"What I wouldn't give for an Icee!" Jake whined as he wiped the sweat off of his face.

I sighed, moving a chess piece across the board.

"Me too. What flavor?" I asked him as he moved a piece as well.

He scrunched up his face in concentration.

"Blue raspberry." he said finally.

"Seriously? Not strawberry?" I asked, grinning.

"Dude, I'm allergic, no." he said with an are-you-kidding-me look on his face.

I laughed at his expression until a loud knock at the door interrupted us.

"The doctor wants to see you, Jake." Katie said from the doorway, her white mask resting on the collar of her shirt.

"Okay, thanks, Katie." he said as he got up from the floor and brushed past her.

She bit her lip flirtily at him but he didn't' seem to notice. I just rolled my eyes. She'd been flirting with him ever since we'd been quarantined. As she walked back out the door, my mind returned to the earlier conversation Jake and I had been having.

2 hours later...

I grinned to myself as I began mixing up the ice in the cafeteria.

"Hey! There you are!" Jake said suddenly from behind me, concern etched on his face.

I jumped at the sound and smiled when I saw it was Jake.

"Oh, hey, yeah I came down here to work on a little surprise for you," I said, sheepishly as I leaned my back against the counter.

He sighed in relief as he took off his helmet and lied it down.

"I thought you were...never mind. What are you doing?' he asked as he walked over to me.

I held up a bag of ice triumphantly. He looked at me with a puzzled expression.

"You said you wanted an Icee, right?" I asked, mischievously.

"Yeah but how are you...?" he trailed off as I gestured to the ice machine by the refrigerator.

"And the flavor for it?" he grinned, crossing his arms.

"Well...this is all I could find for that." I said, holding up a bag of Pixy Sticks.

He stepped closer to me and pressed his lips to mine. And just like every time he kissed me, I felt electricity shoot through my body. I smiled into the kiss and so did he until we both broke away laughing.

"I'll help you make them." Jake said softly, gently tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

30 minutes later...

"Ahhhh..." Jake mumbled as he sipped his blue Icee out of a white paper cup.

"As good as name brand?" I teased, nudging his shoulder playfully.

He grinned and bumped his cup with mine.

"Better." he chuckled.
