SUMMER'S POV~

A huge wave of sorrow hovered over the crowd of people watching as Trey's casket was lowered into the ground. The sound of faint cries was the only thing you could hear. Other than my auntie I've never had anyone close to me die so this feeling was something new. I was a baby when my grandparent's passed and could barely even remember my aunt's funeral due to me being so young.

I looked over at Demetrius, even though he had on shades I could tell he was zoned out. I held on to his arm tight.

"Thank you guys so much for coming" Trey's mother approached us giving us hugs. "Of course, we loved Trey so much" I hugged her back.

"Let us know if you need anything, seriously anything." Demetrius said while hugging her.

"Thanks, Demetrius. It's been a rough two weeks but I'm just glad to see so many people here that really cared for my son" Trey's mother went over to Tarra and gave her a hug.

After finishing our conversation with his mother we decided to head back to Demetrius's penthouse to change. "You sure you wanna stay here" he asked while going to go lay Kayla down in her room since she fell asleep in the car.

"Yeah I'll be fine baby, I promise" I was going to stay behind while he went to go catch up with some of his family and friends who still lived here. "I'll actually be here with your mom, she insisted that she comes over to spend some time with us" I went into the kitchen and pulled out my phone to look up the nearest grocery stores since we would be here for another week. Meech had some things to wrap up here before going to Atlanta and I figured we would just stay with him.

I had an incoming Facetime from my girls which I happily accepted since I've been so busy and haven't seen them since the family day we had at Nikole's house. "Oh my god look at all of my babies" I smiled into the phone seeing Emmy,Essex and Sincere. After about thirty minutes on the phone with the girls, Demetrius finally came out of our room dressed down in Chrome Hearts.

I said my goodbyes to Taina and Nikole before turning my attention to him. "You look good, as always" I extended my arms out to him so he could give me hug before leaving. "Thanks Beautiful" he said before leaning down to kiss me.

"I'm sending Big E with yall today" he said.

"I don't think that'll be necessary" I lightly smiled

I appreciated that he always wanted to ensure that we were safe whenever he wasn't around. "It's not really up for debate Summer" He said in a serious tone.

"Okay, okay" I playfully rolled my eyes "Don't stay out too long and don't do anything stupid" I looked into his eyes to let him know I as serious.

"You know I can't promise you that. But here take these" he reached into his pocket giving me the key to his Lamb truck. This was the only car he had here since his others were in Atlanta.

"Ouu someone's woke and active" I grabbed his hand so he could feel the baby kicking. We cancelled the gender reveal last week as it was so much going on and I wanted to focus on being there for him while he was grieving the loss of his friend. I told Ma that she could just tell me the gender and we would still be happy but she insisted on telling us when we least expect it, which was fine with me.

"Damn he going crazy in there"

"You mean SHE is going crazy in there" I made sure to put emphasis on the 'she'

He kissed my stomach and whispered "Your mom doesn't know what she's talking about" he then stood back up straight giving me another kiss "I love you, I gotta go"

"I love you more" I followed him to the front door. I honestly didn't want him to leave but I think he definitely needs to be out having fun because the past two weeks he hasn't been himself. It wasn't that he was sad but he seemed out of it.

Later that night

I held my phone in one hand while pushing the cart with the other. I was currently in Whole foods grabbing a few things to have in the house. Demetrius insisted on hiring a maid and cook for the short time we were here but they wouldn't start until Monday.

"That's so good to hear, I can't thank you enough" I said fixing my airpods into my ear while talking to Myah. Since I was taking a break from work she offered to pick up some major clients and would continuing working and organizing pieces for them.

I grabbed a few more items before going to go check out. I noticed a few packs of candy was added into the cart Kayla's sneaky ass must've put them in there when I wasn't looking. Big E laughed once he seen what I was looking at.

"I was waiting on you to notice what she was doing. My daughters used to pull the same thing whenever we went to a store"

I shook my head taking out my card and paying for the groceries. "I should've known because whenever she is too quiet she's doing something. She usually would ask or beg me for something but I guess she had other plans"

Big E let me lead the way as I pushed the cart to the parking lot. "I know how that goes. I took one of my kids to Auto zone before and she still asked for something"

I laughed as we approached the car and he started to load the groceries while I strapped the Kayla in. "How are your daughters and wife anyway? You need to bring them around the next time we do a cookout"

"We definitely coming to the next one but they're doing good. My oldest is graduating the spring and heading to college I ain't ready to let her go" he finished and closed the trunk

"As you should no parent is ever ready to see them officially grow up. But She is smart and Im sure she will do well. Please remind us when she graduates I will definitely come to the graduation party" I smiled as he held my door open so I could get in.

"Will do. I'm right behind ya" He closed the door and went to go hop into his black suv. As we headed back to the penthouse he made sure to stay directly behind me. Pulling up to the garage entrance it detected the key connected to the windshield. Kayla and I sang along to 'Price of Fame' by Brent Faiyaz

After we got back inside I went into kitchen to put the groceries up and looked down seeing Fluffy right by my feet. "Nope get out, out of the kitchen" I scooted him out of the kitchen. That's a big no for me.

Hearing the front door open and close I seen Tarra pop into the kitchen. "Hey beautiful you need a hand? I got it" She quickly sat her purse down and gave me a hug before grabbing the last bag from me. I loved Demetrius's mom so much she brought such a comforting feeling around, the same feeling I get from my own mom.

Once she was done she came and sat on the couch watching Real Housewives with me as we also talked about the baby.After it fell into a comfortable silence I spoke up. "Can I ask you a question?" I have been able to have plenty of deep down conversations with Tarra

She nodded taking her attention off of the tv. "Of course sweetie, what's wrong?"

MEECH~

KOD| 1:30AM

Music played throughout the club as people danced around. I was with Amirah, some of my cousins and Tia. Earlier we was chilling and shit in our old hood, how did we end up in KOD was a good question that I couldn't answer.

"Still the same ole Meech" Tia laughed referring to me rolling up another wood. Although I had a cup I wasn't really a drinker, weed was my real therapy.

"Hell Yeah. You know I'll never change" I cracked a smile.

A group of girls approached the section and Big E immediately moved in front. "It's cool let em through" I nodded at him. Big E pulled up on me once he said Summer and Kayla was back in the house.

"We didn't want to bother you we just want a picture" One of the girls said. I could tell they were young probably using fake id's and shit.

I smiled and nodded "Yall good, come on" Once they took their pictures one of them  eyed Tia and then looked at me "Is Summer here?"

"Oh my god yesss I love her work." Her friend joined in

I shook my head smiling. My shorty got fans. "Nah she not even here but I'll tell her what yall said" Speaking of Summer Im about to get on her ass about not answering her phone earlier and not texting me back. Call me clingy I don't care I wanted to hear from her every hour of the day.

Once the group of girls were gone I lit the wood and took a few hits before passing it to Tia who was now quiet and deep into her phone.

"You good?"

"Huh" she looked up and grabbed the wood "Yeah I'm cool" she was saying yeah but her eyes and demeanor was saying 'no'

Before I could respond Amirah interrupted "Come on yall we taking another shot" she started pouring a shot in everybody cup.

"Nah Yall taking another shot. I'm about to head out in a minute" I shook my head.

I got up dapped everybody before turning to Tia "You needed a ride back to your spot right?"

She nodded before finishing her cup and getting up to say bye to everyone.

Amirah came over to me "Aye don't do nothing stupid" she gestured her eyes to Tia and then back to me "Im deadass"

"You know I don't even do shit like that" I shook my head

"Cap" she said with a straight face. "Nigga you're forgetting I've known you my whole life, I know how you get with these females" she laughed.

"Man whatever" I waved her off as I laughed too.

Making my way through the club with Big E, I felt Tia grab my arm so she wouldn't get caught in the crowd. I seen a few people pulling out their cameras and shit I didn't want the blogs assuming shit so I moved her in front of me before quickly moving my hands from around her. Not sure if that made it any better.

Once we were back in the car I could see Tia was back deeply into her phone instead this time she looked irritated. Big E got in the front seat as the driver pulled off.

"You cool over there?" I chuckled

She sighed sitting back in her seat "Yeah it's my ex. He knows I'm back in town and thinks threatening me is supposed to scare me or something"

"Damn, what type of shit he on with you?"

She shrugged "We broke up like a year and a half ago and he still won't leave me alone. Hence whenever I come home to Miami I stay only for a day or two and then quickly leave but for Trey's funeral I knew I would stay for a while, Trey was like family and I wanted to be here along with everyone" She looked out of the window avoiding eye contact.

"You ain't gotta go back to your moms house" I spoke up truthfully.

"Yeah I'm probably going to go to one of my friends house for the night. Until the morning I should be fine"

I turned towards her "How about this. You're only here for a few days let me put you in a hotel. I know you're stubborn so let me at least do that. As a friend" I made sure to the add the last part.

She nodded "As a friend" she smiled. "You know I can afford my own hotel right?"

"Yeah I know but you don't have to"

Once I gave the driver the address to the Four Seasons hotel he followed the directions. After checking her in Big E and I went upstairs with her and we just chilled. I of course told him he could go for the night.

I spent a little more time with Tia really getting to catch up with her and hear about how he life changed since college and shit. I was happy she was doing good in life and had goals that she was accomplishing.

I told her about how being on set feels and how my life was in the industry. I didn't realize how long we were talking until I happened to look at the time. I still haven't gotten a call from Summer but she did respond to the text from earlier. I know she was probably sitting up waiting on me to come home.

"Not gonna lie Ima head out, but look tomorrow if you not busy come out with Summer and I so yall could officially meet"

She smiled "Sounds good"
