The ritual was happening tonight. Klaus was adamant about breaking it, which apart of me gets, he wants to be his true self and this curse has been preventing him from doing so for over a thousand years. The way he's going about breaking it however, a bit wild. He doesn't want anyone getting in his way, especially not a couple of teenagers, an alcoholic of a history teacher, two 120+ year old vampire brothers, and his 1000+ year old brother who happens to look like he's an agent from men in black.
The others left awhile agoโagain. Katherine and I always seem to end up alone with just each other. It's been happening for the last three days. We've gotten to know each other a little better. We obviously still knew where we stood with one another, we weren't friends, and we never would be.
Katherine was looking through the fridge for something to eat while I was eating another bag of Doritos. You know if Klaus's just going to keep me held captive he could at least get me some nachos from the grill and more Doritos. He let Alaric go, I should be next!
As Katherine threw another empty blood bag on the floor, we both heard the door being unlocked and opened. She sped over to see who it was while I just looked up. It was Ricโthe actual one.
"Look who's dumb enough to come back." Katherine insulted.
"Well, somebody had to invite him in." Ric stated as we both looked at him with puzzled expressions.
"Damon. Would you like to, uh, come in?" Ric asked as Damon popped his head onto the door frame. Damon then walked right into the apartment with a little dramatic flair.
"Ric you wanna get me some nachos from the grill and a lemonade? I've been living off Doritos for three days." I asked him completely ignoring Damon and Katherine arguing.
"Yeah, kiddo, it's the least I could do. Your parents are worried about you."
"Yeah, I'll probably be grounded for like the rest of my life." I joked sadly. I missed my parents and my bed. I wanted to go home, what the hell does Klaus need me for?! They already know he was possessing Ric! He's literally back in his body! Men are annoying.
"I got it from here Ric." Damon told Ric as he had Katherine pinned to the wall.
"You sure?" Ric questioned cautiously, not entirely liking the idea.
"Yeah, only one of us needs to get blamed for this. Get back to the house, keep Elena from handing herself over."
"Ok. Bye Mira. I'll try to get back here before all hell breaks loose."
"Thank you."
"Get blamed for what?" Katherine questioned as she pushed Damon off of her.
"I need to know where Klaus is keeping his werewolf."
"Why? What are you going to do?"
"He's gonna be stupid and try to delay the ritual. Your an idiot. He will kill you, Damon and not very nicely." I warned him.
"Dead werewolf equals no ritual."
"No. A is right, you can't interfere, Damon. Klaus will kill you and everyone you've ever met." Katherine agreed with me. I noticed the nickname and it came out of her mouth so naturally, which was weird since we weren't even close. Well, maybe we are a little. We've learned a good amount about each other in the past three days.
"A? What, you two are besties now? I just need to delay this thing." Damon questioned as I rolled my eyes at his dramatic antics.
"No. No way." Katherine immediately shut down his dumb idea whilst ignoring his accusation that her Amira are "besties".
"You should like this, it's gonna buy you another month of your pathetic life."
"Right. Except that I'm not the vampire he's planning on sacrificing."
"What?" Damon and I both questioned simultaneously. I thought she was getting killed in the sacrifice. If she isn't, then who the hell is.
"Yeah. He's got Caroline Forbes and Tyler Lockwood. Therefore, I'm in the clear."
"What?! You didn't think to mention that to me!" I exclaimed at her.
"You were asleep." She stated obviously.
"We've been here together for three hours Katherine!"
"It slipped my mind, get over it!" She yelled back at me. I shoved her against the wall before holding her by her neck. She smirked my way as she let me hold her against the wall.
"I know you're the reason he's using them in the ritual. It's always Katherine Pierce first. Her survival over everyone else's. You don't care about anyone but yourself. I wish Klaus was killing you instead, and he'd save us all the trouble of being stuck in this town with you." I stated calmly. I saw her smirk falter and turn into a look of sadness. She looked like she took what I said to heart. A part of me regretted saying it, the other part, not so much. In this particular moment, I meant ever word. Never let your guard down with a villain, they always look out for themselves first.
I let go of her before leaving the two of them to have their own conversation. I walked into Ric's room and shut the door, wanting to just be alone with my thoughts. I can't even sit here and say that I'm surprised Katherine told Klaus about Caroline and Tyler. She'd do anything to save her own ass. But can I blame her? It seems to be all she knows how to do. She's done it for so long. No. No. I am not going to try to justify her actions, I'm done. Klaus needs to just let me go back home. There's no sense in keeping me here. He was up to some secret agenda, I knew he was.

I was still in the room. I didn't want to be bothered. Klaus, however, didn't really care. He came in the room when he'd heard I was in here.
"Why are you alone in here by yourself? Your usually watching TV and talking my ear off while simultaneously eating a bag of Doritos."
"Katherine aggravates me." I said with my chin on my knees as I was sat up on the bed. He stood by the door, keeping a reasonable enough distance between us.
"Why am I still here Klaus? What exactly is it that you need me for? I can't think of anything, unless you plan on killing me too."
"You are quite the character, Amira James. You've got fire, will, and spirit. You don't just let anyone walk all over you, not even people who are more powerful than you."
"Did you just compliment me? Can you give me my phone back so I could record you saying that?"
"Not a chance." He laughed. His laugh actually sounded sincere this time and not malicious. Who would've thought Klaus, a thousand year old vampire, could actually enjoy humor.
"Can you please just call me by my first name, I mean why do you have call me by my full government name?"
"It's quite fun watching it make you uncomfortable."
"Thank you for finding humor in my discomfort, it means so much to me." I expressed sarcastically as he laughed at my facial expression.
"So, since you actually like me and don't want to kill meโwe could rewatch the notebook..."
"No. Absolutely not." He declined as he shut the door, abruptly ending our conversation.
"Oh come on! Party pooper!" I yelled hoping it'd hurt his super-hearing ears...that made sense right?
I was gonna grab some Doritos since Klaus sucks and didn't get me my nachos like a good host should. Ric obviously couldn't be here the same time Klaus was, so, no nachos for Amira. When I walked in the kitchen I heard a snippet of Klaus and Katherine's conversation.
"Take off your bracelet." Klaus ordered Katherine. That lit a fire under my ass and caught my attention.
"Klaus wait-." I protested before he stopped me by holding up his hand in my direction. Katherine took off her bracelet and handed it to him.
"Now. I want you...to walk over to the window and stand in the sunlight." He ordered. I looked at Katherine's face to see the inner panic. Now when I said I wanted Klaus to kill her, I didn't mean it like this.
"But I'll burn."
"You don't have a choice." Klaus stated sinisterly. Katherine then slowly turned around and walked into the sunlight that shunned through the window. Klaus was drinking coffee as Katherine was screaming and groaning in pain. I looked away not wanting to see her in pain.
"That's enough." Klaus announced as Katherine rushed to the other side of the room and hid in the shade.
"Hmm. Guess I was wrong. All right, then. I need you to do something for me." Klaus walked closer to her as she locked eyes with me before turning her attention to Klaus. I knew whatever he planned to have her do, wasn't gonna be good.
โโโเฎเนโกเนเฎโโโ
I tried and failed. Klaus had backups just in case of any foul play from one of the members of the Scooby gang. I was trapped here with Katherine, Bonnie was dead, Klaus took Elena, he made Katherine turn Jenna into the backup vampire, Damon rescued Caroline and Tyler but got bit in the process, Jules was the backup werewolf, either Greta or Eliza were going to do the spell since Maddox was killed by Damon, and I have no idea where Stefan was in all of this. All I knew was that this ritual was happening and it couldn't be stopped any longer. This ritual was either going to make or break the group...
