That's what heroes do !

CHAPTER THREE
iii. THAT'S WHAT HEROES DO !

THE NEXT DAY FREYA AND SIERRA WERE ON THEIR way to Thor's and Hulks shared room as they spotted no other than Brunhilde coming from the other side of the corridor.

The three women gave each other a couple of judging looks, before they all contiued walking down the hall towards the room.

Brunhilde walked at the front and immediately approached Hulk playfully as soon as the doors opened. Hulk smiled at her, "Angry girl!"

The dark haired woman let out a loud chuckle before the two started fighting jokingly.

The Valkyrie kicked the green giant into his lower leg and Hulk fell on to the floor, chuckling as well, in his rough and deep voice. "What's going on? What are you-", the Valkyrie wanted to ask her friend, but then she finally spotted Thor.

Freya and Sierra had joined the three meanwhile and both eyed Thor, who awkwardly tried to lean against a shelf, but then decided not to.

The Valkyrie waked over Hulk, a angry look on her face as she approached the blond God, "You're so thick headed that you can't tell when someone's hiding all the way across the universe and wants to be left alone!"

"We need to talk", the God told her and Brunhilde shook her head stubborn. "No, you wanna talk to me."

Thor spun towards Hulk, "I need her to stay." Hulk immediately grabbed a part of his bed, broke and threw it into the Valkyries path.

"Stay!", Hulk demanded loudly before he added a quiet, "Please."

"Please", Thor begged her again. The brunette woman stopped in her trail and slowly turned back towards them, "All right. Here's the deal."

She walked over to the shelf Thor had just leaned against and grabbed a large bottle, "I'll listen to you, till this is empty."

The Valkyrie started drinking and Thor's eyes widened as he realized how fast she was, "Asgard is in danger and people are dying. We need to get back there. I need your help."

Brunhilde gasped as she looked at the blonde unimpressed, "Finished. Bye." She let the bottle fall onto the ground, it splashed and the woman walked away.

"Odin is dead", Thor called after her, making Freya and Sierra both gasp in complete surprise as they heard his words.

Thor looked at the black haired Goddess sadly before his gaze wandered back to the Valkyrie, "Hela, the Goddess of death, has invaded Asgard."

Brunhilde gazed over her shoulder at him, "If Hela is back then Asgard's already lost."

"I'm going to stop her", Thor stated as he walked towards the Valkyrie, who immediately frowned sceptical.

             "Alone?"

Thor shook his head at her, "Nop, I'm putting a team together. It's me, you, I hope Freya, Sierra and the big guy."

"No, no team. Only Hulk!",the green giant shouted as he threw a ball against the wall and cought it again.

"It's me, you and these two", Thor corrected himself as he pointed at himself, Brunhilde, Freya and Sierra.

"I think it's only you three", Brunhilde stated as she started to walk away again.

"Wait. Just listen. The Valkyrie are legend. Elite warriors of Asgard sworn to defend the throne", Thor said as he got into her way.

Freya and Sierra observed their conversation interisted. Brunhilde sighed in annoyance, "I'm not getting dragged into another one of Odin's family squabbles."

Thor narrowed his eyes at her immediately, "What's that's supposed to mean?"

Brunhilde looked at him as if it was obviously before she started to explain everything, "Your sister. Her power comes from Asgard, same as yours. When it grew beyond Odin's control she massacred everyone in the place and tried to seize the throne. When she tried to escape her banishment he sent the Valkyrie in to fight her back."

The brunette stopped for a moment, "I only survived because- Look I already faced her once, back when I believed in the throne and it cost me everything. That's what's wrong with Asgard. The throne, the secrets, the whole golden sham."

She tried to walk past him but Thor grabbed her by the arm, which Brunhilde immediately slapped away before she quickly drew her knife and held it to his throat.

            "Don't get familiar."

"I agree. That's why I turned down the throne", Thor stated as he pushed down her dagger. Brunhilde immediately held it up again as she glared at the God.

"But this isn't about the crown. This is about the people. They're dying and they're your people, too", Thor continued as he pushed the dagger down again.

"Forget it", the woman hissed at him as she pushed him back angryly. "I have."

Thor nodded his head at her frustrated, "Okay."

             "Okay."

"Good." The Valkyrie nodded at him as well as she repeated his word, "Good."

Thor raised his brows at her, "Thank you." The woman seemed confused, "For what?"

"For this", the God stated as he held up the regulator for his chip, that was still placed on his neck. He smirked at her mischievously, "Didn't see that, did you?"

The Valkyrie sighed annoyed as she looked out of the window and Thor deactivated his chip, "Yeah, that's better. You know, go ahead. Stay here and enslave people for that lunatic. Keep drinking, keep hiding. But me-"

The God caught the ball that Hulk threw over at him, "I choose to run towards my problems and not away from them."

He turned towards the window and threw the ball at it, "Cause that's what-" But instead of breaking the window it bounced off and flew back at him, hitting the man directly into the face.

The God fell to the ground and Freya flinched as she squeezed her eyes shut, "Oww!"

The man ignored what had just happened, jumped back onto his feet and continued his scentence, "Because that's what heroes do."

He turned towards the window again and suddenly started running before he crashed through the large glass plane.

Freya and Sierra exchanged questioning looks and after a moment the two slowly approached the hole. "Well, I guess we're in his team now", Sierra said while her and her cousin exchanged an agreeing look.

Freya let her gaze wander over the city before she jumped through the hole and quickly followed after the God, together with her cousin.

THE DOORS OF THE OLD QUINTJET OPENED IMMEDIATELY for them and the two Goddesses entered the ship side by side.

Thor was already standing by the steering wheel and the two approached him while they let their eyes scann their surroundings.

There was silence surrounding the group if three but after a moment Hulk suddenly destroyed the end of the jet and quickly approached Thor. "Friend stay!"

Thor held up his hands and repeated the word 'Stop' over and over again but Hulk just continued to destroy the Quintjet.

"Stop breaking everything!", Thor shouted at him desperately while he spun around and pressed some of the buttons.

For a moment nothing happened, but then out of nowhere a video of a very beautiful red headed woman appeared infront of the group.

The redhead smiled slightly into the camera, "Nice work, big guy. We don't know where Ultron's headed, bit you're going very high, very fast. So, I need you to turn this bird around, okay? We can't track you in stealth mode so I need you to help me out. Okay?"

Freya frowned at her cousin before she quietly whispered, "What is an Ultron?" Sierra shrugged at the dark haired Goddess before her gaze wandered off towards the green giant behind her.

Hulk seemed sad as he suddenly grunted and started shaking his head several times.

Suddenly the video of the woman disappeared again and Hulk started punching himself while he roared loudly.

The giant crashed against the walls of the jet. "No! No, Banner!", he shouted as he started shrinking and growing again.

His skin colour was changing quickly from green to flesh and he grunted loudly as he fell to the floor, changing at last to a small human figure.

Thor quickly approached the man that sat on the ground, his gaze pointed towards the floor.

The God laid a hand onto the man's shoulder and the man started screaming immediately. His eyes opened widely.

"The sun is going down. The sun is going down." Thor repeated again and again as he held his hands up in to the air.

The man breathed heavily but he leaned back relived when he recognized Thor. "I won't hurt you", the blond man assured his friend and smiled.

             "Thor?"

"Yeah", the man smiled widely and Bruce frowned confused, "What happened to your hair?"

"Some creepy old man cut them off", Thor answered him simply. "It looks good", Banner said still out of breath.

               "Oh, thanks."

Bruce gaze wandered over the surroundings, "Where are we? How is Nat?"

"Uh, Nat is good, I'm sure", Thor shrugged a bit confused as he eyed the man. "Is she okay? What about Sokovia?", Bruce continued before he looked back at Thor.

             "Sokovia?"

"The city, Sokovia! Did we save it?", Bruce questioned him loudly as he looked at the God annoyed.

Thor shook his head at him, "Banner listen to me. Sokovia. Ultron. That was two years ago."

The man frowned again, "What are you saying?" He sat up as his gaze wandered down on his body that was covered by a blanket.

               "Well-"

"What? I've been the Hulk for two years", Bruce exclaimed disbelieving. Thor nodded his head at him, "I'm afraid so."

"What the hell happened?", Banner questioned before he stood up, holding his blanket in place before he approached the steering wheel.

"What the hell is happening?", Freya asked confused as she watched the scene with her cousin.

Thor held up his hand, motioning for her to wait as he followed after Banner. "Banner, there is something you should know."

Banner placed his hand on a device and it was scanned before a robotic voice spoke up, "Voice activation required."

"Banner", the scientist spoke up. "Welcome, strongest Avenger."

Thor scrunched up his face disagreeing, "Uhh, what?"

"Ship's log", Banner demanded as he looked at the monitor. A film started playing and they saw how Hulk was transported into space.

                         "Thor, where are we?"
Freya exhaled deeply as she finally made herself known to the man, "You're on Sakaar."

The two men spun around to the women and Banner gave Thor a questioning look, "And who are they?"

Thor pointed awkwardly at the two, "Uh, that is Freya Montess and Sierra Luanes."

"And who are you?", Sierra questioned him as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Bruce Banner", the grey haired man introduced himself.

"Attention please. I have some bad news. My beloved champion has turned up missing. Take to the streets. Celebrate my champion", the voice of the Grandmaster echoed through the city while his image appeared on the modern buildings.

"Who is that?", Banner questioned as they both watched the man. "He kinda runs this place. You actually lived in his house for a while."

              "I did?"

Thor continued to look out of the window, "Quiet a lot happened. You and I had a fight recently."

             "Did I win?"

"No, I won. Easily", the God stated, making Bruce frown at him, "Dosen't sound right."

              "Well, it's true."

"It seams that criminally seductive lord of Thunder has stolen him away", The Grandmaster continued, making Thor furrow his brows. "Seductive God of Thunder. We need to move."

The God dashed past Frey and Sierra to look for some cloth he could give to Banner. Bruce sighed as he followed after him slowly, "This is bad. Thor, I think I'm freaking out."

He laid a hand on his chest and Thor quickly joined him with a couple of cloths. "No, no, no. Don't freak out. You're okay. Put these on."

"These are Tony's cloths", Banner said as he eyed them and Thor nodded his head at him. "Is he here?"

Thor shook his head, he placed his hands on Bruce shoulders as he lead him to another room in the jet.

"No, he's not here. But listen, just stay calm, okay? The sun is getting low. The sun is getting really low."
