Taina~ (Yall finally get a POV from her)

Boston, MA | 9:00PM

I let Nae drag me out for drinks in this cold ass city. Nae's parents and my parents knew each other for a long time due to them being rappers and reality tv stars. We were in Boston for a hosting she had tomorrow and since it wasn't far from New York I agreed to go with her "Umm Nae this does not look like a lounge where are we" I looked up at as our driver put the car in park.

"Chill Girl I told one of my friend's I would stop by really quick" she got out of the car fixing her skirt. I really was not up to going out to see anyone else. I actually wasn't in the mood to do anything. Herb was on tour and I was still speculating that he was cheating. Hell, the whole Atlanta was silently throwing the rumor around.

"Thank You" I nodded at the doorman who helped us inside. Nae spoke with someone at the front desk. Soon the person came around and used their keycard on the elevator that led us to one of the penthouses at the top. Of course someone was having a party and leave it to Nae to want to attend. "Hey!" she went around greeting everyone. For some reason I felt very short compared to most of the people here.

"Damn you bad" I heard someone say as I responded with a fake smile. Clearly not interested. "Don't be shy" I heard him say as I walked away with Nae.

I ended up in the kitchen, which in fact was beautiful. I already had a drink in my hand so I took a few sips and then pulled out my phone while waiting on Nae to finish conversing with everyone. I tried calling Herb and he didn't answer. I sighed and went to my messages seeing my mom sent a video of Essex hugging Emmy. It made me smile and I hearted the video.

"Those are your kids?" The same guy from earlier said now standing across from me, leaning on the island in the kitchen. I felt like I had to break my neck to look up at him because of how tall he was. "Yeah those are my babies, you following me?" I asked with a hint of attitude.

He put his hands up in defense "Nah not following you. I just seen you was over here by yourself while everybody else was enjoying themselves. my bad"

"Im good, just didn't expect to come to a party tonight I would've dressed different"

"Shit you look good as hell. Perfect outfit if you ask me"

I smirked "Well luckily I didn't ask you"

He put his hand over his heart "Damn you feisty. I love it" He stuck his hand out "Jayson" I swear I felt like I've seen him before. I couldn't quite remember but he does look familiar. I shook his hand "Taina"

"Well Taina, why you over here by yourself." He said now moving next to me. He smelled so good. "I like to be by myself most of the time it brings me peace usually"

"Yo JT we about to head out to this club come on man" Another tall guy said to him. "Okay cool"

I laughed "That's your nickname? Jt?" He smiled "Yeah it's short for my name Jayson Tatum"

"Hmm okay JT, well you might wanna head out.your friends look like they are about to leave" Just then Nae walked into the kitchen "Okay girl I'm ready... Ouuu what's going on over here" she pointed in between me and Jayson. "Girl nothing" I said before heading out of the kitchen

"Damn Taina, can I at least get your number before you leave" He said. I looked back "Sorry JT I'm in a relationship" I gave him a small smile. Once I waited for the elevator I looked back and didn't see Nae behind me. A few seconds later she appeared coming from the kitchen.

"Girl why is everyone here tall I asked her. Or am I tripping?" I laughed as we got on the elevator. "Girl most of them are basketball players you aren't tripping".

As we got into the car, I decided to go through my camera roll and upload a few new pictures to my Instagram

"Brandy that ain't got shit to do with me" She came over here for sympathy. She was on the path of being homeless and didn't want to get put out with her son. Her priorities were all messed up because she was at the club damn near every weekend.

"Meech I just need.."

"I don't care what you need get out Brandy" I cut her off

She stood up from the couch walking over to the door. "I can't believe you're acting like this. Is it because of that bitch"

"Don't call her no bitch Brandy"

"Hmm whatever you were just letting me give you head 2 weeks ago now you all in love. cut the bullshit. You know we locked in" She said opening the door. I told yall she was delusional I regretted even fucking with her.

I shrugged "You need to learn how to play yo role man" I laughed "You think I would really be with you or help you? I don't give a fuck about you. You should know that by now" I closed the door in her face.

1 week later|

I made it back to Atlanta yesterday and had to go straight to a hosting. I barely talked to Summer the past few days because I was busy. Plus I didn't get to make it to Orlando to see her because Business never stops. I decided to pull up to her house because I missed her.

I rang her doorbell twice and no body opened the door. I texted her phone "Yo You at home?"

She quickly text back "Yeah" I frowned at her response because I know she heard this door. "Open the door Summer" a few seconds later you could hear her unlock the door from the other side. She looked tired and sad. She opened the door and then walked away from it going back to sit on the couch.

"Damn what's wrong with you?" I sat next to her

She sat back on the couch looking straight ahead "You know how I told you before that I was raised by my mom because my dad apparently didn't want anything to do with me?"

I nodded "Well after all of these years. He finally reached out to me"

"That's good right?" I said confused

"Yeah but he came to me and told me it was because of my mom that I was robbed of a father. He sent multiple letters, gifts, money, all of that. And she never said shit! She hid it all from me because she didn't like the fact that he was marrying another woman. I have siblings that are fucking grownups. Everything I wished for as a kid was there but she took it all away from me. I don't know how to feel. Like am I supposed to hate her?" she said now looking at me with tears in her eyes.
