012  — THE PLAN

Melissa walked into the room where Scott laid on an operating table seemingly dead. She sighed as she looked down at her son.

"I still hate this plan" She spoke to the group stood around Scott. Laura couldn't help but agree it was pretty stupid.

"I mean this is pretty significantly terrifying. He looks dead." She rambled worrying for her son.

"Give me your head." Noshiko said to Melissa who looked at Stiles.

"It's okay." He reassured her as she gave Noshiko her hand who placed it on her sons chest.

Melissa gasped her eyes tearing up as she couldn't feel a heartbeat.

"Wait for it." Noshiko told her knowing that the woman was scared.

Melissa felt a sudden heartbeat and sighed in relief "Is that enough to keep a werewolf alive?" She asked she woman.

"Enough for an Alpha."

"How much time do we have?" Melissa asks them.

"Forty-five minutes." Noshiko answers.

Melissa took a deep breath "What happens after that?"

"El muere" Laura says but no one knew what that meant.

"I bring him back the same way." Kira tells Melissa not knowing what Laura said but thinking it was something along the lines of bringing him back, but she was wrong.

Melissa tilted her head "No, I mean what happens if he stays like this longer than forty-five minutes?" She asks them.

Noshiko looks at her daughter "No ones told her?"

"What? What happens after forty-five minutes?" She presses wanting an answer not knowing she already had it.

"El muere. Death, he dies." Laura spoke again, annoyed that no one understood her when she spoke Spanish.

Laura stood in one of the hospital rooms with Stiles, Kira and Liam all of them looking at the laptops.

Stiles was on the phone to Chris.

"Try it now" Chris told him. Stiles tapped a button on one of the laptops causing them all to light up showing security footage of the hospital.

After a few minutes one of the camera went out.

"Is that suppose to look like that?" Liam asked them pointing to one of the screens, showing that the camera now had no signal.

"No. No, it's not." Stiles told him.

"Where is that?" Kira asked.

"The roof. Someone's gonna have to check it out." He said.

"I'll go" Kira offered, turning to leave before Stiles stopped her.

"Whoa, whoa." He held out a hand "This might not just be a malfunction." He explained, concerned for her safety as it could be an assassin.

Kira shrugged pulling out a sword "That's why I'm bringing this." She showed them.

"Cool" Laura said admiring the sword.

Stiles scoffed not sure how to argue with what Kira said.

"I'm coming with you" Liam called out to Kira as they ran out of the room.

"Okay. And you're both coming right back. Immediately." Stiles yelled after them before turning to Laura who looked like she wanted to follow. "No, no. You're staying with me. I need protection if one of the assassins comes in here, and you're literally wolverines daughter."

Laura glared slightly before obeying him and looking back at one of the screens. "He's dying" She spoke causing Stiles to turn to her.

"What, who's dying?" He asked.

"Papa, he's dying..." She spoke again still keeping her eyes focused on the cameras.

"You, you know?" Stiles asked in shock. He didn't think that Derek actually told her, he said he was going to wait for the right time.

"Que?" Laura asked confused at how the boy knew as none of them had seen her Father and she hadn't told anyone about it.

"Derek told you about Lydia breaking the third cipher key to the dead pool, it was your Fathers name. She predicted his death..." He paused as he saw the look on her face as it changed from confusion to sadness, to anger in seconds.

Laura glared up at him shaking her head. No, Derek didn't tell her that.

Stiles realized his fault and stammered not sure what to say "Oh, oh you didn't..." Stiles ran a hand down this face "Derek's gonna kill me" He stressed.

Laura fled the room not wanting to be around anyone as all they seem to do is lie to her and give her empty promises of finding her Father.

She open the door to the morgue where Scott still laid and sat down beside the table waiting for it all to be over.

Stiles ran in a few seconds after giving Laura an apologetic smile before dialing a number on his phone.

"Come on, come on. Answer the phone. Answer the phone, Argent, come on. Come on, Argent, answer the phone. Why are you not answering the phone?" Stiles spoke into the phone as it kept dialing, but he got his answer as the doors flew open and Chris grunted as he slammed onto the floor.

"Stiles run. Stiles get out of here, take Laura and get out!" Chris yelled.

Stiles looked down at the man before looking back at Laura. He made a move to go but stopped as someone came through the doors. Kate.

Chris slowly got up off the floor standing in front of Laura as Kate faced them.

"Get our of the way, Stiles." She demanded "I'm taking the body."

"Why? Visual confirmation?" Stiles asked thinking that she was the benefactor.

Kate smirked shaking her head slightly "Don't worry, handsome. I'm not the benefactor." She told them.

"Then what do you want with the body?" Her brother asked causing her attention to go to him. She looked behind him seeing Laura and looked at her closely.

"I wish I could tell you." She told him before looking back at Laura. "You look so much like your Daddy. I'll send your regards." Kate said smirking at Chris.

Laura extended her claws going to attack her before Chris held her back launching himself forward and pointing a gun to his sisters throat.

Kate grunted "I always forget you carry two." She grumbled annoyed that she didn't remember.

"Back off!" Chris shouted pressing the gun into her throat but Kate didn't seem bothered.

"You sure you can pull the trigger fast enough?" She teased.

"I don't want to." He admitted not wanting to harm his sister. He knew the unspeakable things she has done and knew she needed to be stopped but he didn't want her dead.

"You're not going to kill me." She tells him.

"I'm not going to let you take his body!" He yelled at her getting more aggressive.

Kate just stared at her brother waiting for him to do something before Stiles decided to speak up.

"Okay, well, obviously, you guys have a lot to talk about, so maybe...I saw some coffee, a vending machine outside." Stiles said trying to lighten the mood.

However, both adults ignored him whilst Laura gave him a look telling him it was a dumb move. "Listen to me, Kate. We have a plan." Chris tells her hoping she would back down.

Kate scoffed "And if killing Scott was part of it, you're worse than me." He told him.

"He's telling the truth." Stiles said "We're trying to get to The Benefactor." He interrupted.

Chris kept his glare on Kate "If you didn't notice, you're on that list too" He snapped. "And worth more than most."

"That's why I'm here." She told her brother.

"Then back off and let us do what we planned." Chris yelled desperately knowing that didn't have much time.

Kate looked at his watch "Take the berserkers and go. Kate, please" He begged. "We have a plan."

Before she left Chris called out to her. "Logan. Do you have him?" He asked.

Kate looked back over her shoulder her gaze set on Laura as she smirked, not saying anything as she left the room.

After Kira brought Scott back. Chris took Laura to his place knowing that Derek needed time alone to figure out what was wrong with him, Stiles also mentioned the fact that Derek failed to mention that Laura's Father was the third cipher key to unlock the dead pool.

Laura was sat in Chris's car watching other cars pass by them as she played with the buttons that control the windows.

Chris sighed as he locked them in place before turning to the girl.

"I heard about your Father. And since I'm pretty sure Kate has him I know that we can find him...It's going to be okay, you'll see your Father again." He assured her but made sure not to make any promises because he knew Banshees were never wrong with their predictions.
