A/n~ So I don't have the creative mindset to write original songs for the band, so in this universe imagine The Cure and Olivia (obviously) doesn't exist and instead Social Scum and Cami are the original writers of the songs.
"...Don't you want me, baby? Don't you want me? Oh!" Theo, Cami and Freddie sung loudly, the three laughing loudly as Theo danced on the table, the blunt in his mouth as he waved the beer around. The band mates were very drunk at this point, and their highs weren't helping.
"...I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, that much is true, but even then I knew I'd find a much better place, either with or without you!" Freddie sung on his own, catching Theo as he jumped from the table, spinning his best friend around in his arms.
Freddie and Theo fell onto the couch bursting out in laughter as Cami fell on top of them. Theo took another drag of the weed, blowing the smoke in both his friends faces.
"I love you guys," Cami mumbled into their chests, her eyes closed as the three friends cuddled on the couch.
"We love you too," Freddie and Theo mumbled back in unison, the three falling silent as they continued to smoke and drink.

Theo was in the dojo, practicing his high kicks on a second dummy while Miguel threw punches at the other. Theo had just stopped to get a drink when Johnny walked out in casual clothing, bills in his hand.
"Hey, you guys don't happen to have any friends who wanna learn karate, do you?" Johnny asked them, looking mainly towards Theo hopefully. When Theo shook his head and Miguel continued punching the dummy, Johnny sighed. "Aw, what am I saying? You don't have any friends. Sorry."
"Hey, Sensei, when am I gonna learn to do some kicking?" Miguel asked him, watching, semi-enviously, Theo preform his kicks. "I saw a YouTube videos this guy breaking boards and it looked badass," he mimicked a kick.
"Yeah, no shit. Kicking is badass," Johnny told him. "But you're not ready. If I don't get more students in here, I won't be teaching you anything and Theo can go back to avoiding you like the plague."
"You've thought about advertising, right?" Theo asked, pausing mid-kick and balancing himself on his right foot.
"Yeah, duh. Of course," Johnny said, shrugging. Theo scoffed finally managing to kick the water bottle off the dummy's head.

"You guys are performing at the dance on Friday, right?" Moon asked, sitting in between Theo's legs in the bathroom. Theo, who had his back resting on the wall, a blunt between his lips and his right arm around Moon's waist.
"Five until seven thirty, then the roller rink nine until one," said Theo, handing her the blunt. "Why?"
"No reason," Moon shrugged. "What're you dressing up as?"
"We're doing the Day of the Dead," Theo smirked.
"So basic," Moon rolled her eyes.
"Says the Lakers cheerleader," Theo teased, getting elbowed gently in the stomach. Moon and Theo headed to the canteen for lunch, stealing kisses from one another every now and then. When they sat down at the table, Counsellor Blatt was already talking.
"Cyberbullying is no laughing matter," she began, and Theo couldn't lie, he was already bored as fuck. "Sending a cruel message to someone online can be just a hurtful as saying it to their face," at that point, Theo gave up, opting to text Cami and Freddie on his phone. "I'm not gonna name names, but the other day a mother called me up because her son was crying after some kids online made fun of his facial deformity."
The school could tell she was on about Eli, and Theo was furious, having to be held back by Moon and Freddie so he wouldn't attack her.
"But today, our goal here is to make this school a safe space for all students."
"Bullshit," said Theo loudly, coughing to mask his words. The cafeteria laughed, including Eli, which caused Theo to send him a smile and a thumbs up, which Eli shyly returned. Theo had heard enough at that point, and ignoring the councillors threats of detention, left. He gave Moon's knee a light squeeze and kissed her cheek before he left, causing Freddie and Cami to raise their eyebrows at him.
"So you and Moon are fucking now?" Freddie asked, breaking into giggles when Theo slapped his arm.
"Don't be so crude," Cami says with an eye roll.
"We just like to make-out, keeping it chill, y'know?" Theo shrugged, throwing his arm around their shoulders. "Besides, how would look if the resident rich girl was dating the resident rockstar?"

Miguel and Theo chatted quietly as they sat outside the dojo, waiting for Johnny to arrive. When they saw Johnny's red car pull up to the Dojo they both stood up, heading in Johnny's direction.
"Hey, Sensei, you told us to be here at 5:00, right?" Miguel asked, as Theo checked his phone to see it was now quarter-past.
"Yeah, but today's training's cancelled," Johnny grunted as he unlocked the doors.
"What? Why?" They both asked in unison, Theo crossing his arms over his chest as he stared blankly at the older man.
"'Cause I said so," Johnny replied shortly. Miguel and Theo looked at each other before shrugging and following him inside.
"Wait, Sensei, there's something that we wanna show you," said Theo, following the man into the office.
"Look, I'm really not in the mood," Johnny grunted again, opening a can of Coors. He offered one to Theo, who nodded to him in thanks as he watched Miguel pull out his computer.
"It's a Cobra Kai webpage, right?" Theo grinned enthusiastically, cracking open his can and taking a large gulp. "Miguel and I made it in study hall. Click on the snake," he urged Johnny eagerly pushing the blonde man forward.
"Okay, this is the sign-in page," said Miguel when Johnny clicked on the snake. "Now, we was thinking, maybe we can make an app where you track your progress, get a social media campaign going, get it out to the whole school. The possibilities are endless," his phone started ringing, both Johnny and Theo noting "Round and Round" by Ratt as his ringtone. "Oh. That was my mom. I'll call her back later."
"Hey, was that just--?" Johnny went to ask.
"Ratt?" Miguel cut him off with a smirk. "Awesome, right?"
"Yeah," Johnny and Theo agreed.
"I went online and looked up Guns N' Roses and ended up going on this whole '80s rock rabbit hole," Miguel explained while Theo dramatically gasped.
"You didn't know who Guns N' Roses were?" He said in shock, pretending to faint. "Half of Social Scums covers are 80's rock bands!"
"And that shit is dope!" Miguel said, clapping hands with Theo.
"All right, meet me at the high school at midnight," Johnny told Miguel. "Take the night off LaRusso, you got a gift to prepare for."
"Yes, Sensei."
—————
"You guys look cool as fuck!" Said Johnny when the Social Scum came out of the bathroom in their Day of the Dead costumes. Their faces were painted with a skeleton, and while Theo and Freddie opted for a black, purple and gold suit with a tailcoat and a top hat decorated with skulls and Cami opted for a dress in the same colour with a purple and black rose flower crown.
"We're ready to rock!" Cami grinned, high-fiving her bandmates.
"I wish I could show my mom what I did to those boards, but if she knew where I was right now, she would kill me," Miguel told Johnny, ignoring the band as they went over their set list for the final.
"Ugh," Johnny groaned, another bill in his hand.
"What's wrong with you, man?" Freddie asked, the band rejoining the other two.
"Nothing," Johnny shook it off, turning towards Miguel. "Put your costume on, I'm driving you to that dance, and we're gonna pick up some more students while we jam out to some good rock music," the band members of the Social Scum beamed at his compliment before they grimaced at Miguel's costume.
"What the hell is that?" The four of them asked the Diaz boy in unison.
"This is my Halloween costume," Miguel shrugged. It was just an old flowery bed sheet with two holes for the eyes. "My ya-ya made it. It started off as Deadpool. Then I think it was Spider-Man, and then it just kinda became some generic superhero."
"Or a member of the Klan more like," Freddie mumbled, getting nudged in the ribs by Cami and Theo.
"Yeah, a poor member of the Klan at that," Johnny agreed with the boy. "Well, we can't let you go out like that.We have a reputation to uphold. You guys go on ahead."
—————
"You guys ready?" Theo asked the other two as they stood behind the curtain. The crowd of teenagers outside were chanting the bands name over and over again as they eagerly awaited their first song.
"Born ready, baby!" Freddie whooped, downing his beer and throwing the can behind him. They got into a group huddle, Cami leading a small prayer before they got into their positions. Theo threw the guitar strap of his black Gibson Les Paul over his shoulder before holding three fingers up, counting down to one before they played the introduction to "Teenagers" by My Chemical Romance.
"They're gonna clean up your looks
With all the lies in the books
To make a citizen out of you
Because they sleep with a gun
And keep an eye on you, son
So they can watch all the things you do."
The curtain dropped and the bright lights landed on the trio, their group of West Valley High kids cheering loudly when they saw the band in front of them.
"Because the drugs never work
They're gonna give you a smirk
'Cause they got methods of keeping you clean
They're gonna rip up your heads
Your aspirations to shreds
Another cog in the murder machine."
"They said, "All teenagers scare the livin' shit out of me"
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes, or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me."
Theo laughed into the microphone as he saw Councillor Blatt shake her head disapprovingly at the band, before a genuine smile spread across his face as he saw Moon dancing with her friends and Miguel, Eli, Demetri and Kai hopping in the corner of the gym.
"Right, we're going to take a short break and we'll be back soon," said Theo, an hour and half later when they finished their first set. They had done covers for their first set, to get the crowd buzzing. Theo took his guitar off and set it on the stand, taking a secret hip flask out of his pocket and laughing as the burn of the whiskey hit his throat.
"You guys were awesome!" Moon cheered, hugging all three band members tightly, giving Theo a light kiss.
"Yeah, pretty rad," Yasmine smirked, mainly at Freddie.
"I like your costume," Freddie smirked back at her. She whispered something in his ear which caused him to grin widely.
"And suddenly I'm no longer hungry," Theo muttered, squeezing Moon's waist.
"I wouldn't worry too much, Aisha has been hogging the food table allllll night," Yasmine drawled out, eyeing the girl who was sat near a table, eyeing her phone miserably.
"God, you're such a fucking bitch!" Cami exclaimed, causing Moon and Theo to suppress their laughs into their hands while Freddie looked at her with wide eyes. "You think just because you're so rich and popular it means you can be a bitch and a bully to anyone you want, but in reality you're just a sad, lonely, stuck-up asshole!"
Yasmine looked at the group, tears glistening in her eyes before she stormed off.
"That was dope!" Theo laughed, high-fiving Cami.
"Yeah, honestly she needed to hear it," Moon agreed with them.
"Hey, I'm going to use the bathroom," Theo kissed Moon on the cheek and walked off. As he entered the bathroom he heard groaning coming from around the corner and saw Miguel laying on the floor, groaning in pain as he held his bloody face.
"Shit, dude!" Theo bent down to his level, inspecting his face. "What happened?" The door opened and in walked Johnny, bending down to their level.
"It was Kyler," Miguel groaned in pain. Theo felt himself grow angry but Johnny placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, go finish your performances, alright? Don't worry about Kyler for now," Theo nodded, sighing as he patted Miguel's shoulder.
—————
"There she is," Freddie grinned as they set up at the roller rink. He pointed out a waitress who was skating around with someone's order. She had brown hair with blonde highlights, and Theo was extremely nervous around her and never asked her out.
"Aw, the love of Theo's life," Cami said, placing both hands over her heart as she pouted at Theo. "We have to perform the song!"
"No! We're not performing the song!" Theo exclaimed, blushing in embarrassment.
"Oh, look, she's coming!" Cami said. Theo jumped to his feet, nearly bumping his head on a speaker. True to her word, the waitress was in fact coming over to them, carrying a tray of drinks.
"Special from the manager," said the waitress, handing each band member the drink. "Jack and coke," the waitress whispered in Theo's ear, causing the boy to blush heavily.
"T-thanks," Theo muttered, taking a large gulp.
"I'm Tory, by the way," the girl now known as Tory said, looking more specifically at Theo. "I've seen you guys perform a few times here, you're good."
"Thanks," Freddie cut in before Theo could respond. "Hey, we're debuting a song for the first time tonight, Theo wrote it actually," he continued on, throwing his arm around Theo's shoulder. "It's about a girl he likes, only sees her on a Friday though," he hinted at her. Tory laughed watching as Theo looked at the floor.
"I look forward to hearing it," Tory winked at Theo. "Break a leg, Rockstar."
"Fuck it, we're doing the song," said Theo when Tory was out of ear shot. Freddie and Cami grinned, high-fixing each other. "Last one of the night."
"I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday I'm in love."
"Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday I'm in love."
"Saturday wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday never hesitate..."
Theo looked to the crowd as he performed. The crowd were skating as they danced, cheering for the band, and then his eyes found hers. Tory was on her break, watching the band as she sipped her cola.
Theo winked at her. He didn't know where the confidence came from. Tory let a shy smile grace her features and Theo smirked, dancing with Cami as they played their respective chords before heading back to the microphone.
"I don't care if Mondays black
Tuesday, Wednesday heart attack
Thursday never looking back
It's Friday I'm in love."
"Monday you can hold your head
Tuesday, Wednesday stay in bed
Or Thursday watch the walls instead
It's Friday I'm in love."
"Saturday wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday never hesitate..."
"Dressed up to the eyes
It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a shriek
Spinning round and round
Always take a big bite
It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night
You can never get enough
Enough of this stuff
It's Friday
I'm in love."
"I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday, I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love."
"Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday, break my heart
Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday, I'm in love."
The band finished their song, to loud cheering, claps and wolf-whistling from the crowd. Theo looked towards the waitress to see Tory on her feet clapping her hands with a smile on her face.
