The One with the Howler
''Hey Harry!'' you call and wave when you see the black-haired boy with the round spectacles. Harry searches through the crowd and spots you. He enthusiastically waves back.
''Let's go, the Potter's are right there,'' you say. Sirius smiles as he spots his old school friends. ''Let's go then.''
''Nothing has changed,'' Remus chuckles and looks around the platform. The others survey the platform and chuckle. ''Memories,'' Lily chuckles. ''It's their time to make memories,'' Remus adds.
You and Harry had heard a lot of stories about their parents. About being prefects and head boys. The mischief they had caused. ''You'll not cause that much as mischief,'' they had told you.
''Are you ready?'' Sirius asks and squads down to your level. You nod and smile broadway, ''yes!'' Sirius returns the smile, ''we are gonna miss you though.'' ''I will miss you too.'' You hug Sirius.
''And I'll miss you too,'' you say, hugging your other father. Remus kneels down and hugs you, ''be a good girl.'' Sirius joins the family hug. ''I always will.''
''If you want to go to Hogwarts, you should aboard the Express,'' James comments as the conductor whistles. Remus lays his hand on your back and pushes you into the direction of the Express.
''Let's go, Harry.'' You grab Harry's hand after he has said goodbye to his parents. Harry found an empty compartment and gestured you to come. You sat across each other, looking out of the window. The Express starts to take off and you both waved to your parents.
Remus turned to James and Lily, ''they grow up so fast.'' Lily had to wipe a small tear away, ''yes. They do.'' ''Ah, Lils. They will be alright and behave,'' James says, putting an arm around his wife's shoulder. ''I hope they will enjoy it,'' Sirius comments. ''I think they will, I mean, it's Hogwarts,'' James chuckles.
''Shall we go back to our place?'' Lily suggests. Remus and Sirius accept the offer and go to the car.
They have arrived at the magical castle. A giant man had led them to the castle, delivering them to a tall woman with a strict face. ''Firs' years, Professor McGonagall,'' the man says. ''Thank you, Hagrid.''
"Welcome to Hogwarts," said Professor McGonagall. "The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory, and spend free time in your house common room.
"The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rulebreaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup, a great honour. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours.''
Professor McGonagall led all the first-years to the Great Hall. It was lit by thousands and thousands of candles that were floating in midair over four long tables, where the rest of the students were sitting. These tables were laid with glittering golden plates and goblets.
At the top of the hall was another long table where the teachers were sitting. Professor McGonagall led the first years up here so that they came to a halt in a line facing the other students, with the teachers behind them. The hundreds of faces staring at them looked like pale lanterns in the flickering candlelight.
You heard Hermione, a girl you met on the train, rambling all the spells she already knew. Even though you knew you just had to sit there, it made you a little nervous. ''Hermione, what are you doing?'' you whisper. ''Maybe they will give you some sort of test,'' she whispers back.
''A test?'' Ron Weasley said, panicking. ''A test?!'' Neville asks anxiously. You also met Ron Weasley and Neville Longbottom on the train, because you had shared a compartment with them. You chuckle before saying, ''you just have to sit on the stool and that's it. Relax.'' Ron lets out a sigh of relief, ''blimey. You really had me, Granger.''
You were the first of the four and waited when the Professor had read your name. ''Lupin-Black, Y/N!'' she calls, which makes you step forwards. You take the seat on the stool and McGonagall places the Hat on your head. ''Ah, Lupin and Black. Hmmm, you have a great heart, big heart,'' it grunts, ''very strong brain. Willing to do everything that needs to be done. Not afraid of hard-working.''
It kept on rambling and rambling. You started to feel nervous with all the eyes upon you. ''Hmm, well I will choose GRYFFINDOR! Hatstall,'' he mumbles after the yelling. McGonagall holds back her smile and calls the next one on the list.
Harry, Hermione, and Ron are also placed in Gryffindor. After dinner, the Gryffindor prefect, which happens to be one of Ron's older brothers, leads you the way to the Gryffindor Tower. He shows you the password and lets you all inside.
You and Hermione took off to the girl's dormitory while Harry and Ron went to theirs. ''I can't wait for tomorrow,'' Hermione beams. You smile, ''you are already prepared, aren't you?'' She nods, ''but you became a Hatstall.'' A light blush reaches your cheek, ''yeah, it had to think it through, 9 times, before being sure of the sorting.''
The next day, you started with Charms. You sat between Harry and Hermione. In front of you lays a feather, ''levitation charm.'' You draw your attention to Professor Flitwick, who is explaining the charm.
''Go give it a try,'' Flitwick encourages. You concentrate on your feather, ''Wingardium LeviOsa.'' You manage to levitate the feather. ''Well done, miss Lupin-Black!'' Flitwick claps and cheers. Every student looks at you with widening eyes. ''H-hermione can do it too,'' you say, glancing at Hermione.
Hermione lets also her feather levitate, both earning points from Flitwick. ''Well done, ladies.'' ''Wingardium LeviosA!'' Ron says, sweeping with his wand. ''Stop, stop, stop. You are going to take someone's eye out. Besides, you're saying it wrong. It's leviOsa, not leviosA.'' Ron grumbles and puts his head on his pile of books.
After Charms, you were heading towards the Quidditch fields for your first flying class. Madam Hooch came in walking in with a pace. ''Goodmorning, class. Today we will be starting with our first flying class. I want NO, I repeat, NO students in the air without my permission.''
''Stand next to your broom, your hand hovering over, and say Up.'' Madam Hooch takes a step backwards and lets the students try. ''Up,'' you say and the broom flies into your hand. You were taken aback when you saw the others didn't succeed.
Suddenly, Neville flew into the air. Madam Hooch yells at the poor boy but silences when he falls onto the floor. She rushes towards him and carefully holds his wrist.
"I'm taking Longbottom to the Hospital Wing. If I see any student in the air... will be in deep trouble!" She walks away with Neville while Draco picks up what Neville has dropped. ''Isn't this that stupid remembrall thing of Longbottom?''
''Give it to me, Malfoy,'' you say, stepping forwards. ''And then what?'' He kicks himself off the floor and flies into the air, ''are you going to follow me?'' You step onto your broom when Hermione warns you, ''Y/N, don't! He's not worth it, plus you'll get detention!''
However, you didn't listen to Hermione and kicked off the ground. ''What. An. Idiot.'' You confront Malfoy in air and pursue him.
''If you think you're so perfect, catch this,'' he snarls and throws the remembrall through the air. You dive towards it and you actually catch it. What you didn't know, was that you caught the ball in front of the window of McGonagall's office, with McGonagall sitting in front of the window.
You came back on the ground when the Head of Gryffindor came in running onto the field. ''Lupin-Black, you're coming with me!'' Her face wasn't that angry but for a first-year, it was creepy.
Professor McGonagall took you into the school and stopped outside a classroom. She opens the door and pokes her head inside. ''Excuse me, Professor Flitwick, could I borrow Wood for a moment?''
Wood? You thought, was Wood a cane she was going to use on you? But Wood turned out to be a person, a burly fifth-year boy who came out Flitwick's class, looking confused.
''Follow me, you two,'' Professor McGonagall said, and they marched on up the corridor, Wood looking curiously at you. ''In here.'' Professor McGonagall pointed them into a classroom that was empty except for Peeves, who was busy writing rude words on the blackboard.
''Out, Peeves,'' she barks. Peeves throws the chalk into a bin, which clangs loudly, and he swoops out cursing. Professor McGonagall slammed the door behind him and turned to face the two boys.
''Potter, this is Oliver Wood, I've found you a Seeker,'' she says. Wood's expression changes from puzzlement to delight. ''Are you serious, Professor?'' ''Absolutely,'' Professor McGonagall said crisply. ''The girl's a natural. I've never seen anything like it. Was that your first time on a broomstick, Lupin-Black?''
You nodded silently. You didn't have any clue what was going on, but you didn't seem to be being expelled, and some of the feelings started coming back to his legs.
''She caught that thing in her hand after a fifty-foot dive,'' Professor McGonagall told Wood. ''Didn't even scratch herself. Charlie Weasley couldn't have done it.''
Wood was now looking as though all his dreams had come true at once.
Later that day, you decided to write a letter to your fathers. You would send your owl towards home and hope for a letter the day after.
Dear Dads,
I've made it into Gryffindor and the Sorting Hat had a hard time to place me. It had to think for 6 minutes, which made me a Hatstall.
Today was my first day of class and we had Flying Class. Madam Hooch had to leave with Neville Longbottom because he fell off his broom, out of the air.
Malfoy grabbed Neville's remembrall and went into the air. I pursued him into the air. Malfoy had thrown the ball and I dove downwards and caught it! (Apparently, it was in front of Professor McGonagall's office)
Professor McGonagall came in running and took me with her. She got a student out of his Charms class and sent us to an empty classroom.
The student's name was Oliver Wood, Captain of Gryffindor Quidditch Team. Professor McGonagall said to Wood that she had found him a Seeker. I don't know what that means, but I thought I would be expelled.
So, I think I became Seeker of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team :)
I hope you are doing alright! I've made new friends; Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom, and Ron's elder brothers.

The next day, you were attending breakfast with Hermione and the rest. The owls came in flying and landed where they needed to be.
Your owl, Loki, has a few things to be precise. A large package and a red-letter. Hermione eyes widened at the letter, "that's a Howler." Her voice was terrified. Your eyes widened at Hermione's words.
"Did my dads send these?" ''I should open it, right now before the letter opens it itself.'' You open the letter and it immediately transforms into a face. Your father's voice echoes through the letter.
''Y/N I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! BECOMING A SEEKER IN YOUR FIRST YEAR! NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THAT! I AM SO PROUD!'' Sirius cries. ''Shhh, Sirius! Calm down! Honey, we are so proud of you, as Sirius had mentioned,'' Remus said.
The letter dissolved and you sat there in silence. The whole Great Hall was in silence. You blushed like crazy. ''That was better than expected,'' Hermione comments. You nod and chuckle.
''You have another package,'' Harry points. You curiously unwrap the package. A group was forming around you, curious what it could be. It turned out to be a broom.
''The Nimbus 2000,'' you breathe and search for a note, but you couldn't find it. You examine the room and spot Professor McGonagall with Loki. She pets it and sends you a warm smile, which gives away she was the one who gave it.
Oliver seems like he could faint every moment while Fred and George are dancing around each other. ''Welcome to the team, Y/N.''
Extended Scene
''Sirius, look,'' Remus points to the owl sitting in the opened window with a letter in his beak. ''Isn't that Loki?'' he asks and walks towards the owl. He grabs the letter and strokes his head. ''Let's see what she wrote, shall we?'' Sirius says, opening the letter.
Dear Dads,
I've made it into Gryffindor and the Sorting Hat had a hard time to place me. It had to think for 6 minutes, which made me a Hatstall.
''She is a Hatstall,'' Sirius repeats, already tears forming in his eyes. Remus smiles broadway.

''She has become the Seeker of the Quidditch Team. As a first-year,'' Sirius screeches. He hugs his husband in full delight. ''I am so proud of her and it is only her first day!'' Remus comments.
Sirius turned his letter into a Howler and suddenly his voice filled the room. Remus had added his own message before giving the red coloured letter to Loki.
