chapter thirty six

knockin' on heavens door

━✧━

JORDANNA HAD BEEN cooped up in Klaus' room days on end, she felt like utter shit ━ to put it lightly. Her illness, or whatever the fuck it was, had caused her to be glued to the bed, maybe the occasional trip to the bathroom, but that was it.

Stefan Salvatore, the party pooper he was, had dragged Jordanna out of bed, along with Klaus. They had been put on vampire babysitting duty ...

I mean, what the fuck? Does she look like a fucking babysitter to you?

Kol, had interpreted Klaus' plans to find the cure by making it his life long mission to end Jeremy's sad, sad life.

Though, Jordanna wasn't opposed to the idea ━ not with how the Gilbert boy had been treating her . . . she killed Elena like what, a month or two ago? Get over it jeez.

She was alive wasn't she? It's not that big of a deal.

All she was saying was she thought his death wasn't needed, yet.

But come to it, in a few years time Jordanna would find herself being the one responsible for the little Gilbert's death.

Anyways, of course Klaus had told, more demanded actually, his brother not to harm the boy, Kol found a loophole in his brothers words and compelled Damon fucking Salvatore to kill him.

So, Stefan, being the saint he is, locked Damon up in the cellar of the Salvatore house and forced Jordanna to watch over him. Knowing her hatred towards his brother he knew that she wouldn't let him step out of line or he would simply die ━ a secret part of the Jones witch wished that the Salvatore acted up just so she could end his miserable life.

Whilst the others brushed off Kol's concerns about Silas, Jordanna had decided to make it her life long mission to find out why Kol bloody Mikaelson was scared of someone who might not even be real . . . all in all she figured this Silas guy was real as he had Kol shitting his pants and he hadn't even caught sight of him yet.

But as Jordanna and Klaus were on their way to go the Salvatore residence Klaus had decided he needed to go and talk to Rebekah about the daggers, only for the couple to find an unsuspected guest attempting to sneak out from the original's room ...

"Look, I get you want Kol daggered and everything but is it, like, seriously necessary?" Jordanna questioned as she and Klaus walked down the elegant hallways of Rebekah's house.

"Jordanna, love," Klaus suddenly stopped walking with a sigh, turning to face the witch he ran his hand down his face in exasperation as the other was placed firmly in hers. "In order to get the cure we need the hunter, hence Kol's pathetic compulsion on Damon has to end."

Jordanna rolled her eyes, "okay, but does he, like, have to stay daggered because-"

"I will undagger him after we find the cure and matters have calmed down," Klaus sighed in annoyance, scowling at the grin on the witch's face. "But, if he does anything it's on you."

"Okay, okay," Jordanna beamed. "Consider me Kol Mikaelson's personal babysitter."

"Bloody hell," Klaus muttered under his breath as they stood in front of the bedroom door, the witch raised her hand to knock only for the door to swing open revealing Stefan fucking Salvatore.

What in God's name is going on?

"Leaving so soon?" Klaus tilted his head, a smirk present on his face.

"Holy shit," Jordanna breathed out in shock, Stefan shifted uncomfortably under the widened eyes of his best friend. "Holy shit. You didn't? You did, oh fuck. What the fuck Stef?"

"Hey!-" Rebekah shot up at the sound of Stefan's loud protests as the Jones witch sent repeated smacks to the Salvatore's shoulder.

The blonde's eyes widened at the view in front of her. Klaus stood, leaning on the doorway with his arms crossed as he watched Jordanna scold Stefan in amusement.

"I don't appreciate you invading my privacy like some kind of creeping Tom," Rebekah snapped angrily, hastily tying a robe around her waist as she glared at her brother.

"Uh ━ hello," Jordanna waved in the blonde's face sarcastically as she let go of the Salvatore vampire. "I'm here too, you know?"

"Yes, well that doesn't apply to you Jords. You're welcome here anytime," the blonde smiled at her friend briefly before her gaze fell back onto her brother, her face suddenly turning sour.

Jordanna sent a smug smile in Klaus' direction to which he rolled his eyes at in retaliation. "Well, I apologize for breaking up this sordid little tryst, but I do have some urgent business." Klaus made his way further into the room as his eyes darted between the two vampires. "Or have you forgotten that our paranoid brother, Kol, is running around with a white oak stake and homicide on the brain?

"He tried to kill me last night, I didn't forget," Rebekah spat bitterly, crossing her arms with an annoyed look plastered on her face.

"Yes, well, unfortunately, he seems to have absconded with my set off daggers."

"It's true," Jordanna butted in. "He's not been the same since the kidnapping of his sweet, sweet daggers, he cares for them like they're his kids, it's creepy."

Stefan pursed his lips from besides the witch as he tried to keep his smile at bay, which was almost impossible as the Jones girl kept sending him small glances as the siblings argued.

"Oh, poor, Nik," Rebekah scoffed. "How ever will you get your way without your precious daggers? They were so handy when you wanted to end a conversation with one of us!"

Klaus sighed, "Kol's irrational fear of Silas has pushed him over the edge."

Jordanna narrowed her eyes at the hybrids words ━ they were all acting as if Kol had gone crazy. Not being funny or anything but, doesn't it strike you as odd when a fearless, 1000 year old vampire is scared of one presumed man?

Meaning ... stating the obvious here, Silas is real. Duh.

"We need to put him down before he does anymore damage. Now, I know you have the last dagger, and I know you have some white ash, so hand it over."

"Manners, Nik," Jordanna gritted out, sending him a pointed look as he scowled at her. Stefan watched in amusement as he bumped his hips against Jordanna's, watching the altercation.

"Mhm, and leave myself unprotected? You can file that request under 'no chance in Hell'. Be gone by the time I've showered, lurkers aren't welcome here," Rebekah voiced out, brushing past them as she made her way to the bathroom.

"You want some company, Bex?" Jordanna shouted after her with a teasing smile, the hybrid's eyes narrowed before his hand latched around her wrist, pulling her body to his.

"What? What have I done now?"

"Wakey, wakey," Jordanna taunted, bashing against the steel metal bars of the cell Damon was thrown in.

The Salvatore stirred awake with a groan, shooting a glare in the witch's direction for interrupting his dream about a certain doppelganger ━ ew. "You coming to snap my neck again?" Damon asked weakly, looking in the direction of his brother who stood besides the Jones witch.

"Because I woke up feeling completely un-murderous, and I'm pretty sure it's safe to set me free," Damon smirked lightly when he got no response from his brother who just stared at him blankly, crossing his arms over his chest.

Stefan silently threw Damon a small vial of blood. "Oh, man, really?" Damon groaned in annoyance. "You practically bled me dry. At least spring for a bag or something. I'm thirsty."

"Yeah, for Elena," Jordanna grumbled under her breath, the Salvatore's both throwing her a glare at her comment.

Stefan remained silent as he passed Jordanna a water bottle who then teasingly waved it in Damon's face before she threw it inside the cellar, aiming for his head but missed mildly as it his his torso.

"Not exactly what I had in mind," Damon grumbled, dragging his body up from the floor ━ holding onto the cellar bars for stability.

Another step of footfalls reached Jordanna's ears just before a familiar voice spoke. "Hello, mate," Klaus' voice reverberated throughout the basement, causing Jordanna to turn to face him.

"What the Hell are you doing here?" Damon croaked out, eyes narrowed into slits as they followed Klaus making his way over to the witch.

"Babysitting," Klaus simply stated with a smirk, throwing an arm over the witch's shoulder.

Damon frowned. "Oh."

"Give him a vile of blood every couple of hours, so he doesn't desiccate," Stefan told the two as Jordanna interlocked hers and Klaus' fingers, boredly listening on. "If he gets too much strength back or just annoys you, bleed him out again."

"Silent treatment? Is that your best shot?" Damon rolled his eyes at his brother before they fell onto Klaus. "He's still pissed at me for sleeping with Elena."

Jordanna choked out a laugh, "yeah, okayy."

"Are you sure about that? Because we caught him trying to sneak out of Rebekah's bed this morning, which would suggest to me that he's moved on."

Stefan clenched his jaw, looking away as Damon's slightly amused eyes found his once again, "well, well. Looks like my brother ripped out a page of my revenge sex hand book."

Jordanna looked between the three with a humorous look just as her phone began to ring. "Give me a sec, I've gotta take this."

Klaus nodded, absently placing a chaste kiss on her cheek as she made her way out of the cellar and up to the main room in the Salvatore house.

Kol.

"Well, well," Jordanna hummed teasingly. "To what do I owe the pleasure Mr. Mikaelson?"

"Hello, darling," Kol spoke, Jordanna could practically hear the smirk in his voice as he spoke. "I was just wondering whether you'd be up to a bit of fun this evening?"

"And what kind of fun are you suggesting?" Jordanna tilted her head in curiosity.

"Just the usual. Threats, violence ... murder. " Kol grinned down at the other end of the phone. "I take it you're in?"

"Going against Nik's wishes to kill little Gilbert I'm guessing?" Jordanna took a seat down onto the couch in the Salvatore room.

"Obviously," Kol rolled his eyes playfully.

"If you don't tell Nikki," Jordanna spoke pointedly. "He'll kill me if he found out I was helping you."

"It can be our little secret," Kol smiled before he frowned. "Besides, why are you helping little ole' me?"

Jordanna paused. "Boredom?"

"I assumed babysitting Damon would be fun for you, I must be mistaken," Kol chuckled. "Oh, well, meet me near the doppelganger's street."

"See you then," Jordanna smiled before hanging up.

"Was that Kol?"

"Fucking Christ!" Jordanna jumped, hand going to her heart in shock. "Don't do that!"

"My apologies, love," Klaus smiled sheepishly, looking down at the ground before his eyes found hers once again.

"To answer your question, yes that was Kol," Jordanna played with her hair as she rose from her seat.

"And why was my brother calling you?" Klaus narrowed his eyes.

"To catch up?" Jordanna grimaced at her words.

She could lie better than that. What the fuck, Jordanna?

"Ah, to catch up?" Klaus nodded. "Not to pull you into his pathetic schemes, I take it?"

"Of course not," Jordanna shook her head with a smile. "I would never."

"Right," Klaus mumbled. "Try convince him not to kill the hunter, we're going to need him to find the cure."

"Erm ━ I don't know what you're talking about Nik, honestly," Jordanna denied with a sheepish smile as his hands wrapped around her waist.

"Of course," he raised his eyebrows in amusement.

"Why do you even want the stupid cure anyway?" Jordanna asked in hope of changing the subject.

Though that failed miserably.

"Jordanna," Klaus sent her a look.

"Whatever, look I can't promise anything, okay?" She gave in as his hands trailed down to her hips. "If it just so happens to get to murder there's not much I can do about it, is there? There'll be another hunter sooner or later."

"Jordanna," Klaus mumbled, resting his head against hers.

"And it's not like you need it right this minute, who's to say Kol will kill him just yet," Jordanna rambled.

"Jordanna," Klaus spoke again.

"What?" She murmured, out of her daze.

He didn't say anything, the Mikaelson only pressed his lips to hers in a soft kiss. Their lips crashing together rhythmically, what once was a soft, loving kiss turned into one of passion. Jordanna almost groaned, she had missed this ━ they hadn't banged in what, over a week? That was probably the longest they'd gone without having sex and it was driving her nuts, though it was entirely her fault as she was always either sleeping, eating or being sick.

The occasional murder but that was it.

She felt like an old lady, in a marriage.

Not having sex.

"Go on," Klaus gestured to the door with his head as they pulled apart.

"Are you sure?" Jordanna frowned.

"If you're with him I'll feel a lot better," Klaus spoke quietly. "Atleast try and convince him there are more rational ways about this than murder, or I'll have to put him down."

"Like you can talk," Jordanna snorted, referring to his murder comment before pressing a kiss to his cheek as she made her way out of the Salvatore house, sending the hybrid one last look.

Jordanna walked down the dark street in boredom, the glow of the bright street lights shone down on her as her heels clicked against the pavement.

She had left after Kol and he was still late, does this man have no sense of timing or what?

She popped some bubble-gum in her mouth as she wandered down the street.

An agitated sigh left her lips as she neared the doppelganger's house, which was illuminated by golden lights.

        Cute.

She wondered what it was like living in a warm home, although Elena's family had passed away she still had Jeremy and the memories of her family in that house.

Jordanna, however, couldn't stay in hers, her house was filled with the dreaded memories of her father killing her mom and all the emptiness it carried. Even the house she had now was nothing, it was cold, the silence was always too loud for her and it drove her insane.

She wondered what it was like living in a stable home, a family to love ━ okay, enough of that, she was getting sappy.

        Ew.

Back on topic, she reached down into her bag, pulling out her phone as she went to ring the Mikaelson and ask him of his whereabouts when a shrill shriek left her lips as her body descended down a ditch by the side of the road.

She looked up in anger as her eyes fell on a hysterical Mikaelson. "What the fuck, Kol?" Jordanna screamed as she hastily brushed the dirt from her hair.

"I'm sorry . . . I'm ━" Kol panted out in laughter, his irritating chuckle boomed through Jordanna's ears as she scowled at him in annoyance.

"Asshole!" The witch mumbled as she began to pull herself up.

"Let me," Kol choked out, offering the witch a hand, she reluctantly placed her hand in his as he started to lift her from the ground only for him to let her go ━ watching in amusement as her body dropped to the floor.

"I swear to fuck, I'm gonna kill you, you cunt!" The Jones witch screeched, pushing her body up from the ground before she smacked Kol on the shoulder repeatedly.

"Ow! My God woman," Kol mumbled, holding his shoulder in agony. "What do you eat for breakfast? Bricks?"

Jordanna pulled a face before she sent one last hit to his shoulder, ignoring the series of ow's he let out.

"You got a little ... " Kol chuckled as he brushed a spot of dirt from her shoulder, the witch scowled at him in annoyance.

"Touch me again and I'll tear off your hand and feed it to Jeremy," she grumbled, smacking his hand from her shoulder.

Kol raised his hands in false surrender, "alright. Down to business it is then."

"Asshole," the witch mumbled as Kol grinned in amusement.

"Don't be like that," Kol whined, throwing an arm over her shoulder which she shrugged off with a scowl.

"What's the plan anyway?" Jordanna raised her brows in question as they strolled down the street, her bubble gum popping whilst doing so.

"I'm not quite sure, threats, maybe?" Kol questioned himself as they walked. "And if they don't co-operate then ... death."

"Fun," Jordanna smirked, looking over at the youngest Mikaelson brother. "And what exactly are we negotiating?"

"We cut off the hunters arm or he dies," Kol told her with a playful grin.

Jordanna sent him a bemused look, "yeah . . . I don't think they'll agree to that one, Kol."

"Then they die," Kol nodded in clarification.

"Right," Jordanna popped her gum. "Bonnie's sooo gonna' kill me if we kill Jeremy."

"The Bennett witch?" Kol question with a frown.

"Yep," Jordanna spoke as they neared the house.

"She tried to kill me today," Kol hummed nonchalantly as he pulled out his phone, plugging his earphones in.

Jordanna raised her eyebrows, "what, why?"

"Because I tried to kill her," The Original shrugged, offering her one side of the earphones, which she slowly took with a look of confusion.

"Why the fuck would you try kill, Bonnie?"

"Ah, we're still talking about this, it's old news, Anna," Kol rolled his eyes playfully. "Keep up."

"The fuck you on? You brought it up, dickhead━"

Kol hushed her as he placed a finger on his lips in a 'silent' motion, his finger pointed down at the contact name. Jordanna's eyes narrowed as 'Jeremy Gilbert' sat along the screen.

Okay, but, why the fuck does Kol still have his number?

"Jeremy Gilbert! Nice to see I'm still on your speed dial, mate. Hey, do you want to meet up at the batting cages in Denver?" Kol asked teasingly, receiving an exaggerated eyeroll from the witch.

"Actually, it's Elena Gilbert."

"What a treat," Kol's voice became flat, almost menacing. "Yeah, I was just thinking of all the clever ways I could have your brother killed, but, I'd settle for ripping off his illustrated arm instead."

"I need to talk to you, in person," Elena rushed out, gulping down all the fear that slowly rose up her spine. "I wanna' call a truce in the name of Silas."

In the name of Silas my ass.

Kol stopped abruptly, his hand reached for the back of Jordanna's jacket, stopping her from tumbling to the ground at his sudden action, "you want to talk about Silas."

Jordanna shook her head, a clear fucking sign of her saying no.

But does Kol listen? Does he fuck.

"I'll meet you wherever you want," Elena told him, keeping her shaking voice at bay as she shared a look with her brother. "I'll come to you."

"I'll tell you what, how about we come to you?" Kol asked just as the doorbell of the Gilbert household rang, the Gilbert family spun in shock, facing the door as fear suddenly overtook them.

"If you want a truce, open the door and invite me in." The younger Mikaelson brother spoke, impatiently waiting on the porch as Jordanna clicked her heels against the floor boredly.

Elena's eyes widened as her heightened senses caught onto the familiar sound before she spun to her brother.

"I'm waiting, let me in and let's talk truce," Kol repeated with an eye roll as he and the witch shared a look. "Hello?"

"Wouldn't that be kind of stupid to invite you in?" The doppelganger questioned as she pulled a blackboard from the wall, beginning to scribble down on it. Outside, Jordanna gestured to the door before pointing to herself as to say: 'I can go in, stupid.'

All she got was a shake of the head.

Boringgg.

"On the contrary, I can't kill your brother with my own two hands, or I'll suffer the hunter's curse and spend the next twenty years trying to off myself in gruesome ways," the original responded with a sour face.

Back in the house, Elena lifted the blackboard up from the kitchen counter, showing off what she wrote to Matt. 'Go find the dagger.' The Donovan boy nodded before slipping out of the back door.

"And I've heard that vervain's back in town, so I can't compel you to kill him either. I think it's fair to say you're semi-safe, for now," Kol continued, mindlessly.

Elena lifted the board, showing Jeremy the new message written on it, which was meant for him, 'Jordanna's here, get me the cuffs then get out. Go find the witch. Whatever you do, don't tell Bonnie'.

Jeremy sent her a bemused look, "I'm the only one that can invite him inside."

Kol grinned in amusement, "he's right, obviously."

Elena gulped, hesitantly hanging up. She handed Jeremy her phone before making her way down the beige, narrow hallway. Pulling the door open, she became face to face with a smirking Kol and a grinning Jordanna.

Great.

Kol smirked, gesturing for the witch to enter the house, to which she did with a grateful smile, "you'd think being alive for over a thousand years would teach me some manners, but I couldn't resist stopping by."

"If I let you in, my brother goes. Neither of you are getting near him," Elena sent Jordanna a look as the Jones girl sauntered around.

"Fair enough," Kol shrugged, looking back at Jordanna with a sly smile.

Elena turned to Jeremy with a nod, the youngest Gilbert reluctantly glanced over at Kol. "You can come in," Jeremy turned, immediately leaving the house, crossbow in hand, but before doing so he sent a subtle look to Elena, his eyes falling down onto a set of draws.

The handcuffs, Elena sighed in relief.

If you was wondering how the Gilberts seemed to get their sticky fingers on a pair of those bad-boys, then look no further. They had resided in their household for years, only no one ( other than Miranda and Greyson ) knew what they were for. It was only a few weeks ago when Elena and Jeremy found one of their father's journals, meaning, they found the answers they were looking for in regards to the handcuffs.

Elena remembered when she and Jordanna were fourteen and they found them stuffed in the top of a closet, Caroline claimed that they must've stole them while Jordanna deemed that they had a kink...

"No gold medals for bravery, I see," Kol grinned, meeting Elena's nervous stance. "You know, the thing I love about modern age is music ... anytime you like."

Jordanna snorted as she spun on her feet, failing to notice how the doppelganger caught sight of the white oak stake stashed in Kol's pocket as he put his phone and earphones away.

"Are you going to offer your guests a drink, Elena? It's rude not to," Jordanna raised her brows, tilting her head aside as she did a one over of the doppelganger.

Elena gulped, nodding silently as she moved out of the doorway ━ making way for Kol, who then walked further into the house, his arm linking in Jordanna's as he dragged her around the Gilbert residence.

Jordanna sat on the couch, watching Kol play a video game on the Xbox in boredom just as Elena walked up behind the pair, a bottle of alcohol in her hands.

"Sorry, I had to dig up the old people alcohol," Elena announced sheepishly, lifting the bottle.

Kol turned, pausing the game before he grabbed Jordanna's forearm and yanked her up from the couch earning a groan of protest before he pulled her into the kitchen with him.

"Yeah, that's the problem with people today, they have no drinking imagination. Turn of the century New Orleans, now they knew how to make a drink," Kol grinned at the memories. Jordanna watched him with a small smile, how sweet.

"You lived in New Orleans?" The Gilbert asked in question.

"Why are you so nosy?" Jordanna narrowed her eyes, her snappy tone earning the attention of the two vampires. "I thought we were here to talk about Silas not about Kol's past life."

"I━ uh,"

Kol teasingly placed a hand on Jordanna's shoulder, before turning to Elena, "don't mind her, she's been around Klaus too much, it's gone to her head."

Elena let out a strained chuckle, turning away from the witch who was glaring in her direction, "so, New Orleans?"

"Ah, yes we all lived there. Till Niklaus shoved a dagger in my heart," Kol nodded looking in the Jones' direction.

Jordanna raised her brows as if to say: why the fuck are you looking at me?

Kol shook his head with a smile before his attention fell back onto Elena. "Why? What did you do?"

"What makes you think I did anything?" The original scowled as she turned to face the duo, three glasses in hand. "Has your alliance with my brother softened you to his horrors?"

"They don't have an alliance," Jordanna rolled her eyes, resting her elbows on the counter before placing her cheek in her hand.

Elena nodded her head in agreement, "we had a mutual interest in finding the cure ━ that's all."

"Had?" Kol and Jordanna shared a look.

"I thought you hated being a vampire, 'Lena," Jordanna mocked. "Why the Hell would you give up being human again ━ growing old, having a family?"

"I did want that, I do," Elena sighed. "But, I'm willing to give up looking for it if you promise to leave my brother alone."

Jordanna narrowed her eyes at the brunette, she's up to something.

When Kol nor Jordanna responded to the doppelganger's words she picked up a mixer, holding it to him with a smile, "now, can you teach me how to make this?"

Kol's eyes formed into slits as he took the mixer, Elena smiled at him and Jordanna sheepishly before making her way over to the fridge as Jordanna neared the two by the counter. "I'll get some ice."

"Tu parli Italiano?" You speak Italian? Jordanna whispered lowly to Kol as they watched the brunette rummage around the fridge.

"Ovviamente," obviously, Kol whispered back with an eyeroll.

"Lei sta tramando qualcosa," she's up to something, Jordanna told him, the original nodded in agreement. "Non appena inizia a diventare strano, ce ne andiamo, capito?" As soon as it starts getting fucking weird we're leaving, got it?

Elena subtly peered out from behind the fridge, watching Jordanna and Kol whisper amongst themselves as The Original poured the mixer into a glass. She let out an anxious breath before pulling her phone out, reading a message from her brother, 'trying to find the witch. keep them there.' Elena stuffed the phone in her back pocket before grabbing a jar of ice, closing the fridge door she jumped slightly as she came face to face with Kol.

"Here you go," Elena swallowed sharply, offering the jar to the original.

"Would you like one?" Kol questioned, taking the jar from her as he made his way back over to Jordanna by the kitchen island.

"I won't poison it, Lena," Jordanna taunted with a smirk. "Promise."

Elena hesitated, looking between the two uncomfortably, "sure. Why not?"

Kol placed the ice in the glasses before sliding one over to the doppelganger, he pushed the additional glass towards Jordanna who pushed it away with a shrug. Odd.

"You're really good at that game," Elena stupidly looked over at the Tv. "Definitely considering you've been locked up in a coffin for a hundred years."

       Seriously?

Jordanna snorted at Elena's pathetic way of starting a conversation, idiot.

Kol smiled falsely, "I'm a quick learner. Speedy reflexes. It's not much like the real thing, though, is it? You've killed haven't you? Or are you one of those Mary Sue vampires?"

Elena nodded grimly, her voice breaking slightly as she spoke, "I've killed. Once. I'm guessing both your numbers are a lot higher than mine," Elena looked between the two.

"You lose track over the years," Kol shrugged. "And you, Anna? What about your number?"

Jordanna smirked, "all I'm gonna say is for eighteen, I'm doing good."

Elena gulped, she didn't understand how they could take pride in murder. How they could kill someone without so much as blinking, it was inhumane. Though, on that note it did make her feel slightly better about hers and Jeremy's plan to kill Kol, he was a murderer, he deserved it . . . maybe if they were lucky they could get Jordanna too.

"So," Kol's voice broke Elena out of her thoughts. "Are we going to talk about Silas, or just jibber-jabber?"

"Jibber-jabber," Jordanna mocked earning a scowl from her friend.

Elena gestured for the two to head for the living room, they complied ━ making their way over. The doppelganger hastily pulled her phone from her pocket as a message from Matt popped up, 'no dagger yet. need time.' Elena quickly followed behind the two after putting her phone away, stopping several feet away ━ not wanting to be too close.

Kol and Jordanna watch the brunette shift uncomfortably under their stare. "You're being weird, we don't bite, Elena," Jordanna smirked, her tongue poking the side of her mouth in amusement.

"Unless you ask," Kol added earning a disgusted look from Jordanna.

"Ew, Kol ━ what the fuck?"

Elena cleared her throat awkwardly, "nobody else seems to think Silas exists, so why do you?"

Kol chuckled, "I used to run with some witches. Africa in the fourteenth century, Haiti in the seventeenth century, New Orleans in the nineteen hundreds. They all knew about Silas ━ that he needed to stay buried. I actually hold witches in high esteem."

Jordanna smiled sweetly as the Mikaelson sent her a lopsided smile at the end of his sentence.

"Yeah, but why Silas? Why are you so afraid of him?" Elena asked, curiosity peaking her interest.

"They said if Silas rises, he'll unleash Hell on Earth," Kol tilted his head, watching over the girl. "I happen to like Earth just the way it is."

        "That's pretty biblical," Elena grumbled.

"Well, that's the other problem with people today ━ they've lost faith. And in that loss, they no longer know who they should fear," Kol stated, a small smirk on his lips. Jordanna, though, wasn't paying mind to the conversation properly ━ her eyes were on Elena at all times, watching the Gilbert closely.

She watched as the doppelganger mumbled something to the original before she left them. "Kol," Jordanna warned him lowly as she watched him make himself comfortable.

"Calm down, will you?" The Mikaelson whispered.

"This doesn't feel right, okay? This is a trap, I swear to God. We should leave."

Kol rolled his eyes at her words, "you're being paranoid, Anna."

        "Kol, I'm telling you-"

Kol rose from his seat with a sigh, picking up a picture of Elena and Jeremy. "We'll be fine." Jordanna sighed, running her tongue along her teeth anxiously. No matter how much she wanted to, she wouldn't leave him here. Not on his own, especially if she thought Elena was up to something.

"So, we're out of Gin, but I think this is a good year," Elena announced looking down at the label on a bottle of wine as she made her way back into the room.

"What if I said I don't believe you?" Kol questioned, his gaze locked onto the picture frame.

"Okay, you caught me. I don't know anything about wine," Elena shrugged playfully.

"Idiot," Jordanna mumbled, catching the attention of the doppelganger. "He means about you giving up the cure."

"I would do anything for my brother," Elena spoke, looking at the witch nervously. "And if what you're saying about Silas is true, what does it matter what I want, if it puts everyone else in danger?"

Kol and Jordanna shared a look before the Mikaelson spoke, breaking the loud silence, "well, this has been enlightening. Thanks for━"

"Thanks for nothing," Jordanna butted in, smiling falsely at the girl as she and Kol made their way out the door.

Elena began to panic as the pair made their way to the door.

"I'll take your request for a truce under advisement," Kol informed her with a nod as he and Jordanna stepped outside.

"Is there any chance you could be wrong about Silas?" Elena spit out in question, hoping to delay the two.

Kol turned to her as Jordanna made her way down the porch steps. "Trust me, Elena. Some things are better left buried."

"I'm sorry," Elena told her brother as he stepped back inside the house, shot gun in hand. "They left. I mean, I- I tried to stall as long as I could."

Just as the youngest Gilbert opened his mouth to speak, the blaring sound of the doorbell rang, not even a second later.

"That's her," Jeremy informed his sister with the whereabouts of Damon's witch friend they had called. "She was right behind me."

Elena nodded, opening the front door to greet the unknown witch only to find Kol stood there, anger evident in his eyes. Jordanna sluggishly chased after him up the porch steps, curse words flying from her lips as she cussed Kol and his stupid choices out. Maybe she was dumb for joining him ... but like I said, she wouldn't leave him alone, not with Elena.

"We've considered your request for a truce," Kol voiced.

"Request denied," Jordanna clicked her tongue against the bridge of her mouth.

"I'm sorry, I've already been invited in!" Kol yelled as Elena slammed the door in his face. The Mikaelson easily kicked the door open, the witch following after him into the house only to find no fucking trace of the Gilbert siblings.

"Hide and seek?" Jordanna hummed. "You know how much I used to love this game, 'Lena."

The witch sent Kol a nod before the two separated, aimlessly wandering around the house not knowing what the hell was coming.

Her manicured nails ran along the interior of the kitchen counter as she sauntered around the house, her head snapping up as the sound of banging came from upstairs.

"Found you," Jordanna sang out eerily as she made her exit of the kitchen, her body pulling her up the narrow stairs.

Her head consciously swivelled round as she took in her surroundings ━ empty hallway.

          Boring.

Just as the witch went to push the bathroom door open a searing pain in her thigh caused her to pause her actions as a disgruntled sound left her lips.

"Shit," the witch whispered, looking down at her bloody leg ━ a glass shard hanging out of it.

She looked up with a deep breath as Jeremy Gilbert stood in front of her, a conflict of emotions running across his face.

"That was rude," Jordanna narrowed her eyes before she went for him.

Her fists going at his face as the two fought ━ never in a million years did she think she'd end up fighting a sixteen year old boy, but here we are.

Her hands were clasped tightly against his neck as his grasped at her wrists, pulling and pushing in attempt to get her off.

"I think I'm gonna start from the inside out with you," Jordanna whispered, her breath tickling his face. She ignored the pain shooting up from her leg as the glass dug into her skin ━ she had watched enough Grey's Anatomy to know that if she took the shard out there would be a possibility of her bleeding out.

She really didn't want or need that happening.

"I'm gonna cut off your tongue so I can't hear your incessant screaming when I gut you," she smiled. "Then I'm gonna skin you, maybe turn you into a coat for Elena. She can wear it in her fucking casket after I kill her━"

Though, sadly, before she could finish her threats, a tug pulled at her scalp as Elena attempted to drag the witch off of her brother. Jordanna grunted in surprise at the action, she stumbled slightly before throwing her elbow backwards, the bone colliding with Elena's face sending the brunette tumbling down the stairs with a thump.

Just as Jeremy moved to attack the Jones she shot her hand out, his body flew back through his bedroom door and he landed on a heap on the floor. Jordanna tilted her head, cracking her neck as she stepped into the room through the hole in the door. The witch grunted as she grabbed a hold of the shard of glass in her leg and sharply pulled it out with a short breath.

She held her hand out to her leg and watched as the skin slowly stitched itself back together before she lifted her foot in haste, sending a kick across Jeremy's face. Blood splattered from his mouth as her stiletto met his teeth.

The raven haired witch grabbed him by his t-shirt and lifted him up, dragging his weakened body up the wall. Her hand grasped onto the glass shard so tightly, it drew blood from herself, but she didn't pay much mind to it as she drew the sharp tip of the glass across the Gilbert's cheek.

The Gilbert winced, attempting to shift his face away from the glass when his sister sped into the room, grabbing Jordanna by the shoulders she threw her across the room, her body slamming against the wall. The Jones let out an agitated scream and threw her hand out towards the door, slamming it shut before she began throwing random ornaments from atop Jeremy's cabinet at the pair as they tried to manoeuvre out of the room.

"Go!" Elena yelled at her brother as they dodged an incoming lamp. The Gilbert barely sent her a nod in acknowledgement before he went to move.

Allowing her brother the chance to get out, Elena once again sped over to Jordanna, hands clasped around the raven haired girl's wrists before she could throw something else at them. Her choice of item right now being a hockey stick. They both yelled out as Jordanna's grasp on the old hockey stick grew tighter, to the point her knuckles went snow white.

Jordanna brought her knee up and it met Elena's stomach, the brunette doubled over, hand curling around her stomach instinctively. The Jones gripped the hockey stick and swung it towards Elena's face. The Gilbert girl spat crimson at the floor before she turned her head and sent it knocking right into Jordanna's.

The Jones stumbled back at the action before she shot her fist out, her knuckles meeting Elena's cheekbone, her rings caused the skin to split. Jordanna then brought down the hockey stick to her knee, snapping it in half before she kicked Elena in the back of her legs, causing her legs to quiver beneath her and she dropped to her knees.

Just as Jordanna lifted the makeshift stake, a hand grabbed it and threw it across the room before they lifted her body and threw her over their shoulder and out the room. Jordanna fidgeted in Jeremy's hold once she recognised his tattoo's peaking out of his t-shirt and she balled her hands into fists and drummed them against his back harshly.

The Gilbert boy attempted to drag Jordanna down the stairs, but her hands latched onto the corner of the wall tightly, using her grip to her advantage she reached up for the top of the doorframe and pulled her body up, her legs now wrapped around Jeremy's neck. Just as the Jones went to move her hips in a sharp motion, the Gilbert sunk his teeth into her thigh.

"Fucking Christ!" Jordanna screamed out in shock and mild pain. The Gilbert boy sauntered forward and Jordanna's back collided with the wall opposite the bannister for the stairs. It was just then Elena reappeared, and she did the first thing that came to mind as she saw her brother slowly losing air.

She pushed him down the stairs. Sending Jordanna with him.

Of course, she grabbed her brother before too much harm could come to him. The two siblings peered over the top of the bannister, staring down at the witch at the bottom of the stairs as crimson slowly poured from her head.

       "Crap."

       "Yeah ... crap."

"You didn't kill her, did you?"

Jordanna woke with a groan, her head was banging. Her leg hurt like a bitch, so overall life sucked.

She pushed her body up against the wall of the Gilbert house, her head lolled aside as she felt something trickle down the side of her face. Just as she reached up ━ to investigate what the fuck had happened to her, she couldn't.

        What the Hell?

Her head moved slowly, the pounding in her brain slowing her actions as she peered down to look at her hands. Are you fucking-?

Her bloodied hands were clasped together in those weird witchy handcuff things.

        Are you taking the piss?

Jordanna took a deep breath as she tried to pull her body up from the ground, through failing miserably as she fell on her ass.

"Stop being a fucking pussy," she mumbled to herself as the ache in her legs worsened. "Get up, you stupid bitch."

And now she was talking to herself, ew.

The witch gulped as she ignored the pain all over her body and shuffled against the wall, bringing herself to stand.

"Aha!" The witch exclaimed before she stumbled.

Her ears burned at the sound of voices coming from downstairs, of course, that stupid part of her body pulled her down there.

As she stumbled down the stairs she couldn't help but think she was that dumb girl in the beginning of a horror movie that dies.

        Anyway.

"Kol," Jordanna hissed quietly as she slowly made her way through the living room, her injuries weakening her.

She paused breifly at the grunts coming from the kitchen, though when she caught sight of the scene before her she wished she stayed unconscious.

"Shit! Kol!" Jordanna screamed out as she watched Jeremy drive the white oak stake into his heart. Her ears only being able to hear the antagonizing screams leaving Kol's lips as he burst into flames.

Elena's head turned at the cries of protest coming from the witch before she sped to her as Jordanna attempted to run at Kol, Elena's arms wrapped around her, holding her back from stopping something she couldn't.

"No! Fuck, Kol!" Jordanna fought against Elena as the original staggered through the kitchen, thrashing about as his pained screams filled her ears before he dropped to the floor. But then, it stopped.

        It stopped.

        He just stopped.

A pained scream left Jordanna as she stumbled, tears falling down her face. "Wake up, Kol! This isn't funny, asshole. Get up!"

This was her fault, if only she had been there and not bested by the fucking Gilberts.

"What did you do?" Jordanna screeched, turning to Elena in seething anger. In one quick motion the handcuffs wrapped around the doppelgangers neck, Elena's choking being the only sound she could hear other than the memories of Kol's screams.

Elena spluttered, coughing against the witch as her hands tugged at the handcuffs around her in hope of getting them off, but the Gilbert, forgetting her own strength, broke them.

Fear crawled up the doppelganger's spine as Jordanna's bound wrists snapped apart, Elena gulped as Jordanna looked down at her hands before her eyes dragged up to Elena's face.

In one fast movement Jordanna's hand was in Elena's chest, her delicate hand tightly wrapped around the doppelgangers heart.

        "Jordanna━"

The witch pulled Elena's body closer, their faces merely inches apart as she spoke. "You're gonna' rot in fucking Hell, you spiteful little bitch."

"Jordanna, please," Elena begged weakly as Jeremy hesitantly lifted his cross bow, aiming it at the witch.

"You hurt her and I will kill you," Jeremy threatened, taking a step closer.

Jordanna's head lolled to the side, a nasty look spread across her face as she stared at the boy. Her eyes narrowed as she watched him fall to the floor, clutching his head in pain.

        "Jordanna! Stop!"

The witches grip on Elena's heart tightened as she turned to face the girl again, "say hi to mommy and daddy for me, Lena."

Just as the witch went to jolt her hand out of Elena's chest a familiar whisper fell on her ears. She turned her head to the doorway only to find a tearful Klaus, his gaze solely on his brother's dead body.

"Kol," Klaus mumbled, his voice breaking slightly before his eyes fell on the witch.

Taking note of her distraction Elena shoved Jordanna off of her when her grip on her heart loosened, freeing her and her brother of the witch's hold.

The witch fell to the floor as the doppelganger pushed her away, she had never fell so weak in her life.

        She felt embarrassed.

Blood trickled from her head, a crimson stain ran down the side of her face, whilst her knuckles were busted, tear streaks stained her cheeks as blood covered her thigh and below, shards of glass from her fall dug deeper in her skin as she moved, she knew she could remove them now ... Klaus could heal her but she felt as though she deserved it, she knew something was up but she still let herself and Kol come.

She deserved to feel guilty, to feel pain.

"What did you do?" Klaus demanded, clenching his jaw as the two Gilberts stepped towards him ━ his eyes flickering between his dead brother and the fragile figure of the woman he loved.

"We didn't have a choice. He was trying to cut off Jeremy's arm," Elena poorly defended, gesturing to her brother.

"Lies! He never would've gotten inside if you hadn't set a trap for him," Klaus spoke harshly, his eyes filled with rage.

"You said you were going to put him down too," Elena gulped.

Jordanna scoffed from her place on the ground, "you really think he was going to kill his brother?"

       "I-"

"I was going to make him suffer on my terms!" Klaus yelled out before he took a deep breath, "I'm going to burn this house to the ground. And then, when you try flee for your lives, I'll kill you both without blinking."

"You kill us, you'll never get the cure," Jeremy spoke, the fear evident on his face.

Jordanna snorted in a delirious manner, pain shot up her body. "You think he really gives a shit about the cure? You just killed his brother, fuckwit." She rose to her feet slowly, grabbing onto the table to keep herself secure as she pulled herself towards the three in the door way as a sharp searing pain erupted in the witch's skull causing her to cry out, stumbling aside.

"Invite him in," an unfamiliar voice called out causing all heads to turn to a ginger bitch. "Do it!"

         Who the fuck ...?

Klaus looked between everyone, the need to kill them, to get vengeance is strong but he needed to get to Jordanna.

"Come in," Jeremy spoke after a moment of hesitation.

Klaus fell forward as the unknown witch pulled him inside the Gilbert house, immobilising him with her magic, Klaus' yells rang through Jordanna's ears making her look up to face him before her body was flung into the living room, her back crashing into the wall.

"Living room!" Witch bitch commanded. "Go!"

The Gilbert siblings ran through the living room and into the kitchen. Klaus was quick to follow only to be cut off by an invisible wall trapping him and the Jones witch. Jeremy pulled the stake from Kol's body before he and Elena ran down the hallway ━ making their way to the door.

"Witch!" Klaus gritted his teeth as the orange haired woman stood in front of them. "You can't do this to us."

"You have no idea what I can do," the unknown, older woman smirked smugly.

Jordanna coughed, blood sputtering from her mouth as she glared at the witch. "Just wait until I get out, you're gonna wish I was dead you stupid bitch."

The witch snorted, "oh, honey, what are you gonna do?"

"Vedrai," Jordanna spat as Jeremy, Elena and the new witch rushed out the house.
