A/N: Instead of the girl Tony is with being Maya, it's going to be Kelsey's mother Alissa. Maya will make a small appearance though in this chapter

"A famous man once said We create our own demons. Who said that? What does that even mean? Doesn't matter, I said it cause he said it. So now he was famous and that's basically get said by two well known guys. I don't, uh..."

"I'm gonna start again. Let's track this from the beginning."

1999, Bern, Switzerland, New Years Eve Party

Tony Stark and Alissa Evans were at Bern, Switzerland spending their first New Years Eve together. Last year they had started dating but couldn't spend New Years together due to Tony having a job emergency. Although Alissa was completely fine with it, she was happy they finally get to spend time together.

Alissa and Tony stood in a crowd of people as music played. The girl then blew a noisemaker into Tony's face making him laugh.

"Half hour till the ball drops." Happy Hogan said to the two and Alissa nodded slightly before looking at Tony. She smiled at him.

"Hey, do you want...?"

A party guest then came up to the two. "Tony Stark. Great speech, man!"

Happy moves the man away from Tony as him and Alissa start to walk somewhere together.

"I gave a speech? How was it?" Tony asked.

"Edifying." Happy said.

"Unintelligible." Alissa answered.

"Really?"

"Mmm-hmm."

"It's my favorite kind, a winning combo." Tony replied making Alissa slightly laugh.

The two started walking together. "Where are we going?" Alissa asked.

"Uh, to town on each other, probably back in your room. Cause I also wanna see your research." Tony answered.

"Okay, you can see my research, but I'm not gonna show you my "town." Alissa laughed before bumping into someone. She looked to see a friend of hers named Maya Hansen.

"Maya!" Alissa called.

"Alissa, hey."

"Are we still on for the big collaboration together?" Alissa asked and Maya nodded, "Of course. When is a good time for you?"

"Uh, I can do tomorrow at 11 AM." Alissa smiled.

"That's perfect. I'll see you then." Maya exclaimed before waving at Tony. "Hey Tony." The man turned and nodded his head towards her before she walked off.

The couple then proceeded to walk together when an older man walked up to them.

"Mr. Stark. Ho Yinsen." Ho introduced himself to Tony.

"Oh, I finally met a man called "Ho." Tony said making Alissa chuckle before the two men shake hands. Yinsen chuckled humorously. Tony then turned to Alissa, "Come here."

The three walked up to a man who looked about the same age as Tony. Possibly.

"I would like to introduce you to our guest, Dr. Wu."

"Oh this guy."

"Mr. Stark."

"Hey." Dr Wu. greets Tony by shaking his hand. "You're a heart doctor. She's going to need a cardiologist after I..." Tony turn to blow the noisemaker making Alissa roll her eyes playfully before the two walked off.

"Bye." Alissa smiled.

"Perhaps another time."

"It started in Bern, Switzerland, 1999. The old days."

Alissa, Tony, and Happy walked down a step of stairs through a crowd of people that followed them.

A guy with long hair and glasses then came up to them, "Mr. Stark!"

"I never thought they'd come back to bite me. Why would they?"

Tony and Alissa walked towards the elevator as an the enthusiastic man came up to them.

"Oh wow! Hey, Tony! Aldrich Killian." The man said before looking at Alissa. "I'm a big fan of your work!"

"My work?" She questioned.

"Who isn't? He means me." Tony told her.

"Well, of course. But, Miss Evans, my organization has been tracking your research since year two of MIT." Aldrich explained making Alissa look at him confused.

Tony, Alissa, and Happy walked into the elevator with a bunch of other people.

"Yeah, we're full." Happy said when the man tried to get in.

Happy puts his arms out to stop Aldrich from coming inside, but he ducks under Happy's arms and moves into the elevator.

"Oh, wow. He made it. He made the cut." Tony muttered making Alissa smile sheepishly.

Happy trapped Aldrich by the wall, "What floor are you going to, pal?"

"Oh, now, that is an appropriate question. The ground floor, actually. I've got a proposal I'm putting together with myself. It's a privately-funded think tank called, Advanced Idea Mechanics." Aldrich explained pulling out two business cards and handed them to Tony and Alissa.

"Oh. He doesn't like to be handed..." Alissa started before Tony cut her off.

"Uh...she'll take both."

"Okay." Alissa took the cards.

"One to throw away and one to not call." Tony said making Alissa playfully roll her eyes before she examined the cards.

"Advanced Idea Mechanics, or AIM for short." Aldrich said pointing to his shirt. "Do you get it?"

"I see that, cause it's on your t-shirt."

"Aw!"

The elevator stopped on the tenth floor turn to the ladies, "Ladies, follow the mullet." He told them to follow Happy which they did. He then turned to Alissa, "Ladies first."

"Thank you, I'll call you!" Alissa said to Aldrich before walking away as Tony stayed to talk to Aldrich.

Some time after, Tony and Alissa went up to her room. Alissa sat at a computer desk as Tony was behind her.

"Come on! I thought that was just a theory."

"It was but if I'm right we can access the area of the brain that governs repair..." Alissa replied showing Tony a graph of the brain.

"Wow."

"...And chemically recode it."

"That's incredible. Essentially you're hacking into the genetic..." Tony started.

"Genetic operating system." The both said in unison.

"...of a..."

"Exactly."

"Living organism..."

"Yes."

"Wow."

Happy goes to touch a plant that Alissa had. Maya had given it to her a year ago.

"Is that...Can you..." Alissa started looking at Happy.

"What?"

"Can you not touch my plant, Happy? It's not...she doesn't like it. She prefers..." Alissa stuttered.

"She's not like the others." Tony told him before turning to Alissa. "Come on. Let's go in the bedroom. Happy..."

"That's cute but..."

"Leave her ficus alone."

"Because and just please...don't." Alissa said to Happy before walking into the bedroom.

"And you're starting with plants?" Tony questioned.

"For now. Yeah." Alissa replied.

"Huh?"

"Me and Maya are calling it Extremis." Alissa did movements with her hands.

Happy reaches for the plant and pulls off some leaves to throw them on the ground.

Tony and Alissa continue to talk about their research in the bedroom.

Every time Alissa heard Tony talk she knew that's who she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. She wanted to get married and grow a family. She wanted to grow old together. She wanted it all.

"Well, it's.."

"Human application." Her and Tony said.

"Exactly! Yes!" Alissa exclaimed.

The plant grows a new limb.

"Dendritic revitalization."

"It's revolutionary."

"Disease prevention..."

"Changes the world."

"...even limb regrowth."

"You're the most gifted woman I've ever met." Tony said making Alissa smile.

"In Switzerland."

"Oh, wow! You're seeing things." She laughed.

"This week."

Alissa takes off Tony's glasses making him laugh.

"You almost bought it, didn't you?" Tony questioned.

Alissa puts on the glasses as Happy shuts the door. Alissa and Tony started kissing before being interrupted by an explosion and glass shattering.

"This is what I'm talking about, the glitch." Alissa said.

"Have you checked the telomerase algorithm?" Tony asked.

"The what?"

Happy runs into the room and tackles Tony onto the bed to make sure he's okay.

"Down! Stay down! Stay down, boss." He said.

"We're good."

"Stay down."

"You're...you're right on me. I made it." Tony said as Happy got off him. "What the hell was that?"

People were heard counting down outside.

"What was that?" Happy asked.

"It's a glitch in me and Maya's work. It's..." Alissa started.

"She was just talking about it. Glitches happening." Tony told him.

"It's not Y2K."

"No."

There was people celebrating outside. "Hey!" Tony exclaimed.

"Happy New Year."

"Happy New Year."

"Happy New Year."

"Alright, I'll see you in the morning, good night." Tony shook hands with Happy.

"You good?"

"Yep."

"I'll be right outside."

"Okay."

Happy leaves the room leaving Tony and Alissa.

"So why am I telling you this? Because I had just created demons, and I didn't even know it."

Tony and Alissa kiss one last time before he writes a more saying "You know who I am" and leaving on Alissa's bedside table. She waves goodbye to him before he leaves and she hears a door close.

"Yeah, those were the good times. Then I moved on. After a brief soiree in an Afghan cave, I said goodbye to the party scene. Forgot that night in Switzerland. Moved on from Alissa and...he death. These days I'm a changed man, I'm different now. I'm well... you know who I am."

Hello!! Sorry for the long wait!! I'm currently on vacation so I've been trying to enjoy it.

But a new chapter is here and I decided to add Alissa to this because during this time her and Tony would've been together. And two years later they would have Kelsey.
