"Welcome to Chicago little witch, and welcome back Stefan." Klaus announced as we all got out of the big black SUV.
"What are we doing here?"
"Do I have to be here for this?" I groaned picking at my nails, already fed up. What does a girl have to do around here to stop getting kidnapped? I mean seriously I'm over it. I know I hide all of my emotions behind shits, giggles, and sarcasm, but this was really starting to wear me down. When I get back home I'm definitely telling my parents that we're moving.
"I know how much you love it here and yes miss James, your presence is a requirement." I just scowled in response.
"Bringing back memories of the good old ripper days."
"Blocked out most of them."
"I wasn't even alive for 'em." They both turned to stare at me at my remark.
"Oh come on, it was funny! Someone has to provide the comic relief around here, you guys are so lame." I groaned as Stefan ruffled up my hair.
"Lot of blood, lot of partying. Details are all a blur." Stefan continued l, getting lost in his own memories.
"Are you trying to tell me you were fun?" I questioned, still trying to lighten his mood. He nudged with his shoulder and scoffed at my question. Klaus then clasped a hand on my shoulder. I stared at him, with my eyebrows raised apprehensively.
"He certainly was and that is a crying shame. The details are what makes it legend." Klaus smirked. Is he about to give a story time?
"Word was the ripper of Monterrey got lonely so he escaped to the city for comfort. It was prohibition. Everything was off limits then. Which made everything so much fun. Chicago was magical." Klaus reminisced.
"Yeah, well, I'll take your word for it. Like I said, I don't remember most of it." Stefan turned away from Klaus and put some distance between them. At that I could see Klaus's demeanor completely do a 180. You know he needs to get that checked out. Is he like bipolar or something?
"Down to business, then?" Klaus asked coldly.
"Why are we still with you? We had our fun. Your hybrids failed. I mean, don't you want to move on?" Stefan questioned. Steven enough man. This man will kill you.
"We're going to see your favorite witch. If anyone can help us with our hybrid problem it's her."
"You have a witch right here. What do you need another one for?" I questioned him, confused.
"She's a bit more seasoned than you are little witch. Don't fret on it for too long." Klaus grinned condescendingly.
"Well then what the hell did you kidnap me for?!" I yelled at him, seeing his playful demeanor drop. He got closer to me as I heard Stefan shift from behind me.
"I have other use for your talents and let me be exceedingly clear about something, you raise your voice at me again and it will be the last thing you do on this Earth. I've killed people for far less." He threatened, ending it with a grin and turning around to get in the car. His threat actually sent a chill down my spine and I'm sure if I looked at my arms, I would have goosebumps. Remind me not to piss off Klaus in the foreseeable future.

"Looks familiar, doesn't it?" Klaus asks Stefan as all three of us walked into some bar, that looked to be deserted. "I can't believe this place is still here." Stefan marveled as he looked around. I was personally ready to head to the bar and pour myself a shot or maybe twelve.
"You got to be kidding me." A woman with buzzed silver hair states as she comes in through a side door.
"So a hybrid walks into a bar, says to the bar-." Klaus starts.
"Stop. You may be invincible but that's doesn't make you funny." The mystery woman interrupted him.
"Ha! I like her!" I exclaimed happily. The woman looked my way with a grin on her face.
"I remember you." The woman looks at Stefan.
"Yeah. You're Gloria." Stefan said in realization. Gloria just hummed in response. I was unbelievably confused.
"Shouldn't you beโ?" Stefan pointed her way in slight shock before she cut him off. "Old and dead? Now if i die, who's gonna run this place?" She questioned.
"Gloria's a very powerful witch." Klaus informed, taking in the confusion on my face. Yet again I say what the hell does he need me for if he already knows a seasoned witch.
"I can slow the aging down some. Herbs and spells. But don't worry it'll catch up to me one day. I see you've brought another witch into the fold." She looked my way, looking at me with intrigue.
"This young lady here is Amira James, she is quite the fiesty one." Klaus introduced me to the woman.
"Hi." I waved shortly.
"Stefan, Amira, why don't you both go fix us up a little something from behind the bar." Klaus stated, well more like ordered. I side eyed Stefan who just nodded his head and said sure thing.
Stefan and I walked away behind the bar while Gloria and Klaus sat at a far away table. As Stefan was grabbing the glasses I looked around on the walls to see Stefan in a picture cuddled up next to Klaus of all people.
"Hey." I whispered to him getting his attention before pointing at the picture on the wall.
"This is obviously you, next to Mr.Original over there. You two have a history he's not telling you about and you don't remember any of it, sound any bit weird to you?" I whispered. I think since the originals have a bunch of special skills, that one of them is they can compel other vampires. It makes sense, I mean they are all the other baby vampire's predecessors, they're obviously immune to some things and have control over other things regular vamps don't.
"What the hell?" Stefan whispered back in shock before grabbing the picture off the wall.
"What is this?" Stefan turned around to face Klaus.
"Well, I told you Stefan. Chicago's a magical place." Klaus side stepped the question.
"But this is me. With you." Stefan stated the obvious.
"Besties for the resties." I said in mocking cheerful tone. They both playfully glared my way.

I took it upon myself to meet Katherine. I'd been waiting for her to figure I was tailing her. Guess she caught on sooner than I thought seeing as she pinned me to a wall in an alleyway.
"Who the hell are you and why are you following me?" She questioned snarkily. She looked just like Elena but by the way she dresses and the way she talks, I could already tell that looks was the only thing the two had in common.
"I'm Amira's brother and I need your help." I answered as she looked confused at my revelation.

After we left the bar, Klaus took us to some storage unit where Klaus was still questioning him about the picture and how the hell he didn't remember any of it.
"This doesn't make any sense. Why don't I remember you?" Stefan pushed Klaus again while speed walking to catch up to him. This is like watching a reality tv show. I mean they are unbelievably entertaining.
"You said it yourself that time had a lot of dark holes." Klaus answered shortly as he kept walking not really giving Stefan the time of day.
"If you knew me, why haven't you said anything." Stefan nagged.
"I'm a little busy right now. Memory lane will have to wait." Stefan grabbed Klaus' arm and turned him around to face him.
"What the hell is going on? Answer me." Stefan demanded tensely, keeping a hold on Klaus' arm. Did they use to date or something, what the hell am I missing? I just looked on back and forth between them waiting for either one of them to just make out already.
Klaus grabbed Stefan's hand and removed it from his arm. "Let's just say we didn't get off to a brilliant start. To be honest, I hated you." Klaus spoke candidly as he explained that Stefan actually had a thing for his sister. There's more of them? I can't even handle Klaus. Maybe his sister is hot, I mean I wouldn't be surprised, he is and so is Elijah.
"Wait so there's a blonder, female version of you?" I questioned.
"Your sister. So I knew another Original vampire?" Stefan questioned. Klaus just kept walking. He's so unserious.
"If you can't handle it, then don't ask." Klaus commented as he walked up to a coffin and opened.
"He's so sassy." I whispered to Stefan. He chuckled in response before we saw Klaus just standing over the coffin. We walked up behind him to see a beautiful blonde girl lying in the coffin all grayish and lifeless.
"I don't recognize her." Stefan commented.
"Don't tell her that. Rebekah's temper's worse than mine." He advised before pulling the dagger out of her. "Time to wake up, little sister." Relax dude, you just took the dagger out of her. I thought I was impatient.
"Any day now Rebekah. She's being dramatic." Klaus continued, staring down at her in annoyance.
"You just pulled the dagger out of her and if my math is correct, she's been daggered for like 90 years." I defended which earned a nice glare my way from Klaus in response.
"Just tell us what the hell is going on? I mean, you obviously want us here for a reason right?" Stefan probed. I keep telling him he is wasting his breath, time, and energy with this. Now if Klaus snaps his neck, I don't have a thing for him.
"Well you both have many useful talents."
"Do I?" Stefan questioned.
"Right." I rolled my eyes.
"In fact, I learned some of my favorite tricks from you, Stefan." Klaus smirked. Klaus went on to tell the story of how Stefan made a man named Liam Grant drink his wife's blood while the guy was still human. I got to say that is nasty work.
"I was your number one fan." Klaus commented as he walked further into the storage unit, with us on his tail.
"Why should I believe any of this?" Stefan questioned as Klaus stopped in front of security guard and gave him instructions for when Rebekah woke up. Basically that she needed to meet us at Gloria's and that the security guard would be her dinner. Man, I needed a break from the originals for the rest of my life after this.
"Where you going?" Stefan asked Klaus as he continued his way out of the storage unit.
"You think I'm lying Stefan? You and I knew each other. You trusted me with one of your secrets and now I'm gonna prove it to you."
"How?"
"We're going to your old apartment."
"Oh great! Another unwarranted adventure you all are dragging me on!" I exclaimed in mock cheer.
"Cut it out and get in the car, Amira." Klaus ordered opening the door for me, while I rolled my eyes his way.

"I didn't know she had a brother." Katherine dropped her hand from around my throat and stepped back. "I would be surprised if you did."
"How could I possibly help you? Mira got herself into a bit of a bind with an original." I noticed the nickname and took note of that. Amira only let people close to her, call her that.
"That's where you come into play. We need someone who can keep a far enough distance away from her, to watch over her. She's not going to react too well to me showing up myself."
"And why would I do this for you?
"Because from what I hear, you care about my sister, you just have a particular way of showing it. It also can't hurt to have a family of witches for you and not against you." I reminded her. I had heard enough about Katherine Pierce to know she was a survivor and she'd do it by any means necessary. I also knew she doesn't just do things out of the kindness of her heart, she needs an incentive.
"I'm listening." She smirked my way at the proposition. I knew I could count on her wanting to look out for herself. After I had her attention, I explained to her the plan.

"What a charming little homestead." Klaus commented as we approached the front door of Stefan's old apartment.
"Charming isn't the word I would use." I commented as Klaus forcefully pushed open the door.
"Do you feel that? Is anybody here?"
"It's been vacant for decades. People must break in all the time. Why'd you bring me here?"
"Your friend Liam Grant, the one who drank his wife's blood, I never could figure out why you wanted his name. And then you told me your little secret, it was all part of your special ritual."
"To write it down." Jesus. There should be like a Rippers Anonymous group because wow they are worse than alcoholics.
"And relive the kill over and over again." Klaus smirked in satisfaction at Stefan's face. He walked over to this hidden door/closet thing and opened it to reveal a compartment within the wall.
"You believe me now?" Stefan then walked into the compartment and looked around before pausing like he'd seen a ghost. What the hell had he seen in there? Klaus looked around the apartment and went to snooping before Stefan announced he had found something. He then pulled out a bottle of alcohol.
"1918, single malt."
"My favorite." Klaus commented as he took the bottle from Stefan. "Let's go find someone to pair it with." Stefan shut the door to the little secret compartment door before we all left the apartment. I was definitely gonna ask what that was all about later.

When we got back to the bar, I sat far away from Stefan and Klaus. They were starting to drive me insane. I had still been stuck on the letter I got from my brother. I could've sworn I put no reinforcements in the letter I wrote. I do not need my brother of all people, coming in to try and save the day, and get killed for it. Even if I don't talk to him anymore, I still love my brother.
Also, I had a freaking sister, that I haven't even gotten to know because I'm stuck with bunny muncher and grandpa back there.
I then noticed Stefan look to the back of the bar before getting up abruptly and heading out back. Out went Stefan and in came Damon. They just don't listen.
Damon decided it was a bright idea to sit right next to Klaus at the bar. Here we go. There conversation already looked to be getting heated. I grabbed a bottle on a near by table, took a shot and headed over. Thankfully the bar was empty or Klaus would've had to compel quite a few people.
Klaus took it upon himself to choke the crap out of Damon. Oh shit.
"Klaus! Wait wait wait! Don't kill him, let's just go. We'll get Stefan and we'll go." I pleaded as I put my hand on his shoulder. He briefly pause before Damon had to open his big mouth. "You want a partner in crime? Forget Stefan. I'm so much more fun." Damon gasped out before Klaus threw him across the room, ripped a make shift stake from the chair before hovering over Damon.
"You won't be any fun after you're dead." Klaus mocked him. He went to stab Damon, but then the stake caught on fire. Gloria.
"Really?" Klaus turned back towards Gloria.
"Not in my bar. You take it outside."
"You don't have to negotiate your brothers and Amira's freedom. When I'm done with them, they won't want to go back." Wait pause, because says who?! I definitely want to go back home. He's got to just be talking about Stefan because there is no way.

I couldn't sleep. After my talk with Katherine earlier, all I could do was think about my sister. Not my newfound one, but my other one. I hated that we were in bad terms, but I only had myself to blame. The day before Mira's thirteenth birthday, I left home without any notice and enlisted in the military. That was five years ago. Since then I've been granted honorable discharge to finish out early. We used to be attached at the hip, until I left. I only did because I needed a plan, a definitive one, that I didn't whether or not I had after graduating high school.
"What are you doing up so late?" My mom asked, walking into the kitchen.
"I could ask you the same thing."
"Can't sleep. Haven't been able to since Amira left. I worry about her being wrapped up in this supernatural mess with her friends all the time. When we're all together again, I want to make sure we all take a vacation so we can bond and relax as a family."
"I don't know if troublemaker is going to want me there." I took another spoonful of ice cream and put it in my mouth.
"She's just hurt. You left so suddenly without any notice. You were her best friend and you ditched her right before her birthday of all days." Mom reminded me. I know mom, it was a dick move. I was being selfish and I was eighteen at the time, I wasn't exactly making the smartest choices.
"Yeah. I just hope that once we get her back, that we'll be best friends again. We also have to get to know Eliza. Which, by the way, when were you going to tell us we had a sister?"
"I talked about it with speedy and she was just as shocked as you, but she is excited about there being another girl in the family." Mom lightly laughed as she took her own spoonful of ice cream from the pint of cookies and cream I was eating out of.
"There are lots of things that you and Mira don't know about in regard to my past. You'll both know the details eventually but it's too painful to talk about right now." She said as she ruffled up my hair.
"Well, when you are ready, do share with all three of us. I know I don't know Eliza, but she's my sister too and she has just as much a right to know why she didn't get to grow up with us."
"I will." She sighed as she put the spoon in the sink before giving me a side hug and a kiss on my forehead.
"Goodnight sweetheart."
"Goodnight mom." I smiled at her retreating figure up the stairs.

After that mess in the bar, Damon left and apparently so did Elena seeing as she was in Chicago at the same time with us and almost got caught. If Klaus killed them, it wouldn't be my fault that's for sure. We met back at the warehouse, to meet up with Rebekah. I was honestly excited to meet her, there had to be another girl around here dealing with these two, plus she's super hot so that's another pro right there.
Klaus' voice was heard telling Stefan and I to come in. Stefan walked in first with me following. Stefan and Rebekah made eye contact. She was happy to see him and he was still weary of her. Klaus walked up to Stefan and looked him in the eyes compelling him to remember, what I'm assuming is their time in the 20s. I knew Originals could compel other vampires.
"Rebekah." Stefan whispered walking towards Rebekah before Klaus stopped him.
"I remember you. We were friends.
"We are friends."
"Yeah right." I scoffed as Klaus shot me a look directing his attention towards Rebekah. "And now the reason you're here. Gloria tells me you know how to contact the original witch."
"The original witch?"
"What do you have that Gloria needs?" Klaus asked her as Rebekah went to touch her neck to feel it empty.
"Where's my necklace? What did you do with it? I never take it off." Rebekah panicked.
"I don't know I didn't touch it."
"We need to find it, Nik, now."
"Tell me that's not what she needs. Tell me that's not what she needs Rebekah!" Klaus yelled at her gripping onto her shoulders before she pushed his hands away and walked over to the coffin to see if it was inside. I briefly looked at Stefan to see him look panicked. Oh damn, what could it possibly be now? Rebekah flipping the coffin over in frustration pulled me back to reality. Remind me not to aggravate her either.
