WALKING INTO HIS ROOM, Notti was met with his older brother dd who had been playing the game not even realizing his brother had just came in.

"dd" Notti walked over to him pulling his headset off his head making dd snap his head at Notti about to fix his lips to say something very disrespectful.

"Nah dick i-

"Bro im partnered with Luna"  he cut him off saying before looking over at dd phone to see if he was on the live or anything like normal.

Fortunately he wasn't.

"The girl you've been crushing on since school started but is too scared to say something to so you just stare at her in the halls?" He tried to be funny but only he laughed Notti rolled his eyes at him.

"Yes her" he muttered sitting on his bed, dd wasn't lying but he also wasn't telling the truth Notti wasn't scared he was nervous the girl wasn't like most other New York Girls she was different and he didn't wanna ruin his chances with this one.

"Okay so what you gone try and make ah move?" dd asked turning back around to face his game that he had paused, Notti shrugged as if he could see him.

"Ion know...ima do something tho" he scratched his braided hair thinking, the girl was quiet so that already was a challenge for Notti so he had to kill two birds and one stone with this one.

"Don't do no dumbshit is all I'm saying" dd spoke to him his hands fidgeting fast on the controller his main focus was on gta but he could also hear his brother in the back he was always there for him even tho they bickered they could never not tell eachother things.

"Dumbshit my middle name" Notti laughed finding his joke hilarous, dd snickered because his brother was a jackass.

"Ima text her...I got her number" he remembers pulling his phone out going to the contact that was saved as "Luna 🌙 " he smirked at the crescent moon.

He knew his name in her phone wasn't there yet obviously but he hoped when she did save it if she did save it what it would be.

Luna🌙 hearted a message

"Dd she double texted, personally that means she's in love with me" Notti showed him the text him and the girl just had dd looked over at his brother like he was crazy because the texted look like a normal exchange from classmates working together.

"Yea you're whipped and it's not cute" dd shook his head at him only making Notti playfully pull his hair which lead into a whole play fight.

SCROLLING ON HER COMPUTER, Luna was looking up more things about the great Gatsby because she wanted to get an A+ on this project, taking pictures of ideas she could show Notti when he came over to plan.

Thinking about it her mind shifted to the carmel skinned boy her shyness took over when he came and sat next to her which caused her to not be able to really take him in and look because her head was shoved into her journal, she sometimes hated that.

She was never able to hold conversation or break from out of that "quiet" shell and that caused her to lose many friendships; like for instance she did have a best friend she wasn't always completely lonely but that changed two years ago.

She was cut off by her best friend for absolutely no reason other than "I can't be friends with someone who doesn't talk" she was nicknamed mute that whole school year by her "best friend" but she wasn't mute at all.

But back to Notti she couldn't get her mind off of him she wondered if he was like the boys he hung around see she knew him and she saw the type of people he hung around and they weren't really "good" people but who was she to judge?

"Luna I'm going to work but it's money downstairs if you wanna go to the deli or something" Her father popped his head in her already opened door, she looked up from her laptop and at him before nodding

"Love you" she waved bye and he said it back leaving back downstairs, hearing the front door close and the alarm beep she knew he was gone.

She set her alarm for 12:30pm making that the time she was gonna go to the bodega or either the Chinese store whichever one she felt at that time

By the time her alarm went off, she was already up finding something to slip on since she had on just spandex shorts and a sports bra and she obviously couldn't walk out the house like that.

It was sunny outside but still a bit chilly so she threw on her Lulu lemon leggings and a basic brown sweatshirt she got from Hollister with brown socks and her Yeezy slides.

Her hair was straightened obviously so she just grabbed her phone earphones and house key walking down the steps, going to the kitchen to grab the money he left before leaving the house.

LUNA HAD DECIDED ON GOING TO, bodega for a chopped cheese because she wasn't starving bud she still was hungry, it was nicer than she expected so she wanted to sit at the park.

There wasn't many people at the park to her luck so she sat at a table that had an umbrella covering it sitting her chopped cheese down along with her Snapple pulling her phone out, she checked her surroundings if you knew it or not and knew better than to have both her earphones in her ear.

Also sitting her journal down she opened it pulling the pen out writing in it while listening to one of her favorite rappers leaf ward, many people would be surprised by that seeing the girl didn't look like a big fan of that type of music.

"You always writing in that journal" She heard someone say making her look up it was Notti catching her by surprise.

She didn't know how to reply to that so she just chuckled.

"Is you mute?" He asked sitting across from
Her, she looked at the boy wanting to smack him she hated when people asked that.

"I-I didn't mean it like that it's just you never really talk...you're always-nvm" He stopped himself before he could say anything else stupid.

"My fault" he apologized and she could tell he was being genuine she could read people well she knew when they were lying or when they weren't true to what they said; Notti was being true.

"It's fine...I'm not mute" She finally spoke, longest sentence she's ever said to him.

"Why you sitting here by yourself?" He asked her trying to make conversation, she just shrugged.

"It's nice outside" She told him picking at her food, she couldn't eat around others and he noticed that.

Notti had been thinking about how he was gonna get the girl to talk, he was writing little mental notes in his head or things she did or didn't like and things he's learned the past minutes he's been talking to her.

She wrapped her food up putting it back in the black plastic bag and he kind of felt bad, did he ruin her appetite.

"No...you didn't" she giggled standing up, did he say that out loud...?

"I just remembered I have to submit my geometry homework.....ms.Williams" She Said

"Let me walk you" he stood up
Also, she shook her head.

"Please...we in sugarhill and it get dangerous for girls" he told her, he wasn't lying a girl recently was just mugged walking home from dance class.

She agreed for him to walk and so that's what they did, Notti on the inside was jumping up and down butterflies were in his stomach he got to walk Luna home.

Notti was walking Luna home.

Reaching her house he walked her all the way up to the steps, she turned seeing he was still behind her.

"Thank you" she said going to unlock the door, he, nodded walking off the step hearing her door open he walked the opposite direction towards where he was going.

"Be safe Notti" she called making him stop in his tracks, he was cheesing from ear to ear but when he turned to face her he of course hid it.

"Always" he cleared his throat saying before walking again as her door shut.

There was no denying Notti was Head over hills for ms.everglow.
