The expression on Faye's face was anger. Her demeanor seemed conflicted, and it was evident that she clearly had something on her mind.
She walked towards us, her eyes locked onto mine and didn't break contact until she was right in front of us.
"Dani what are you doing with him!?" Faye glared at Lucifer.
"Walking to class, what's the problem?" I said innocently.
"Problem?โ he's the problem."
Lucifer seemed annoyed by Faye's presence, rolling his eyes before he addressed me. He grumbled, "I'm going to class, Dani. I'll meet you there." Without waiting for a response from either of us, he quickly turned on his heel and walked away, distancing himself from the tense situation at hand.
"Yeah move the fuck on!" She shouted at the boy who didn't payed attention to her once.
"Anyways like I was saying, You cannot be around him."
"Why?"
"Iโuh.."
"Because...
I looked back at Faye, observing her carefully as she struggled to find the words to say. Her expression was a mix of emotions, and it seemed like she was having a difficult time articulating whatever it was she wanted to express.
"Becauseโ?" I dragged out
"Because he's a dick." She finally answered
I took a moment to gather my thoughts before speaking, making sure to maintain a calm demeanor. I was tired of hearing the negative stereotypes about everyone! Including Lucifer from the others, as well as the rumors about Faye's past behavior. Despite these rumors, Lucifer had never done anything to hurt me..
Yet.
but would I be dumb enough to side with this boy ???
what if the rumors were true?
I could feel my thoughts racing and my mind overthinking every possibility. But I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself.
And then I finally settled on a decision and prepared to speak.
My voice was gentle yet firm as I addressed Faye. "Thank you, Faye," I began. "I truly appreciate you looking out for me, but it's not fair to judge someone based on others' words. Lucifer and I were simply heading to class together, it wasn't anything more than that."
"okay good." the girl mumbled
"Huh?"
"I said 'if you say so. "
she replied
The sound of the bell ringing jerked me back to reality, and I realized that I was now late for class due to my conversation with Faye. I quickly said goodbye to her, waving as I called out, "I'll see you later," before dashing off to class.

I hurried into the chemistry classroom, feeling a bit sheepish as I spotted Simona already seated behind Jax. Lucifer was in his usual spot next to me, and the teacher was in the midst of teaching the class.
Taking a seat next to Lucifer, I made sure to be mindful of the space between us. I didn't want to get too close.
Lucifer sighed.
".. I won't bite you." He said
My gaze flickered towards Lucifer,ย ย Who was staring down at his phone completely engrossed in whatever was on the screen.
"I'm glad." I said
"well..what did that annoying girl say to you?"
"she didn't say nothing!" I said out loud accidentally.
My voice rising louder than I had intended. The entire classroom seemed to go silent, and students' eyes darted in our direction.
I could also feel the teacher's stern gaze from the front of the room, clearly angered by my interruption.
"Sorry." I whispered to the teacher.
Lucifer's gaze shifted from his phone to me, his expression one of disbelief. His eyes widened slightly as he processed the fact that I had just caused a disruption in class. A hint of irritation flickered across his face as he narrowed his eyes, fixated on me.
"bugiardo." he said
(translation: liar)
"Buga what now?"
Lucifer scoffed, "what did she say to you? If it's about me, wouldn't you think I would want to know?"
"Wouldn't you also want to know if someone was talking shit about you?" he continues
"I don't really care for thatโ I meanโpeople is going to talk shit about you regardless." I replied back.
"But, Just know that she does not like you, that's one thing I can say for sure, actually matter of factโ a lot of people don't like you here." I said
he snickers before speaking
"even I know that was a lie."
I shrugged my shoulders innocently continuing to do the work that the teacher had us copying from the chalkboard.
I randomly felt Lucifer's gaze still fixated on me, and it caused my heart to race. I forced myself to turn away, facing the board in front of me, hoping to shield my flustered expression from him.
Lucifer spoke up, his tone teasing as he locked eyes with me and asked, "Do you like me?" His words hung in the air, causing my heart to flutter slightly.
"Look at me when I'm talking to you, Dani."
I was so caught up in my thoughts, staring at Lucifer's face and trying to decipher his expressions that I didn't notice Faye approaching our table until she placed a sizeable textbook on the table, jolting me back to reality.
Faye spoke up, forcing a smile onto her face. She apologised, explaining, "The teacher wants us to read pages 425 to 450." She pointed at the open textbook in front of us, indicating the pages we were supposed to focus on.
"yeah we know where to read." Lucifer said
"oh really? It looks like you two were conversating the whole class!" she smiled toothly.
Lucifer snickered at Faye completely ignoring her presence.
"I'm having a party at my place Dani, I would like it if you could come,"
"I'll send you the information and address, just send me your number."
"And I'll also let you have a plus one." he finished
"A party?โ
Faye eye squinted intensely, her eyes goggles between me and Lucifer.
"I don't knowโ
"Your also welcome to come too Faye." He said as his gaze remained fixed on me.
"Oh fuck off." She walked towards her seat.
"so what's your answer?"
"Hm, what type of party?" I asked
He smirked "A Pool party."
I had mixed feelings about attending a pool party, especially at Lucifer's house. While the idea of a party seemed exciting, I wasn't exactly the biggest fan of big social gatherings. would I even fit in? Would I enjoy myself?
Consuming my own thoughts had me questioning myself, I wondered if I would be out of place in the crowd, or if I would simply end up feeling uncomfortable and awkward. The thought of mingling with strangers and attempting to make conversation seemed daunting, and I couldn't shake the feeling of being an outsider amongst the lively attendees.
"So?" He waves his phone around.
I watched as Simona chatted animatedly with her other group of friends, and the thought crossed my mind that it might be enjoyable to attend the party with her. But would she even want to go? I knew that she harboured distaste towards Lucifer, so the possibility of her accepting the invitation seemed slim.
"So..."
And I can't even fucking swim...
Maybe I would be able to stay out of the water and just hang around, maybe I don't even have to swim.
"I'll be there." I said grabbing his phone to type my number in.

"A what!?"
"I know this sounds crazy, knowing you dislike Lucifer but a pool party would be fuโ
"I'm coming." She said
My eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"Huh!?"
I had expected her to decline, given her dislike for Lucifer, but her change of heart took me off guard.
"I said I'm coming!"
"But I'm bringing Eric As well!"
