jake's head is about to crack open.

it's been exactly three hours and he's been drinking all sorts of alcohol- courtesy of geonu- and now he feels like dying.

crap, am i gonna die of alcohol poisoning?

"no- jungwon stop changing the music!" sunoo yelled.

it's already past 11 pm, and the party is still going at their blockmate's house.

"shut up! no one wants to hear your crappy ass music choice!" jungwon yelled back with louder voice. oh great, jungwon's probably drunk too.

jake groaned as he struggles to find his way towards the couch. he sighed in relief and sat down, finally escaping from geonu.

"oh no, don't tell me you're drunk too? i don't want to take care of you guys all by myself."

he chuckled when he heard daniel's complain. the guy sits beside him, holding a bag of chips on his hand.

"i'm still sober, don't worry," jake giggles.

daniel looked at him with disappointment. "judging from the way you giggled in front of me, you're definitely drunk." he stood up.

"don't go anywhere okay? i'll just find geonu and then we'll go home." jake just nodded at his friend although he couldn't understand what he said.

sunghoon almost cursed himself. he didn't expect that he'd be unconsciously grabbing his car keys and driving all the way to gyeonggi-do at this hour just to check on a drunk guy.

but the thing is, this isn't just some random drunk guy.

he sighed as he parked his car on the opposite side of the road, near the venue of the party. he surveyed the street for any familiar face before he got out of his car.

if ni-ki sees me right now, that kid will definitely say something.

sunghoon walked slowly. faint music can be heard inside the house, so the party's probably still going on.

"sunghoon?"

"shit-" he almost jumped when someone tapped his shoulder, but his eyebrows furrowed when he saw who it was.

"heeseung? what the hell are you doing here?"

his friend just shrugged, completely ignoring his question. "why are you here?"

this shit. "i asked you the same question, don't try to outsmart me."

"nevermind, i already know the answer." heeseung smirked. "jake, huh? you better be sure about that."

he glared at him. "what about you? are you here to make sure your tutee gets home safe? that's sweet, i didn't know tutors nowadays act like boyfriends."

now it was heeseung's turn to glare at him.

"heeseung...sunghoon?" they both stopped talking when they heard jay's voice behind them.

"why are you two here?" jay walked in front of them. ni-ki closely follows behind him, grinning.

they remained silent.

"ni-ki and i are here because we'll take our boyfriends home. now you two," he pointed at them with his fingers. "do you have a boyfriend here?"

"hell no." heeseung was quick to answer. "we just decided to go incase you guys need help."

ni-ki lets out a laugh while looking at sunghoon before speaking.

"yeah, i actually told sunghoon to come here to, uh- help the others."

jay nodded but he didn't look convinced. "okay, if you say so. let's go inside."

"oh great," sunghoon mumbled. they already got inside the party's venue, and it looks like a storm just passed by.

jay sighed and went close to jungwon who's already passed out on the sofa with geonu. sunoo's still jumping around, and is now clinging unto ni-ki.

"sorry, i tried stopping them but they totally ignored my existence when the party started." daniel groaned.

sunghoon looked at jake who is just quietly sitting in the corner.

"thanks for taking care of them, dan. we'll drive them home so it won't be a hassle for you." jay smiled at daniel as he wake jungwon up.

daniel nodded. "no worries, i'm used to it. drive safely."

"i can drive jake to his apartment." sunghoon spoke, earning looks of shock and confusion from jay and daniel.

"uh, sure. but do you know where that is?"

he nods at daniel. jay clears his throat and mumbles a quick goodbye before taking jungwon outside. ni-ki followed, grinning at him while he and sunoo went out.

he just ignored them and walked towards jake who still hasn't said a word since they arrived.

"careful, he speaks nonstop physics for hours." daniel warned.

nonstop...physics?

"jake? you're drunk. let's get you home."

the guy immediately stood up and walked towards outside, leaving him. great.

"hey, wait-" sunghoon walked fast to catch up. he even heard daniel saying goodluck to him.

"jake!" he grabbed his arm to stop the guy from walking away. they were almost in the middle of the road again. just how drunk is this guy?

"how the hell do you even walk so fast? let's get you home."

he stopped talking when he realized that jake was staring at him. "what's wrong?"

"sunghoon, i like you."

.....what?

he let go of jake's arm when he noticed the look on his face. is he... serious? or is he just drunk?

"i'm not interested."

no, scratch that. not yet. sunghoon inhaled sharply. i don't trust any word coming from a guy who's drunk.

but if he says that while he's sober, then maybe, just maybe, i'll believe it.
