Chapter-1

Author's pov:

Monday

The bright rays of sunlight embraced the magnificent white and dark gray modern mansion that was situated on the large green land with a fountain in the middle, surrounding the bushes and shrubs that were neatly trimmed.

A man wearing a white shirt nicely tucked in black slacks and paired with black shoes walked into the manor holding plastic bags that had groceries in it, he headed towards the light gray kitchen that was filled with the aroma of bacon being fried in a pan. The male servant placed the bags on the counter and gave a smile at his wife, who thanked him.

She placed the bacon and scrambled eggs on a plate and poured an orange juice into a glass, keeping them on a tray. The maid walked through the connected door of the kitchen beside the exit that led to the dining area.

A man in his 50's sporting an all gray suit sat on one of the black modern chairs as his dark brown orbs focused on the newspaper he held as he waited to be catered by the maid.

"Here is your breakfast, Mr. Jeon." The said man looked at the food placed in front of him and smiled at her as he kept the newspaper away. He grabbed the fork and knife and began savoring the meal, moaning at the delicious taste as usual which brought a wide smile on her face and she bowed at him gratefully.

"Amazing!" He exclaimed enthusiastically and sipped his juice, "Where is Jungkook? Is he not awake yet, Mrs. Cha?" He quizzed her.

"He is awake sir, he should arrive in a few minutes." She answered. Mrs. Cha had been working under him for so long now along with three other servants and her husband, among them she and her husband were the oldest and the most trusted workers of his.

Just then the footsteps scurrying into the kitchen perked up their ears, Jeon Jungkook entered the room and approached them holding his black bag as he wore a blue hoodie paired with black ripped jeans and black boots. He flashed his signature smile to the maid who had been helping her master in raising him as he only had his father by him.

Mrs. Cha smiled at him and hurried back to the kitchen to get his breakfast while Jungkook hugged his Dad's chest and left a peck on his temples and sat down adjacent to him, "Good morning, Dad!"

"Good morning, son. Did you have a nice sleep?" Mr. Jeon questioned.

Jungkook nodded, "I always have a nice sleep that's why I don't have dark circles unlike you. You slept past your bedtime yesterday, right?" He guessed, narrowing his eyes at his father.

He chuckled and swallowed down the food, "What do you expect from me, kook? I'm a businessman, and there is no way I can sleep peacefully without finishing some paper works."

Jungkook rolled his eyes, "That can be done early in the morning too." He pouted and earned a chuckle from his father who shook his head at him finding the boy adorable.

"I know, I know. I will surely do it from today." Mr. Jeon promised him through a fist bump bringing a broad smile on his son's face.

Mrs. Cha came back with Jungkook's breakfast and placed it in front of him, who thanked him and dug in.

"How about we go out tomorrow, dad?" Jungkook suggested as he chewed the bacon, Mr. Jeon looked at him questioningly as Jungkook only hung out with him on the weekends due to his university and mostly because he would be busy with his works that he would have no time for Jungkook.

"Don't you have class tomorrow?" He asked, pointing the fork at him.

"Nah, the day after tomorrow there is a football match so it's a holiday." He answered, making him retreat his hand and continue eating.

"So, it's a prep holiday." Jungkook nodded at him, "Sure then, let's have a good day tomorrow!" Mr. Jeon exclaimed.

The dining area filled with his son's cute giggles as they talked about how excited Jungkook was to attend the match. He really enjoyed watching the students compete against each other--well, looking sexy with their drenched jerseys hugging their bodies and sweaty hair stuck on their foreheads as they ran around blowing flying kisses to the audience after scoring, more like. That's why, Jungkook never missed a match.

"By the way, kook. How did your blind date go, yesterday?" Mr. Jeon suddenly asked and a loud groan escaped Jungkook's lips as he massaged his temples with his left fore fingers.

"It's the same bullshit, dad. He was talking about how I was lucky to be Mr. Jeon Ilwon's son and how he has always admired you ever since his dad introduced him to you and shit." Jungkook began and earned a laugh from his dad.

"So, the whole date was basically about him being a fanboy of mine and not asking anything about you?" Mr. Jeon sneered and saw him rolling his eyes as he hummed.

"Adding to that, I didn't like the vibes I was getting from him. The way he was talking about his business, he seemed too pessimistic to me." Jungkook reasoned as he sipped his banana milk.

Mr. Jeon sighed and looked down at his half empty plate, he felt disappointed in himself that he couldn't find a better man for his son all this time. But he was not going to give up, not at all. He will find someone who will treat and love his son the way he deserves.

"Don't worry about anything, your dad will find you a better one this time; better than all those you have met." Mr. Jeon promised with a broad smile, how can Jungkook not believe that smile? That smile was a sign that his father will look for a man like Kang Tae moo--well, good at everything.

Jungkook chuckled, "Okay, dad! Good luck." He thanked him and stood up grabbing his bag along, "I will go now, see you in the evening." Kissing his head, Jungkook sprinted out of the manor.

He slung his backpack on his shoulder and hopped towards the Bentley car waiting for him, he climbed in and placed his bag on his lap and greeted his chauffeur, who reciprocated.

The chauffeur turned the car on and drove off of the manor, the car ran on the dark gray road in a steady pace with Katy Perry's Harley's in Hawaii playing in the background. Jungkook hummed along to the song as he looked out the window admiring the greenery that was on either side of the road.

He sighed as he suddenly remembered what the man he had met on the blind date yesterday said about him being in love with nature.

"You love nature? Kind of ridiculous, sorry. I mean, it's very dark at times and it scares the hell out of me. I feel like I'm in a Conjuring movie." He laughed, shaking his head but Jungkook didn't find it funny as he just invisibly glared at him.

It was often like this, yesterday's blind date was the 68th date he had gone to and none of them were his type. Some didn't appreciate his hobbies like painting, dancing, singing, visiting green places or there were some who didn't like the way he looked with piercings and baggy or black outfits.

Or it was Jungkook who didn't like them, some only talked about themselves, being overly confident about themselves and their business. Some men only talked about how he was Mr. Jeon Ilwon's son, the rich spoiled brat and stuff.

But he agreed that he was rich and bratty but he wasn't spoiled.

There was this person he kinda found good for him, he had good looks, body, wealth, hobbies but the only thing that made him ditch that man was his habit of staring at him with luscious eyes. His creepy eyes were always on Jungkook's exposed chest or on his thick ass whenever they walked, he would be behind and Jungkook swore on his banana milk he could feel his eyes on his precious peach.

He was never into blind dates. In fact, he was the kind of guy who used to get into a new relationship once every month. He then realized it was of no use after getting into the university, he wanted a real relationship; he didn't want to be immature anymore.

Whenever he would go out and find couples being lovely and possessive together, he wished to have a relationship like them. Holding hands while walking by the seashore, kissing while the sun sets or sitting on the sand and talking for hours under the moonlight, Jungkook dreamed of having this kind of relationship.

His dad had tried his best looking for the best of best guys for him but none worked out making him sigh in dismay.

'Will I be single forever?'

The lecturer's words and efforts dissolved into the pond that Jungkook was drawing in the last page of his notes. He yawned a little, as he was not at all interested in her speech. It was an auditorium style classroom with semi circle rows, the seating arrangement was done according to the first letter of student's surnames, the lecturer stood in the front as she asked a student to answer her question.

Jungkook yawned again, the student who was trying to answer her was standing right in front of him blocking his view for the lecturer, he was glad he could yawn fearlessly. He rested his head on his folded arms on the bench and looked to his right, his eyes directly landed on his Best friend--Jung Hoseok.

Jung Hoseok was the epitome of perfectness unlike his other classmates who were a bunch of idiots. Jungkook wasn't close with any of his other classmates. All his high school friends had shifted and had lost contact with him, he felt a bit lonely but he was glad that he found Hoseok in his freshman year.

Some of his classmates even tried to get close with him but he pushed himself away because he felt that they weren't trustworthy, but whenever he looked at Hoseok he felt that the guy was different. That maybe he could trust him, he wanted to approach him so badly but his shyness would always stop him.

Hoseok was friendly with his classmates, but with others he would act nonchalantly. His intimidating aura would prevent everyone else other than his classmates from talking to him. Hoseok had spoken to him sometimes but it wasn't much just topics related to studies, or he would just ask if everything was going fine whenever he would be silent in class. A very sweet guy to be honest.

But thanks to that one baseball match day, Hoseok approached him and the two got close after that day.

Hoseok noticed Jungkook staring at him, he flashed him his smile and averted his gaze back to the lecturer when Jungkook giggled and sat up straight, surprising his two benchmates who observed him weirdly.

'Why is he giggling out of nowhere?' They thought.

"Are you okay?" Hoseok asked as they walked through the corridor with empty bottles in their hand, it was recess time and the duo came out to refill their bottles.

Jungkook sucked his strawberry flavored lollipop and hummed, "Why do you ask?"

"I caught you staring at me, I felt like you wanted to say something but due to our distant seats you couldn't." Hoseok uttered with a shrug.

Jungkook removed the lollipop from his mouth and sighed, "I was just grateful to have you as my friend." He giggled with Hoseok, who patted his hair.

"How did the blind date go yesterday?"

Jungkook groaned and licked his lollipop, "It was so bad, I swear." He said, ruffling his own hair.

Hoseok's eyebrows creased, he was disappointed but not surprised. There didn't go a day where the younger hadn't said how bad his dates were, but he was eager to know what made him conclude the recent date as bad. "What happened this time? Does he not like kids?" He quizzed, as they walked past the canteen. The water cooler was just a few feet away from them.

He whined, "No hyung, he was judging my liking towards nature. He says he doesn't like it." Hoseok looked at him with wide eyes for a while and then made an o with his mouth.

"Well, everybody has their own opinions on things kookie." Hoseok assured him with a small smile but that was not the only thing why Jungkook had rejected him.

"I'm not that stupid to reject a good looking guy just for judging my liking." Hoseok was about to say something but Jungkook understood what he wanted to ask so he continued, "the whole date went by with him fan boying over Jeon Ilwon, who just happens to be my dad!" He cried, aggressively sucking on his lollipop which made Hoseok roll his eyes intensely.

He slapped Jungkook's arm and received a 'what the hell' look from him, "Stop taking out your anger on lollipops." He scolded with a scowl on his face.

Jungkook pouted and muttered an apology, Hoseok sighed as he eyed the younger. He felt bad for his best friend, the boy felt lonely and needed a love which wasn't platonic. He wanted someone who is not his friend or family to make him happy and give him a shoulder to cry on.

"Let's go out later?" He suggested to cheer him up, Jungkook looked up at him with his baby doe eyes.

"But you're going out with Yoongi hyung today." He mumbled, now crushing the lollipop between his teeth and gulping it down.

Hoseok shook his head as they stood in front of the water cooler and said, "He has got work today so we postponed our date to tomorrow."

Jungkook hummed and agreed to have fun with him after university. The two were giggling and chattering about how lucky Hoseok was to have a handsome and savage boyfriend like Yoongi, who would take a bullet and kill everyone if Hoseok asked him to.

Their chortles disappeared as soon as they heard a sweet yet annoying voice of Oh Jihyuk, "Hey, pretty boy." He called with a smirk plastered on his lips.

Hoseok rolled his eyes and looked at Jungkook, who shut his eyes and took a breath before pasting a fake smile on his lips and turning around to face his annoying fanboy.

"Oh Ji Hyuk! How many times do I have to tell you to stay away from me?" Jungkook questioned throwing the white stick of the lollipop out of the window and folding his arms over his chest. Jihyuk had been crushing on him since sophomore year, no matter how many times Jungkook flicked him off, the boy always came back to him.

He knew about Jungkook going on blind dates, almost the whole university knew about it but they didn't bother much about it neither did Jihyuk. He even asked Jungkook to go on a date with him and even assured him that he would keep him happy but unfortunately for Jungkook, his fanboy wasn't his type.

"Oh come on! You know that I can't stay away from you." Ji hyuk winked at him as he attempted to take a step forward towards him but a hand in between them stopped him, he looked up to find Hoseok arching an eyebrow at him.

He rolled his eyes and averted his gaze back to his Jungkook, "You aren't eating a lollipop today, why? Forgot to bring it?" He chuckled and didn't even let Jungkook answer him as he blurted out, "You know, you can suck my lollipop instead. I won't mind." He grinned widely and Jungkook gagged on his words.

He felt so disgusted that he wanted to throw up on his face. Hoseok's blank eyes turned into a glare, how badly he wanted to grab his dick and twist it until Ji hyuk passed out dead.

A scoff emitted out of Jungkook's mouth as he sneered, "I would rather suck a stinky toe of someone than suck your little dick down there, you bloody scoundrel." Jungkook's voice was filled with nothing but venom, his words angered Ji hyuk.

He stepped closer to him and whispered, "Just because I love you, it doesn't mean that you can insult me however you want."

"Did he say something wrong about you?" Hoseok interrupted with a teasing tone and a raised eyebrow.

Ji Hyuk sighed as he looked at him and advised, "You should stop meddling in our matters."

Hoseok chuckled airily and stood in between them--hovering over him as he uttered with a deep voice, "And you should stop bothering my best friend because he clearly told you that he is not interested in you."

Jungkook stood back with a proud smirk playing on his lips.

"And what if I don't stay away from him?"
Ji hyuk taunted him with a grin.

Hoseok hummed with a nod and smiled at him, "Say that again, please." He requested and earned a nod from him.

"And what if i--"

"You won't be able to see anything from tomorrow onwards as I will gouge out your eyes, the only thing you will face is darkness. Darkness, everywhere." Hoseok warned him with a glare and malicious smile decorating his lips, Ji hyuk shivered at his menacing tone but he covered it up by stepping back and laughing as normally as possible but it came out quivery.

"Huh! I'm not s-scared of you, g-got it?" He stuttered gulping, "You are l-lucky that it's about time the classes start, or else I would have punched--" he shrieked and sprinted away as Hoseok pretended to punch him.

The two best friends watched his body disappear and they broke into fits of laughter.

"Oh god. No matter how tough he acts in front of us, he is really afraid of you." Jungkook said, letting out a hearty laugh.

Hoseok agreed with him and grabbed their filled bottles from the top of the water cooler, "Shall we go back to class?" He asked.

Jungkook nodded, "Yeah. And hyung! Can we watch a movie later and then have some ice cream?" He pleaded, showing off his puppy eyes.

Hoseok ruffled his smooth black hair, "Anything you want."
