Wednesday was stoic as he walked through the Addams' home, however, within his mind, he was quite a mess. Cleopatra had agreed to a date with him, this was the beginning of their forever and he couldn't afford to screw it up. He had to bribe Pugsley to leave them be, convince his mother to assist with food prep and speak with his distracted father about the idea he had. Only Cleopatra Hayden could cause such chaos within his mind, though he welcomed that always, he wanted nothing but perfection for Cleopatra and their first of many dates.
Meanwhile in the Hayden home, Cleopatra was pacing back and forth within her parents' room accompanied by her mother who was humming as she painted. "Calm yourself, fiica," Elowen cooed as she placed her paintbrush down, her long hair flowed down her back with small braids that had been done by Cleopatra's younger sister, Phoebe earlier that night. "It's just... there is so much evidence of friends becoming more turning out horribly... they lose their bond and things turn awkward... and then they grow apart only to randomly run into each other one day like strangers and─" Cleopatra was cut off by Elowen gently placing her hands on her daughters shoulders.
"If there is one thing that I know about Wednesday Addams, it's that he is dedicated to you with everything that boy is," Elowen spoke softly before she led her daughter to her vanity, the mix of green and gold creating a goddess like design. "And if things were not to work out romantically between the both of you, Wednesday would not walk away nor would it be awkward because you being in his life would be enough for him," Elowen added as she removed her daughters hair tie allowing her long hair to fall over her shoulders. "But to be honest, Wednesday has been smitten with you since you were barely toddlers, fetiță and I strongly doubt that this won't become something more," Elowen informed her as she brushed through her daughters hair with a golden brush.
Cleopatra flushed at the knowledge that every look Wednesday had ever sent her was one of love and longing, her heart soared at the knowledge that every breath he took was for her, her soul sang at the knowledge that Wednesday Addams, the boy of narcissistic necromancy, had chosen her, the girl of empathic healing, as his soulmate for eternity. For years, she had only viewed him as her friend, someone who understood the struggles of magic in a mundane world; understood that though they were otherworldly beings, they were limited in their power knowing that stepping out of the laws and limits would result in death.
"Fata mea dulce, you may have never realised that your affections for Wednesday were more but we see it," Elowen cooed, pulling half of the young girls hair back into a ponytail, leaving the other half flowing in curls down her back, "And you see it now too. Let it in. Let it fill you with the warmth of love." Elowen moved to stand in front of her daughter, light touches of makeup as she continued, "For many, many generations our two families have bonded in friendship but never dared to explore the depths of more. Because we knew... in our souls that the adventure was destined for you and Wednesday. It's written in the stars, carved in the walls of the underworld and flowing through the breeze in the Garden of Eden."
The fire in Cleopatra's chest burned brightly as she changed into the dress her mother had chosen for her, the signature shade of black with small golden butterflies embroidered in the lace of the dress that stopped mid-thigh. She stood in front of her mothers full length mirror, staring at herself in utter awe of herself; she looked elegant yet modern. "Fata mea dulce, promise me that you'll trust your heart above all else," Elowen asked, her hands clasped together against her chest, a soft smile on her face as her daughter prepared for the next step of her life. "I promise, mamă," Cleopatra whispered, turning to look at her with a soft smile.

"Frate, what are you doing home?" Cleopatra asked as she walked down the stairs of her home spotting her older brother sitting in his armchair with a book in hand. "Bună, sora. I'm staying home for a few weeks as things aren't too good with Alexa at the moment," Jasper replied with a sigh, he placed his book down as Cleopatra walked over and sat on the arm of the chair. "I've noticed that things between you two haven't been good... I just thought she was letting stress of Ice Skating get to her," Cleopatra expressed as she began running her fingers through her brothers hair in order to comfort him. "That's what I thought it was at first too, soră, but she's... distant," Jasper responded with a deep frown.
Cleopatra was saddened to see her older brother troubled in his relationship with Alexa Dabria, he had met the blonde ice skater in high school and the two were accepted into the same college which led to them getting an apartment together. But the family knew that Alexa wasn't Jasper's magi-soulmate like their parents' love or like the bond between Morticia and Gomez. It was clear that this affected Jasper more than he let on, she could only hope that they either fix things or decide to go their separate ways. "So what's the plan then?" Cleopatra asked her brother, a soft smile on her face to reassure him. "Give each other some space and go from there," Jasper answered, leaving the conversation at that.

Wednesday knocked on the door of the Hayden Mansion, he stepped back and clasped his hands behind his back while standing tall. He wore a black button-up shirt with some black slacks, his leather shoes and his chain around his neck. He felt nervous for the first time in his life, it was clear that Cleopatra was the only one who'd be able to pull this side of out. When the door opened, Elijah Hayden stood there with a stoic expression on his face. Though he knew and trusted Wednesday Addams, this moment presented an opportunity to look at the seventeen year old boy not as Cleopatra's best friend since diapers but rather the boy wishing to be her boyfriend and knowing an Addams; his future wife.
"Afternoon, Mr Hayden," Wednesday greeted politely, he knew the man was sizing him as such so he'd show the respect he was taught by his parents. "Afternoon, Wednesday," Elijah replied, the stare-off between them spoke louder than any words could. Wednesday's promise of loving Cleopatra even after the stars fall to earth and Elijah's promise that should Wednesday ever hurt his daughter, the wrath he would face would be his greatest fear. With the silent promises made, Elijah shook the boys hand before stepping aside to reveal Cleopatra who had a soft smile on her face. Wednesday admired her, the way her hair flowed over her shoulders and the way her dress clung to her showing off her curves.
"You look... beautiful, Ma moitié," Wednesday cooed, the use of French made Cleopatra's knees feel weak especially knowing he had called her 'my other half'. "You look handsome, dragostea mea," Cleopatra replied, her use of Romanian sent a wave of warmth through Wednesday ─ heart soaring at her calling him 'my love'. Elijah chuckled softly to himself before walking away, leaving the two young souls who had been so focused on each other, they had been clueless to his exit. "Shall we?" Wednesday asked as he held out his arm to her. Cleopatra accepted his offer, linking their arms as she closed the door behind her.

The sun was setting as the two seventeen year olds approached the outskirts of the Addams' graveyard where a large willow tree sat on the edge of cliff, a large river below it. Cleopatra's eyes widened with awe as they slowed to a stop, the willow tree has been decorated with fairy lights that created a soft blue glow in the area. A black plaid picnic blanket lay beneath the shelter of the tree and a basket sat by filled with her favourite foods and beverages. "This is... amazing, Wes," Cleopatra cooed as she turned her head to him, his eyes already watching her and admiring the soft flush of pink in her cheeks.
The young couple settled down onto the blanket, Wednesday opened the basket to reveal some sandwiches and fruits inside along with a chocolate dip and a mix of candy choices. As they ate, they watched the sun set into the horizon before the moon began to rise ─ it was a crescent on this night but that happened to be Cleopatra's favourite moon cycle. As they finished eating, conversation began to flow naturally between as they reminisced about their childhood like when they learnt how to ride a bike together ─ it took Wednesday two tries while Cleopatra learnt on the first try. Shared laughter filled the air between the two, smiles on both faces as they enjoyed the date.
As Cleopatra grew tired, she leaned back against Wednesday who had settled against the tree. His arms wrapped around Cleopatra as she snuggled into his chest between his legs, her eyes falling closed as she listened to the steady rhythm of Wednesday's heartbeat. "Tonight has been amazing, Wes," Cleopatra whispered as to not disturb the night air. "Only the best for you, mon Colombe," Wednesday whispered back, his fingers brushing through her hair as he let this moment wash over him. It was truly the beginning of their forever. "Cleo?" Wednesday spoke after a few moments of silence. "Yes, Wes?" Cleopatra replied tilting her head to look up at him, locking gazes with his dark eyes.
"Will you let me be yours?" Wednesday asked softly. "Yes," Cleopatra answered bringing a smile to Wednesday's face, he leaned down and kissed her delicately. Cleopatra didn't hesitate to respond to his kiss, their hearts beating as one while their souls aligned and accepted the other. A wave of blue and black power shot through the world from the couple, a telling action that alerted the Hayden clan and the Addams clan that two souls were now one for eternity. The link between families was one to be celebrated, not for the sake of power but rather for the existence of a powerful devotion that each shared. Cleopatra Hayden was Wednesday Addams' girlfriend today but in a few short years, she'd be his wife.
Elsewhere, Christopher Moore sat on the roof of his home looking up at the sky with a Grimoire sitting next to him. The book was a forever reminder that magic did not carry through his veins like that of his late father. He was angered as a wave of bound power struck the world, he knew what it meant and what it would lead to. His hand moved to collect the amulet resting on the Grimoire, his hand giving a soft glow of red, his eyes shining the same colour as he siphoned the remaining power of his father. Though it wasn't much magic, it would be enough for his plan; if he couldn't have Cleopatra Hayden, kin to the star witch Amenti, then neither will Wednesday Addams.
