━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 dreaded taking a test in her entire life. She was smart, she's passed every assignment and every test with flying colors. She wasn't worried at all, she knew she would pass, but with Umbridge being the one to watch over them as they took their O.W.L.s Juniper was absolutely dreading it. This test was going to take hours, and Juniper could barely stand looking at Umbridge for more than five minutes. So, she sat there, she did her exams, and she forced herself to not look up once because she had a feeling if she even looked at the woman she would try to say she was cheating and fail her.
The silence in the room was almost deafening, the only sound you could hear were quills scratching against paper. That silence was interrupted by a loud thud. Juniper paused, turning her attention towards the closed doors where the noise had come from. The thud happened again, and again, and again until finally Umbridge walked forwards towards the doors in order to investigate. The students all watched as she pulled the door open before a spark flew in her face. The spark went flying into the hall where they were taking their exams, exploding into a fire work. More and more of them showed up until it was absolute chaos.
Juniper couldn't help herself as she laughed, watching as the twins flew on their brooms into the room, pulling out their wands and sending all of their exams flying through the air. Juniper smirked as she looked at the horror on Umbridge's face before looking back up at the twins, watching as they pulled out a large firework before throwing it. Multiple fireworks went off before it formed into the face of a dragon and chased Umbridge out of the hall before the jaws of the dragon clamped down on her and the dragon exploded into tiny fireworks. The tiny fireworks destroyed all of the ruled that had been mounted into the wall before it stopped.
Umbridge stood there, her hair completely messed up, and watched as all of the rules crumpled to the ground. Fred and George quickly flew by her causing her to let out a scream and all of the students followed them with cheers, standing out in the courtyard as they sent off more fireworks until a giant W was sparkling in the sky. All of the students stood there cheering and clapping. Juniper had the biggest smile on her face, sharing a laugh with Hermione before turning her head in search for Harry. Her smile slowly started to fall as she watched Harry stumble before he was sitting on the ground.
Juniper quickly moved towards him, kneeling on the ground and looking at him. After a moment, Harry met her eyes. "It's Sirius." Juniper felt a hand place itself on her shoulder, looking up to see Hermione.
Juniper swallowed. "Is he dead?"
Harry shook his head. "No. Not yet."
Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Juniper walked up a moving staircase with Hermione asking, "Harry, are you sure?"
"I saw it." Harry breathed. "It's just like with Mr. Weasley. It's the same door I've been dreaming about for months. Only, I couldn't remember where I'd seen it before. Sirius said Voldemort was after something. Something he didn't have the last time and it's in the Department of Mysteries."
"Harry, please, just listen." Hermione begged, coming to a stop. Harry turned to look at her. "What if Voldemort meant for you to see this? What if he's only hurting Sirius because he's trying to get to you?"
"What if he is?" Harry asked with a frown. "I'm supposed to just let him die? Hermione, he's Juniper's father. He's the only family I've got left."
"What do we do?" Ron asked.
Harry started up the steps again and they followed him. "We'll have to use the Floo Network."
"Umbridge has the chimney's under surveillance." Hermione argued.
"Not all of them." Harry quickly led them into Umbridge's office, Ron closing the door behind him. They walked over to the fireplace in Umbridge's office, lighting it up with green fire. "Alert the Order if you can."
"Are you mental? We're going with you." Ron argued.
"I'm definitely going." Juniper said, no room in her voice for disagreement. Harry looked at her and nodded.
He looked back at Ron. "It's too dangerous."
Hermione kneeled down beside him. "When are you going to get it into your head? We're in this together."
"That you are." Quickly, they all spun around to see Umbridge standing there.
"Lady, I don't have time for your bullshit right now!" Juniper growled.
"Don't worry, Miss Black, you'll be expelled after this." Umbridge assured. Juniper glared harshly at her, ready to pounce only for Harry and Hermione to quickly grab her just as she went to take a step forwards.
Harry was placed in a chair in front of Umbridge, Juniper was being held onto by one of the Slytherin's while Ron and Hermione stood beside her along with Luna and Ginny. They each had a Slytherin pointing their wand at them, but Juniper's was physically restraining her. Juniper looked up when Draco entered, her anger intensifying when she saw Neville in his grasp. "Caught this one trying to help the Weasley girl." He dragged Neville over to the rest of them.
Umbridge leaned forwards and looked at Harry. "You were going to Dumbledore, weren't you?"
"No," Harry answered.
"Liar." Umbridge slapped him and Juniper surged forwards only to be roughly pulled back, a wand jabbing into her neck. Anger radiated from every inch of her body, the plates that lined Umbridge's walls with cats began to shake along with her.
"You sent for me, headmistress?" Snape entered the room, glancing at the situation unimpressed.
Umbridge stood up straight and looked at him. "Snape, yes. The time has come for answers whether he wants to give them to me or not. Have you brought the Veritaserum?"
"I'm afraid you've used up all my stores interrogating unit," Snape replied. "The last of it on Miss Chang." Snape raised his brows. "Unless you wish to poison him and I assure you, I would have the greatest sympathy if you did. I cannot help you."
Snape turned to walk away but Harry stopped him. "He's got Padfoot. He's, he's got Padfoot at the place where it's hidden."
Umbridge frowned, looking at Harry before snapping her gaze to Snape. "Padfoot? What is Padfoot? Where what is hidden? What is he talking about, Snape?"
Snape turned his head to look at Harry. He stared at him for a moment before raising his brows as he said, "No idea."
"Very well." Snape walked away and Umbridge turned towards her desk, away from Harry. "You've given me no choice, Potter. As this is an issue of Ministry security you leave me with no alternative. The Cruciatus Curse ought to loosen your tongue."
"That's illegal," Hermione argued.
Umbridge reached forwards, placing the picture she had of the Ministry on her desk face down. "What Cornelius doesn't know won't hurt him."
"If you touch him, you vile woman, I swear to God―︎"
"There will be none of that, Miss Black." Umbridge dismissed her. She picked up her wand, pointing it at Harry. Just before she could cast the curse, Hermione interrupted.
"Tell her, Harry!" Hermione yelled.
Umbridge looked at her. "Tell me what?"
Hermione exchanged a glance with Juniper and almost immediately she caught on. She held her chin up and looked at Harry. "Tell her where it is, Harry, or Hermione and I will."
Umbridge now looked at her. "Where what is?"
"Dumbledore's secret weapon." Hermione answered.
Umbridge looked at her before lowering her wand. "Show me."
Harry, Hermione, and Juniper walked through the Forbidden Forest with Umbridge following behind them, pointing her wand at them. "How much further?" Umbridge asked.
"Merlin, you're impatient." Juniper muttered.
Hermione ignored her as she answered, "Not far. it had to be somewhere students wouldn't find accidentally."
Harry got close to Hermione and whispered, "What are you doing?"
"Improvising," Hermione whispered back.
When they got to the place where Grawp was supposed to be, they came to a stop, finding him not there with the only evidence of him ever being there his rope that was wrapped around the tree. "Shit," Juniper cursed.
"Well?" Umbridge asked. "Where is this weapon?" She looked between the three of them, moving to where she was standing in front of them. "There isn't one, is there? You were trying to trick me." They said nothing. "You know. . . I really hate children. You really are the most untidy creatures. Lord knows, I've tried to help you to instill discipline and respect for the decorum. I've tried my very best to bring order. But at every turn, I've been assailed by chaos. I mean, look what you've done to me! I really cannot take it anymore! Uh, but I must. Authority must be upheld. Sometimes the ends do justify the meanings. Exactly, no one could blame me. And if it falls to me to sort out yes, to tie up a new sense, then so be it. For the greater good I will do what must be done."
Juniper quickly stood in front of Harry when Umbridge raised her wand but before she could yell out the curse, there was a crunch behind her. She quickly snapped her head towards the sound. On top of the small hill stood the centaurs, staring down at Umbridge menacingly. Umbridge stumbled back until she was standing behind the three of them. "You have no business here, centaur. This is a ministry matter."
The centaurs moved forwards, notching arrows into their bows. "Lower your weapons. I warn you, under the law as creatures of near-human intelligence." The centaurs ignored her, one of them shooting their arrow which she quickly deflected. "Protego!" She was shaking at this point, staring at the centaurs. "How dare you! Filthy half-breed." She held out her wand. "Incarcerous."
A rope wrapped around the body of one of the centaurs, causing him to cry out, struggling against it's constantly tightening grip. The centaur rolled down the hill, fighting against the rope. Hermione and Juniper quickly ran forwards, trying to pry the rope off of him. Hermione quickly turned towards Umbridge as Juniper kept trying to pull of the rope. "Please. Please, stop it. Please."
"Now enough!" Umbridge yelled, silencing her. "I will have order!" Suddenly she screamed as she was picked up by Grawp. The giant examined her as the centaurs charged forwards and starting shooting at him. The centaur finally got free of his ropes and joined his brothers.
Hermione ran towards the centaurs, Harry and Juniper following her. "Leave him alone! It's not his fault!" Harry quickly grabbed Hermione's arm and began pulling her away from the chaos with Juniper following quickly. "No, he doesn't understand!" When one of the arrows finally hit the giant, he looked at Umbridge before dropping her to the ground. The trio stopped.
The centaurs started surrounding Umbridge. "Potter, do something. Tell them I mean no harm!"
Harry took a step forwards. "I'm sorry, professor. But I must not tell lies."
The centaurs grabbed her and began taking her away. "What are you doing?! I am Senior Undersecretary Dolores Jane Umbridge! Let me go!"
Grawp pulled the arrow from his arm, snapping it in half. Hermione looked at him. "Thank you, Grawp."
"Hermione, June." Harry said, voice filled with nerves and warning. "Sirius."
The three of them quickly made it back to the castle, coming to a stop when they saw Ron, Neville, Ginny, and Luna running towards them. "How'd you get away?" Hermione quickly asked.
"Puking Pastilles." Ginny answered. "It wasn't pretty."
Ron smiled. "Told them I was hungry, wanted some sweets." Ron handed them back their wands. "Of course, they told me to bugger off and ate the lot themselves."
"Is the world ending?" Juniper asked. "Ronald Weasley finally comes up with a clever plan."
Ron shrugged. "It's been known to happen."
"It was brilliant!" Neville backed him up. He looked at Harry. "So, how are we getting to London?"
Harry looked at all of them. "Look, it's not that I don't appreciate everything you've done, all of you, but I've got you into enough trouble as it is." Harry walked past them, stopping only when Neville called out to him.
"Dumbledore's Army's supposed to be about doing something real. Or was that all just words to you?"
Ron looked at his best friend with sincerity. "Maybe you don't have to do this all by yourself, mate."
Harry stared at him for a moment before asking, "So how are we going to get to London?"
Luna smiled. "We fly, of course."
Juniper smiled brightly. "Hell yeah we do. Lead the way to one of your weird and exciting creatures, Luna."
