll always be here with you. It might not be in the way you want it to be, but he is here. And I'm sure he's so fucking proud of you." He assured her with light squeeze of her hand.

"How do you know?" She shook her head.

He tilted his head, "Because I am." Marina looked over to the man who gave her a small smile. "Your mom is, your brother, your nona. Your fans, your friends. Everyone is proud of you and they just want you to get through tonight." Marina nodded softly, he continued, "I only got to meet Mac once but he was kind and hilarious, but overall a chill kind of guy. He talked about you, it wasn't a secret you two were probably soulmates and I might envy that." He admitted, Marina frowned at his words. "My point is, he'd be so proud and he wouldn't want you to blame yourself for what happened, he would want you to live for you and for him, because that's all you can do." He finished letting out a breath.

Marina stared at the man before her, she pressed her lips against his stubbled cheek. Jeff blinked up at her, slightly stunned by her actions.

"Thank you." She said with a nod, "I'm really happy I said yes and got into that Tesla that day." She said with a small smile as he laughed lightly.

"Ari, you gotta go."

The two looked up seeing Phil Parker in the doorway, his brows were raised as his sister shuffled to her feet and Jeff stumbled to get up. Marina walked over to her brother who moved his curious gaze from the man behind her and placed his tatted hand onto her shoulder, "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay." She nodded reassuringly.

Nodding, he reluctantly stepped aside as she exited the room.

Jeff cleared his throat and walked over only to be stopped by the slightly taller former wrestler. Jeff stood his ground starring at the man who smiled sarcastically at him and allowed him to pass, Phil hit his palm against Jeff's shoulder startling him. "Six feet apart from her." He joked as Jeff looked up with raised brows only to the man struggling to keep in his laughter.

"Marina!" The voice of Robert hit her ears as he brought her into a hug followed by her other friends.

"You guys all came?" She breathed out almost in shock.

"Yeah, your security is really handsy." Zane said glaring at one of the tall men then to the shorter one.

Marina rolled her eyes at the man.

"Obviously we came." Robert remarked, "We'll always be here for you." Marina smiled at his words.

"Come on people! Countdown is at fifty. Positions--" Scooter yelled out as he approached Marina and looked between her friends, "Your seats, you guys can come backstage once this one comes back." He laughed ushering them all out from the behind the curtains.

"Good luck!" Corinna, Victoria, and Natalie shouted.

"Good luck Marina!" David and a few others yelled back as they exited through the curtains.

Jeff looked back seeing Marina taking in a few shaky breaths before looking over to him. He gave her a nod as she offered a tight lipped smile. "Come on." Scooter ushered him out to his seat, security leading them into the crowd of loud fans.

"You got this." Scott placed his hand on her forearm, she smiled at the twin.
