Warmth was between Asterin and Minho's pressed body as they slept holding each other, someone calling out for them woke them up and Newt stood on top of them yelling out for them to get the fuck up, the teenagers lazily turning to look at the open desert then the sight of light flickering caught their eyes and Thomas pointed at it.

"We made it!" He exclaimed, the sudden sight of a flashing lightning lit up the sky like fireworks startled them especially when the thunder was hitting the ground, everyone rushed to grab their bags abs immediately started running feeling the ground shake under their feet as they ran, the thunder getting closer to them as Thomas yelled at them to hurry up.

"THOMAS SHUT UP, WE'RE ALREADY RUNNING! Oh fuck..." she exclaimed covering her ears with her hand at the thunder roaring furiously across the night sky that blinding her completely as they ran for their lives, a thunder hit the ground inches away from her and she suddenly felt a force pushing her Asterin fell to the side rolling in pain and clenching her side.

Her eyes wide as her ears ringed badly, turning around to look for Minho she noticed him inches away lying on the ground with smoke coming out of his body, the girl didn't care about herself but only screamed his name and rushed towards him grabbing his collar and shaking him hoping he would wake up, Thomas and Newt were by her side and immediately picked up the boy and pulled the unconscious boy to the building were Frypan held the door open.

Asterin couldn't hear anything she swore that her ears were bleeding.

As soon as they were inside the building the gladers placed the boy down and Asterin immediately was on top of him screaming on the top of her lungs to wake up, "come on man!" Exclaimed Newt while pointing his flash light in his face, tears were running down Asterin's cheek as she begged for him to get up. "Minho, please I need you to wake up, this can't be happening , no. No. No."

She can't lose him to. No she can't.

Asterin hand clenched his collar as she tried to wake him up and would listen to his heart everytime, she could feel the electricity rushing through her body as soon as she made contact with him, suddenly Minho groaned in pain as she let out a sigh of relief and immediately threw herself on him wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him close to her.

"What happened?" He asked groaning slightly but still wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him, "you got struck by lightning, you dumbass!" She scolded glaring at him before punching his shoulder harshly, Minho on the other hand had his mouth open and a hand on his chest grunting in pain at her punch, "oh stop being dramatic." Newt helped the boy upand wrapped his arm around the boy.

"I mean what can I say, I won't let my girl get struck." He said wrapping his arm around Asterin who huffed in annoyance and let him pull her, "your girl?!" Exclaimed the boys while staring at the two with wide eyes, "this is the second time you said it, are y'all a thing?" Asked Thomas with a smirk as he nudged Minho's shoulder, "well at least we don't stutter whenever we're together not like you Tommy, you can't even talk to Newt without stuttering, right Minho?" She replied with a laugh that instantly warmed Minho's heart at the boy frightened look Thomas shot them.

Newt was also surprised by her words.

"Damn right." He replied, "what is that smell?" Teresa suddenly spoke in annoyance as she looked around the dark room that smelled like corpses, a sudden crank flew towards the girl and tried to catch her but what seems to be a chain caught it and pulled it back, everyone screamed in terror at the sudden jumpscare except Asterin who only blinked.

"Why is it chained, i was wishing it would bite her." She said pointing her flashlight around the room where more cranks lunging at them and tried to catch them, one suddenly was in front of her and Asterin move was quick as she kicked the monster straight into the face breaking it's jaw and the crank fell to the ground with a loud thud—killing it.

The mouth ripped and flew on the other side of the room, "punk ass bitch!" She exclaimed in disgust, the door suddenly slammed open revealing someone standing in the doorway and slowly made their way towards them ignoring the cranks that tried to get her as if nothing was happening, she stood in front of Asterin who had narrowed eyes and fist ready to throw if this girl tried to hurt her or attack.

"It's rare to see a girl like you who's this strong and can kill a crank with only a simple kick." Said the girl with short dark hair that is cut close to her head, "well just to let you know this girl can anything and anyone she wants not only cranks, now who are you?" Snapped back Asterin staring at the girl with piercing eyes that stared down at Brenda's soul. "I like you." Said the girl with a smirk, "yeah everybody does, clearly not that bitch behind me but who gives a fuck." Replied the black haired girl gesturing to Teresa who looked very mad and was about to defend herself and snap back at Asterin but stopped once Aris placed his hand in front of Teresa.

"You won't win and will get punched again or probably die, back off." Said Aris while pushing the girl slightly away, "so you met our watch dogs, aren't they adorable, follow me." With that she walked away leaving the gladers look at each other with narrowed eyes, "why should we trust you?" Said Thomas keeping his arm around Newt to keep him away from the cranks growling, "unless you wanna stay here with them."

Walking inside the building following the girl who still haven't introduced herself, "wait thise things back there are your friends you just chained them up?" Asked Teresa the girl who rolled her eyes at such a dumb question coming from her lips, "no they drink tea with them, of course they chain them just like us when we used to take people in the slammer you dumbass." Said Asterin in annoyance, the pure sarcasm clear in her tone it made Minho smile proudly.

"No worse than cutting them loose to crank land."

"What the hell is crank land?"

"You guys aren't from around here, are you?" She slid the door open and every person this building stared down at the new comers and ome suddenly appeared out of no where and stood in front of Minho and Asterin threateningly staring at them, "so now we're taking in strangers?" Asked the main, both the runners stared back at him coldly.

Minho had the 'try me' look and glared straight into the man and Asterin stood beside glaring at him in disgust, Minho didn't even have a single blink of fear in his body and nor does Asterin he looked like he was about to fold him like a piece of paper and it was hot, while Asterin on the other hand looked like she will cut him in a blink of an eye and leave him bleed on the ground, both already planning his death if he attacked them.

Power, confidence and rage rushing through their veins as they stared dead at the man who decided to break eye contact at their sharp looks, Powerful couple.

"Back off, we saw them first." said Brenda watching the two stare at the man in disgust, with one last glare Asterin stepped on his leg with a fake gasp leaving her lips, "oops, look were you're going." She smiled innocently at the man before walking away leaving him fuming clenching his jaw in pain the duo continued their way up the stairs.

"That was hot." She whispered to the black haired boy who turned to look at the girl with a smirk, "you find me hot?"

"I've always did."

She smiled back at him before grabbing his hand and intertwining her fingers with his and hid it behind them, "why did you push me to get yourself struck, you almost died and I can't lose you too Minho.." she whispered scolding the boy who only brushed his thumb against her knuckles that were slightly still bruised, "I don't care as long as you stay safe, you won't lose me darling.." he whispered back.

Minho saw it coming especially the lighting that was following her from the beginning of their run and didn't think twice before pushing her out of the way before the lighting could strike her, he could still feel the electricity rushing through his veins and weakened his knees causing him to fall on the ground with ears ringing. His eyes blurry but he could remember the panic clear in Asterin's angelic face and her screaming his name that rolled off her tongue beautifully.

His eyes battling him and fluttering shut.
