I couldn't believe that I was actually going to this dumb ball. I was only going for Lucy, Bonnie and Caroline.

What Amira didn't know was how much drama she was stepping into by going to the Lockwood's Masquerade Ball.

I got out of my mom's car and made sure to hold up my dress up as I did so. It was a navy blue tulle cutout gown that reached the floor. I also had on my mom's diamond necklace. I walked to the passenger window while she rolled down the window. "Oh come on don't make that face speedy, your gonna have so much fun with Lucy. I mean look at this huge house, it's enough to fit at least a few villages in there." She said enthusiastically. I rolled my eyes and laughed, "Yeah okay. Whatever you say mom."

"Ok but seriously, go, get away from me and go have fun for once in you life." She said jokingly.

"Wow your trying to get rid of me already. I thought you loved me." I said sarcastically. She scoffed, "Oh come on you know I love you, now go on and show off your dress." I laughed and said, "Okay I'm going, I'm going."

"I love you 3000." She said sweetly. (A/N I knew what I was doing🤧.)

" I love you more." I replied. I started to walk away from her car and towards the steps to the door. I turned around to see her still sitting in the car watching me. I knew she was going to do that.

I walked in and saw some food at a table and I dodged after it. I looked over at all the strawberries and shoved one in my mouth. I was just enjoying myself until I heard my name being called.

"Amira!" I heard someone yell.

I turned around and was faced with Lucy looking at me up and down with a smile. "Dang Miss James who are you trying to impress?" Lucy asked. She walked up to me and hugged me tight. "Why do I have to impress someone? Maybe I just wanted to look cute for I don't know myself." I replied sarcastically. Then I smiled at her as she laughed at me. "Oh shut up you know what I mean, you look hot. Give me a spin." She said. I did a slow spin in my dress while laughing.

And we were just laughing and goofing around until Bonnie came up to Lucy with Little Gilbert trailing behind her in some kind of trance. Bonnie tapped Lucy's shoulder and Lucy turned around from facing me and faced Bonnie. "Excuse me? Do I know you?" Bonnie asked Lucy questioningly.

I looked over at Bonnie with confusion evident all over my face. I was about to ask if she was okay until Lucy answered her questions. "No. I'm a plus one, I know no one. Its a great party though." Then Lucy turned to me and said, "I'll catch you later Mira." I looked over her and replied hesitantly, "Yeah..uh ok."

Lucy walked away and I turned my focus back to Bonnie. "Hey Bonnie are you okay?" I asked worriedly. She looked over at me but her gaze looked as if she had been a million miles away. "Yeah I just got this really weird vibe." She replied reassuringly. I put my hands on either side of her shoulders and looked her in the eyes while saying, "If anything happens and I mean anything I'll always be here to help you. You know that right?"

She smiled at me and put her hand on top of mine and replied, "I know Mira. But speaking of help we need to find Damon." I scoffed, "Bon you already know how I feel about Damon." Damon and I also have a like hate relationship and the hate is way stronger than the love especially since he killed Lexi. I also didn't like the way he treated Caroline or Bonnie.

"I know but we need to find him." Bonnie said and started walking away. Jeremy and I looked at each and shrugged. I let out a sigh, this is why we don't go to functions with people.

We had been walking around, then finally we found a table to sit at. I felt like I had been third wheeling after Jeremy asked Bonnie to dance while they wait and she turned him down. I told them I'd see them later when I saw Lucy talking to someone who looked like Elena.

I walked over there and came face to face with Lucy and who she was talking too. "Lucy? Since when do you know Elena?" Lucy looked at me and told me, "This is the Katherine I was talking about." I turned my head towards Lucy so fast and then I turned over to Katherine. "Wow Bonnie and Caroline weren't lying, you too look horribly similar." I said.

"Yeah well obviously I'm much prettier." She replied snarkily. I smiled sarcastically, "Right because you two don't look I don't know exactly alike." She walked closer to me and said, "Watch yourself or else I'll have to kill you just like your little friend Caroline." I walked an inch closer to her, "I'm not as easy to kill sweetheart." I said confidently while looking into her eyes.

She smirked and looked over at Lucy, "I like this one." Then Jeremy came walking up to Katherine. "Elena." Then he saw us and asked, "Hey could I talk to my sister?" Then Katherine looked at Lucy and gave her the signal to leave her and Jeremy then she locked eyes with me and smirked. Then Lucy and I walked away from them.

"Gosh you have some colorful friends Lucy. Should I be worried?" I asked her as we were walking back inside of the Lockwood mansion. "Ha Ha very funny Mira. I owed her a debt and were sort of friends in a way." She replied. Then I stopped from walking and said, "Well you should definitely not be friends with her. I'm not even sure she has any real ones."

The Lucy looked behind her and started dragging me with her somewhere. "What is up with you?" I asked curiously. She led us to a dining room and a few seconds later Bonnie came rushing into the room. She been looking around frantically and turned around and was met with Lucy right behind her. I looked at Lucy and yanked my hand from her grip and said, "You were running away from Bonnie? Really?"

She ignored me, looked at Bonnie and said, "You looking for me?" While taking off her mask Bonnie had asked her, "Who are you?"

"Lucy." She replied.

Then Bonnie looked over at me and asked, "How do you know her?" I looked back at Bonnie and replied, "She's close with my mom." Bonnie nodded slightly and looked over at Lucy and asked, "What are you doing here?"

"I should have known I'd run into a Bennett."Lucy said knowingly. Bonnie looked at her questioningly and asked, "How do you know me?" I just looked over at them watching the interaction with a confused look on my face.

"Ok so I'm just going to leave you guys to it. You know gazing into each other's eyes and what not. I'm gonna go home and sleep in my bed." I said to them. I hugged them both and they both told me bye and went off to do their own stuff. 

As I walked out of the mansion I made sure to text my mom to come and get me. What surprised me was that she didn't take to long to get here. I walked towards the car and picked up my dress while sliding in.

"Someone came here quickly." I said jokingly. Then she turned to me and shrugged, "I might've stayed around the neighborhood." She said nonchalantly. I laughed at her and shook my head and she joined in on the laughter. We left the mansion and on the way home we just sang rolling in the deep by Adele.
