"SO, THEY'RE ESSENTIALLY TRAPPED?" Chris questioned once they found Scott and the others. Scott led them into a room so that they could talk, and it would make it a little bit harder for people like Deucalion and company to listen in on them.

Derek and Ms. Blake were stuck in the elevator that stopped once the power stopped working, and they needed a plan to get them out. "Yeah. Right. There's no way of getting them out without turning the power back on."

"But wait, wait, wait, wait, wait," Melissa yelled, sopping the group from doing anything too crazy yet. She then referred to the other werewolves that were not on their side when she asked, "If the power's back on, they're gonna hear the elevator moving, right?"

"And they'll be on Jennifer and Derek as soon as it stops. We can't get in a fight with them," Scott emphasized because the last time they tried to fight the Alphas, it did not end so well for anybody except the bad guys.

Argent added, gesturing to himself and his daughter, "You've got us now." They were both armed and very ready to fight whenever they needed to.

"It's too much to risk!" the McCall boy exclaimed, stressing the importance of the situation to the man who did not seem to understand it just yet. "They want her dead, and if she dies, there's nothing we can do for Stiles' dad or Cora."

"I don't even think I know which teacher this is," Chris told them with a frown, and April realized that he had never actually seen Ms. Blake. Well, except for when he came to check on Allison after the bird incident, but he was hardly paying attention to the teacher.

"She's β€” she's the one with the brown hair? She's kind of hot?" the curly-haired boy piped in, causing every single head to turn toward him with a look, asking if he was serious. "No, it's justΒ β€” just an observation."

The Sharpe girl shrugged lightly as if contemplating his observation. "I mean, he's not wrong." All of their annoyed gazes shifted to her, so she just backed up a little bit and stayed quiet.

"I've got an idea," Allison told them as she looked at her reflection in a mirror that was against the wall across from her. She explained the plan to everybody and what their part in the plan was.

After she was done, April and Isaac climbed into the car because their job was to get Cora out of the ambulance that no one could drive to the hospital because the EMT was dead. The boy dialed Allison's number on his phone that was set up so that he could talk to her while he was driving. She asked through the phone, "You guys ready?"

"Yep," the blonde girl answered for them as the boy next to her, in the driver's seat, started the car so that they were ready to go whenever they needed to.

The Argent girl furrowed her eyebrows as she watched Isaac carefully as they sat in wait. "You're not nervous, are you?"

"Do I look nervous?" he questioned, trying to put on the most confident face he could, but just moments earlier, he looked extremely nervous. April would be lying if she said she wasn't a little scared as well.

"No," the Argent girl assured him, shaking her head, but she did not seem so confident about her answer. "Not at all." She then placed the phone down on the ground so that she was still on it, but she could fight if she needed to without having to deal with the device.

In the background somewhere, they could hear her dad quiz, "Did he look nervous?"Β

"Terrified," his daughter answered, which made April fight the urge to laugh even though she was probably more nervous than all of them were combined. It had come to her attention recently that she could not fight, and she did not have supernatural powers. She also had no knowledge whatsoever of the supernatural world asides from the basics and the stuff they already knew.Β  So, basically, she was pretty much useless, and she could not defend herself.

"Yeah, I can still hear you," Isaac informed the Argents uncomfortably. "Very, very clearly."

Allison leaned in so that her face was in the frame and the other two could see her as she reminded them of their part. "Just go as soon as you see them, okay?"

"Got it," the Sharpe girl replied, shooting her a thumbs up.

Once they saw the signal from the Argents that the Alphas were there, Isaac slammed on the gas and drove to where the ambulance was parked on the side of the hospital. They jumped out of the car to help as Peter carried Cora in his arms toward the car. The curly-haired boy rushed them. "All right, come on, come on, come on!"

"I got her," Peter told them when Stiles was not being very helpful in carrying the girl. He was just kind of holding her legs. The Hale man gestured to the car door. "Okay, get the door."

Isaac opened the door for them, and they were just about the climb back into the car when they saw Stiles staring at something on the door of the ambulance like he was lost in a trance. The girl ordered, "Stiles, we gotta go!"

"Stiles! Let's go!" the Lahey boy yelled too. Finally the Stilinski boy moved but not in the right way. He sprinted in the opposite direction and back inside the hospital.Β

April, not even hesitating because she knew that it was something important, sprinted after him, ignoring the calls of the blue-eyed boy from behind her. The two humans ran down a hallway of the building just in time to see Scott turn a corner. "Scott! Scott, wait!"

The paused for a second when they saw Derek lying unconscious on the floor of the elevator, and Jennifer was nowhere to be seen. It was then that they realized exactly where their friend was going. His mom's job in the plan was to turn the power back on on the roof. So, they rushed up to the roof and made it there just in time to see Scott walking toward Deucalion.

"Scott!" the blonde girl cried desperately when she realized what was happening, glancing between her best friend and the Alpha that was manipulating him. "Scott, don't do this. Don't go with him."

"I don't know what else to do," the McCall boy told them wearily as he looked out over the city with an apologetic look, and blood trickled down his face. He did not seem to notice or care, though.

Stiles shook his head with a shaky voice. "No, there's gΒ β€” Scott, there's gotta be something else, okay? We always β€” we always have a plan B."

"Not this time," the other boy said defeatedly once he finally turned around to look his best friends in the eyes. His were filled tears, and it was clear that he thought that there was no other choice.

April's gaze softened as she watched him. She could not let her best friend go with the man that had tried to kill them all more than once. Who knew if she ever going to see him again. "Scott..."

"I'm gonna find your dad. I promise," the McCall boy informed the Stilinski boy, and then he looked away and began walking with Deucalion as his best friends watched him go.

"Scott!"

APRIL COULD NOT GET OUR OF THERE FAST ENOUGH.

Scott's keys were on the ground next to his motorcycle, and she decided stupidly that that was her best option to get home. Stiles was staying at the hospital to hold up the cops while the others took Cora to Derek's apartment.Β

She took a deep breath as she climbed onto the bike. She grabbed Scott's helmet that Melissa always made him keep there, thinking that he wore it even though he usually did not. She started the engine just like she remembered because Ashley had taught her how to ride a little kid motorcycle when she was younger. It was nothing like this, but her knowledge would have to do.

As soon as she was at her house, she let the bike fall into the grass as she sprinted up the driveway. She froze when she saw one of the things that she was dreading.

The door was open.

She ran a hand through her hair, contemplating whether she wanted to go inside or not. She was so scared of what she was going to see inside. Maybe Ashley was there, sitting on the couch like normal and she just forgot to close the door. That seemed very unlikely though.

She inhaled deeply before putting her hand on the middle of door and pushing it open slowly. Her eyes were squeezed shut she stepped inside, her hair and clothes dripping water all over the floor, but she did not care. Her heart was beating so fast that she thought she might actually have a heart attack. She slowly opened her eyes once she built up the courage.

The entire place was in shambles. There were broken glasses and dishes all over the floor, and the couch was completely knocked over. The TV had a huge crack down the middle, and the shelf had books spilling off of it. Almost every single cabinet in the kitchen was open, and they were almost all empty.

"Ashley?" the blonde girl called as she stepped further inside the house, the glass crunching under her feet. A part of her knew what was happening, but she still was not accepting it. "Ashley? Are you home? What happened?"

She whipped out her phone and dialed her aunt's number for what felt like the hundredth time that night. She held the cell to her ear, and she began to break down more and more every time that it rang. She was practically sobbing as she muttered, "Come on, come on, come on. Ashley, please pick up. Please. Come on! Damn it!"

She paused when she heard a faint buzzing coming from something other than her phone. She leaned to the side a little bit, just enough to see a light coming from an object next to the tipped couch. It did not take a genius to figure out what it was.

Ashley's phone.Β

"No, no, no, no, no. This is not happening. This can't be happening," she whispered to herself as her hands flew to her head and she fell to her knees, not caring about the glass that was cutting them. "No, no, no, no, no!"

She was gone. The Sommers woman was the only person that the Sharpe girl had left. After this, she had absolutely nowhere to go. She needed her. She needed her more than anything. This could not be happening. There was no way that her luck was that awful. She needed someone. She could not be alone.

"Please, no."
