jake huffed as he put geonu's backpack inside the trunk of daniel's car. they're only waiting for sunoo, ni-ki, and sunghoon to arrive before they leave.

when sunghoon and sunoo arrived together, jake felt somehow happy that sunghoon's finally trying his best to show sunoo his feelings. atleast he's stepping up his game.

he pat daniel's back when he heard him sigh.

"sheesh daniel, you should try to be bold sometimes. you know sunoo, he's an idiot when it comes to figuring out people's feelings." geonu said while getting inside the backseat.

jake eyed him from the passenger seat, telling him to shut up.

daniel chuckled. "nah, he's not. the only thing he's bad at is figuring out his own feelings. but other people? he can read them easily. he's just pretending that he's dense."

"what? so he knows you like him?" geonu asked, getting confused.

"maybe. maybe not. who knows?" daniel laughed and started driving, following the van in front of them.

jake stared at him. this is why i prefer studying instead. love is complicated.

"geonu! you're supposed to carry this, you little shit-" jake glared at his friend who just ran inside the cabin, ignoring his rant.

he stared at the two boxes of drinks inside the trunk. fine, i can carry this. he started walking towards their cabin, carrying the two boxes.

he was in the middle of concentrating not to drop the boxes when someone took them from his arms.

"jake right? let me help you," heeseung spoke softly while holding the boxes effortlessly.

"thanks." he mumbled. he wasn't close to any of hanbin's dance club members, so he doesn't really know how to start a conversation.

"i hope you're having fun. i bet hanbin just dragged you guys here," heeseung talked again.

he nodded. "yeah. you know him, he's pretty adamant about it. although i prefer staying inside my room, this is also good." i hope i didn't talk too much.

heeseung laughed, looking amused. "you do look like you're the type of person to love studying."

"it's because i am that type of person." jake looked at him.

"oh." heeseung stared back at him. "me too." they both chuckled when he said that.

they stopped talking when geonu interrupted them, dragging jake away because he wanted to swim.

after a while, they started preparing and cooking for their lunch. most of the time, sunghoon and sunoo were doing things together. he's really grabbing the chance huh. good for him.

"what the actual hell dongkyu! this is an attempted murder!" jake laughed when he saw geonu struggling to get out of the pool, while daniel's just laughing at him.

"not my fault you can't swim."

"not my fault sunoo doesn't like yo-" geonu stopped speaking when daniel pulled him underwater.

"hey! please try not to kill each other!" hanbin yelled from inside the cabin.

"go daniel! snap his neck!" jungwon cheered. taki is also clapping his hands, clearly entertained.

i think i'm gonna witness a murder unfold in front of me if i don't stop them.

he went closer to the side of the pool. "okay guys that's enough wwe for today," he tried to stop the two, but he was ignored.

he got startled when geonu splashed water on his face. "geonu!" he took a step back, unaware that sunghoon is passing by behind him with a drink in his hand.

"shit, i'm sorry," he quickly apologized when the drink spilled on sunghoon's shirt.

the guy had no expression on his face, so jake doesn't know if he's mad or not.

"no, it's okay," sunghoon was about to grab the towel near the lounger, but jake handed him his instead.

"here, you can use this. i'm really sorry."

sunghoon had no choice but to accept it. he wiped the towel over his shirt, trying to get the stain away. "you don't have to say sorry twice. it's really fine." he smiled a little.

okay. but why is it so awkward? jake smiled too, trying to lighten the atmosphere. he was about to speak again when he saw the guy staring at something. or rather, someone.

jake looked behind him just to see ni-ki walking towards them while sunoo is smiling beside him.

now this is awkward.

"yo jakey, do you think ni-ki likes sunoo too?" geonu asked out of curiosity.

jake shifted on his bed. "how would i know that? try asking ni-ki."

"i would do that, but the guy looks like he punches people as a hobby." he snorted at his friend's reply.

geonu went closer to his bed, sitting on the edge. "okay but how did sunoo even manage to pull three guys? three-holy crap i don't even have one."

jake rolled his eyes and tried to kick him but he doesn't budge. "can you please let me sleep? hanbin hyung! geonu's pestering me!"

hanbin, who just came from the bathroom, raised an eyebrow at them.

"stop talking about other people and go to sleep."

"right. sure hyung, as you wish." geonu stood up and went back to his bed.

finally. jake was about to close his eyes, when he remembered his sweater. crap, i left it outside. but i don't wanna go out now.

after having second thoughts, he proceeded to go outside to get his sweater. he shivered, feeling the cold air against his skin.

his heart almost jumped when he saw ni-ki running back to their cabin. sheesh, why was he running at a time like this?

"ah, found you." he murmured to himself as he grabbed the sweater that's lying on the grass, near the garden.

"i like you."

he quickly ducked behind the bush when he heard a familiar voice.

what? did i hear that right?

"sunghoon...."

it's sunoo's voice. so sunghoon's confessing? jake covered his mouth so that he wouldn't create a noise.

"it's okay. you don't need to answer me. i just wanted to tell you that." sunoo's probably hesitating. but why? i thought he likes him?

"anyways, sleep well sun. i'll see you tomorrow."

he heard footsteps, so they're probably going back to their cabin now. jake sighed in relief. why did i have to hear that?

"what are you doing?" he froze in his place. please tell me he didn't see me.

"jake right? what are you doing there?" he looked back, seeing sunghoon with a blank expression on his face.

he laughed. "i...uh, was just admiring the flowers! wow, they're so pretty." he pretends to smell the bush.

"at this hour? also, there's no flowers on that bush..." sunghoon looked at him with concern.

crap. i'm so bad at lying.

"hahaha i suddenly got so sleepy, anyways-bye!" he got up and dashed into his cabin, leaving the guy.

when he finally got inside the cabin, he realized something.

i forgot my sweater. great.
