jake shook his head as he heard geonu mumble for the third time. they're having a study session in his apartment, but geonu seems to be preoccupied by something else.

"geonu, learn to mind your own business. stop gossiping and focus on studying for the test will you?" he shifted on his seat.

"jake, i can't. my life's too boring anyways. and if you were there, you would've seen how jay glared at that youngbin guy." geonu clicked his pen to prove a point.

he rolled his eyes. "you're just exaggerating things." jake went back to reading his notes while geonu laid down on his bed.

after a while, jake's phone vibrated-signalling a text. he stared at the phone when he saw who texted him. is this a joke? what does he want again?

"it's just hyuk." he tried to appear calm.

"liar, i know you still haven't saved your brother's contact number on your phone." geonu went closer to interrogate. "if you tell me right now, i'll help you get together."

haha, as if. i don't even want to be with him.

he shook his head. "no thanks, and it's really not what you're thinking."

"you think i'd believe that? i'm not stupid." geonu raised an eyebrow at him.

"you're not?" jake stifled a laugh when geonu threw him a pillow.

"okay, if you really don't wanna tell me, that's fine. but jake, don't forget what i always say." the boy stared at him.

"it's always the smart ones who become stupid when it comes to love. i know you won't fall for that bullshit but still, guard your heart okay?"

jake smiled and nodded. "i know, geonu. i know."

jake grunted, walking straight ahead into the corridors. he's not late, but he doesn't like it when the professor arrives first before him.

he stopped on his track when he spotted two familiar figures getting near him.

it's too early for this, why am i always seeing him everywhere? this is getting annoying.

"good morning jake!" nicholas waved at him, beaming brightly. sunghoon who was standing behind him, just nodded as an acknowledgement.

"morning, what are you guys doing here?"

"we visited the student council to check on the bulletin board for engineering." sunghoon replied, but jake didn't dare to spare him a glance.

"oh, okay."

nicholas gave him a pat on the back. "anyways, we still have a class so we'll get going. see you!"

he smiled and nodded. when sunghoon passed by beside him, he could smell his faint woody scent. now why in the worlds am i smelling him? jake, get a grip will you?

"good luck on your test."

jake almost froze in his spot when he heard sunghoon's soft voice. it was just a whisper and he almost didn't hear it. he said goodluck. he remembered that i have a test. good Lord.

he turned his head and was about to reply, but sunghoon is already walking far away from him.

i think i'll get a perfect score later.
