A soft, gentle breeze blew through the threshold of the (L/N) household. Small footsteps can be heard rummaging around the upstairs bathroom, before swiftly moving towards the bedroom next door.

(Y/N) lay just beyond the doorway, her long, drawn out breaths attracting the cause of the noise. Feeling her bed dip just below her head, she slowly creeps one eye open and sighs. The feeling of two small paws pressing against her cheeks causes her to groan.

"Get off.." she whispers out with a smile, and mumbles when the paws once again return, this time with more force. "Moomoo.." the teen groans once more, and gently lifts the cat off her chest to place him by the space where her knees tuck together.

Sighing, she lays back down, only to silently curse when she hears her alarm ring out, signaling that it's a new day. Slowly getting up, she turns at the sound of her door opening.

(M/N) greets her daughter with a gentle smile, which she returns. "I'm about to head out, you want anything from the store?" She waits patiently as (Y/N) gets up and stretches, while chuckling as Moomoo clings to the front of her night shirt.

Her mother walks up and takes the small kitten in her arms as her daughter smiles. "I think we need some more milk bread-oh and tuna for-" she gestures to the cat with a bored expression. "..that."

Her mom gently taps the top of her daughter's head. "Alright then." She goes to speak but hesitates, her hand hovering just above (Y/N)'s tangled and messy head of hair. The teen takes notice of this, and raises a brow.

"..you know I'm proud of you, right?"

Curiously, (Y/N) takes Moomoo from her mother's arms and sets him down before staring up at her mother, waiting for her to continue. (M/N) sighs, "Look at me, getting all sentimental again." She sniffs, and matches her daughter's gaze.

"Don't worry about me, worry about getting dressed for that-what is it? 'Farewell swim thing'?" At this (Y/N)'s eyes shoot open and she scrambles out of her bed, tripping once or twice while kicking her duvet off her body.

"Shit shit shit SHIT!" She stammers as she gets ready, and her mother chuckles before exiting her room.

(M/N) hesitates at the edge of the room. "Oh right, an old friend of yours stopped by to pay us a visit."

"Rin?" (Y/N) yells from the bathroom, and her mother rolls her eyes. "Absolutely not." She hears her daughter snicker. Despite the two's relationship having been repaired, (M/N) had yet to forgive the sharped tooth demon for bringing her daughter back in tears almost every night.

(Y/N) sighs, and emerges from the bathroom with her hair wrapped in a towel while she zipped up her dark red jumpsuit. "Okay, so who was it?" She watches as her mother gently sets Moomoo atop a dresser before shrugging.

"I invited him and his family over for dinner one of the days." She mumbles, and her daughter blinks twice at her. "Oookay, but who is it?" (Y/N) feels her eye twitch when her mother continues to stay quiet.

She groans when her mother shrugs once more. "Fine, keep your secrets, I got a race to get to." Finally tying her shoes, the teen placed a small kiss to her mother's cheek before zipping downstairs.

(M/N) follows her daughter silently, a small smile on her face as she watches her child run around the kitchen and finally shove an overdone egg in her mouth, the yolk running down her chin.

(Y/N) groans in frustration but stops when her mother gently grabs her hand. Turning her child towards her, (M/N) wipes the yolk away with a tissue, and stares at her child with fondness.

The teen raises her brow. "What?" She mumbles out with a laugh, and laughs harder when her mother smooshes a dramatic kiss against her forehead. "I'm so proud of you." She says with a sigh, and releases her child to fetch her handbag from the kitchen table.

(Y/N) smiles at her mother, and together they make their way towards the door. "I'll be back home by five-six at the latest, alright?" (M/N) receives a nod, and unlocks her car before getting in. "You sure you don't need a ride, I don't mind."

(Y/N) shakes her head, and begins to roll her ankles and stretch her arms above her head. "Nah, it's better for me to run, helps me get in the right mindset." She receives a nod from her mother, and bids her farewell as she drives in the opposite direction.

Breathing in deep, the (H/C) teen looks up to the sky, still a faint colour of dark blue that slowly bled into the orange morning glow. A small 'meow' is heard from above, and turning her head up she spots her kitten pawing at the window, almost as if he was bidding her farewell.

(Y/N) smiles at the sight, and lets out a huff before taking off into a run, her damp hair gently blowing in the breeze as she breathed in and out with each step she took. A buzz from her pocket causes her to look down and slow her run as she fishes her phone from her pocket, and scoffs at the message.

'Mind bringing over some milk bread? Nagisa won't stop hassling me for a bite of my food.'

She breaths out a laugh, and switches her phone off before continuing on her route, with a small reminder to stop by a convenience store to sooth her bread loving friend.
