หหยฐโข*โโท JOSH WAS IN HIS ROOM, laying on his bed, tossing a baseball into the air and catching it again as music played. He had been asked to join his friends for a night out but he didn't really want to go - he had spent most of the day at the batting cages and he was ready to get some rest in.
He had told them he had to watch his younger siblings since his parents had plans for a date and they let the nanny have the night off - it was a lie but it got them off his back for the night. He had been laying there for almost an hour, tossing the ball into the air, as the sounds of screaming people echoed through the house followed by the sound of his brothers cheering.
He turned his music up and pushed himself up from his bed, just as his door flew open and his little sister ran in, a wide smile on her face. "Josh!" She shouted, running towards him and he squatted down so they were closer to the same height. "Rita and I are making cookies, you wanna help?"
"Of course I do." He smiled, scooping her up into his arms as he stood up. "What kind of cookies are we making?" He asked as he carried her out of his room.
"Um . . . chocolate chip." She smiled, holding onto his shoulders as he walked down the stairs.
"My favorite." He grinned and her smile widened. As they ascended the stairs the screams and the sound of a chain saw grew louder - Greg and Keithie had taken over the living room with their internally too violent game. "Are you two deaf?" He asked, thumping Greg's ear as he walked by him.
"Hey!"
"Turn it down." He told them before he continued into the kitchen, the volume went down a few numbers but it was still entirely too loud. But he knew it was pointless to argue with them - he'd given up that battle a long time ago. "Hey, Rita." He greeted the nanny as he walked into the kitchen, sitting Becky on the counter. Rita gave a simple nod as she rushed around the kitchen, getting all the stuff she needed to make the cookies out. "If you're busy, I can make cookies with Becky."
"No, I got it." She shook her head before running her hands through her hair almost frantically.
"Seriously, Rita, I got the cookies." He gave her a smile.
"Okay." She mumbled. "Thank you." She gave a smile as she made her way out of the kitchen and Josh smiled as he looked at his little sister.
"Let's get baking."
"Yay!"

หหยฐโข*โโท JOSH ROLLED OUT OF BED, slapping his hand down on the button to turn his alarm off. It was 6:30 a.m. and he didn't want to bother the rest of his family, with it being summer he was the only one up so early. He let out a yawn and scratched the back of his neck as he made his way over to his dresser, he pulled out a pair of shorts before pulling them up his legs, he then pulled a tank top over his head and a pair of socks onto his feet before he grabbed the Nikes that sat on top of his shoe rack.
She shook his head a little as if to wake himself up a bit more as he made his way down to the kitchen, it was so early that not even Rita had gotten up for the day. The boy dropped his shoes and made his way to the fridge, his honey colored eyes squinted against the bright light as he searched for food. With a small sigh he grabbed the milk, he was hungry but he didn't want to cook anything so he decided to make himself a bowl of cereal. He got down a bowl, then the coveted frosted flakes, which he dumped into the bowl before putting the box to the side to add in the milk.
After his breakfast - that consisted of two full bowls of cereal - he tied his shoes onto his feet and made his way to the door, stopping only long enough to pull his baseball cap onto his head. Then he was out the door. He ran his usual two miles and even made an appearance at the batting cages before he made his way home, where he changed into his swim trunks.
From the house he could hear the screams from his brothers' video game, but he chose to ignore it as he draped his towel over one of the chairs, then he dove in. He swam across the pool before surfacing, he wiped his eyes and pushed his hair off of his forehead. Then he started his laps, he had gotten, maybe five done when he saw the car rolling towards the pool and he stopped, his eyes going wide as he swam towards the side of the pool.
"Dad!" He shouted, lifting himself out of the water just as the car hit the patio set and stopped. "Dad!" He called again as he ran towards the car, Lenny, Rita, and the two younger boys running out of the house. Then the door opened and Becky jumped out. "Becky?"
"I didn't mean to." The little girl made her way towards them, Lenny bending down to hug her. "It was an accident."
"I don't care. Are you all right?" He asked, rubbing her back.
"Becks, what in the heck were you doing?" Josh asked and she looked up at him, pulling away from their dad.
"I was trying to use the Navy." She looked from her oldest brother to her dad.
"The Navy?" What's the Navy?" Lenny asked, his eyebrows pinched.
"The Navy in the car . . . to ask it a question."
"You mean the navigation system, idiot." Keithie told her only to have Josh reach over and smacked the back of his head. "Ow."
"Keithie, Josh, relax." Lenny told them before looking back at Becky for answers.
"A man called. He said your friend, Coach Buzzer, went to heaven. I was trying to find heaven for you on the Navy station so you could go visit him." She told him and he stood up, letting out a soft sigh.
"Yikes." He mumbled, clearly upset by the news.
"Who's your friend, dad?"
"Coach Buzzer was someone very special in Daddy's life. It's terrible." He took a breath as if to get his thoughts together. "Okay, go drink hot chocolate with these guys." He motioned to the two boys and the nanny and she made her way over to Rita, who squatted down to the girl's level. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yeah." She nodded then the four made their way towards the house, Becky's hand wrapped around Rita's.
"You gonna be okay." Josh asked, lightly squeezing his dad's shoulder.
"Oh, yeah." He nodded, looking up at his oldest. "Help me with this." He motioned to the mess and the boy nodded as they made their way towards the car to check for damage. Then they pushed it back in the driveway.

and we're back!
i'm not rewriting this book, just making a few small edits so updates might be pretty quick but i only have the first act ( first movie ) written. i'm still working on the plot of the act two, because i don't really like how i originally wrote it and i haven't figured out how i want it to go.
so, while act one may be he up quickly, act two may take me some time
