jake tossed his phone on the bed, letting himself rest on the floor of his bedroom.

he just spent two hours cleaning his apartment, wiping every dust he has seen. it's been approximately five days since the start of the summer break, and all he's been doing was stay inside the four corners of his apartment.

he's bored.

he's bored, but he doesn't want to do anything.

i wish i brought layla here. he thought of going home just so he could take his dog, but he doesn't want his parents to think that he's lying on being busy with his studies.

"if you're bored, just text me."

he immediately shook his head when a voice crossed his mind. hell no, i don't want to bother him. he's probably doing something important right now.

but he said i can text him. he stared at the ceiling. it took him a couple of minutes to contemplate.

jake stood up and grabbed his phone. whatever, i'll just do it.

jake's busy fixing his hair when he heard the door bell.

crap, he's already here?

he quickly grabbed his things and opened the door, revealing sunghoon- who is holding gaeul in his arms. he's wearing a plain striped t-shirt and a cap.

i get why sunoo was head over heels for this man. he literally looks like a manhwa character. he snapped out of his thoughts and let the guy inside his apartment.

thank goodness i cleaned this place. jake smiled as gaeul runs towards him, sniffing.

"hello there, little one." he crouched down as he greets the dog.

"she likes you." he chuckles at sunghoon's remark.

"yeah, i think so too." he glanced at sunghoon. "let's go?"

the other nodded. "no need to use your car, i brought mine."

"okay, but how can i get back-"

"i'll also drop you here later, don't worry." sunghoon assured him.

jake bit his lower lip, reminding himself that this is nothing. this is just friends, hanging out together. okay? okay.

"gaeul! come here," sunghoon watched as jake played with gaeul.

he looks like he's enjoying this. he shrugged. he actually didn't know where to bring jake, and they settled for a park near the university.

but he looks like he's having fun. he smiled a bit when jake waved at him, grinning.

"i'm hungry," jake grunted as he went back to their spot, holding his dog's leash on his hand.

"you were running around non stop since we got here. of course you'd be hungry."

"it's your dog's fault. how can a tiny animal be this energetic? even my dog doesn't have this much energy."

he just chuckled and stood up. "where do you want to eat?"

jake paused, thinking. "i don't know, you choose."

"no, you choose."

"but i'm okay with anything. anywhere's fine."

sunghoon sighed, feeling defeated. he stood up, removing the dirt from his pants.

jake was ready to walk when gaeul started to run again, causing the leash he was holding to be pulled.

"hey gaeul wait—!" he gripped the leash tighter around his hand and tried to walk faster but cursed when he tripped on a stone.

he closed his eyes as he expected himself to fall towards the ground, but he didn't.

wait, huh? i didn't fall?

"be careful, will you? you're so clumsy."

jake swallowed hard as he stared at sunghoon, who is now grabbing his waist and preventing him not to hit his face on the ground. not to mention that his face is also inches away from him.

sunghoon finally lets go of him. he also took the leash from jake's hand and carried his dog instead.

jake feels like he got burned from sunghoon's touch. it's as if he can still feel his hand on his waist.

this is bad. real bad.

meanwhile, sunghoon quietly stares at his hand. there's the weird feeling again. what the hell was that?
