14| Mission Commences
Sorry if this chapter is shorter than the last one, but there were a lot less pages to adapt. At most, a chapter in the manga is 20 or slightly more than that. Sometimes there is 30 in a chapter.

Outside the area of Potulu, Gozuki had the remnants of the Elite Seven meet in the briefing tent. Everyone was there, except Guy, the burly teen using the Rare Suit and was underground.
Gozuki: "There may be guards around the town, but normally they would not approach the tomb themselves. The tomb's location is quite a distance."
Najasho: "In other words, if we can get rid of the Gravekeepers, we can get our hands on the treasure."
Akira: "At the very least, we don't have to involve innocent people."
Green: "But right now, we lack intelligence. Without a map of the tomb, I doubt we will make such progress no matter how many lives we throw in."
Poney: "There probably will be a lot of traps..."
Akira noticed that Akame kept shifting around awkwardly in the back. It was only natural though. Akame was quite concerned for her younger sister.
Gozuki: "The map we got from the town only showed the first level of the tombs. I'm surprised they thought about this."
Najasho: "In the end, it seems that we underestimated our opponents."
Gozuki: "In the meantime, let's just wait until Guy comes back from underground. The other groups are also busy collecting information. Let's make our move when we know more about what we're up against."
Akame: "In-In order to gather more intelligence, let's make our first move and draw their attention! Let me enter the tombs to distract them. How is that?"
Gozuki: "Under the current circumstances, we can't take a risk losing you guys and attack first."
This causes Akame to look down and grit her teeth in frustration. Green was the first to notice, looking at her worriedly. Akira noticed it as well, but he did nothing. He still felt conflicted about what happened with Cornelia.
Gozuki: "But, it seems like we don't have a choice. Understand?"
Akame looked shocked, but she soon brightened up. Najasho seemed to understand.
Najasho: "So we draw them out. Then?"
Poney: (confused) "Draw them out?"
Akira: (deadpan) "Lure them out, dumbass."
Poney: "I-I knew that!"
Gozuki: "Let two people enter the area of the tombs. When the Gravekeepers come, capture them. If we can capture them, we'll have ways to dealing with them. Then we'll be able to get a hold of a lot of information."
Akame: "Then let me go, I'll make sure I'll get my hands on them!"
Poney: "I'm going as well!"
Green: "Wait. Poney's personality isn't compatible."
Poney: "Are you suggesting Akira go, then!?"
Akira: "No he's not, idiot. Prometheus isn't suited for silent missions. It's best if Akame and Green go."
Green: "Yeah. Leave this to me and my Sidewinder, and I'll get this done."
Gozuki: "They're right. This mission is more suitable for you, Green. I'll be leaving Akame in your care. Keep an eye on her, and don't let her charge into the tombs like an idiot."
Green: (nods) "All right, I got it."
Poney: "Oi, chief, Akira. Green said my personality isn't compatible, what did he mean?"
Akira: "Considering how excited you are for most things..."
Najasho: "Because if you're like that, chances are you're going to end up killing your prey, right?"
Akira: "Yeah...that."
Poney: "So that's the reason! I am ranked 5th in the assassination squad!"
Najasho and Akira: (thoughts) "...Idiot."
With Guy, the burly man was digging downwards into the tomb, creating an entrance for the rest. Upon arrival, he borrowed through, arriving in the emperor's tomb.
Guy: "This...this is the emperor's tomb? It's so big...they built something this big underground? A place like this...where do I start?"
Before he could even begin to move, something appeared behind him. It jumped down from the ceiling, a loud impact heard behind him.
Guy: "There's something like this around here? Is it a tomb hound?"
The creature let out a roar and lunged it's first forward. But Guy was easily able to dodge it, the beast crashing it's large fist into the ground next to him. The burly man then readies his fist, jumping upwards as he launches his fist upwards, striking the beast's chest.
But it hardly flinched, it turning to look at him. The man was then struck by the creature's tail, causing him to crash into the nearby wall. Using the Rare Suit's ability, he quickly dug underground, the beast now looking for him. From above, Guy bursts through the ceiling and comes falling down, using all of his strength to stomp down on the creature. Landing on top of the head of the creature, the amount of force he put upon it was enough to kill it.
Guy: "Now you know what you're dealing with? Bastard? But this place is too big. Where on Earth do I start looking?"
As Guy took a step forward, there was a false panel below him. With a hole now opened below him, he falls through, at the bottom were a pitfall of spikes. He grits his teeth as he uses the Rare Suit's claws to stop himself from falling. Now grinding to a halt, he looks down and slightly letting out nervous chuckles at his near death experience.
Guy: "Just randomly walking around can be this dangerous..."
Back on the surface, Akame and Green had just left camp. There were awkward silence between the two, Green trying to make some conversation with her.
Green: "Say, Akame."
Akame: (slightly irritated) "What is it?"
Green: "When being captured by the enemy as a hostage, since they took all this effort to capture them, it wouldn't make much sense to kill them right afterwards. Especially since they're girls."
His last comment earned him a glare from Akame. Green nervously gulps.
Green: (thoughts) 'I...I need to be careful of what I say.' "Some records say that if the hostage were forced into marriage with males, then their chances of survival skyrockets. Or becoming a laborer of the other side. Things like that...there are other examples of them surviving as well. I...I can understand that you are anxious, but I think it would be good for you to hold onto some hope."
Akame then looks at Green, slightly shocked. Of course, since he liked the girl, noticing the girl's stare, he started to become nervous.
Green: "Of course, the sooner we get them out, the better. But now, it would be better for us to capture the enemy first."
Akame: (smile) "Yes. Thank you, Green."
Green: (stunned) "Akame..."
The black haired boy blushed at the girl's smile. It brought that fuzzy feeling into his chest every time he saw that. But he let out an alerted noise as him and Akame turned around. Four Gravekeepers had appeared.
Akame: "They're here."
The two then remember what Gozuki told them about the Gravekeepers. Their ability to turn parts of their bodies into plants or animals. Not only that, with the amount of Danger Beast skulls that hang from their neck signify their rank and how dangerous they are.
Three of them had two while the last one had four. They could tell they had dangerous opponents.
???1: "These guys seem to be rather unusual."
???2: "Don't get over confident! Once we circle them, kill them."
Three of the Gravekeepers rush at the two assassins, preparing to use their abilities. Akame begins to unsheathe her Shingu, but she paused when Green's whip, Sidewinder, was flowing in front of them. And in quick succession, the three Gravekeepers were knocked out, Green using his Shingu to quickly subdue them and hopefully take them back for questioning.
Green: "Didn't let you use them. Sorry about that. It's your own fault you ran straight into my attack range."
Akame: "Green..."
Green: "There's one left." (pushes glasses up) "Stay there and let me capture you."
