THE next day, Griffin and Diego were walking through the corridors of their school. Other students turned to take a look at the two friends and turned to look away again. That's when Griffin noticed that something was off.

Usually, when they walk beside each other, most people give them high-fives and wave at them, but at this very moment, nobody seemed to care about them. Griffin turned to send a confused look at Diego before spotting their friend in a distance. Ava Michelle.

Ava was a very pretty, blonde girl with blue eyes and a slightly taller figure. She was Griffin's co-star at some point in a movie, which involved Mal as well.

"Hey, Ava!"

"Hey, Griffin, Diego, what's up?" the girl greeted, wrapping them both in a quick, greeting hug.

"Ava, what's going on?"

She frowned a little. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, why is everyone acting strange?"

She shrugged, shutting her locker and turning to them.

"I don't know, not anyway. I should get going, though. It's lunch break, and I'm starving."

They all waved at each other. The two boys followed Ava towards the cafeteria.

And suddenly, Griffin could understand why everyone was ignoring them.

At a certain table in the middle of the cafeteria, a very familiar couple sat and talked to each other, as if they were on a date and they were the only two people left in the world. Mal, and Felix.

To him, it seemed as if everybody noticed Felix because he was sitting with Mal at the same table. Earlier that month, Mal used to sit with Griffin, Diego, and Ava, and all eyes were on them. Griffin never noticed Felix before because he was too shy to sit in a place like that. However, Mal knew that if she made him sit with her, all eyes would be on him and not Griffin.

Because the eyes were on Mal in the first place.

Since Mal was a very famous actress, singer and dancer, and popular among the students, people cared about the person she sat with at lunch. When she sat with Griffin, everyone loved Griffin. When she sat with Felix, everyone suddenly loved Felix. Despite Griffin being more popular whatsoever.

Griffin scoffed at the sight of the couple holding each other's hands and giggling about something, then smirked to himself.

"Let's go, Diego."

The two boys then slowly walked towards the table, a smirk on their faces. Soon enough, they were standing by the table.

"Hey, Mal! How is everything going?"

She tore her eyes from Felix, who looked down anxiously and stared up at Griffin.

"Hey, Griffin, Diego." she greeted with a sweet smile.

They both sat down at the table, and Griffin made sure he sat next to Mal.

"So, aren't you going to introduce us?"

Felix gulped.

"Oh, yes. I forgot. Griffin, Diego, this is my boyfriend Felix. Felix, these are my friends."

Felix sent a fake, anxious smile towards Griffin. Meanwhile, the other boy sent him an obnoxious smile while he wrapped his arms around Mal's torso.

"Anyways, bestie! What are you both up to? I hope we're not intruding or anything,"

Mal took an uncomfortable look at Griffin's arm around her, then tried to let go of him.

"Oh no, cause God forbids you to do that, of course," Mal spoke, then leaned towards Griffin's ear and glared at him. "What are you doing, Griffin?"

"Helping you," he whispered back.

"I don't need help, just leave us alone." he shook his head at that, then turned to Felix again.

"So, Felix," Griffin began, "where are you from?"

"Australia," Felix replied weakly, not looking directly into his eyes.

"Weird. I thought you were from South Korea?"

"I'm from Australia, but I was living in South Korea f-for three years." he stuttered a little.

"Griffin," Mal growled under her breath.

"Oh. That's great! Why though?"

"I..." Felix gulped again, "My parents are from K-Korea."

"Oh." Griffin nodded slightly, "And what do you do exactly?"

"W-What?"

"I mean what do you do in your life? If Mal is dating you then she must've thought you were talented or saw something in you. You know what I mean?"

Felix nodded again. "I... I'm here to j-just study, I guess."

Griffin eyed the boy suspiciously.
