jake just stared at his two friends in front of him. summer ended and the first semester of their third year just started.

"you shit," geonu muttered when daniel drank his sprite. he was about to hit the boy when jungwon stopped him.

"that's enough, you two." jungwon checked his wristwatch. "it's already past 1, should we go to our class?"

jake shook his head as he finish drinking his milkshake. "nope, we still don't have a class since it's only the second day."

geonu clapped his hands. "let's go shopping instead."

"don't you have tutoring lessons with heeseung?" daniel asked.

jake can't help but laugh. when daniel knew about the whole tutor thing, he immediately told jungwon. then jungwon told sunoo, and sunoo did not waste time to inform everyone in the group chat.

not that it even matters anymore, because only hanbin hyung was left uninformed about it. jake laughed again.

geonu rolled his eyes. "it's fine, we barely even met during the summer break. he just sent me some notes and told me to study for it."

daniel shrugged and continued to eat. minutes later, sunoo was running towards them.

"guys!" sunoo quickly went closer towards their table. "we'll have our block party later!"

geonu stood up, getting excited. "wait really?! that means i can drink again! yes!"

he groaned as he remembered what happened the last time he got drunk. yeah, never again. jake opened his phone to check if there's any notification, but there's none. he's probably already in class right now.

when jake looked up, he caught sunoo glancing at him with a teasing smile.

sunoo never mentioned anything to their friends about him and sunghoon. the guy also never asked him about it, and jake's actually really thankful for that.

jungwon cleared his throat. "do we have to attend? i'm not in the mood for parties."

"but when jay's around you're always in the mood? bestie that's whipped culture." jungwon just rolled his eyes at sunoo's reply.

"anyways, we're all gonna attend okay? it's a must."

sunoo stopped talking and waved at someone. jake looked at his back, only to see heeseung and nicholas walking.

"hello!" nicholas walked closer to talk to them. "you guys don't have classes yet? that's so lucky."

heeseung was trailing behind him, muttering a greeting as he eyed someone. jake sipped on his milkshake again, following heeseung's line of sight.

he almost coughed when he realized that he's looking at his oblivious best friend who's busy bickering with daniel.

i must say, whatever geonu's trick is- i think it's effective. he finally caught his crush's attention.

jake kicked geonu's foot under the table. "idiot, heeseung's here."

geonu's eyes widened and he finally let go of daniel's hair. he straightened on his seat and gave heeseung a sweet smile.

what the fuck is this stupid guy even doing? jake was about to comment but he just kept his mouth shut.

nicholas and heeseung left after a few minutes because they still have a class. geonu pouted when heeseung didn't even greet him.
