| #10: Don't try to fight wrestlers on your own |

Just as Levi said he'd do, he headed straight back to the Scouts Foundation to handle the business he had to attend to. As much as he felt like he needed to keep an eye on you to make sure you didn't mess with his tattoo, knowing how you'll do anything to spite him when you realized how much his tattoo means to him, he needed to continue on with his job.

Though, he wasn't sure how he'd be able to do it at all without the source of his powers on his body. That's what made this so complicated. You've turned his whole life around and you didn't even know it. He had to meet up with someone he made a deal with 10 years ago and make sure that the agreement was completed. But he couldn't do that now, could he?

He left the hospital, even with the doubts in his mind about having to leave at all, and immediately headed back to the Scouts Foundation building so that he could prepare to head out yet again and complete a deal, as much as he knew how different it would be to handle it this time around. It was still fairly early in the morning so Levi knew had some time before he had to head out yet again. He needed to find a solution for this, and fast.

On his way back, all he could think about was what he was supposed to do now. He had to continue doing his job like he's always done but how? Things are most definitely going to change now, and Levi knew that if you had his powers, it would be for the worse. He needed to figure something out and his mind was in shambles trying to come up with a temporary solution until he could find a way to get you to cooperate. If he could even do that, because a single conversation with you was enough to boil his blood.

He truly felt like his mind was going to explode, even as he tried to stay logical and tried to stay calm. What could he do? What could he say to you? What does this mean from now on? Can he even get his powers back at all? Did his tattoo transfer to your wrist permanently? He had no clue but before it was irreversible, if there was even a chance to undo it, he had to think of sometime. All he knew is that he had his tattoo one moment, he went unconscious, then he woke up, and it was gone.

He still couldn't wrap his head around it completely and all he was asking before was for you to leave your wrist alone until he could figure this whole thing out. As much as you infuriated him, he knew you acknowledged his panic and warnings back at the hospital and wouldn't do something so reckless and the exact opposite of what he asked. Right?

Levi knew you were smart and could tell you weren't the type to be that petty, despite you wanting to get rid of it so quickly before. He hoped you'd think it through. He's known you for no longer than a day and a half at most, but he still trusted his intuition about you and that you'd put your worries about his tattoo aside even for a little while. All he needed was time.

Eventually, he drove his car back to the Scouts Foundation, as much as his thoughts were so close to disturbing the peace he'd been trying to keep. Levi felt like he was usually good at keeping calm even in the worst situation, but now, he didn't see how there could be a silver lining, but for his sanity, he needed to find one. He needed to get back to his office and try something to give him any sort of confirmation that this could be reversed.

But by the time that he was getting back to the building, parking his car, making his way across the building, Onyankopon had already arrived that morning to Levi's office to start the same daily routine he always did. He had originally started out by doing his usual morning deep clean that Levi had shown Onyankopon how to do in case he wasn't around, and now he had perfected over the years to reach Levi's standard of cleanliness.

But as he was cleaning, Onyankopon got a bit sidetracked. As he cleaned up Levi's office, as he usually did with his job as his assistant, there was something that Onyankopon stumbled upon. Something very precious to Levi. So now, letting himself be a little nosy, he was casually sitting on Levi's desk chair with one hand holding up a duster, and the other holding up a very particular book.

This was no normal book. It was a book that Levi had hidden in his office in a place only he knew but that Onyankopon had managed to find. It was a green, hard covered book, fairly thick for its size due to the important information recorded inside. This book had all of the terms that Levi had to meet, and has met without fail over the last 200 years, as a demon. This is the one book he needed to look over and see if there is anything at all in it that could save him in the predicament that he's in.

But now Onyankopon was just casually flipping through it even when Levi had told him multiple times not to look at it, taking a break from deep cleaning and just seeing what kind of terms and conditions Levi had to meet with the kind of job he had. Sure, he made deals with other people where they had to meet his conditions, but nobody else knew that Levi had certain things and rules that he had to stick to as well.

While he continued to read through it, occasionally grimacing at some of the things that were listed as rules that Levi had to follow, that was when Levi himself had finally made it back to his office and opened the door.

As soon as he did, Onyankopon's head shot up and scrambled to get up, not wanting to get caught by his boss from slacking off work. But little did he know that, shockingly, morning cleaning was at the least of Levi's list of worries at the moment. But still, Onyankopon shut the book, hid it under the desk and quickly proceeded to pretend to brush any dust off the desk.

Still, when Levi came into the room and saw how startled Onyankopon was the moment he heard the door open, clearly rushing to hide something, Levi scoffed as a smirk tugged at his lips. His assistant has never been as discreet as he thinks he is. Levi briskly started to make his way over to Onyankopon and watched as he grinned up at him, which was clearly mustered up on the spot as a cover up. In a way, Levi thought he could do better than that.

When Levi reached his assistant and stopped right in front of his desk, watching as Onyankopon continued to brush away the non-existent dust on his boss' desk. But Levi noticed the way Onyankopon just looked up at him blankly, and he raised an eyebrow at him. Was he really playing dumb? He just saw him with the book like five seconds ago. He was being so obvious.

"Why don't we save ourselves the trouble and you hand it over," Levi said in an eerily calm tone while extending out his hand that made Onyankopon swallow hard. Levi wasn't in the mood to play games right now and bickering for this book was the last thing he wanted to do.

He saw how Onyankopon stayed silent for a couple seconds until he finally got the courage to speak. "I...don't know what you're talking about," Onyankopon muttered and Levi deadpanned at him with disbelief. Okay, so he was trying to waste his time. Great. The raven sighed and looked away, and then looked back at his assistant, who was looking very guilty.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about," Levi glowered, seeing how his assistant kept trying to avoid eye contact with him while clearly adjusting uncomfortably in Levi's chair, hinting that he was sitting on something.

There were a couple seconds of silence after that where Levi crossed his arms and Onyankopon showed body language that he clearly had the book. That's when Onyankopon found an opportunity and jumped up from the chair, bringing up the book with him, and rushed to the other side of the desk faster than Levi could process it.

At first, he was just really annoyed at how childish his assistant was being, but then he felt a groan bubble up in his throat when he saw Onyankopon open up the book again to continue reading it. As much as Levi hated it, he began chasing after his assistant, all the while Onyankopon began to read out loud the text in front of him. Onyankopon had begun to go from one side of the room to the other with Levi right on his tail.

"Demons exist for the sake of the deals they make," Onyankopon read out loud as he laughed tauntingly, causing Levi's irritation to grow as he continued to chase after his assistant. They were going all the way around the office now. "The failure to meet this condition and to make new deals before the expiration date will lead to spontaneous combus..." Onyankopon continued to read out loud, but the moment he got to the end of that sentence, his words trailed off and he felt like he lost his voice.

He kept rereading that sentence over and over to see if he'd read that correctly, and he stopped in his tracks entirely. He also heard Levi's footsteps behind him halt as well. Levi hung his head low and closed his eyes shut as he let out a huff. That was the one thing that he didn't want Onyankopon to see, or anyone for that matter.

Onyankopon whipped around to see Levi staring at him with a glare, making him run around to chase after him and continuing to read the book. "Spontaneous combustion? What does that mean?" Onyankopon exclaimed, knowing exactly what that meant, but he just wanted to ask Levi what it meant for him. Levi rolled his eyes and reached over to snatch the book away from his assistant's grasp, and put it under his arm

"This is the last time I'll tell you to stop going through my stuff," Levi said as he turned on his heel and began to head right back to his desk, with Onyankopon trailing right behind him, desperately wanting to have answers on what he just read in that book. He couldn't ignore it that easily.

"First of all, I'm your employee and we met each other in my past life. We're practically family. And second of all-" Onyankopon started as he followed and watched Levi walk around his desk to hide his book again. But then a thought occurred to the raven, so before stashing his book away, he whipped around again to face his assistant with an accusatory look.

"Wait. How did you even find this again? I've changed the hiding spot like 10 times because of how nosy you are," Levi said as he used his book to point at Onyankopon. His assistant nearly gasped at the assumption, but then again, the evidence was pointed against him. He simply shrugged, and once again, avoided eye contact with his boss, just like he did before.

"W-Well..." Onyankopon started, using his free hand to rub the back of his neck, and Levi raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms with his book still in hand, already knowing he didn't have that good of a reason. "I was just cleaning the office in the mornings like I usually do, a-and..." He continued, and Levi quickly turned away as he saw that he clearly did not have an excuse.

Onyankopon watched as Levi kneeled down to the floor to one side of his desk. "I think that I have a right to read that...demon manual after all the time I've spent by your side, don't you think?" Onyankopon countered as he watched Levi open a cabinet under his desk, which revealed a safe. That was where Onyankopon found it in the first place so now he is watching Levi put it back.

"No. You don't. And-" Levi started, but his hand froze midway though reaching towards the lock. He froze at what his assistant just said. He sighed and stood back up, turning around to face Onyankopon. "This is not a manual. I'm not a vacuum cleaner, am I?" Levi said, annoyed that his assistant he's assuming some sort of inanimate object without any autonomy. Sure, he had to follow some rules but he was a person.

His assistant's face quickly turned cheeky, though. "But you'd like that, wouldn't you?" Onyankopon said teasingly and Levi deadpanned at him. Levi exhaled and raised a hand to press to the bridge of his nose. How has he dealt with this for years on end? He'll truly never know.

Levi's glare and his silence told Onyankopon that he wasn't amused whatsoever. He cleared his throat and continued to try and say his piece. " If it's not a manual, then what is it?" He asked cautiously, seeing clearly how on edge Levi is right now. Levi simply turned back around, knelt back down to the safe and started to quickly press in the numbers in the password on the touchpad that locks it. He'd need to find a new hiding place.

"It's nothing you need to worry about. It's just stuff and information about me, rules as a demon, conditions. It's classified, so stay away from it. I mean it," Levi concluded as he began to configure a new password, blocking his assistant's view and making sure that Onyankopon didn't see it. When he got it open, he threw the book inside, closed the safe and stood back up.

Onyankopon watched as Levi got back up on his feet and he made his way around the desk so he stood in front of it. Levi quickly reached over to grab the back of his chair, since it rolled away when Onyankopon stood up from his desk and Levi started chasing after him. Levi quickly turned it around and settled himself in it, crossing his arms in front of him, and tilting his head back with sigh, closing his eyes trying to get some peace.

But it looks like nothing that he wishes for ever comes true. "So..." Onyankopon started as he broke the silence that Levi had been trying to keep. The raven bit back a groan and kept his eyes closed, knowing that Onyankopon still had questions about what he read. "Does spontaneous combustion mean...you'll burn away if you don't make any deals," Onyankopon said, with a tone that was entirely different than before. There was clearly fear and concern for someone he considers dear to him.

Levi opened his eyes and directed his steel eyes towards his assistant and his chest rose and fell as he took a breath. Levi remained silent and out of instinct, he turned his head and looked away from his assistant, slightly turning his head downwards. His bangs fell over his face slightly, Levi's silence was all that was needed to confirm Onyankopon's assumptions.

Onyankopon gasped and a hand flew to his mouth. So, it was true. Levi would practically burst into flames if he didn't meet his conditions as a demon. "Wow...that's terrifying. And you're not scared?" Onyankopon questioned, watching as Levi turned his head again so that his eyes met his assistant's once more, looking him dead in the eye.

He would never admit it to anyone, and he wouldn't do it now, but he was scared. You having his tattoo, meant he no longer could do deals, which could eventually lead to spontaneous combustion and that would be the end of it. Which is why he's been driving himself crazy over this the moment he saw that his tattoo was gone and he saw it on your wrist of all places. He was trying to stay logical and find a solution but when Onyankopon reminded him of it, he really couldn't do anything to escape it, could he?

"Well if that's the case, then how often do you need to make a deal to prevent that from happening?" Onyankopon asked, but once again, Levi refused to answer. There was one deal that he left the hospital for but he just ended up coming back to his office, because how could he possibly complete the deal without his powers? He came back here to find a solution and see if there was a loophole that could help him. But his chances were becoming slimmer and slimmer to find any kind of solution.

"If I'm being honest...I have no idea. But I'm driving myself crazy over it. I've never had to worry about this before," Levi said, realizing that even with his tattoo, he's never had to worry about it being gone and having to do deals without it. When he had it, it was like second nature for him whenever he had to do a deal and he'd have hundreds done at a time. All of that changed the moment his tattoo somehow transferred onto you, because it's all he can think about. He needed to find a solution for this and quickly.

"I knew something was off. I sensed something was off the moment you walked in the door," Onyankopon said and Levi just wanted to get past this topic of conversation as fast as possible because, even if his life quite literally depended on it, he can't be bothered to think about bursting into flames right now. There were other ways to go about this first.

Levi quickly lifted his hand and reached into the inner pocket of his jacket. He pulled out the business card you gave him back at the restaurant and tossed it at Onyankopon, letting it land at the edge of the desk. His assistant watched the card land in front of him and he picked it up, looking at what was on. "I need you to look into this woman for me," Levi said simply, with no other explanation behind it. Onyankopon looked between Levi and the card and then quickly read over what was on it.

"Y/n L/n?" Onyankopon questioned out loud, earning nothing but a nod from Levi. He really had no idea why Levi wanted him to look into the woman in the card, but he had no reason to deny him that otherwise so he just nodded in confirmation that he'd do it, regardless of the reason why.

"Look into her family, her background, past relationships, her preferences and pretty much everything about her. Don't ask me why, so just do it, please," Levi asked as he looked at Onyankopon dead in the eye. But his assistant simply raised his eyebrows at how much Levi was asking to know about this woman that he's never heard of before. It was unusual, especially for him. Besides, Levi has always been a 'do it yourself' kind of guy and he took care of his own business alone, so it was strange to hear this request.

"Who is this woman and why are you interested in knowing all that about her?" Onyankopon asked, but just as before, Levi narrowed his eyes and felt compelled not to have to answer at all, but he knew that Onyankopon wouldn't drop it until he was clear with him from the beginning. "Didn't I just say that you didn't need to know why?" Levi said sternly, but he should've known that those words alone wouldn't deter his assistant.

"Does she happen to be the same woman from your date yesterday?" Onyankopon pried, and Levi narrowed his eyes, knowing he was right on the money but now his assistant would form his own hypothesis about you and why he wants to look into your past. He knew that his assistant's thoughts and assumptions would be nothing but further from the truth. And he was absolutely right. He shouldn't have expected anything different.

"Did she...catch your eye more than you thought?" Onyankopon said suggestively, only causing Levi's gaze to darken, not wanting to even imagine that possibility of that whole encounter having gone the way he was suggesting. It wasn't like that at all, it was actually the exact opposite.

"No. She's just a thief" Levi grumbled as he looked away, but his words only gave his assistant even more of a reason to tease him. Onyankopon smirked and rubbed the back of his head as a quip surfaced in his head.

"Is she? Did she steal your heart?" Onyankopon said, letting out a snort he couldn't contain. He was so proud of his joke that his smile didn't even falter when Levi's glare deepened when his head whipped back to look at him. His boss was looking at him, unamused at his little jokes, but he really didn't understand how serious this was. Onyankopon wouldn't take long in noticing that his boss' tattoo is gone and what that would entail.

"You're hilarious," Levi deadpanned at his assistant, who was still letting out a few chuckles and laughing at his own joke. Levi exhaled through his nose and lifted his right hand so that he could rest his head on it, but the problem with that is that he left his tattoo-less wrist on full display for Onyankopon to see. He didn't take very long to notice, and when he did, his eyes went wide and he gasped. He could've sworn he deceived him, but it was clear.

"Y-Your tattoo...it's gone," Onyankopon stumbled over his words as he raised a hand to point to Levi's wrist in shock. Levi's eyes widened and he immediately lowered his wrist and had it face down so that his assistant couldn't see it anymore. Levi cleared his throat and crossed his arms again, looking back up at his assistant as if nothing happened.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Levi said as he raised one of his hands to brush one of his bangs out of his face as he still refused to make eye contact with his assistant, whose eyes were still wide and now even more so that Levi was trying to make him think he was seeing things.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about. Your tattoo! It's gone! I just saw your wrist, don't try to deny what I saw," Onyankopon said in an accusatory tone, watching as Levi tried to remain unbothered.

But Levi knew that there was no way to get out of yet another question, because there was really no way for him to get out of this or try to explain it, since he didn't even know how to explain it himself. He had no idea what was going on so how could he even explain it to Onyankopon?

Levi finally looked up at his assistant who was looking expectantly, waiting for his boss to say something. Never in the years has he seen Levi without his tattoo or even heard of him not having it after becoming a demon. "Oh...that?" Levi said nonchalantly as he raised his wrist and looked at his empty wrist blankly, pretending it didn't bother him.

His boss' response made Onyankopon's eye almost bug out of his head. "Yes! That! What happened?" He exclaimed, continuing to point desperately at his boss' empty wrist, that he didn't understand why he was looking at so calmly. Though, he had no idea the real turmoil in Levi's head knowing he didn't have his tattoo on him anymore. All Onyankopon was seeing was Levi trying to brush off and undermine how he was feeling, like its not a big deal.

"Nothing happened, it's not a big deal. Just leave it," It's a huge deal, I don't know what to do; Is what Levi really wanted to say. He really didn't know how to handle this but all he knew was that he wanted to try and find a solution for it himself, knowing Onyankopon would attempt to try and help him. It's not like he didn't appreciate it, because he did, but this was something he needed to find a solution for on his own first.

Sensing that Levi was most likely aware that his tattoo was gone, Onyankopon stayed silent but his eyes studied his boss carefully. He crossed his arms over his chest and took a breath. "Come to think of it, you've been acting differently since you came back. Are you sure you're doing okay?" Onyankopon questioned, starting to ask from a different angle entirely. He knew in the back of his head Levi would still try to avoid it, but he still knew that there was no harm in asking anyway. He had to try.

"What are you talking about? I'm the same as I've always been, I haven't changed," Levi said, and to Onyankopon, it sounded like his boss was either deep in denial or just flat out denying it. He knows that he doesn't want help with his business most of the time, but this seems a lot more serious than any other issue that Levi has come across.

Onyankopon hummed, not convinced at all by Levi trying to convince him that he was okay, because if his tattoo was gone, then he knew for a fact that this was a lot bigger than he thought. And now, Onyankopon felt a lightbulb go off in his head. "Alright..." He trailed off, nodding his head slowly and beginning to walk away from Levi's desk, but not before discreetly grabbing the jug of water at the edge of his boss' desk.

Levi breathed out and leaned his head back in his chair, watching as his assistant supposedly 'walked away' and finally dropped the issue. But Onyankopon was far from doing that. Levi closed his eyes for a moment, and Onyankopon knew this was his shot. If what he was thinking was right, then he would be in a lot of trouble with Levi, but if he wasn't and his theory is wrong, then there was nothing either of them would have to worry about.

So before he could back out, Onyankopon quickly whipped around, and even if his powers were gone, Levi sensed his assistant's movements, straightened up, and turned around in his chair, but it was too late. By the time he turned around, Onyankopon had thrown a wave of water at Levi from the jug to see if he could stop it and see if his powers were still there.

But since it was second nature, Levi turned around, raised his hand to snap his fingers. Though, just as expected, that snap did not do anything and in an instant, Levi was drenched with water. After that, as water could be heard dripping onto the ground from Levi's body, there was only silence.

Onyankopon's mouth dropped open as he watched as his boss' hair, face and clothes were completely drenched with water. Levi's hand was still frozen in the air from when he attempted to try to snap his fingers. Levi's eyes were still closed, but his assistant could sense the air in the room thicken as Levi lowered his arm, moving to prop his forearms on his desk.

"I'm going to kill you," Levi muttered as he began to run his hands through his face and hair so that he could open his eyes again and so that he could brush his hair out of his face. Onyankopon wasn't fazed by Levi's words and he lowered his arms to his sides, while his face remained in shock, knowing that his theory was right and what that meant.

"Your powers are gone..." Onyankopon said as he gaped at his boss. His tattoo was gone, so that means he didn't have his powers anymore. And then his heart dropped even further to his stomach when he remembered the conversation they had just a couple minutes ago. If Levi doesn't have his powers, he can't make deals, and if he can't make deals, he'll burn away and die. That fact made him wonder what was going through Levi's head.

"Yeah, no shit," Levi said as he stood up and gestured to his body that was drenched with water, continuing to Onyankopon understood in a matter of seconds why Levi was acting differently, no matter how much he tried to hide it. There was no way that Levi wasn't actively panicking about what would happen to him because his tattoo was no longer on him. It came together in Onyankopon's mind and everything was clicking.

"But without your powers gone, this means you'll..." Onyankopon trailed off, and Levi already knew this fact well but the reminder didn't make it any better. This is why he never wanted anybody to know because he wanted to fix it before anybody noticed, but he knew that would be too good to be true. He knew that Onyankopon would be the first one to find out.

"Yes, I'm aware. Can we move on now?" Levi said as he began to squeeze parts of his clothes to get the water out, cringing slightly as the floor got more wet. God, nothing has been going his way recently, huh?

"Wait, if you die, does that mean I'll be out of a job?" Onyankopon wondered and Levi stopped draining out his clothes to slowly turn his head to look at his assistant at what he heard. "Is that really what you're thinking about?" Levi said as he took a couple steps forward towards his assistant.

Onyankopon didn't even answer but when he mustered up a couple words, his words quickly got caught up in his throat when Levi spoke up again. "My powers are gone, for fuck's sake!" Levi snapped suddenly, making Onyankopon flinch slightly in place at his boss raising his voice.

Noticing his assistant's reaction, he sighed and turned away, putting his hand on his hips and walking back to where he was. He was really losing his mind over this and he really didn't have as much control emotionally as he thought. But Onyankopon's demeanor quickly went back to normal and his face morphed into a knowing one. "So you did lose them. What are you going to do now? How did you lose them?" He asked his boss curiously.

When Levi stayed silent and with his back to his assistant and refused to answer, suddenly something clicked in Onyankopon's head. A smirk tugged at his lips and he began to take closer and taunting steps towards his boss. "Would this, by any chance, have to do with this 'thief'"? Onyankopon said, grabbing the card back from Levi's desk on his way to his boss and then stopped to stand right next to him, putting the card right in front of him.

Levi's eyes darted between the card and his assistant, noticing the cheeky look on his face. Levi brushed Onyankopon's hand away and walked past him to another part of his office, while his assistant stayed in place, watching his boss' movements carefully. He knew that Levi would try to deny it again, and Levi himself knew this too, so he didn't even try.

"I have no idea what she did, but I admit it, I have no Idea what I'm doing and I don't know how to get them back. Before they transferred, my powers stopped working and then my tattoo went to her," Levi admitted as he turned around again to face Onyankopon who looked just as lost as he did.

"And that's why you want me to look into her," Onyankopon said as he looked down for a moment at the business card with your name on it. Levi nodded and raised an arm in recognition at what his assistant said, then letting it drop to his side again, and then putting his hands on his hips again.

But after a few seconds of silence between them, he knew he couldn't stay here with his arms crossed and not do anything, so with a huff he turned around and quickly began heading for the door. His sudden movements startled Onyankopon, wondering where his boss was headed to. "Hey! Where are you going?" He asked, watching as Levi was just about to reach the door, but he stopped altogether and turned around to face his assistant.

"A deal I made expires today. I can't ignore it, so that comes first before I think about getting my tattoo back," Levi said, knowing that even with his powers gone altogether, this was one thing he couldn't put off because he had to settle it with or without his powers. If he doesn't complete or make deals, he knows full well what will happen to him.

Onyankopon's eyebrows furrowed at what Levi was trying to do, because he didn't understand how he would possibly make it work. "But your powers are gone! How are you going to do it?" He asked and Levi put his hands in his pockets and his eyes' silver irises filled with resolve and determination.

"I've done this for 200 years, it's like second nature to me. I'll find a way to do it and do a damn good job at it like I always have," Levi said, making his assistant's eyebrows rise in surprise at how confident he sounded. He sure wasn't letting this stop him from doing his job, was he? And in any case, who was he to stop him? When Levi decided on something, nothing could change his mind. And this was obviously not an exception.

"Trust me, i'll be fine," Levi assured and turned back around to head out the door at last. When he was gone and Onyankopon heard the door shut, he was left in silence for a couple seconds before he let out a breath. That was quite the conversation they just had, but all he could think of now was what kind of future awaited Levi and what will happen to him if he doesn't get his tattoo back. He's never met you, but he hopes you see past the rivalry you and Levi clearly have and try to help him, regardless of what happened.

-

As it turned out, Levi was in fact not fine. He wasn't fine at all. This deal he'd made in specific and that he was coming to collect was with a person he wished so damn badly he had his powers for and now he had to do this the hard way, which was very inconvenient for him.

The person he had done a deal with 10 years ago was now a professional wrestler of all people, so the moment Levi reached him at their training center, he prepared himself for the fact that this wouldn't be as easy as it's always been since he didn't have his powers to help him.

Which is why, in this moment, he was being flung across a hallway and landing with a loud thud on the ground as the wrestler took tentative steps towards him, coming closer to stand over him with the scroll that contained their scroll written on paper, as Levi groaned on the ground, slowly trying to get up. This was the wrong time for him to be completely powerless.

His face contorted into one of pain as got to his knees and gave his back to the wrestler. He also had no clue that while he had his back to the wrestler, there was no longer just one but they were multiplying and soon the wrestler's friends were right there behind him.

Levi grimaced as he shook his hand, trying to get rid of the pain that he felt. He should've thought through trying to use force on wrestlers of all people, but what else was he going to use? It was all he had right now. His clothes were also disheveled, as well as his hair, from the attempt of trying to go one on one. He had to do this differently or it would end badly for him.

But when he finally felt enough strength to push himself to stand up, he brushed off his clothes and tried to put himself together before facing to what he thought was just one wrestler. Though, when he finally turned around and had a very rude awakening, his face dropped when he saw there was a crowd of wrestlers behind the one guy he was actually after.

Seeing that he was face to face to many wrestlers that were quite literally smash his face in if they wanted to, Levi tried to remain stoic, unbothered, and as he usually looked by what just happened, because if they figured out that he wasn't the same as before, then it would make things a lot harder.

Though, it was hard to keep a straight face when the wrestler at the front, the one Levi was after, spit out his gum on the ground and it took everything in him not to cringe and grimace. Disgusting Levi thought to himself as his eyes turned to the ground, looked at where the gum landed, and looked back up at the wrestler who looked more than ready to pummel him again.

"Seems you're not that bright enough to know that there's a trash can right next to you," Levi said as he gestured with his head to the trash bin that was literally next to the wrestler. The man looked at it once and then back to Levi as a taunting smile came upon his face, showing that he clearly didn't care.

As much as Levi hated it, he had to keep up a conversation until he came up with a new way to deal with this. "I don't think you realize how hard it is to get gum off the floor-" Levi started, but it was clear that the wrestler was already far too pissed to do small talk and ignore the issue at hand, so Levi quickly got cut off by the wrestler, who refuses to let his life end after everything that this deal and wish were able to get him.

To them, Levi just arrived out of nowhere to pick a fight, despite saying to the wrestler when he arrived that he was there to end a deal made 10 years before, which is more than clear that he did remembers but simply refuses to acknowledge it, as most people did when it was time to end their deals. Nobody wanted to give up what they earned, that was clear enough.

"Do you think I care? I've lived the best life I possibly could, and it's all thanks to you. I'm not giving that up so easily. I didn't even have to work hard to get into the Olympics because you did it for me," The wrestler said as he waved around the scroll he had in his hand up in the air, rubbing it right in Levi's face that he wasn't the one in control. The wrestler was.

"You know as well as I do that it will end sometime. You didn't think it would last forever or that I'd forget, did you? This stops now," Levi said as he began to take a couple steps closer to the wrestler, but he couldn't get very far, because the wrestler suddenly raised the scroll in his hands and in between their faces, waving it right in Levi's face arrogantly.

Levi swatted the scroll away from his face and glared at the wrestler, not liking the fact that he was not being taken seriously and that they were taking him for an idiot. "You know what's funny? I knew this day would come, so I did my own research and it turns out, I don't owe you a single thing," The wrestler said proudly, but Levi's eyes furrowed, not knowing where he was going with this or what he meant by that.

The wrestler took notice of Levi's confusion and his smirk widened. "A contract like this that demands too much in return, shouldn't even be considered a fair trade, should it? In other words, you should get out of my face," The wrestler said as he began to take steps closer to Levi, followed by his teammates behind him, which made the raven feel even more powerless than he already did when he was forced to start backing up.

But realizing that he couldn't let the absence of his powers stop him from doing what he's already been doing for centuries on end, Levi halted his steps backwards, which made the wrestlers stop too. "We had a deal, and you know it. Aren't you embarrassed of not being able to come through with your own agreements? You're shameful, and you should be thanking me," Levi said as was suddenly filled with courage to take on these men head on.

He needed to make them think that he's the same as he's always been and maybe this whole thing will go over a little bit quicker. Regarding them in the way he always has, even when he had his powers, seemed to be the best choice, didn't it? He needs to put his pride aside and give the best acting he could muster, as much as it felt like it ate away at him. "I think you idiots have forgotten what kind of person you're dealing with here, so I'll give you a little reminder," Levi warned as he felt himself groan inwardly.

"I can easily take all of you without breaking a sweat," Levi said as he began to do the whole bit; stretch his head from side to side, he did cross arm stretches, rolled his shoulders back and really did try to prepare himself to fight over 20 men in front of him. But it seems that his preparation wasn't intimidating anyone, much less the wrestlers.

They looked amongst each other and laughed mockingly at how tough Levi was pretending to be. God, he really felt like a joke, but if he could somehow do this and luck out then he would go through with it, as much as it ate away at him. The wrestler Levi had a deal with smirking and then looked back again at the men that were behind him.

"Go on, guys. He wants to show us what he's got? Go at him with everything you have," The wrestler said as he crossed his arms in front of him and his smirk widened, watching his teammates do as told, walking around him and heading straight towards Levi with looks on their faces that really said that they were ready to fight him. He really had no way out of this.

Okay, Levi felt like this was the time to panic. He started backing up again across the long hallway, trying to think quickly about whether he could do this. Damn it, you really screwed him over, huh? He quickly began to realize that he couldn't possibly win this but he at least had to try, didn't he?

These were huge men, and extremely built at that. They were Olympic wrestlers after all, so Levi knew that his luck really ran out when he lost his tattoo before having to deal with these men. If he had his powers, he would've been out of here by now and his confidence was swayed.

Though, he couldn't even get a word out or even throw the first move, because two wrestlers at the front suddenly came at him from both sides, grabbed his arms to immobilize him, and began pushing him back.

Levi wasn't weak by any means, and had a fair amount of strength that amplified even more when he had his powers, so he used whatever strength he had to try to resist against the hold that these men had on him from either side. He couldn't possibly let himself get defeated by these men so quickly, so he had to do something and it needed to be now.

"Is that the best you can do? I thought you'd be better than this," Levi said as a smirk came upon his lips, despite how hopeless he felt. He needed to fake it until he made it. His face quickly hardened, and he used his core strength to lift the bottom half of his body, to then send hard kicks with each foot at the two nearest wrestlers. He then used that as a distraction to shove one of the men that was holding onto one of his arms to the side.

That man crashed into the wall and left him disoriented for a while, which Levi quickly took as a sign and an opportunity to take care of the next one on his other side. He quickly turned to his side and sent a punch square into the wrestler on the other side of him and sent him crashing to the wall as well, but this time, that one was completely knocked out.

Once he was completely free from either side and he'd gained more confidence, Levi took care of any other wrestler that came his way easily, even if it felt like it was never ending. The next one that came at it, he threw yet another severely disorienting punch to the jaw and then kicked him in the back to send him to the other side of the hallway.

Levi quickly turned back around and many more came at him with not so much punches but more intents of actually wrestling than actually sending physical punches. Levi didn't let that deter him either because whether it was wrestling or physical combat, he would either just to get them off his back. Meanwhile, all the wrestlers that Levi was actually after were in the back leaning against the wall watching it all happen.

The one Levi was currently fighting had weakened in his movements, making Levi smirk. So, as soon as he saw he let his guard down, he grabbed the wrestler by the straps of his uniform and spun him around to disorient him until he made him crash against the wall and keep him pressed there, but not after sending yet another punch square to his jaw and then throwing him to the side, letting him fall unconscious.

But that was when Levi made yet another mistake and lowered his guard as well, not taking into the account of the many wrestlers that were still behind him. He turned around and he received his own punch to the face that made him fall to his knees for a bit. He quickly stood up and turned back around but was quickly met with the wrestler that punched him suddenly lunging and tackling Levi, but Levi was quick to throw him to the side as well.

But in a moment, he sensed that there was another attack coming, so he turned his head and raised his arm by instinct, and by a stroke of luck, he stopped a punch, mid-air. He looked forward and saw that he had grabbed the fist of another wrestler that he hadn't gotten to yet, but judging by his uniform, that many of these men had the same, Levi tilted his head to the side and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Didn't I hit you already?" Levi questioned as he showed genuine confusion, but that was enough for the wrestler to tilt his head to the side in utter puzzlement as well, and for Levi to take that as an opportunity to send a punch with his other hand straight into his face. The wrestler yelled out in pain and grabbed his face, stepping away from Levi on his own accord.

It seemed like it was never ending but while all the other wrestlers that Levi had already taken care of all cowered at the end of the hallway in pain, there was another one who had the courage to continue to have a go at him.

Levi heard a scream and turned his head to see yet another wrestler coming at him, so Levi was quick to grab his shoulders, restricting his arms, turned him around, send a hard kick to his back, and the man fell into the pile of men in the end of the hallway, hearing them all whimper and groan.

Levi panted and his chest heaved. He ran a hand back through his hair, letting his bangs fall back onto his face. There was no doubt that he was tired of fighting these men, even when seeing the wrestler he made a deal with suddenly step over all of his teammates to get in front again, and to deal with Levi himself once and for all. It's clear that his teammates couldn't do it so he decided that if he was the one Levi was looking for, then so be it.

But before that happened, it seemed that many others heard the commotion from the fight because from the other end of the hallway, yet another huge crowd of wrestlers that looked twice as big as the group he just fought gathered one on one side of him. So, now he was surrounded.

As Levi panted heavily, he cursed under his breath and a tired smile came upon his lips. He knew for a fact now that he couldn't possibly settle this deal today. There was just no way. No matter how confident he had to take them all out, his body was already spent and he had to do this another time.

But as much as he hated thinking that he would forfeit, he knew it was far from over and he wouldn't let the loss of his powers stop him. Levi quickly got an idea on how he could get out of this the moment he realized there was an open window in front of him in the hallway he was in.

Levi let his tired smile grow as he raised his hand up in surrender, making the wrestlers look at each other with confusion. Was he really surrendering? "Alright, alright...I didn't know it would have to come to this, but..." Levi said as he chuckled, lowering his arms and then reaching into one of the inner pockets of his black trench coat.

Seeing this, the wrestlers' eyes widened and they immediately scattered back, on both sides at what Levi was about to do. But Levi took his hand out of his trenchcoat and lifted his hand in the form of a fist, making the wrestlers turn to even more confusion for a couple seconds.

But then Levi quickly lifted his finger, flipped them off, and in a matter of seconds before any of them could realize, he ran straight towards the window and leaped out of it. The wrestlers were quick enough to realize he was escaping, so on both sides, they all tried to chase after him.

But it was too late because Levi had already jumped out of the window from a second story floor and to his luck, he landed face down on a large pile of garbage bags and on top of a wrestling dummy that broke his fall safely. Though those bags and that dummy broke his fall, the smell was enough for Levi to grimace with disgust, so he quickly stood up from the garbage.

He was trying to get as far away as he could from garbage and away from the building. He stumbled a bit as he stood up, but when he looked up, he saw the wrestlers looking down at him from the window from where he jumped from, and many other open windows in the hallway as well.

They were all yelling and cursing down at him, but Levi couldn't care less. He was just glad he got out of that and at least he could think of how he could come back to close this deal once and for all. "This isn't over, alright? Hold on to your contract, because you're not off the hook. I'm coming back," Levi warned, watching as the wrestler he was looking for before had a face of anger and irritation clear on his face, having seen Levi escape.

"I'd like to see you try, you bastard!" The wrestler yelled down at Levi, since he was the one at the front at the edge of the window's ledge with all of his teammates behind him Just like Levi had done to them, the wrestler flipped off Levi as well and directed his hand directly downwards at the raven.

Levi didn't hesitate to raise his fist as well, flipping them off again. forcing his hand up in the air as his glare hardened, which only seemed to anger the wrestler even more. The wrestler continued to flip him off aggressively; "Go ahead! Be my guest!" He yelled down at Levi, anger coursing through him.

Levi was already irritated enough, if not more than the wrestler, so he raised his other hand up in the air and flipped off the wrestler with both hands, which didn't help the anger that was being directed at him from those men looking down at him. They all watched as Levi turned on his heel and began to walk away from the building, with determination to get his powers back as soon as possible. There was no way he could do his job like this.

Levi walked away from the building with a stride and a dark glare in his eyes as he kept his gaze forward with resolve and frustration building up. One way or another, he would find a way for you to give him his tattoo back. He would make sure of it and no argument with you would stand in his way.

-

It was around midday by now and you were still at the hospital, though after a couple of hours after Levi and the detectives left, once they asked their questions, you were finally discharged and free to go.

Now, you were getting ready to head out and standing in front of the mirror at the corner of the hospital room and fixing yourself up to leave and continue the rest of your day. Thankfully, before you woke up, Hange had stopped by your apartment and brought you an extra set of clothes to wear.

So, now you look at yourself in the mirror and brush off your clothes, fix your jewelry, your hair, and everything in between. You looked at yourself and feeling satisfied, you sent a small smile at the mirror and sighed. You were ready to go.

You knew it'd be a while until the detectives had any real leads on this case so you figured you'd just jump right back into work and continue your days as you normally would.

You were heading straight back to the office from the hospital, even if you knew that you were heading in to work a little later than you usually did.

As you finished getting ready and looked at yourself in the mirror one last time, you heard footsteps approaching behind you and you turned your head to look to see Hange was approaching you with their tablet in hand.

They stopped right next to you and held their tablet close to their body as they sent you a gentle and reassuring smile. "I picked up your car from the parking lot by the beach before you woke up. It's parked in front of the hospital so we can leave whenever you're ready. I also picked up the spare keys from the apartment this morning," Hange said and you turned your head to face them, nodding with a soft smile on your face.

You were glad Hange is as efficient as they've ever been and are always one step ahead of you. You hadn't been thinking about the car during the whole incident or even after you woke up, so you were glad there were no damages to it.

You were glad that you could just jump right back into your schedule without having to worry about anything else. Except one. The moment Levi left, all you were left thinking were the events with him that lead to you apparently ending up with his tattoo on your wrist, as crazy as that seemed to even digest because it didn't sound physically possible.

You genuinely thought he was more of a nutjob than you thought when he was saying you stole it from him, but after he left, you were left to think about what he said over and over to see if there was any logic behind it.

To you, it did not make any sense at all, not in the slightest, but you were trying to make an effort because it was clear that it wasn't just some whim for him and the more your memories came back to you, the more you started to see Levi's side of it.

Every encounter came back to you that would be somewhat helpful to you in trying to comprehend his side of this was suddenly coming back, making you slowly open your eyes more about him.

"Don't you think it's weird that he was alone eating in that restaurant and then he just magically showed up on that highway in the middle of the night too?" You wondered out loud to Hange, trying to piece everything together and why he wanted that tattoo so badly.

That guy was not normal at all, everything about him was a mystery, and every interaction you've had with him proved that further. You knew that it would be a long time before the two of you got rid of each other, so you wanted to know what he was about.

Hange hugged their tablet and made eye contact with you through the mirror. They looked like they were in deep thought from your words as well, trying their best to piece together what they knew to answer your question but nothing they tried to put together correlated and helped them come to a conclusion. In both of your thought processes, there were pieces missing.

"It's not a coincidence, I'm sure of it. What were the chances that we saw each other twice in the same day? I don't understand," You said as your brain continued to try and figure him out.

There was something weird going on behind this whole tattoo and Levi debacle that you wanted to get to the bottom of. Even with most of your memories back by now, nothing made sense and nothing connected. It was all jumbled.

Then a certain thought occurred to you. A small possibility. "Hold on..do you think it could be-" You started, starting to fix the cuffs of your shirt and taking your eyes away from the mirror, but then were quickly cut off by your assistant.

"Fate?" They blurted, and your head shot up to look at them through the mirror, and you saw that they had this pensive look on their face. It definitely looked like that was the only logical explanation for them.

You crossed your arms and a doubtful look appeared on your features as you looked at Hange. "Do you believe in that stuff, Hange? Fate?" You questioned, and when they broke out of their trance and quickly met your gaze, you could see that they were pretty set on their words.

Hange looked like they were considering it to be a possibility, despite how 'fairy tale-like' it sounded. You've always wondered if fate was really a thing, but you've never been in a situation where you've experienced so you have no idea. It's possible you might change your views if you get proven otherwise, but other than that, you're sticking to logic.

You noticed the way Hange hugged their tablet close to their body and sent you a small shrug. "You never know, Y/n. Life can be full of surprises," Hange said as a soft smirk tugged at their lips and they watched as you let out a soft sigh, with a gentle smile coming upon your lips.

You personally didn't believe in stuff like that. You tried to be realistic in life to save yourself disappointment. There was always an explanation for everything and you found it odd that no matter how much you went back on it in your head, you still couldn't piece together what was behind that whole situation. it just didn't make any sense whatsoever.

You refrained from telling Hange just yet about the spat you're having with Levi about his tattoo because that was a whole other issue. You didn't understand it yet and you didn't want to raise questions either until you understood the situation completely and got to the bottom of it.

There was one thing that suddenly popped up in your head, that had no relation to the tattoo but that also raised questions about Levi to you. "I don't know what your idea of surprises is, but it isn't mine. This isn't fate. There's obviously something that he's after," You said as you turned your body to face them entirely, keeping your arms crossed in front of you.

Hange's eyebrows furrowed and their head tilted to the side in confusion at what you meant by that. "Like what?" They questioned, wondering what it could possibly be that Levi wanted from you that hinted at his appearance the night before after your date and that same morning in your hospital room. If they could be of any help in this, they wouldn't think about it twice to do it.

"He kept going on and on about some deal last night when that psycho was trying to kill me. I agreed to it at the time but I still don't know what it's about or if he forgot about it or not," You said, leaving out the real reason as to why Levi was after you and why he was hovering over you that morning and then suddenly flipped a switch when Hange left the room, which was him demanding you gave him back his tattoo that you apparently stole.

You were keeping those details to yourself first. You had a feeling this is something you'd have to take care of by yourself and you don't have to involved Hange when it wasn't necessary.

You'd give them the other side of the story, and the one they knew when they were in the room and not the side of the story from the moment they stepped out and Levi told you what he really wanted and what he was really there for. "A deal? What kind of deal? Why would he go to such lengths to do that?" Hange questioned as their face contorted into one of concern from what you were telling them.

You shrugged and gave them the most convincing smile you could. "Not sure. But I doubt we should worry about it too much, it's not worth our time. I doubt it even matters now anyway. Don't worry," You said, reassuring Hange that there was nothing else but that to forget about and move on from.

You didn't want to burden them with any petty bickering you had with Levi at the moment for whatever reason he had that you were barely scratching the surface for. You could handle it alone and not have to drag anyone else in it to make it bigger than it is.

Hange looked at you for a couple seconds, with clear uncertainty in their face. They nodded hesitantly and watched as you extended your hand out, not feeling satisfied with how you were trying to brush it off.

Knowing that you still wanted to see from the chart, Hange was quick to hand you their tablet that had a graph that they'd acquired before. They knew you probably wanted to drop the topic, even if it was clear that it was weighing a bit in your head. But even so, they'd do as you asked, as they always did.

When they handed you the tablet and you held on to it, they saw your cuff ride up a bit and their eyes widened when they saw a tattoo that they've never seen before on your wrist.

You clearly didn't have it the day before after the two of you parted ways. "Since when do you have a tattoo?" Hange asked and your hand froze in mid-air as you held the tablet upon their question. Your blood ran cold as you tried to find an excuse, since you were still trying to figure it our yourself.

You didn't know what else to say so you blurted out the first answer that came to mind, despite whether it'd be believable or not. "Oh, this? It's nothing. I just...drank a little too much last night. I guess that says it all," You shamefully admitted, quickly pulling up your sleeve and hiding the tattoo.

You let out a nervous laugh that made Hange narrow their eyes. You've been acting weird since you woke up, but they weren't quite sure yet of what it was about you that changed. So, you drank too much after the two of you parted ways, so much that you ended up getting a tattoo. That seemed...believable enough. What exactly did you do after the two of you split up for the day?

Hange nodded slowly and once again you probably didn't want to go into detail so they dropped it, despite how much their curiosity was getting the better of them.

"Alright...i've just...never seen a tattoo like that before," Hange said, noticing how the outline and shape of the tattoo was very distinct. They weren't quite sure what to call it other than branches of some sort. You hid it quickly after they saw it so Hange couldn't get a better look. It only made alarms ring even more in their head. But for your sake, they'd drop it.

Hange quickly noticed that your eyes were focused and darting across the graph that was on the tablet. After that article release, you needed to see what kind of damage it was doing to your company. You needed to find Karina and confront her.

The results on this graph made your eyes widen as you raised your hand and ran it back through your hair. "We've already dropped by 10% in our stocks. How is that even possible? It's only been 24 hours," You said as panic started to show in your tone, as your arm dropped back to your side and you turned your head to look back at Hange.

This article was doing a lot more damage than you thought, and quicker than you anticipated. Karina wanted to mess with the success your company had recently and she did it. She really did. It was starting to make your own exasperation and resentment towards her grow faster than before.

Hange 's expression tried to remain neutral but she could see how your stress levels were rising visibly through your body language when seeing a chart like that. "I did some research and it seems like that foreign stockholders and institutions that have invested in us aren't very happy with the company after that article came out," Hange revealed making your eyes close shut with frustration as you let out a breath through your nose. All of that hard work really went down the drain in a day with a single article and it was all Karina's fault.

Does she have nothing better to do? She has her own company to run and now you have to pick up the pieces of what she caused. And if she wants to pick a fight with you, then that's exactly what she'll get. You breathed out and handed Hange's tablet back to them.

You needed to get this settled today and not wait another second. You'd report back to your office and then find a way to get back at Karina. You didn't know what you'd do yet, but you'll find a way. Something that will sting and make her take it down. You've known her for years, so you were sure you'd find something sooner or later. You have to find a way to get back at her and hit her where it hurts.

Hange watched, took back their tablet and observing as you reached over to the stool next to the mirror to grab your purse. They noticed how there was a certain look in your eye that they couldn't decipher at all. You had gone completely silent after that and they knew your mind was going haywire, but keeping it all under wraps. That was never a good sign.

"Do you want to head back to the office now?" Hange asked tentatively, hoping they could get you to talk again, and at least that way they'd know if you were okay. But when Hange asked, you suddenly froze as yet another memory resurfaced in your mind. The moment that you had been trying desperately to get out of that car and that psycho had a cloth to your mouth.

The words he said that had been buried deep in your memory were suddenly repeating over and over in your head. 'Grisha Jaeger is the reason you're going to die' is what keeps replaying over and over like an echo in your mind. It made your skin crawl the more you remembered it. You couldn't help the way it made a chill run up your spine and you didn't like it at all.

But not wanting to take seriously what he said in the context that he had, for your own sanity, you remembered that Grisha would be discharged today from the hospital from his checkup yesterday. You promised you'd go visit him when he did, so before heading to the office, you decided you would try to go see him to make sure that he's okay.

You didn't want to think that this psycho had anything to do with your family, or Grisha much less, and that this was just a deranged man who happens to know information about you from being in the public eye and used it as a scare tactic. Were you being delusional? Probably. Did you care? Not really. You hold onto whatever helps you sleep at night.

"Why don't we go see Grisha first? I want to know if he's okay before I head back to work, because I know it'll drive me crazy if I don't. Especially if I promised him I would," You said, and Hange was quick to nod in agreement. They couldn't possibly deny you that, could they? Besides, you were already late to work, what harm did it make if you took a little bit more to get there?

After that, you left the hospital room with Hange by your side. The entire time that the two of you were heading down, you felt like you were in a trance. You were spaced out, in your own thoughts about too many things at once and you needed to pull it together. You had to continue living like you've always had, continue working, and continue doing things like you've always had.

You didn't want anything to change, but somehow, in the back of your mind you knew that the moment you and Levi met again on that highway, nothing was going to be the same ever again. You were hanging to what little peace you had left and you were not letting it go until the last second.

-

Meanwhile, in one of the city's many police stations, Nile and Pixis were immediately hard at work trying to get their first lead for your case. They left the hospital and they immediately compiled the information that both you and Levi had given them to see if anything could lead them to their first clue. They were looking at every single detail available to them and not discarting anything that could possibly help them catch that killer.

The first step for them was to immediately try to create a picture of the criminal based on the descriptions that Levi gave them since he was the one who was able to see the villain the most in full light and up close. You were also at a close vicinity to see what he looked like, but you were no help in giving descriptions since the lighting of the inside of the car barely let you see what his face, especially since he had a cap covering the top half of his face.

So, after a couple hours of compiling a face on the computer based on the facial descriptions Nile and Pixis took notes of, they were finally able to compile a final rendering of what this criminal might look like, roughly. As soon as they got an image, the detectives printed out the picture and when it processed and the paper finished printing, Nile was the first to rush from across the office and approach the printer to grab the paper.

"Pixis, the sketch is done, come see this," Nile said as he turned his head back and called out to his partner. Nile He turned his head back around and looked down at the picture to inspect what they were working with, and suddenly he felt Pixis' presence standing behind him a couple seconds after. They both looked at the picture and then turned their heads to look at each other, realizing that they just got their first lead for this case.

Having a physical description will move the investigation along tremendously, and they had a feeling it'll be solved in no time. Nile handed the picture to Pixis, and the detective narrowed his eyes in concentration as he had the same realization as his partner. They were both thinking the same thing.

"We got him," Pixis said with determination, inspecting how unsightly this picture was. This didn't look like any normal person. Their features were rugged, harsh, and almost deformed in a way. He can't imagine how it must have looked in person. The details were too real for anything that they've seen for any recent cases they've done, but they knew that if they had a physical description of him, they'll catch him in no time.
