Chapter-5

Author's pov:

The opera music filled the entire mansion. Uncle Hajun sat on his white couch with his legs apart as he sipped his martini cocktail with his eyes closed as he enjoyed the Italian atmosphere surrounding the living room. He had visited Italy for a business party held by his business friend Rudolph Argento, the old man was quite bewitched by the ethereal beauty of the country and their culture.

Mr. Min Hajun, guardian of Jimin, Taehyung and Tan, was the secretary of Jimin's Dad, the most trusted person of the Elysian family. When the three kids were going through a disastrous past, he was the one who decided to stand with them like a pillar. Since then, he had been looking after them, giving them parental love and trying to never give a chance for them to miss their parents.

A figure walked into the room interrupting his moment as he notified him, "Sir, they have arrived."

A smile made its way to his lips as he nodded and ordered, "Get some coffee for them and don't forget the bagels and donuts." The man nodded and headed to the kitchen.

And in the next moment, two young men made their way into the living room meeting his eyes. The broad smiles on their faces showed the intense love they had for this old man.

"Good evening, uncle." The two greeted in unison as they bowed at him showing their utter respect. The old man just chuckled and gestured to them to take a seat in front of him.

"Enjoyed the match?" He asked, placing his empty glass on the mini coffee table. Anyone who would come into this mansion would definitely love the transitional interior, the whole setup was giving off a comforting vibe.

Taehyung scoffed, "Of course, especially after the third quarter." Jimin quickly arched an eyebrow understanding what Taehyung meant, he shouldn't have trusted his cousin with this. Now he will definitely spread this crush thing to the whole world, he shook his head in dismay.

"Oh? Looks like Tan made your day." Uncle laughed, nodding at Jimin who reciprocated when internally he was hoping for Taehyung to not open his mouth, after all, this wasn't something to discuss with elders especially when it's not serious.

Taehyung laughed along and replied, "He did, but apart from him someone else made my day." He teased, flipping his hair while side-eying Jimin. Uncle Hajun grew curious as he laid his left leg on his right and asked about this person.

But before Taehyung could even answer , Jimin interrupted him, "Yeah! He found a girl, she was sitting next to him." Taehyung pushed his tongue to his left cheek as he looked at him getting sweaty, "And trust me uncle, his whole concentration was nowhere near his own little brother. Instead it was the whole time lingering on that girl."

Uncle broke into a fit of laughter as he gazed at Taehyung and heard Jimin continue, "Now didn't you teach us that family comes first? Look at him disobeying you!" He pointed at Taehyung like a five year old child, Taehyung found it cute but the way he turned the tables stunned him.

Taehyung chuckled, rubbing his lower lips with his index finger as he looked at the tray with two cups of coffee in it being placed on the mini table along with some bagels, crepes and donuts.

"Well, well, well. I will spare you this time." He mumbled as he moved closer to his cousin, who placed his hand on Taehyung's chest and pushed him away with a small smile on his face.

Uncle Hajun looked at both of them, he understood that something had happened but that was something he wasn't supposed to know and as always he wouldn't force his kids to share it with him, they were adults after all and they knew how to handle things on their own. He would only offer help whenever it's something that must be done with utter perfection.

He clasped his hands with a sound that grabbed their attention, "Enough, now fill your stomachs." He said, showing the coffees and foods. The two chuckled and grabbed their cups, taking a sip and glared at each other.

Uncle cleared his throat and tried to cool down the atmosphere, "I am going to prepare a special dinner for Tan, you should invite your friend Namjoon and Falynn as well."

Jimin took another sip and grabbed a cookie as he replied, "I can't guarantee you that Falynn will join us. But let me try." He took out his phone and dialed her number as he excused himself and walked out of the room and further into the hallway that led to an outdoor patio.

Taehyung fished out his phone and sent an invite to Namjoon, "But Namjoon Hyung will join us." He said, confidently and earned a hum from the old man.

He placed his empty cup back on the tray and whined, "Uncle, I still don't understand why you insist on sending Tan to the U.K."

Uncle frowned slightly and poured some martini into his glass, "Why not? It's his dream to study there and as his uncle, I have the right to fulfill his dream. You all studied there too!"

Taehyung sighed and shook his head slowly, "We can't send him alone. Either I will go with him or he will stay here." He said, sternly. The security of his brother was one of the main priorities in his life, he couldn't bear anything happening to him in a country that was new to him.

He expected the old man to scold him for trying to go against his words but to his surprise, Uncle Hajun cackled as he rested his back on the couch and removed his square glasses, blew on it and cleaned them with a hand key.

Taehyung looked so dumbfounded at his reaction, for a moment he even thought that this was a silence before the storm but he was wrong when heard him say it.

"First off, you know that you cannot go and secondly, who told you that I'm sending him alone?"

"Thank you." Jungkook uttered, stepping out of the car, to Mr. Cha who opened the door for him. He happily skipped his way to the wide double open door with the man following him.

"Did your university team win, Koo-Koo master?" He asked, the nickname was a norm. All the workers would call him by the same nickname and Jungkook didn't mind, they all had a share in raising him along with his father, so he thought it was alright to be called like that.

He turned around and grinned like a Cheshire Cat, "Yes! And he noticed me too!"

Mr. Cha chuckled at his cuteness, they all knew that he liked the leader of the team. He saw him heading to the stairs and that's when he remembered something, "Koo-Koo master!"

Jungkook faced him and his stomach grumbled loudly, he pouted and requested, "Uncle Cha, can you please prepare some food for me? Please? Till then I will freshen up."

He nodded, "Sure, bu-"

Jungkook didn't let him speak as he giggled, "Thank you so much!" He shouted as he ran upstairs leaving the old man with his mouth hung open. If only he heard what he had to say, then his happy day wouldn't be ruined.

"...He will definitely be angry. I better block my ears right now." He mumbled to himself as he strolled to the kitchen to prepare food for his master.

Jungkook hummed to the song playing in his head as he opened the door, he saw luggage near the balcony from his small hallway. His eyebrows knitted while he walked further into the room and then his eyes fell on a body that had collapsed on his neat and clean bed. But what enraged him was the body on the bed, the man was laying on it with his shoes on.

"Kim Seokjin!" He yelled from the top of his lungs making Mr. Cha in the kitchen jump on his spot and cut his finger on the process, he hissed and already felt bad for Seokjin.

While the said guy stirred in his sleep and squinted his eyes at the brightness, he rubbed his eyes gently and sat up on his elbows looking around until he found a fuming rabbit, also known as Jeon Jungkook in front of him with his hands on his hips and his nose flaring out fire.

Kim Seok Jin, Jungkook's neighbor and childhood friend. Although he was older than him, they clicked along very well. Seokjin, also called Jin, was the youngest son of Kim Suhyeok, the chairman of K group. Jin had gone to California for his further studies in business and came back today without informing anyone.

"Surprise!" Jin screamed as he stood up on the bed and jumped excitedly with his arms wide open, Jungkook gasped at his action. His friend had broken the barrier that was blocking his rage. He hurried towards him and pulled him down, making him fall back on the bed and kick Jungkook's arm accidentally.

"Hyung!" He slapped Jin's leg twice getting a wince from him, Jin sat up on the bed looking at him in puzzlement.

"You don't look happy with my presence." He mumbled with a pout on his face as he gently stroked his leg.

Jungkook scoffed, "I would have been happier if you didn't climb up my bed with your shoes on!" He shouted pointing at his shoes and then his eyes dilated, "Wait! You came here straight away from the airport? You didn't even take a shower!"

He nodded smiling sheepishly, "You are right. But I missed my little friend so much that's why I-"

"You are so dirty!"

Jin covered his ears preventing it from bleeding, gosh how could he forget that he hated people sleeping on his bed without freshening up. He nervously chuckled and scratched his nape as he apologized, "Sorry, I forgot about it and I was so tired that I fell asleep."

Jungkook rolled his eyes and pulled him up from the bed, "Get up and take a shower now!" He ordered, pushing the laughing guy to the bathroom. He sighed, swiping his black hair back as he turned his gaze to his unclean bed, he whined and made a crying noise as he went to grab new sheets.

"Tan-ah, have some sushi. Here." Uncle Hajun said, placing some sushi and sashimi on his plate with the help of his chopsticks. Tan gave a slight bow and thanked him before he grabbed it with his chopsticks and ate it.

Uncle Hajun had made sushi, sashimi, ramen noodles and soups for them. He loved cooking so much, and the people around him loved to eat food made by him. He had gotten a title of 'Best cook of Korea' by his friends in his college days, as they all lived in dorms and he would be the one in charge of cooking.

He moaned at the delightful taste, "I love it!" Uncle Hajun flashed a wide smile at him, "You know Uncle, having food prepared by you after a long day is such a pure bliss." He praised the old man who chuckled at him and placed more sushi into his plate, asking him to have as much as he wanted.

Taehyung and Jimin looked at the duo perplexed, they were here to eat as well and moreover they loved it too, "Uncle, we are alive." Taehyung whined, showing his big round eyes.

"Oh! Only a few sashimi are left." Jimin complained looking at him and then scowled at his little cousin, "Yah, give us some. We are hungry too!"

Tan scoffed, "You wish." And ate them dramatically, mocking their rumbling stomachs.

Taehyung gritted his teeth and snatched a sashimi from his plate and put it into his mouth, "You wish." He mimicked him with his mouth full, making Jimin and Namjoon laugh. Jimin copied Taehyung, he stole a sushi as well and ate it before sticking out his tongue at the little one who cried.

Uncle hissed, "Why are you guys stealing food? There is more of it in the kitchen." He uttered and asked the servant to get the sushis and sashimis and serve the handsome thieves.

"Learn from Namjoon, he is eating without any complaints. Be like him." Uncle advised, pointing the chopstick at the guy who smiled at him, displaying his cute dimples, his black hair covering his forehead while his deep brown eyes were resting behind his square glasses. Falynn as usual refused to come as she preferred to have her dinner while watching kdramas.

Kim Namjoon, a surgeon, has been a friend of Jimin and Taehyung since college. He is the calmest creature you would ever find in Seoul. He is smart, charismatic and very friendly. One can approach him with problems and he would gladly help them solve it unless he is pretty busy. But he can always manage time for his close ones.

He chuckled as he dipped the sushi into the soy sauce, "You are flattering me, Uncle. And they are perfect the way they are, they shouldn't be like me." He said, smiling at them.

Uncle put a sashimi into his plate and earned a thank you from him, "This is for your beautiful words." He said, and from the corner of his eyes he could see the soulmates staring at him blankly whilst Tan giggled at their reaction, oh this boy enjoyed it a lot. He coughed and resumed to eat his food ignoring the draggers being thrown at him.

Namjoon sensed the chilling silence between them and quickly changed the topic or else he was sure his two friends would definitely kick him and Tan out of this mansion and blacklist them from coming near the old man, "Tan-ah, how was the match?" He questioned, sipping his water.

"Amazing!" Tan squealed, placing down his chopsticks, to be frank he loved talking about his day. He would tell you each and every detail without missing a word, but the thing is his brothers often avoided asking that to him.

"I felt so happy to see our fans, to hear the cheering words and those t-shirts with our names and the cute banners too!" He said, smiling broadly and added, "oh and the trophy! Woah! It's so big and breathtaking! Wait, I will show you the pic."

He fished out his phone and opened the gallery, and handed it to Namjoon, who gasped and congratulated him upon seeing the trophy and his teammates surrounding it.

He began laughing as he remembered Jungkook, "And one of my fans, he is one crazy guy. He literally said that he would-"

Jimin hissed and cut him off, "Tan, are you a sofa?" He asked, catching him totally off guard. He didn't like the way Tan called him crazy, come on, how can an angel be crazy? Right? Right.

He shook his head, "Why?"

"Because you're sofaking annoying! Enough about your fans, now eat. You can talk to him about it via call later." Jimin scolded to which Tan pouted and went back to eating, Taehyung smirked and nudged Jimin's arm only to earn a death glare from him and he quickly surrendered himself and continued to eat.

Namjoon gulped down his food and leaned closer to Taehyung as he said, "Do you know why he shuts up when Jimin asks him to but doesn't when you ask him to?"

Taehyung arched an eyebrow at Tan who winked at Namjoon, "Why?" He asked, looking back at his friend.

"Because he loves Jimin more than he loves you." He sneered, making the rest of them laugh along as they found Taehyung's I'm-so-done-with-you-all face funny.

His hilarious laughter echoed in the mansion as he walked downstairs with Jungkook, who was telling him about his day, in particular how he motivated his crush, Kim Tan.

It was dinner time and Mr. Jeon, Mr. Kim and Jin's brother will be here in a few minutes. Jin had informed his brother and was given a good scolding for hiding his arrival from him but nonetheless they were all eager to see him.

"I can't believe you said you would serve him for the rest of your life, are you crazy?" He couldn't control his laughter as he plopped down on the sofa and grabbed his coffee cup that he ordered from Starbucks, from the mini table.

Jungkook sat beside him and nodded, "What's wrong with that? At least he smiled at me." He said, dreamily as he reached out to grab his coffee cup as well but he was too busy in his reverie that he couldn't get a hold of it.

He was dreaming of waiting for the day when Tan would ask him out on a date and they could get into a relationship and then they could get married and-

Jin, upon seeing him struggle, took the cup and placed it on his palms making him hold it, "And what happened next?" He interrupted him.

Jungkook subtly glared at him but nevertheless smiled and recalled everything that happened today. And that strange man appeared in his mind and he immediately rolled his eyes at how he was trying to get into his pants.

"There was this weird man." he murmured, squinting his eyes as he tried to remember his name while slurping his drink.

"Weird in the sense?"

Jungkook looked at him and sat facing him as he explained, "He was sitting behind us and was disturbing everyone a lot and after the game, he approached me with a kerchief and was asking me if it was mine, even though I denied, he kept saying that maybe it was mine."

He scoffed and continued, "And he was trying to know my name, but I'm a beautiful butterfly after all, nobody can catch me so easily." He sassed and flipped his hair and took another sip of the coffee.

Jin chuckled and asked, "Did he tell you who he was?"

Jungkook nodded immediately and stuttered, "Park Mijin . . . No . . ." He pouted, making Jin slump his shoulders but as soon as he saw Jungkook's eyes brightening up, he sat straight with hopes.

"Park Jaemin!" He exclaimed, smiling radiantly and almost losing the grip on the cup but his smile even surpassed the chandelier's brightness.

Jin began calculating in his mind, he knew almost everyone in Seoul even after staying in California for so long. Jungkook moved closer to him, desperate to know who this strange man was after all he acted like he was the son of Bernard Arnault.

Jin snapped his fingers as he said, "Park Jaemin, he works in Starbucks."

Jungkook blinked and a heavy sigh escaped his lips before he bursted out laughing. He was a worker in Starbucks and there he was acting so rich.

He snorted, "And he had the audacity to approach me, The Jeon Jungkook. Huh." He mumbled to himself as he stared at the black screen of their television while sipping his coffee, Jin's opinion about Jaemin fell into deaf ears.

Jeon Jungkook wasn't interested in ordinary guys, he believed they didn't deserve him and his love. He was into the guys who were equal to him, who were capable of reaching the highest heights and would be able to provide him everything he wanted without any hitch.

'Park Jaemin, aren't you trying to fly high with your crooked wings? But no worries, you can never reach my palace.'

He thought giggling and then choking on his drink, he coughed and wiped his mouth while his eyes fell on the logo printed on the cup.

His eyes dilated as he quickly got rid of it by placing it on the table, his face churning into disgust as he imagined the weird man making that coffee.

Meanwhile in Starbucks,

Jaemin sneezed and rubbed his nose, "Who is talking nice about me?" He wondered as he grabbed the tray with coffee cups and headed to serve it.
