Chapter-2

Author's pov:

Monday

The Elysian Company was filled with people bustling here and there, some typing on the computer and some enjoying their morning coffees. While there were some panicking about their unfinished task as they frustratedly pulled the strands of their hairs and then there were two best friends simping over men during their work.

"Did someone steal your favorite panda underwear?" Ms. Lee asked as she dragged her swing chair towards her colleague a.k.a best friend Ms. Byun's cubicle, sipping her coffee.

Ms. Byun glared at her as she diverted her attention from the computer to the slim figured beautiful woman smirking at her, "What the fuck, Jinae? Keep your voice low." She continued, "and no, why do you ask that?"

"You are extremely quiet and that pout on your lips doesn't seem to disappear, what's wrong Bora?" She asked with a concerned tone, placing the cup on her desk.

Bora sighed and mumbled, "I miss Mr. Park."

Jinae was glad that she wasn't drinking her coffee now, otherwise she would choke on it, "Are you serious?" Bora nodded at her and saw her friend shaking her head in disbelief.

It's been three days since Mr. Park, their boss, had gone on a business trip with his assistant. Since Bora had a soft corner for him it was pretty obvious that she missed seeing him in the company but she was also jealous that his assistant was with him.

"Bae, it's been two years since we started working here and that hot shot hasn't even recognized your existence till date and you miss him for what?" She scoffed and noticed how a frown formed on Bora's lips as she sulked on her seat.

"I have no courage to talk to him.." she mumbled, making Jinae roll her eyes intensely, their CEO was cold and ruthless or so they thought.

"I told you to choose Mr. Kim but you are head over heels for Mr. Park who cares about nothing except for his so-called business." Jinae said with a scoff.

"Mr. Kim and Mr. Park are cousins, why are they so different by nature?" Bora huffed, "Mr. Kim is so cheerful and talks to everyone so nicely and on the other hand, there is Mr. Park who is a complete opposite of him." She complained.

Jinae chuckled, "But they are the same in one thing." Her voice contained mischievousness as she swung her chair side to side, smirking at her best friend who got the idea of what she meant.

"They are so fucking hot!" Both almost screamed with a broad smile on their faces as they imagined the cousins in a lustful way.

"Why do men even exist when there is Park Jimin and Kim Taehyung who can make us spread our legs automatically for them?" Bora snorted, swirling a strand of her black hair in between her fingers as she bit her lips, her sadness long forgotten.

"Because they know that not everyone will have Me and Taehyung."

Bora and Jinae's eyes dilated at the familiar deep voice that came from behind them, their eyes met and they both cursed under their breath as they turned their neck around slowly only to find Park Jimin standing there with his hands inside the pocket of his pants, his intimidating aura was radiating as usual.

They gulped and stood up from their seat with their heads hung low in embarrassment as they were caught red handedly by the Boss himself. The other employees in the room stood up as well and bowed at him followed by a greet.

"Sorry, sir." Jinae and Bora murmured with a red apologetic face as they bowed twice at him.

"Good morning to you too, Ms. Lee and Ms. Byun." His venom filled voice made them shiver in fright.

Bora stepped forward and looked nervously at him, "Sir, we are sorry. We were ju-"

He didn't let her complete her sentence as he cut her off, "Focus on your work rather than me, Ms. Byun. It's for your own good." Bora flinched at his cold piercing tone that broke her heart, she gulped and nodded at him looking down at her heels.

Jimin didn't stare much at her as he turned to Jinae, "And you, Ms. Lee. Just because Mr. Kim is friendly, don't take him lightly or else you won't be allowed to step into this company again. Mark my words." He warned her as politely as possible and walked out of the office, leaving everyone stunned.

The employees glared at the two best friends as they were the reason why they had to start their day by looking at an angry Jimin, who just returned from his trip.

Jinae felt sorry for Bora as she saw her tearing up as soon as he left, she blamed herself for everything that happened. Even though it was nothing big, it hurt Bora.

The clinking sounds of heels perked up their ears as they immediately looked towards the door and found Jimin's secretary standing there with a small smile on her beautiful diamond shaped face, her brown hair was tied into a high ponytail making her look more beautiful than ever wearing a black and white office suit.

Ms. Falynn was the company's crush, who had broken the hearts of her seniors and juniors as professionally as possible. She was a bubbly and optimistic person with a pinch of coldness and savageness in her, which made everyone conclude that she was becoming like their boss day by day. She had this habit of handling everything perfectly which made her Jimin's favorite.

"Get back to work, everyone!" She announced looking at all of them, who nodded and bowed to her before resuming their works. Falynn hummed and hurried out to catch up with Jimin.

"I feel bad for the girls." She said, walking behind him with a safe distance.

Jimin hummed, "I was successful in not threatening them with their life." He snorted.

Falynn chuckled, "Right. That was the most polite threat I have ever heard from you."

Jimin rolled his eyes and entered into the elevator with her, "Tae should stop being too friendly with everyone here." He said, swiping back his silver gray hair. She nodded with a hum as she chose not to say anything for that as she knew he was right.

His quick footsteps echoed through the floor as he walked towards his office that was situated on the 26th floor, he slowed down as he neared his office. He had sent his secretary to get him a coffee and get his schedule on her way back.

But he halted on his steps as he watched a woman in her twenties', just a few years younger than him sporting a pastel pink shirt hugging her body but nicely tucked inside a white pencil skirt, stepping out of his office as she closed the wooden double door.

Turning her white heels towards him, she gasped, "Mr. Park?" The words came out as a stutter as she covered her mouth, her eyes widened looking at her boss standing in front of her wearing his favorite blue suit.

"Good morning, Ms. Kim." He greeted her as he took a step closer towards her.

"What are you doing here?" Was what she asked instead of greeting him back that caught him off guard, as he arched an eyebrow at her puzzled.

'Is she fucking serious?'

He thought and rolled his eyes, "In case you forgot, this is my company and I come here whenever I want." He said with a straight face, emphasizing on the words 'my' and 'I want'.

She blinked for a moment before realizing her dumb question and immediately apologized to him with two bows, "I meant, you were supposed to come tomorrow.." she trailed off, scratching her head with a nervous smile.

Kim Namra, Taehyung's assistant, was a cute and sweet girl who would always try her best to match her walking pace with Kim Taehyung, who hated being late. Her tiny mistakes would always frustrate Taehyung, but those puffy adorable pink cheeks and the pout would often melt his anger.

Jimin hummed, "We finished our work early, Ms. Kim." He continued, "What were you doing in my office?"

At that Namra tensed up, now how shall she say what she was doing inside, more like what's going on inside his office. She flashed him a nervous smile again and gulped, "Uh..nothing? Nothing." She said, convincing herself.

Jimin sensed that something was fishy, she was lying to him. And Park Jimin hates liars.

"Nothing?" He repeated her words to which she nodded quickly.

"Sir, we bought a new coffee machine for the refreshment room. How about you check it out?" She said trying to convert his attention to somewhere else, her job would be on the edge if he walked into his office.

Jimin knew what she was doing and scoffed, "I can see that later. For now get back to your work, Namra. And send Taehyung to me." He said, approaching the door.

"Sir-"

She tried to stop him but Jimin held the doorknob and craned his neck towards her, "It's an order." Namra shut her eyes in fear and strolled away.

Jimin smirked and stepped inside only to hurt his ears that were attacked by the bursting music that was being played in his office, he closed the door and covered his ears. His eyes fell on a man swinging his brown blazer in his hand, his clothed ass wiggling in his direction.

'What is happening here?'

He internally shouted as Taehyung threw his blazer behind, which landed on Jimin's face and he started twerking at the boombastic music.

Jimin blinked, with a scowl he held the Blazer and threw it back at Taehyung, who flinched at the sudden attack and looked up only to find his cousin standing by the door looking furious.

Taehyung screamed as he fell back on the floor, "Jimin?" the older one rolled his eyes at his dramatic self.

"Yeah me. This is our company, so I can come here whenever I want. And, we wind up our work early so here I am." Jimin answered all of his questions in advance and crossed his arms over his chest.

It took the younger man a moment to process everything before he stood up and straightened his clothes, slowly walking towards him and taking him into his embrace, "Welcome back, Jimin." He mumbled.

Jimin patted his back, "Why were you dancing here?" He asked with an irritated tone as he pulled away.

Taehyung smiled sheepishly at him, "Your office looks so sad when you aren't there, so I just come here to cheer it up the day before you come back." He answered wearing his blazer, as they walked towards his table.

"So this happens everytime I go outside?" Jimin inquired as he dragged his chair back and plopped down on it, sighing in content as his ass finally got the chance to sit in one of its favorite places.

Taehyung just chuckled and asked, "How's the trip?"

"Amazing! I'm so satisfied!" He exclaimed as he spun around with a wide smile lingering on his lips.

Taehyung scoffed, "Yeah, yeah." He resumed, "I miss coming with you." He rolled his eyes and sat on the opposite chair.

"Falynn is so good at her job." Jimin praised sighing, laying his head back on the headrest of the chair. He closed his eyes knowing very well that he was successful in making his cousin drown in the ocean of jealousy.

Taehyung slammed his fist on the table, "Am I too bad that I don't get to accompany you?" The muscle in his jaw tightened with every word he spoke.

"Maybe you are." A soft voice approaching them caused Jimin to open his eyes, there was his secretary wearing a smirk on her face as she carefully placed his cup of coffee on his table and handed him an iPad which had his schedule on it.

"Thanks, Falynn." Jimin winked at her and scrolled through his schedule letting the two start their own drama.

"Come on, Falynn. Why don't you ever get sick so that I can go with him instead of you?" He whined, she laughed and sat on the next chair.

"I don't know why I barely get sick." She sighed, "And you know very well that I don't lie, so I can never back off without a valid reason just for your sake."

Taehyung rolled his eyes and looked away, he was kind of mad that he barely got the chance to go along with his cousin for a business trip. It was always his assistant and not him, he wanted to travel and execute his skills too.

He and Falynn had a Tom and Jerry relationship, they would often bicker but at the end of the day they would always have each other's back.

Jimin shook his head with a silly smile decorating his lips as he looked at the younger, "I will try my best to take you with me next time." He smiled reassuringly as he picked up his cup and took a small sip of his coffee.

Taehyung's eyes lit up but those sparkles faded away as Falynn said, "You said, next time you wanna go alone."

He looked at Jimin with furrowed eyebrows but Jimin quickly said, "yeah, but it depends on the work."

The two hummed, "And obviously, he cannot go without one of us." Taehyung said, smirking proudly.

"I second that." Falynn chuckled as they gave each other a high five.

Jimin glared at them and retorted, "I can handle the work all alone, I don't need you guys. Besides, I'm Park Jimin: Strong, reckless, handsome and many more." He said, flipping his hair with a grin.

Falynn and Taehyung looked at each other and scoffed, "Yeah, but Park Jimin is weak when it comes to love." The two said, guffawing.

The CEO rolled his eyes and turned on his computer, "Love won't take you anywhere, but success will. So, shut your dumb mouths." He said, nonchalantly.

Taehyung stood up from his seat, he went and stood behind him, placing his right hand on Jimin's shoulder he uttered, "Jimin-ah, love is important. You won't know it now but when you find that right person for you, you won't let them go. You will worship him, and mark my words." A snort was heard from Jimin.

Taehyung was an understanding person, he knew how to comfort or enlighten someone to help them. Due to his friendly nature, everyone loved it whenever he was around. But keeping aside his angelic natures, his coldness never failed to make someone tremble out of fear.

"He is right. Just wait till you fall in love, you will know its value." Falynn smiled at him, who just stared at her as if she was talking in a foreign language.

"You both are unbelievable." He sighed and resumed his work, but that didn't stop them as they continued annoying him.

"Falynn, I'm sure his love story will have a tag of 'Love at first sight'." Taehyung chuckled, making Jimin grimace.

"I can't wait!" Falynn clapped in excitement, "Imagine Jimin bringing him flowers every time they meet, falling for his smile everyday, cooking for him, going shopping together and...and..so much more, oh god!" She squealed like a high school teenager daydreaming about her future.

"Stop it, Falynn!" Jimin shouted and massaged his temples as he leaned back on his chair.

She rolled her eyes, "Just wait and watch Jimin, you will be head over heels for your guy." She said and stomped out of the office leaving no room for the CEO to argue.

Jimin blinked with his mouth partly open, he then averted his blue gaze towards Taehyung and muttered, "What is wrong with her? Nothing like that is gonna happen. Tell her to not dream about things like that." He huffed and ruffled his own hair.

He was least bothered about her being mad, he knew her very well. No matter how much she was angry at him, she would always get back to him with that same pretty smile and tone of hers.

Taehyung snorted, "I'm on her side in this matter and you know it well." He said and walked towards the door but before he opened it, "Mark her words, chim." He giggled and finally left.

Jimin on his seat just stared at the closed door as if it was a masterpiece, "Did they lose their mind?" He murmured to himself and went back to complete his work, he shouldn't waste his time on nonsense topics he thought as the two would often pester him about it.

He scrolled through the documents in front of him, muttering to himself, "Me and love? Huh. In their dreams." He hit the enter key with a sigh.

Park Jimin was the epitome of a workaholic boss, with no interest in anything beyond his business. Love wasn’t something that ever crossed his mind. For him, work was everything. From a young age, he was immersed in the world of Elysian, quickly rising to lead the company to unprecedented success, earning admiration and respect in the industry.

Elysian’s brand had become a symbol of sophistication, innovation, and luxury, with its top-tier designs making waves globally. The company was now synonymous with high fashion, with every collection being anticipated eagerly by both critics and fans alike.

Despite Taehyung’s repeated attempts to encourage him to date, Jimin always dismissed the idea. To him, love was just a distraction. "It pulls you away from your goals," he would always say, focusing solely on building Elysian’s empire.

He sipped his coffee again, "Love at first sight. Bringing flowers, cooking, shopping.." Jimin mimicked them with an eye roll.
