QUINN FENWICK should not have had two mothers.

The odds of it happening were slim to none. Benjy Fenwick and Winifred Dearborn should not have died. She should never have been raised by her godmother, Emmeline Vance. Emmeline should never have fallen in love with Mary Macdonald. None of it should have happened. None of it was meant to happen.

But it did. Instead of telling people that she had a mother and a father, Quinn told them that she had two mothers. There was no blood bonding them together, just love.

And Quinn loved her mothers, with her whole heart. She felt bad for wanting her birth parents, for wanting more, when she was already so loved.

technically this book started in january because that's when i started writing it, but i published it in july so that's the date i'm going with.

this will follow the harry potter books, with a few scenes from the movies that aren't in the books or i just like better.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: this book will contain major character death, murder, other violent crimes, grief, language, and other mature themes. most won't be until later years.

AUTHOR'S NOTE! hello this is my first harry potter fic and i hope you all like it! i pre-wrote the first act because i know myself and i know i lose motivation sometimes or i just get busy which is why i started writing this seven months ago and am just now publishing. chapters should come out on fridays.

i put an insane amount of research into this book, more than you'd think. but i would like to preface that a lot of the "lore" of this is based off my headcanons. i know that everyone has different headcanons when it comes to harry potter, so if you have any questions, please ask i'll gladly answer.

one thing i would like to just address real quick though is mary macdonald. i know a lot of people ship her with lily but i don't. i just love the idea of her and emmeline's relationship. so i'm sorry to the marylily shippers but i am an emmary girl til the day i die. also my headcanon is that emmeline was like 3 ish years older than the marauders so it is now canon because i said so.

also winifred is quinn's mother she is caradoc dearborn's sister! more about her to come. if you don't know who caradoc is look him up? idk lol.

also this will be a slow burn. i love slow burns. and i love pining. they're probably my favorite tropes. so i'm sorry in advance. also there will be another love interest. i won't say who it is now, but stay tuned. know that the endgame is harry.

the face claims i chose are really more for me because i like to put a face to a name. you can use them if you want, or you can imagine whoever else.

a final thing, i write fanfictions purely for my enjoyment. i have ideas and i want to them to become realities. if you don't like this book, then that is fine, but don't leave any hate comments, just stop reading. i am completely open to constructive criticism, like i said i'm american so i might not know the different terms used in britain. please call me out on that. but don't leave hate just to hate.
