Kelsey's POV

I was currently in my room reading a book. But I wasn't really paying attention to it that much. I've been thinking about the nightmares I was having. The dreams. What does it mean? Why am I doing these things? Who are these people?

I don't know what any of it means but God I hope it's not going to come true. It freaks me out. I already have so much to deal with it in my life. Anyways, I didn't bother reading anymore so I put my book down and went to turn on the tv but I heard people downstairs.

I walked out of my room and down the steps meeting Pepper on the way, just as I heard, "Normally, I'd go for that sort of thing, but now I'm in a committed relationship." Pepper and I walked down the steps. "It's...with her. And that's...my daughter...from another relationship..."

"Tony, is somebody there?" Pepper questioned and I stood behind her.

"Yeah, it's Maya Hansen. Old botanist pal and friend of Alissa that I used to know, barely." Dad answered as me and Pepper walked downstairs. Dad moved up to Maya and said, "Please don't tell me that there is a twelve year-old kid waiting in the car that I've never met."

I furrowed my brows. I'm almost twelve. I will be in a couple months. But what's he talking about. Did he hook up with this lady?

"He's thirteen. And no, I need your help." Maya replied.

"What...what for? Why now?" Dad asked.

"Because I read the papers, and, frankly, I don't think you'll last the week." Maya told him as Pepper and I came up behind him.

"I'll be fine." Dad said.

"I'm sorry. With Happy in the hospital, I didn't know we were expecting guests." Pepper said and I nodded.

"We weren't."

"No, I..."

"And old girlfriends!" Pepper exclaimed.

"She's not really. I was dating Alissa when we met..." Dad replied.

"No, not really. We never did anything..." Maya said.

"Yep."

"Wasn't she mom's science friend or something?" I questioned.

"Botanist. Botanist friend." Dad told me and I shrugged.

"Science of plants. Yeah, I know. Science friend." I said.

"Yeah." Maya muttered.

"You have saved yourself a world of pain." Pepper said.

"I'm sure." Maya nodded.

"Definitely." I said.

"What?" Dad asked.

"Trust me." Pepper turned to Dad. "We're going out of town."

"Okay, we've been through this. Nope." Dad shook his head.

"Yep!"

"The man says no."

"Immediately and indefinitely!"

"Honey..."

"Great idea. Let's go." Maya spoke up making me look at her confused.

"I'm sorry. That's a terrible idea. Please don't touch her bags." Dad said to Maya. We walked further into the house and Maya followed.

"Tony, this is how normal people behave." Pepper told him.

"I can't protect you out there. I challenged..." Dad told her. Maya then noticed the giant stuffed rabbit Dad had brought for Pepper. I didn't know for what but it was apparently normal.

"Is...is that normal?" Maya questioned pointing at the rabbit.

"Yes, this is normal!" Dad exclaimed.

"Sadly, that...is very normal." Pepper replied.

"Don't know how but it is." I said.

"It's a big bunny, relax about it!" Dad yelled.

"Calm down!" Pepper exclaimed.

"I got this for you." Dad told her. "I'm aware of that." Pepper said.

"You still haven't even told me that you liked it!" Dad yelled again.

"I don't like it!" Pepper yelled back.

"I asked you three... You don't like it?!" Dad exclaimed as him and Pepper started bickering. Maya and I watched before turning to the tv to see helicopters flying towards the house. Oh no.

"Tony, we are leaving the house; that's not even up for discussion." I heard Pepper say.

"I said no." Dad said like a child who didn't get what they wanted.

"Guys, can we..." Maya tried as I stared at the tv. We needed to get out. We're going to be attacked.

"What?" Dad asked.

"Do we need to worry about that?" Maya pointed to the bomb heading for the house.

Before anyone could answer the house was suddenly hit and there was a huge explosion. Dad managed to get his Iron Man suit on Pepper to protect her. I sat up groaning and looked over to see everyone was fine. I saw the ceiling was about to fall on my Dad but luckily Pepper saved him with the suit.

I then saw him tell her something before the helicopters started shooting at us. "Move! I'm right behind!" Dad yelled.

They ran to get out and the floor between them collapsed. "Get them, I'm gonna find a way around." He told her and Pepper hesitated.

"Stop stopping! Get them, get outside! Go!" Dad yelled. Pepper then managed to grab Maya and then grabbed me. She used the Iron Man suit to get us safely out the house but the house got more destroyed as the helicopters continued to fire at it.

My house. All my stuff. Everything. Gone.

"Oh my God. Tony!" Pepper yelled before the Iron Man suit came off and back to Dad.

Dad managed to fire a piano at a helicopter to destroy it. Then he managed to get away from the bullets being fired at him from one of the remaining helicopters and again used his suit to bring down the helicopter. The helicopter exploded and crashed into the house as the remaining helicopter continues to shoot at the house. The remains of the house with Dad inside then fall into the ocean.

Pepper and I ran to the edge of the cliff and looked down into the ocean. I can see that my Dad felt like he was drowning.

"Tony!"

"Dad!"

Next thing I knew, Dad was able to fly himself out the ocean and went off.

Everything was gone. We were now stranded.

Hey guys!! New chapter is here!! I switched up the dialogue a bit for the meeting Maya part because if you remember in the first chapter Alissa and Tony were already dating. So, it would be weird to say him and Maya had something.

But we're almost done with Iron Man 3 and then we move onto the second book!! There's 5 chapters left including a post credits scene! I can't wait to finish this and move onto the next book because I have so much planned for Kelsey. Also the end of this book, something insane is going to happened to her and everything will finally be explained about her power.
