Our friends were surrounded by bot after bot. "You take them right! I'll take them left!" I shouted. We go in different directions. Sonic running straight at the robot that was anito crush Chris and them. Until Sonic spin dashes through the robot. Making it explode in second's. One by one he began to do it with the rest in such short time.

I flew at one of the bots. Instead of attacking it, I started to fly around them. Making them unable to move and very confused. I kept on speeding and speeding up until the robot was a spinning mess. With that, I gave it a powerful kick. As one by one it hits the other robots making it look like a giant stack of dominos. If dominos blew up after being knocked down.

We finally took them all down in less than a minute. I whip the sweat off my brow. Then noticing that everyone had gasp and was looking up. Following their gaze, I saw they were looking at Sonic who was on top of a building. I rolled by eyes at his action.

"Show off!!" I yelled out with a smile. He just look at me while sticking his tongue out and winking. My attention went back to being serious. I knew the battle wasn't over just yet. And theses people are still in the danger zone. While Sonic takes care of Eggman for a bit. It can give me enough time to get every out.

Digging in my bag and putting out a microphone. I flew up high in the air and began to speak through it. "Everyone! Evacuate the city!" I yell at them. But of course they were to curious with the action above they wouldn't care about their safety. "Hey! Unless you want to be blown up or smash into pieces. I suggest YOU QUIT BEING NOSY AND EVACUATE!" My voice shouts out louder than it was before. Finally, they had listened and started to flee. Geez, what a bunch of knuckleheads. And I actually know a Knuckle head. And he at least listens...somewhat.

Once that was taken care of. I turned back around to go help Sonic, just for another one of the robots to pound me right into the wall again. "AGAIN!!?...Ow ..." I hold my head. The wall behind had a giant imprint of me as the wall was cracked. "...Do I really have a big head?" I said weakly. But my mind came back in focus when I nearly got hot again. Bracing myself for impact. But the badnik ended up exploding instead. Sonic running to my side, and picking me up.

"Geez, you sure get hurt a lot. Your a lot tougher than you think. Not a lot of people can handle getting thrown like that. Your pretty and strong." He complimented. "Hey, you can smooth talk me later. Right now, let's deal with Eggface. I'm going to break his toys for nearly breaking me." I growl, glaring at Robotnik.

"You sure you'll be okay?" He asked me reassuringly. I pet his head gently. "Sonic, how many times have I helped your blue butt beat, Eggman? Don't worry, Blue. I learn from the best." I wink. I could have sworn I saw pink show up on his face.

"Hah! That's right you do! First things first! We need to get up on Eggmans ship! Think you can fly us there?" He asks me. "Is that even a question? Of course i-" I try to fly up in the air. Until I smelled... burning? Looking at my boots and saw how damaged they were. Probably when that robot knocked my lights out.

The boots were over heating and it started to burn up my foot once again.i had quickly powered them down and sighed. "Nevermind, my boots are busted. There is no way I'll be able to reach up there." I kicked a can on the ground out of anger.

"Don't worry! I can use my speed to try and get there! Hand on!" He yells. Making me blink my eyes owlishly. "Wait what- how- GAHHH!!" And with that he held me tight in his grasp. Running straight up the building he was previously on. Going at the speed of lightning. Before jumping right off at the top.

Aiming straight for Eggmans ship...just to barley make it half way. We both look down at the drop below us... "Ya missed." I said blankly. He smiles sheepishly at me. I started to scream out in fear. My heart dropping to the stomach. Clingy onto the blue devil for dear life.

"Ahem!...."

My eyes open to see that we were safe and sound. Sonic having a cocky smirk, while I just looked at him angrily. Our expression both change into shock ones when Eggman unleashes a different kind of badniks. Theses one looking like plans. Only difference is...THEY WERE SHOOTING LASERS!

"Lasers ...it had to be lasers."

While Sonic was holding me, and running away from the genocide robots,I was trying to fix up my boots. The system was damaged but not unrepairable.

"Any luck trying to fix them??" He asked me. Hitting a sharp left and running to a different sidewalk. "I'm trying and trying! I don't exactly have a steady hand!" I yell at him. "Sorry, can't do anything about that!" He brings us into an ally. A moment of peace for about five seconds. He looks out of the ally to see if we were still being followed.

"And! And! I finished!" I yell out of joy. Just to feel a bunch of lasers shoot at me at once. Sonic thankfully pulling my hand as it was back to running once again. Turning them back on as I was back to Sonic's speed once more. "Need a lift, Blue Blur?" This time I swoop him off his feet. Holding him bridal m. Him wrapping his arms around my neck and hugging me. "I thought you never ask, Kid Genius." He kisses my cheek. My eyes nearly turning into spirals, and cheeks heating up.

I kick off the ground with a harsh force. Leaving the robots in the dust. I was just about to reach the ship. It was practically is arms reach even. I felt a harsh blast to my left foot...my boot had gotten hit with a lazer blaster. I began to freak out but kept my cool. Sonic seemed to notice and did the opposite. "...Sonic, hang on!" I spin him around in the air. Before throwing him straight up to Eggmans ship. My rocket boots had lost power... making me fall down from very high feet in the air.

(•Sonic's POV•)

"Y/N!" I yell out in sheer panic. Once she had threw me up! I had a good grip for the most part. But I began to slip, my nails sliding down the metal making a annoyingly, screeching, ear piercing sound. I could hold myself up any longer, then I to began to fall.

Y/N was getting closer to the ground. Knowing I wouldn't make it in time by falling. I spin dash in the air and aimed straight down. Landing on both my feet on top of the building, successfully catching Kid Genius before she hit the ground. I looked down and noticed her boots we're pretty badly damaged. They were sizzling and steaming.

"Y/N? Hey, c'mon speak to me!..." I laid her down on her back. And pressed my ear on her chest. I felt relieved when I heard a heart beat. "Geez, Eggman got you good... Don't worry. I'm getting us out of this." She must have got knocked out from the hit. Once more, I lifted her up and held her... Can't lie when I say I like holding her like this for some reason.

"Finish him off!!" I hear Eggman yell from above me. Just as he did so, greed robotic orbs came down to us. They had what looked like one red eye in the middle. Which I had to learn the hard way that they to could shoot lasers. "Hang on!" I hope from building to building. Trying to escape theses clowns.

I could hear her making a small noises. She must be waking up. "S-Sonic..." She mutters out. I looked over at her face with a smile. Looking behind me, I could tell she was fixated on the robots behind us. "...Left..." She says to me. Already taken this as she's telling me where to move so we don't get hit. "Right!..." I turned right out of the way. And if that wasn't good enough, looking to our right. We noticed the X Tornado right next to our tails!...well mine at least.

Picking up my pace more as I was about to jump off the building. "You better not to drop me?" She asks me. Making me place a hand on her cheek. "...Only an idiot would drop a girl like you." I reassured her. With that, I jump off at high levels. Reaching the same air distance just like the X Tornado. Tails tossing me a Ring, and I toss Y/N to the plane, and she gracefully land lands on top of it safely. Giving me a thumbs up.

I gave her one back. Gripping onto the ring and spined up in the air at around 767 mph. Making the robots get sucked closer to me, then get destroyed by contact. Tails then caught me with the plane, now right next to Y/N.

"Are you okay?" I place a hand on her shoulder. "I'm okay, really. My feet feel like their on fire though...but we have bigger things to worry about. We need to get Eggman away from the city before more buildings get wrecked. And people get hurt." She informed me. Tails also backing her her.

"Right! Leave it to us!" Tails brings to X Tornado closet to Eggmans ship. Going near him face to face through his front glass window. I slapping my butt and stick out my tongue taunting the old man. As Y/N blows out raspberries at him also. Tails quickly flying off, a very angry Eggman following after us.

"Your such a trouble maker." Y/N says to me. Punching my arm gently. "It takes one to know one!" I ruffle her hair. Making her swat my hair away jokingly. We started to fly over seas, Eggman right behind us now. "It worked!" Egghead was really close behind us now. Sending more blaster's our way. But we managed it like pros. This was just to easy.

"Uh! Guys! I think we might want to step on it!!" Y/N yells out. Looking back to see that Egghead was using a giant blaster canon this time. Okay, I may have spoken too soon- The blast goes straight towards us. Causing a giant splash from it to rise up and cut us off from Eggmans point of view.

We still manage to get hit though. Not to badly, but still enough to the point of the X Tornado to start glitching. "The energy circuit got fried! We're in trouble!" Tails explains in a panic manner. "In a few seconds will lose power and then we're going to be sitting ducks!"

Me and Y/N look at each other in terror. "So the X Tornado can only fly at full speed for a few more seconds?" "Yeah, if we're lucky!" I think for a second. Y/N pulling my arm and whispering onto my ear. My face lit up and a grin appears on my face. "That just might work! Okay! Tails, fly full speed at the bridge!" I ask Tails. At first, they hesitate, but I convinced them.

"Don't die, or I swear I'll bring you back to life and kill you myself." Y/N threatened me. But all I did was laugh. She jumps over to the wing of the tornado, that way she was out of any danger. Tails bringing me in front of Eggman. Face to face once again. He shoots out two rings at me, me catching them with each hand. I cross my arms over my chest as I began to glow. Tails hitting it into hyper drive. Heading straight for Eggman's ship full. I take a jump in the air and began to spin dash again. Going at insane speed. Breaking clean through Eggmans ship. Breaking it instantly with no trouble. And in a matter of seconds. The ship explodes right then and there. I land safely back down onto the X Tornado.

"CURSE YOU HEDGEHOG! I'LL GET YOU! AND I WILL COME BACK FOR YOU, Y/N!"

What is with his obsession with Y/N so much...I know Eggman doesn't think THAT way but its still weird. I wish I knew why he came so obsessed with Kid Genius...but that's a mission for another time.

Tails had landed down onto a type of boat. Having my hands on my hips and watching as Eggmans ships bits fall into the ocean. Satisfied with our success. Amy ran to me, only for me to run past her and tackle Y/N down into a hug. "Next time, leave the super heroic stuff to me! I can't have one of my best partners getting hurt because of me!" I look down at her.

"Oh please! I'm am totally okay! I'm built different, thank you very much." We laugh together in each other's arms. Until Tails spoke up, "Well, we stopped Eggman again, but I'll bet he'll be back." Me and Y/N look over at the sea. "Looks like we're going to be fighting against Eggman for a long time. He'll never surrender." Chris adds...

"Your right. Eggman's got plenty of tricks up his sleeve. This battle is only beginning." We look ahead at the giant splash Eggman caused in the ocean far away from us. Y/N stands up and goes over to the edge of the boat. Having on foot up in the railing and adjusting her glasses. "Then I guess we'll just have to be ready for him. Eggman may have machines. But we have something he can never compare to us....We have each other. And with friends by your side..." I smile at her, and join beside her.

"There's nothing you can't lose."
