SUMMER'S P.O.V

Milan, Italy | 8:30AM

The moment I've been waiting for is finally here. The flight here was a little over twelve hours which I hated because I knew everyone's sleep schedule would be thrown off. I was extremely nervous for today and just hoped that everything goes great. I was now in the living room of our suite eating breakfast with the kids since I wouldn't see them until later today. Due to everyone's schedule being so crazy Ma,Myah and the kids were the only ones that came to Milan with me. Although I really wanted Demetrius to be here I just pushed my feelings to the back of my mind so I could focus.

"Were you able to get any sleep last night?" Myah came into the living room with her hands full of items she was packing into her bag for today.

"Just a little bit, I slept on the flight yesterday so I was kind of up all night jus thinking" I shrugged.

"Hmm okay Miss Overthinker I know how you are. I can't wait to see you in action today I know how much this means to you. Im Prada you" She winked at me in reference to her corny joke she just told.

"Bringing up Prada while were representing Dolce and Gabbana this week is crazy" I gave a small laugh and looked down at my phone seeing the anxious text messages from Nikole.

Did you land yet? How is the weather? Call me when you get a chance so I can see the looks.

                                                                      Me:

Yes we landed last night. We are 6 hours ahead so why aren't you sleep? I will call you later and update you on how the first day went.

Me:

Well honestly im nervous just because this is an important moment however I am a little sad that everyone isn't here to experience it 😩.

When? Because he went out last night with Myles and the other guys?

Once Myah and I made it to the D&G headquarters I was completely in Awe. Everything was exactly how I imagined it. Upon Meeting Domenico and Stefano I could literally feel my cheeks burning from smiling so much. To be in the same creative space as them was a dream come true.

I spent most of the day giving my input on the runway looks and making any changes as needed. I felt very confident giving my opinions as most of them were accepted by the team. Myah took plenty of notes and was very consistent and helpful throughout the day which I really appreciated.

By the end of the night I felt so relieved knowing that the hard part was done and we were officially ready for the first runway show tomorrow evening. "Thank You both again for this opportunity" I gave both Domenico and Stefano hugs as Myah packed up the rest of our things.

"No thank you! Were glad to have you with us. I can't wait for you to see the rest of the experiences this week" Domenico smiled as we headed out the door.

"Thank You" I nodded at Big E who held the door open for Myah and I. As apart of our experience we were provided security for the family however I wouldn't feel right if I didn't have Big E with us.

Once we were in the car. I dug into my purse and turned 'do not disturb' off. Watching as all of my notifications roll through I had an unusual amount of mentions on Instagram. Deciding to open the app I seen a lot of pictures were from Paparazzi and included Myah and I entering and exiting the D&G Headquarters earlier. Going through more of my notifications I seen that the blog "TeaTalks" tagged me in a picture I took with my team earlier. Of Course people in the comments were coming for me, per usual.

TeaTalks: Looks like our favorite stylist Summer Williams, is enjoying herself in Italy for FashionWeek22'! The people has noticed she isn't wearing her engagement ring in this picture posted on her story this morning. What's the Tea? 👀👀Summer what are you trying to tell us. Is it FNF season or nah?

I liked Taina's comment and then closed the app, I was one hundred percent serious about not letting anything or anyone ruin my mood. When we got back to the suite I sat my stuff down and went to go take a shower. While in the shower I couldn't help but to think about all of the obstacles in life that could've stopped me from getting to where I am right now. Thinking about other times where I wanted to quit because I didn't think I would get far in this career always hovered over my mind. I applaud myself for never giving up and seeing the potential.

Thinking of the people that played parts in those 'obstacles' in my life always haunted me. Since the last time I seen Dj at my shop I haven't heard from him again. Which was good in regards to my safety but it also always crossed my mind what happened to him.

My thoughts continued to take over my mind even after I was done in the shower. I went into the room and changed into my short set and tied my hair into a bun. Hearing my phone ring I quickly went to pick it up since the kids were in my bed sleep.

"Heyy" I smiled while answering the phone for Demetrius

"What you up to?" His tone sounded off but I didn't pay any mind to it.

"I was just getting ready to go to bed. I have a full day tomorrow it's not as busy as today but still" I sat at the edge of the bed.

"Word? You gone be too busy to wear your ring tomorrow or nah?"

I moved the phone from my ear and looked at it with a irritated face because he couldn't be serious right now.

"Please don't tell me you think I purposely didn't wear it today. I was busy and doing too much I forgot to get it out of the safe"  Which was the truth, since I was moving around all morning I honestly forgot to get it and with the amount of work I did today it probably wouldn't have been a good idea with the material possibly been an headache if it were to get snagged on my ring.

"You waited till you left the country to start taking it off. You work all the time with it on while you here come on now"

"I'm not understanding why you want to argue with me right now. I told you why I took it off so let's just leave it at that. You're doing too much Meech" I was already exhausted from the day I've had and to end it like this was the last thing I imagined.

"Man whatever Summer. If I would've done something like that you would've been mad as hell"

I calmed myself down before responding "You can believe what you want I don't even care anymore. If you're so worried about what I'm doing you should've been here...Anyways I'm going to sleep so I'll talk to you when I get back home"

"When you get back home?"

"Yes when I get back home especially if every phone call will be just like this one besides I have a lot to do the next few days" I pulled the covers back and got in the bed.

"Yeah see you out there being sneaky as fuck yo"

I was now fed up with the conversation "You're so delusional Demetrius it doesn't even make sense. Goodnight sir" I hung up on him and placed my phone on do not disturb because I needed as much sleep as I could get.

Three Days Later

Excited, Overwhelmed, exhausted, and accomplished were the main words to explain how my experience has been. I was grateful for the opportunity and even spoke about possible collabs and working together for next year's campaign. Last night was our dinner to celebrate and I was given the opportunity to make a toast which was brief but Domenico and Stefano followed up as they honored me and my work.

We were now just landing in Atlanta and since we would only be here for twenty-four hours I had a few things I needed to do. Upon exiting the jet I dug into my purse and pulled out my personal phone I turned off for the remaining days of Fashion Week. I wasn't missing much since most of the people I needed to communicate with were stored into my work phone.

The notifications rolled in from Demetrius of course. Many of the messages were of him apologizing and begging me to unblock his number from my work phone. The other messages were obviously sent when he was mad. It was like one minute he was cold and the next minute he was hot. Acting like he's a damn Gemini.

After separating at the airport I dropped Kayla off with her Dad for the night and then headed home to take a shower and change. I then put Dylan down for a nap and started to empty out our bags so I could pack some things I wanted to have in the LA house. The cleaner we hired was here also.

"Do you want me to put those things in the laundry?" She asked referring to the pile of clothes I had in the middle of the closet.

"No it's okay, You've done enough already" I gave her a smile as she nodded and went back to cleaning the kitchen.

I heard the front door open and then Demetrius appeared in the room "So you wasn't gone tell me you was back?"

I continued folding the clothes avoiding eye contact with him. "I literally just got back like an hour ago.. but how has your week been?"

"I mean I wasn't able to talk to you so it has been kind of fucked up"

"Oh wow that's crazy..Were you out in LA being sneaky?" I shrugged reiterating the same accusations he had about me.

"You got jokes huh.. I see you put your ring back on"

I looked down at my hand pretending to be shocked "Oh no how'd that get that there...Today is my sneaky day I forgot to take it off" I laughed and looked at my phone that lit up with some notifications from Instagram. Smiling at the DM I received I replied and then stood up. "Okay I need you to wake Dylan up in about a hour.. I have to go take care of something"

"Damn you just got back where you going?" He came into the closet pulling me into a hug.

I laid my head on his chest and sighed "I need to go handle some business"

"What business?"

I looked up at him "Damn you being nosey" I kissed his cheek. "I'll be back around eight or nine I promise" I went back into the room and grabbed my purse and keys and then headed out to the garage. I called Nikole to catch her up with everything that happened in Italy while I drove to my destination.

"You've been driving for a while I thought you were going to the old shop" Nikole squinted at the camera.

"Nope I'm going somewhere else" I smiled looking down at camera and then back up to the road.

"Let me see" her screen showed that I was paused while she did whatever it was. "Hmm you think you're slick I can't see your location... Let me find out"

"There's nothing to find out" I pulled up to the driveway "I will call you back as soon as I'm back in LA.. You should come with me too and bring my nephew"

"I will think about it, I have hella orders to fulfill but we will see. Talk to you later"

Once I hung up, I went to my contact pressing the call button.

"Hey Duke I'm outside"
