Honestly, she wasn't even sure what to call it. They weren't dating, so he technically wasn't her boyfriend. She doubted Hobie even considered her a lover.
"So you're friends with benefits?" Leo asked, stroking a brush through Margot's golden locs. Poppy puffed, tapping her painted finger against her glossed lips in thought. "Well no-" "Okay let's work this out." Anais threw her phone to the side, jumping onto Margot's fluffy yellow bedding, lying on her stomach across from the smaller girl she rest her head in her arms.
"Do you like him?" "Yes." "Does he like you?" "Yes." "Do you guys know you like each other? Like it's been established?" "Yes, where are we going with this?"
Margot turned in her vanity chair, holding her fingers against her plump lipstick stained lips, shushing her. "Trust the process." Leo nodded turning the girl around as he continued his brushing.
"Thank you Margot." Anais continued, her dark brown eyes boring into Poppy's skull. Poppy squirmed, pulling her knees towards her chest in discomfort. But before she could speak, another voice spoke up.
"Doesn't matter if they're emotionally involved, it's not friends with benefits if they aren't benefiting from each other." A gruff voice spoke up, the dark haired boy shut his book climbing onto the bed next to Poppy.
"Someone needs to be asking the real questions here." His head turned towards Poppy, his dark green eyes peered down at her through his shaggy black hair.
"You fuckin him?"
All eyes turned to Poppy as she squirmed uncomfortably. "Your silence is the only answer I need." Anais smirked.
Margot squealed clapping her hands. "Tell me all the details, is he good? Is he rough? How bi-" "Margot!" Leo scolded, tapping the head of the brush against her skull.
Blaise chuckled turning back to the smaller girl, he ran his tongue nervously over his lips. "Is he seeing anyone else?"
Poppy blanked, her doe eyes blinking slowly back up at the man beside her. "Um.. I never asked?" She replied raising her eyebrows. "So technically, you're just friends." Leo chimed in, tying the blondes hair back into a ponytail. "Friends who fuck each other." Margot chirped, admiring her hair in the vanity mirror. "Therefore benefiting from each other." Blaise concluded, grabbing Margot's stubbed bunny and pulling to his chest.
Anais shook her head solemnly, "Afraid, you've got your answer sugar."
"๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐?"
Love and Gwen blinked at the agitated girl. Love slowly took another bite of her pancake. "Does this seem like something we should leave for?" She whispered to Gwen, she shrugged. "Leave where? I'm homeless."
Hobie flipped the pancake in the pan, letting it brown on the other side. "Hello to you too Poppy." He hummed, turning to face the smaller girl, her hands rested on her hips.
"Are you seeing other people?" She repeated, watching as Hobie moved from the stove to the dining table, sliding another pancake into Love's place. He ruffled her raven black hair, "Technically I'm not even seeing you."
Gwen's eyes darted between the two, mouth a jar. A thick blanket of silence covered the room, the only sound being Love's soft chewing.
Poppy blinked, "I'm sorry what?" Gwen grabbed Love's arm, punching in the code for her dimension. "That's our cue to leave."
She dragged Love through the portal as she whined. "My fucking pancakes."
The two stared at each other, hurt written across Poppy's face. "We're not seeing each other." "Right, but you knew this lovey." "So that means you can see other people." Hobie sighed, walking towards the sink, placing the pan inside.
"Well yes-" "So have you?" He groaned, leaning against the counter. "Why would I? No one even holds a candle to you Poppy." Poppy nodded, attempting to hide the relief on his face.
"But since we're out here being honest." He turned on the tap, running water on the pan. "During the time you avoided me I did see some other people."
Poppy nodded slowly. It was her fault really. Did she expect him to continuously chase after her for months? That wasn't practical. No one was worth that kind of stress.
Especially not Poppy.
"None of that matters." Hobie explained, stepping towards her, her wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close. "Because I don't need any of em. I got you. And there's no one better." Poppy nodded slowly. "'Right?" "Right." She mumbled, he cupped her face in the palm of his hand. "You're my best friend Poppy, my best friend who I just happen to love. Things are great as it is let's not rock the boat yeah?" Poppy's doe eyes peered up at him, she looked like a kicked puppy as she nodded solemnly.
"Now come on, Love's pancakes aren't going to finish themself."

My chapters have been getting less views and comments. And I've been getting less edits on my fyp, is the fandom dying out already? Anytime Poppy speaks to anyone from her dimension just imagine it's all in French. So her friends, MJ, Aunt Mai. All in French.ย ๐๐ค๐ฉ ๐ฅ๐ง๐ค๐ค๐๐ง๐๐๐
