Chapter Ten

Selena's POV:

The ringing in my pocket paused Justin and I from elaborating on what had just come out of his mouth and what we just did.

"Selena, honey. I need you to come home." My mom spoke softly, I was worried it was something bad that had happened and I instantly worried about my father. But the calmness in her voice reassured me otherwise and that she just simply wanted me home.

"Is everything okay? I'm on my way." I stood up from the blanket frowning at the loss of touch of mine and Justin's hands.

"Yes dear, everything is fine, I would just like you home. I have something for you." She chuckled. I smiled at that even though she couldn't see it.

"Hey mom, is it okay if Justin comes with me?" I asked, shooting my eyes to Justin who was shaking his head in denial. He whispered how he didn't want to interrupt but I rolled my eyes and ignored it. He's coming with me. I'm not ready to leave him just yet.

"Of course honey, he's always welcome here."I smiled and hung up the phone.

"Don't try and weasel your way out of this one, my mom said you are always welcome at our house." I smirked, pointing my finger at Justin.

He smirked at me and stood up, "Well we better clean this up and get going then." He began placing things back in the basket and folding the blanket up. We grabbed everything and began our walk to my house.

We walked up to my lawn and I noticed a car in the driveway, it wasn't my dads and my moms was parked on the road. I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"I wonder who is here." I muttered, pulling on Justin's hand for us to hurry and get into the house.

"Mom! I'm home!" I yelled. My mom came running out of the kitchen with a big smile on her face, her pearly whites on full display.

"Hi honey! Hi Justin! How are you honey?" She hugged Justin, making me giggle, my mom just adores him.

"I'm good Mrs. Gomez." He smiled. She patted his shoulder, "Oh honey, please call me Maria." Justin nodded his head at her and smiled.

"Selena honey, there's people here to see you." My mom smiled. I furrowed my brows looking around, I didn't see anyone in the house. "They are sitting on the back deck." She giggled.

I looked at Justin and grabbed his hand, pulling himย  with me through the house. I pulled the sliding door open and gasped at the sight in front of me. Tears instantly welled up in my eyes.

"Oh my gosh, Steph, Mark, what are you doing here?" I smiled and wiped some of my tears off my face. Justin was watching me in concern.

"Selena babe!" Steph exclaimed, jumping out of the chair to come hug me, she wrapped her arms around me and I closed my eyes as I rested my head in her shoulder, taking her presence in.

"How are you love?" She smiled, pushing my hair out of my face for me.ย  "I'm doing good. How are you? I missed you guys so much!"

"Oh, you know how life is, busy as always! But we are doing much better, we wanted to come pay you a visit because we found something that belongs to you." She reached in her purse and pulled out a little blue box with a bow on the top and an envelope.

I looked at her with wide eyes, I think I know what it is.

I opened the box and gasped, it was a beautiful silver ring, it was really thin and dainty. It has tiny white diamonds lining all around the ring.

A tearย  poured down my cheek as my shaky fingers pulled it out of the box. I pulled the old one off and replaced it with the new one. I was always terrified it would break and I would lose it.ย

I looked up at Steph and smiled small, "I had feeling that's what it was." She whispered.ย  "Me too." I smiled as the tears poured down my face.

I looked at Justin who was still looking as confused as ever, but was adoring the beautiful ring on my finger.ย  "Open this." Steph handed me the envelop. I wasn't sure if I was mentally prepared to read this.

Selena,

I love you, I love you so much. You won't get this until after Ive passed, but I have had this ring for you for months. I was walking in the mall and seen it in the jewelry store window, it screamed your name, I knew someone as beautiful as you needed this. Although the ring doesn't compare to your endless beauty, it is the last thing I am able to give you, the last piece of me. Ive held this ring close to my heart for many nights, trying to put all the love I have for you into it. Hoping that whenever you need me, you look at this ring and feel me right next you. Ive asked my mom to give this to you once you were in a good place in your life. I wanted you happy when you got this, and I guess right now is the moment she has seen you the happiest since Ive left. I know the original one I gave you is going to fall apart any day now, you truly never took it off, and that means the world to me. I'll be watching over you, I'll be right next to you all the time, just call my name and I'll be right with you. I'll miss seeing you, hearing you laugh, talk, scream, cry. I'll miss everything about you. I'm going to try my hardest to put someone in your life that will love you and take care of you like I did. I want them to go to the ends of the earth to try to keep you, love you, hold you, cherish you.
I want them to have the same heart as you, have your hearts beat as one, just like ours did.

I love you more than life itself, don't ever forget how much I love you and how much I love watching over you.

See you in another life time baby.

Your angel,

Tyler

I dropped to me knees, sobbing into the handwritten note Tyler had left for me. This was my last piece of him, something I will have forever. Something I'll cherish for the rest of my life and never let go.

"Selena, baby, what's wrong." Justin dropped to his knees and pulled me into his arms. I wrapped my arms around his neck and spoke into his ear, "It's Tyler." Justin pulled back and looked at me with furrowed brows. "Are those-" "Tyler's parents, yes." I interrupted.

I absolutely adore Tyler's parents, they took me in like I was one of their own, I was at their house so much they ended up putting a little bedroom down in their basement for me. I would do my homework there. Nap there if I wanted to. They took such good care of me. They were my second parents.

Tyler has his moms piercing blue eyes and kind smiled but other than that, he looked just like his father, blond hair, slim but fit build, they could have passed for twins, his father on the other hand had brown eyes. Kind of like Justin's, but if I'm being honest. I like Justin's better.

"Hey kid, come here." Mark motioned for me to go over to him. I slid out of Justin's arms and walked over to Mark, he engulfed me in a hug. And for a moment, he felt just like Tyler. I started sobbing into his shirt. "I miss him so much."ย  He rubbed my back and I could hear the crack in his voice as he started to cry, "Me too kid. Me too."

"Let's go for dinner. I'll call Julian and he will meet us at the restaurant after work. He should be done in about half an hour." My mom spoke up, trying to keep herself from crying as well. We all agreed and started to get ready for dinner.

Justin and I were standing in my room I was trying to find something to wear to dinner. "Sel, I don't want to interrupt your dinner, I felt like I was interrupting a very special moment down stairs." Justin sighed, taking a seat on my bed.

I walked over to him and placed a hand on his cheek, tingles instantly shooting up my hand. "Justin, you are not interrupting anything. I'm glad you were here for that, I wouldn't have had you stay if I didn't want you there. You have no idea how you make me feel. You're like my rock. You keep me sane, you make me feel special, you make my heart pound and my head spin, you make any situation better, and you help keep me happy. Genuinely happy. If that doesn't say how much I appreciate and wanted you here then I don't know what to tell you." I sighed.

Justin just looked at me, and I have never seen this look in his eyes before. His mouth was slightly gaped open as he looked at me in awe. His eyes radiating an emotion I have never seen from him before. He stood up, using his hands to hold my face, he pulled me to him quickly and without a second to even put together what was happening, his lips crashed onto mine.

My lips went tingly from the sensations he was giving me, I melted into him, wrapping my arms around his neck. He used a hand to pull my waist closer to him. I pressed my lips harder into his, trying to show him what I am feeling through this kiss. I ran my fingers through his hair, pulling and tugging on the ends. He groaned into my mouth and turned us so my knees were hitting the bed. He pushed us down and gently laid on top of me.

My legs were on either side of his hips, he pushed his hips gently against mine. Removing his lips from mine he started trailing kisses down my jaw and below my ear, making me go into fits of giggles from the feeling.ย  He popped his head up to look at me, a huge smile spread across his face.

"You're ticklish?" He chuckled. I nodded my head and ran my fingers over the spot his lips once were. "We had to stop anyways." I sighed. I'm not ready for anything intimate. I don't think I accept myself enough to allow anyone to see me in that state. Justin nodded in agreement and he helped me stand up off the bed.

"You should wear this." I turned around to see Justin pointing to the dress I had hanging on the back of my door. It was a light pink suede dress. It went all the way up to my neck but had a little triangle cut out below the collar to show the perfect amount of cleavage. The sleeves ended at the edge of my shoulder, showing my bare arms. It went to just above my knees.

I nodded in agreement and grabbed my worn out jean jacket and white adidas shoes to go with it. I ran to the bathroom to change. When I looked at myself in the mirror I seen something I hadn't in a long time. Happiness. I felt like I was genuinely in a good place. I was happy with my life. Although I miss Tyler more than anything in the world, I feel okay right now. I know he's always near me.

I brushed my long locks and left them in their natural auburn waves. I quickly put some mascara on and a little bit of lip gloss and I went to meet Justin in my room.

His back was to me when I walked out. I looked at how strong and muscular he looked through his shirt and I couldn't help but get an eruption of butterflies in my stomach. I walked up slowly behind him and I rubbed my hands over his shoulders, down his arms, then down his back and wrapped them around his lower stomach, hugging his back to me.

He placed his hands over mind and rubbed them soothingly. I smiled against his back and nuzzled my face into his shoulder blade. This boy is my comfort.

"We should get going." He sighed, slowing pulling my arms away enough for him to turn around and face me. He let my hands fall back around his hips and he placed his hands on my cheeks, pulling my face up to look at him.

I watched his eyes scan over my face as if he as reading my soul, remembering it, embracing it, devouring it. He could look right through me. His eyes kept bouncing back and fourth between my eyes and my lips, and as he licked his, I took a deep breath.

He slowly leaned in and placed his lips gently on mine. Slowly pushing them against mine, showing me how much he cared through this kiss. I melted into him, pulling him closer to me. I tried my hardest to show him what I was as feeling with this kiss.

When people say they get fireworks in their stomach, I now understand what they mean. The nerves and emotions just swirl and bang around inside you and it feels like they can't come out. They leave you with a feeling of tingles that take over your entire body, and it's something you would imagine fireworks would feel like, if they weren't deadly.

He slowly licked my bottom lip, asking me for entrance, which I gladly allowed. His smooth tongue slowly glided against mine, taking in the feeling of our mouths becoming one, I was starting to realize I really need him. I couldn't imagine not having Justin around me. Even when we are apart for only an hour at lunch for practice, while he's away I feel a little empty inside.

He slowly pulled away, pecking my lips three times before placing a gentle kiss on my forehead.

I closed my eyes at his touch and enjoyed the sensation that came over my skin where we just had contact.

"I could kiss you forever." He smirked, using his fingers to slowly move a loose strand of hair from out of my face and tuck it behind my ear.

I smiled and nodded in agreement and grabbed his hand. "We need to go now." I giggled, pulling him down the stairs.

"Oh honey! You look amazing!" My mom smiled, clapping her hands together. "Thank you so much!" I blushed. My moms faced dropped slightly, "I was actually talking about Justin." I let out a gasp and crossed my arms, frowning.

Justin bent over in hysterics, the laughter was so contagious, I couldn't help but join in. My mom giggled at us and placed a hand on my shoulder, "I'm just kidding, although he does look cute as a button." She smirked, winking at me.

I smiled at her and looked over at the laughing Justin. He was wiping tears from his eyes, although it wasn't that funny, it was clear he needed a good laugh, and oh boy am I glad I got to witness the beautiful smile on this boy. The way his eyes crinkle and his pearly whites are on full display, it makes my heart melt.

I would do anything to see that again.
