     Dear Edith,

    It's been almost a month since I last wrote to you. I'm sorry but we've been so busy moving your stuff into my flat.

    That's right! We moved in together! You don't understand how happy I am that I'm able to say that!  It feels like everything is beginning to fall into place, and to say I'm overjoyed is an understatement. Life is looking up, and I have you to thank for that.

     Unfortunately, this joyous occasion means that I have to meet your parents next week. Bloody terrified is an understatement. I'm sure they're lovely people, but I worry they'll think that I'm not good enough for their daughter. I'll just have to put on a brave face; I want them to love me more than anything, but nothing is ever that simple. I promise you that I'll be on my best behaviour, though I'm sure that as soon as I walk through their front door, I'll becoming a puddle of nerves and jumbled up sentences. At least you'll be there to hold my hand.

     Please don't let your dad shoot me.
