A few hours had passed since Gozuki had informed Green, Poney, and Akira of the current plan. As two people of Gozuki's friends were scouting out the Oarburghs hideout, one of them had arrived at the shack they were staying and stepped inside to catch up with Gozuki. It was a buff man with a spiky beard and two pointy hairs on the side of his head. His name is Shuten, one of the Four Rakshasas Demons from the Temple of the Imperial Fist.

Shuten: "It appears the recently arrived spies of Sweun have already been captured by the enemy."

Gozuki: "The enemy has taken to more violent methods. They certainly won't hold back with Akira and Poney, not after they got away once."

Shuten: "We can't send any new spies into Sweun...they'll only get killed. So I guess all we can do is sit tight for a few days until Suzuka comes with that medicine."

One of the Four Rakshasas Demons, Suzuka, had infiltrated the Oarburghs lair. Inside, the woman was able to locate the holding cell they were holding Akame and Kurome, having found out that the two sisters were infected with insects in their bodies by Merraid.

So for now, all they had to do was wait for Suzuka to retrieve the insecticide from Doctor Stylish and hand it to the two sisters.  

Shuten: "My injuries should be fully healed by then too, so the timing is perfect."

Gozuki: (sips sake cup) "While we're 'sitting tight'...we could also give the police descriptions of the Oarburghs."

Shuten: "That'll do no good once they disguise themselves. The police will completely miss them."

Gozuki: "So? It'll make them think we're desperately looking for them too. I mean, we've already found their hideout."

Shuten: "I see."

Gozuki: (sweat drops) "By the way, will Mez be all right on her own keeping an eye on the hideout?"

Shuten: "She may be your daughter, but you musn't dote on her. She's got a good head on her shoulders. As good as the kids you raised."

Shuten then looks towards the three Elite Seven kids with a terrifying grin, causing Poney and Green to shiver under his gaze. Akira, not so much.

Poney: "Daddy's friend sure is stern. His gaze is so intense."

Akira: "Since he's helping out, we'll have to trust him." 

Green: "In any case, we'll just have to do what we can until our surprise attack."

The two sat in front of Green, their eyes trailing lower down to his hands. In his Green's hands were pestle and mortar, some herbs in it that he was grinding. Poney then puts her hand on her chin as she narrows her eyes, like she was in a thinking position.

Poney: "A medicine that works against insects...you think it'll work?"

Akira: "It has to."

Green: "If it works even a little bit, we'll have reason to celebrate."

Akira: "But Suzuka-san's report did sound promising."

Green: "I feel better hearing that everyone's being treated well, and it sounds like they'll be able to take care of that matter with the eggs. But at the same time, I have a whole new worry. She was saying something about 'the right way for girls to love one another'..."

Poney: (devious grin) "You could always be a man and save her. That just might win Akame's heart."

From what Poney said, Green's thought process seemed to have froze as he was unresponsive. Even when Poney and Akira had got up from their seats and start snapping their fingers and waving their hands in front of him.

While this was happening, Kurome was currently locked in the cell she and her sister were to be held in. While she seemed to be fine, Natala on the other hand wasn't. The blonde boy had been going through numerous sessions of torture, many of the injuries inflicted upon him being life threatening. All while this happened, Akame and Kurome were being lied to as they were ensured that Natala was unharmed.

Akame on the other hand was somewhat being interrogated by Merraid Oarburgh, as in the woman keeping watch over her, but she'd take her out of the hideout every now and then. This would happen for a few days, Merraid taking Akame from town to town in the area. Like the towns her and the Elite Seven have visited, many of the townsmen were rebelling and complaining about the current state of the Empire. And it was like what Akira had previously discussed with her. Were the things they were doing really making a difference? Were they really bringing happiness to the people?

At a time like this, the red-eyed girl did wish to speak to her icy blue-eyed partner about this. She knew talking about this to Kurome was completely out of the window, considering that Kurome is completely devoted to the Empire. And like her partner, the questions she and Akira began to have weeks ago began to recirculate in her mind. Now, she was wondering if she should make the decision of leaving with everyone, but the same problems arised. Poney, Kurome, and Natala would be difficult to convince as they are loyal to Gozuki and the Empire. However, Akira and Green were a different case. Akira began to question and Green did agree with some of her views, but the only reason he'll remain is to keep everyone safe. Things were clearly troublesome for her as she was deep in thought. 

While Akame was being held captive, Merraid seemed to be training her as well, so Akame took this opportunity to study her every move. Because, as soon as they get their opening, Akame would take the chance to escape and end Merraid Oarburgh herself.

Five days after the day the Suekuni Trade Firm was attacked, the day of the raid came. During the past few days before it, Akira knew he couldn't waste his time moping, so he used this time to train and increase his stamina, remembering Esdeath's words. Suzuka had buried the insecticide somewhere in the hideout, of which Akame would later retrieve and the two sisters would drink it. Back at the shack, the four Rakshasas Demons had gathered in the shack. They were then introduced to the rest. The blonde of the four is Mez, Gozuki's actual blood daughter. The black haired woman is Suzuka and the other male is named Ibara.

Ibara: "Heh heh heh. I'm on fire knowing that we'll be taking on the strongest association of assassins out there."

Suzuka: "I've confirmed that the spot where I buried the insecticide was dug up by Akame. And I've already communicated to her when we'll be making our attack."

Gozuki: "Good...all we have to do is make our move at nightfall."

Shuten: "Let's free those murderers' souls from the bad karma they've racked up for themselves."

Gozuki: "Our wounds have healed. Now to pay the Oarburghs back."

Outside on the cliff overlooking the hideout of the Oarburghs, Mez stood with the three children of the Elite Seven. Gin's sword rested on Akira's shoulder as he held the handle, a stern look on his face.

Poney: "Tonight we make our move."

Green: "I hope they're okay."

Akira: "Don't worry. They're tough."

Mez: "Yeah. I believe that too."

Green: "Are you sure you're okay to do this mission, Akira? You get plenty of rest?"

Akira: "Yeah. Couldn't waste the whole time healing moping around."

Poney: "I just hope the anti-insect drugs work."

Green: "It's more like a good luck charm."

Akira: "If anything, it should put our minds at ease."

Mez: "Nobody better die!"

Poney: (butting heads with Mez) "Who the hell are you, anyway!?"

Mez: (also butting heads with Poney) "The great Mez-sama, your sister-in-law!"

Akira: (confused) "Huh? 'in-law'...?"

Mez: "Yep. The old man's my biological father. And your foster dad! So let's work together to pull off this mission! You can lean on me!"

Akira nods and then brings Gin's sword off his shoulder, having the blade's surface face in front of him. He grips the handle of it tightly, closing his eyes as he takes a deep breath.

Akira: (quietly) "Gin...for this fight...please...grant me your strength."

Timeskip-Night

Soon, the Elite Seven and the Four Rakashasa Demons gather outside the cabin and face the Oarburgh hideout. Jumping off the overlook and landing on the ground, they then dash, running at full speed towards the compound.

Gozuki: "Let's go! Get ready for this, Oarburghs!"
