Β Β Β Β Robin Buckley couldn't even begin to understand the past twenty four hours of what had been her once painfully ordinary life. But, it was now no longer boring or anywhere near ordinary. Robin didn't know how to respond to anything that had just transpired in the mere past few hours. Everything that happened happen was seemed to be so freaking confusing, and so bizarre, for a lack of better terms. She was really thrown a curve ball by fate. Robin couldn't help but be in a state of pure shock as she sat down in one of the many benches that filled up the now rather trashed, utterly destroyed, and currently abandoned Starcourt mall. Today had been filled with all sorts of absolute highs, and absolute deep lows for the girl; she had nearly died at the hands of evil Russians, saw a teenage girl throw a car with just her mind, had played some sort of key role in killing some crazy monster, finally admitted to Steve that she has long knew that she was his and Nancy's third but had been too scared to just say anything at all, and had managed to kiss Nancy freaking Wheeler on her bright cherry colored lips. But, with all of the weird and absence events done and over with, Robin couldn't help the numbness that filled every single last nerve, and all of her bones. She could only supposed that since all of her adrenaline was finally wearing off, and that truth serum that had been so forcibly shoved into her veins was no longer effecting her like it had hours earlier, it was just mere side effect of it all. But, she couldn't be quiet sure.
" Robin?" Came the soft questioning voice of her soulmate, Nancy, as she slowly made her way back into what had been their former battle field. She approached the brunette girl that was in front of her. Nancy gave a very tired smile at her as she really took in the sight of her soulmate; Robin's deep navy blue sailor outfit that had managed to get ripped at some point in their battle with the Mind Flayer. Meaning that her outfit was now tattered I'm way that it exposed their matching soul mark that rested right across Robin's pale collar bone. It made Nancy subconsciously rub at the soul mark that decorated her own skin; Nancy's soul mark twisted right across her left wrist like some sort of beautiful water colored bracelet. " You alright?"
Β Β " I'm pretty sure that weird EMT dude said something along the lines that I'm in shock or whatever..." answered Robin with a shrug of her shoulders. She weaved it off completely dismissively as if it wasn't a big deal. Nancy look at her soulmate with worry filled eyes as she moved closer to her. " You know, me and Steve could have died in that weird Russian basement without any one knowing." Robin mused as she stared off into the distances. Their was crippling pain and fear behind her far off gaze. She wore a look that was close to that of utter regret and misery. Robin was scared. Scared of things that she couldn't even begin to comprehend. Things that she couldn't control in the slightest of ways. Robin was at a loss. She could have died before even getting the chance to say anything to Nancy, or even to Steve. Could have died before she and her soulmates even get the slightest of chances to meet whomever was their fourth soulmate is.
Β Β Β " I know..." said Nancy sincerely as she moved to sit next her soulmate on the mall bench. She wrapped her blanket, the one that EMT had given her, around her soulmate as she pulled Robin into her side. Nancy's soulmate laid her head on her left shoulder and pulled the blanket closer to them.
" You guys alright?" Questioned Steve as he made his way back into the mall. Both girls looked up at their soulmate, who still looked so terribly battered up due to the cruelty and abuse the evil Russians had done to him.
" Where a little shake up and bruised, but overall were just fine. How's Jonathan and Billy holding up?" Questioned Nancy. Despite how much of a complete asshole Billie had been to both her and Steve in High School, Billy had particularly harassed them about their whole soulmate situation, but it was agreed that even with all of his doings that he didn't deserve what happened to him. No one deserved that. Jonathan definitely didn't deserve to a loss a soulmate; Nancy was still at complete loss as to how it was decided that her best friend, Jonathan Byers was going to be soulmates with some like Billy Hargrove. It was just utterly complexing in her opinion.
Β Β Β " Yeah their both doing fine. Billy's gonna need to get a few stitches and probably therapy in the future, but he's alive, which is what matters." Said Steve sincerely as he moved closer to the duo.Β " You guys know I love right?"
Β Β Β " Your freezing aren't you?" Robin said in amusement as she raised an eye brow in question, which earned a small chuckle from Nancy.
Β Β Β
Β Β " God yes! I'm freezing my ass off in this ridiculous outfit." He said. Robin gave a small smile at Nancy before they broke apart from their cuddle positions.
Β Β Β " Get over here, dingus. " called Robin lovingly. Steve moved so that he was sitting in between his two soulmates; it was almost prefect with all three soulmates sitting their with each, but something was missing. More like someone.
