6- Kill.Fault.

Since the pain was gone, I started looking from place to place trying to figure out where to go next. My body and mind were restless, full of adrenaline and my heartbeat was racing like never before. Suddenly, a click of a tongue caught my attention and I turned around.

"Don't be scared..." The shadow brought its finger towards its lips and whispered a long, soft, yet inhumane shush. It guided me to look on the ground, not far from the rock that used to be a "pillow" a few moments ago. I hesitated and wanted to look back at it or simply oppose from its actions, yet it seemed that my body would not react to my commands. That scared me but not more than the sight of a sharp, jade knife on the ground did. Once again, the whisper brushed my ears: "It is all his fault... Kill. Fault."

I repeated after it without thinking. "Kill. Fault." I bend slowly to pick the knife up and gripped it tightly, a chuckle resonating from behind and by the time the shadow dissipated, I felt a hard pain in my body again and fell to the ground. My eyes closed and I slipped into an unconscious state that heavily pulled me into a somewhat abyss of dreams. I didn't know how much time has passed until I woke up again, this time still having my head on the rock, nothing changed around and the same darkness of the night lurking around. It shouldn't have been too long, right?

I shook my head and blinked the diziness away, hugging myself and grunting in pain while moving even a little bit. I inhaled and endured the pain enough to sit up and lean against the tree. While looking around, I could distinquish only the campus I have left, pretty far away, the distance making me slightly amazed with myself. Heh, adrenaline is no joke, isn't it? My eyes went down as I chuckled to myself, instatly getting attracted by the green-ish shine. The knife. I hesitated, but picked it up and the moment I did so, my hand somehow clenched on it by itself, my vision turning a little darker, colors appearing darker too. And in my ears, the same voice echoed: "Kill. Fault."

I got up without a pain, the wounds bleeding still. "Kill. Fault." The words kept running over and over in my mind and I was whispering them while heading through the woods, almost as if I knew the way back to the city.

Probably, I didn't know the way, because after some time, the animalistic howls of wolves turned my attention back to the dark forest. I waited and listened to the shuffle of the bushes and the leaves under their supposedly fast-moving feet. "Hmm.. from the left." The voice whispered and I turned my head to that direction, a second ago from being bitten and tackled by a wolf. I poked its chest with the knife and the voice continued to give me instructions about all the attackers, until I was standing in the middle of a whimpering, wounded pack of wolves. "Proud..."

I smiled senselessly, corrupted by the force of the shadow, my body moving by itself once again, feet taking me, supposedly, to the city.

*Flashback*

How was I supposed to get out of here...
I was thinking to myself the whole night, my hands tied with a soft black shoelace, but still digging into my wrists. The attic was cold, my nose was smelling something old and the atmosphere was something I could only recognize in horror movies. Namjoon lied to the others saying I was out with friends and that I would get so mad if they call, because we were watching a movie. The others knew this has happened before, and it really did, but it was in the past and Namjoon was using it to earn their trust. My mind was turning into a mess just by thinking of all this, anger mixing with fear and frustration. I couldn't move my hands, my neck being harshly tied to the wall as well. The others left saying they would go out too, Namjoon excusing himself for cleaning.

I only listened to them and then closed my eyes, biting my lips when I heard Namjoon's steps coming back up.

By the time I opened my eyes, a splash of cold water came on my whole face, then another on my body and I could barely hold back from screaming.
"What happened? Wasn't I enough clear about you sleeping?"

I tried to open my eyes, yet yet kept stinging and I closed them back, my mind picturing the smirking figure of the older, but my body struggling in the background, the image darkening.

*End of flashback*

The words kept repeating: "no sleeping". I shook my head and felt the transition between the real world and the dream world being heavy and slow like a boulder falling. There was a pinch of truth, because the one falling and sinking was me. The bridge I have seen a while back, I was walking on it at that time, a mistook step and the walk turned into a free fall. The water was cold, deep, so I kept sinking. When I was fully awake, I could see the dark water and a small bright, warm light above. I forced myself to the surface and struggled to swim to the docks, catching a net of a boat which was passing through, climbing up on it a little, still cautious for the people. I was skeptical about humans at this point, knowing that the so called "rescuers" tried to take me away from my "goal".
At that time I didn't realize the goal was set by a possessing shadowy being, my mind thinking "on its own" and ruling my body as well. The will to kill the man was growing like a fiery desire, and by the time I got to the docks, I climbed off the boat, pushed myself up on the little bridge and ran to the city.

"Kill. Fault." Again and again, I kept repeating the words until the roads took me to the old house. When I got there, it was dark again. "Perfect" The voice said and pushed me again, making me get closer to the entrance. I thought a bit and made my way to the window, knowing that on the right side was Namjoon's working room, right on the ground floor. I peeked through the window and saw his head on the table, a loose blanket on his shoulders, presumingly asleep. "Kill."

I whispered to myself while forcing the window open from the outside, managing to budge it up. "Kill.... Fault..." I whimpered in pain when the wound held me back from climbing the window frame at first. But the second time, I managed and I slipped inside. I looked at him and hid instantly when I heard footsteps. The hiding spot was rashly chosen, right by the bed. When the person stepped in, he whispered to Namjoon. "Hey... you asleep?"

I recognized it as Jin's voice, however I bit my lips and stood there without moving. The light wasn't on, only the small beam coming from Namjoon's screen. I gripped the knife tighter, getting ready in case anything happened.

"Hm?"
"Come on, let's get you to the bedroom."

They both walked out and I didn't hesitate to get up and follow them to the bedroom, making sure they would not see me walking up the stairs. They were already inside the room by the time I got in the 2nd floor's hallway. I had to hide, and quickly. I dashed to the bathroom and hid there in the dark, waiting for Jin to pass, then sneaking towards the bedroom door where Namjoon was in. I didn't hear the gasp coming from the stairs, but the handle of the door moving from inside surely got my attention.

"HUH!? JUNGKOOK?!"

To be continued...
