serenity basset was born on june 20th, the first day of summer. it was a bright day when her mother gave birth to their first daughter. her parents gave her a positive name: serenity. after her, her brothers and sisters had been born. she grew up in a peaceful and lovely household. she and her family always cared and loved for each other. everyone is very close and always together. her parents weren't the richest, they are a middle class family, but they could manage to feed all their children. they always spend money on important things.
serenity had a lot of responsibility and pressure on her shoulders as the oldest daughter. she needed to marry a rich man for the sake of her family. she wanted to give her brothers and sisters the best opportunities ever, to follow their dreams without worrying of money. so a couple of years ago she met andrew van ember, the duke of van ember, living in the north of france, surrounded by greens and flowers. it wasn't love, not at all, it was just a little friendship. after a couple of meetings at the balls of the society, he asked her to marry her. she said yes, he was nice, a bit strict and aloof, but nice. she was a really young girl than, only sixteen years old, but she thought that she would never met a nice and rich man again. after a couple of months, she moved in his house after their marriage. it was so far away from her family house that she only heard of them from letters. she sent every family member one on a different day every week. andrew and serenity were friends, he cared for her as a friend, but they barely saw each other. andrew spend all his time in his office and serenity was outside or in her room. she had the maids and servants as her company.
serenity never said much about her marriage to others or her family, more that is was okay and that he was nice. she mostly talked about the beautiful house, the big garden and her green and white room. she loved the house, but missed the warmth of her family, the laughter between the halls, the outing with the whole family.

the only reason why andrew married serenity was for heirs. he needed an heir for the sake form the van ember family. sadly, she never gave him a son or daughter. it changed the man, he became more and more distant and ill. his health was doing so bad that he even died from it. there was no medicine to save him. no doctor that could help him.
serenity needed a year to get to know herself again, to find herself again. the duke house changed her, but she wasn't ready to leave yet. to fill the dark halls of the house she invited her family once a week over. she missed them a lot, they are her everything. she also started to teach young girls to be a perfect lady, but give them also an opportunity to teach more than etiquette. she wants them to read, paint, study, explore, everything to make their brains work. her little school grew bigger and bigger. she loved teaching so much, that the girls came five days a week.
she is doing much better now, mostly because the halls are filled with positive vibes again. somehow she is happy that her husband isn't there anymore, so she can follow her dreams now. her own ones.

she always spends her days full in the sunlight in her own garden, to grow whatever she likes, but especially flowers or vegetables. she isn't the type of girl to let her maids do it , she loves to do it herself.

she loves to see art works and get to know the story behind a piece. some even make her cry a little, but she loves to spends hours at galleries, just watching.

she has an angelic voice and loves to sing. she adores music, especially when she can make her own with her voice, enjoying the  echo's of her voice in the ballroom at home were she sings most of the time. is she isn't singing, she is humming her favorite songs.
